Conditions Implying Self-adjointness of Operators

In this paper, we show that if is a quasi-class A operator and S is an arbitrary operator for which and ST = T*S, then T is self-adjoint, and we also show that quasisimilar quasi-class A operators have equal spectra and essential spectra. Fredholm Operators and Riesz Theory for Polynomially Compact Operators

In this article, we give a characterization of a class of bounded Fredholm operators on a Banach space which is developed to present some general existence results of the operators equation of the second kind. The obtained results are used to describe the Riesz–Schauder theory of compact operators in the more general setting of polynomially compact operators.

Toeplitz Operators on Symplectic Manifolds

We study the Berezin-Toeplitz quantization on symplectic manifolds making use of the full off-diagonal asymptotic expansion of the Bergman kernel. We give also a characterization of Toeplitz operators in terms of their asymptotic expansion. The semi-classical limit properties of the Berezin-Toeplitz quantization for non-compact manifolds and orbifolds are also established. Second-named author partially supported by the SFB/TR 12.

On Concave Operators

We prove that a u0-concave operator can include other concave operators, and derive a sufficient and necessary condition for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed point of a kind of u0-concave operator under a weaker condition.

On the Similarity between Volterra Operators and Transformation Operators for Integro-Differential Operators of Fractional Order

We establish the similarity between certain Volterra integral operators and the Riemann--Liouville fractional integration operator as well as the existence of a triangular transformation operator for integro-differential equations of fractional order. The results obtained are consistent with similar results for the case of integer order.     

Toeplitz Operators on Dirichlet Spaces

In this paper we study Toeplitz operators on Dirichlet spaces and describe the boundedness and compactness of Toeplitz operators on Dirichlet spaces. Shorted算子的几何结构

Multiplication and Compact-friendly Operators

During the last few years the authors have studied extensively the invariant subspace problem of positive operators; see [6] for a survey of this investigation. In [4] the authors introduced the class of compact-friendly operators and proved for them a general theorem on the existence of invariant subspaces. It was then asked if every positive operator is compact-friendly. In this note, we present an example of a positive operator which is not compact-friendly but which, nevertheless, has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace.In the process of presenting this example, we also characterize the multiplication operators that commute with non-zero finite-rank operators. We show, among other things, that a multiplication operator M commutes with a non-zero finite-rank operator if and only the multiplier function is constant on some non-empty open set.     

Some Maximal Operators Related to Families of Singular Integral Operators

In this paper, we shall study L^p-boundedness of two kinds of maximal operators related to some families of singular integrals.     

线性算子的摄动定理

该文利用Mbekhta M于1987年引入的两个子空间来研究线性算子的摄动. 证明了如下结论：设X=K(T)+W, 其中K(T), W均闭, dim［K(T)∩N(T)］< ∞. 若TWW, TW闭, 且存在闭子空间N, 使W=［W∩N(T)］N, 则： 当S∈B(X)可逆, ST= TS, SWW, 且‖S‖充分小时， T-S为上半Fredholm算子. 在上条件下, 若dimN<∞, K(T′)闭, 则T-S为Fredholm算子, 且R(T-S)=X.     

广义弱亚正规算子的正规性

主要研究了T是广义弱亚正规算子时,T~t是拟正规算子的充要条件是T是拟正规算子.并且举例说明了存在非次正规的广义弱亚正规算子T使得T~t是次正规的.     

Holomorphic T-Monsters and Strongly Omnipresent Operators

Assume that G is a nonempty open subset of the complex plane and that T is an operator on the linear space of holomorphic functions in G, endowed with the compact-open topology. In this paper we introduce the notions of strongly omnipresent operator and of T-monster, which are related to the wild behaviour of certain holomorphic functions near the boundary of G. T-monsters extend a concept introduced by W. Luh and K.-G. Grosse-Erdmann. After showing that T is strongly omnipresent if and only if the set of T-monsters is residual, it is proved in this paper that certain kinds of infinite order differential and antidifferential operators are strongly omnipresent, which improves some earlier nice results due to the mentioned authors.     

Szego-Type Limit Theorems for Generalized Discrete Convolution Operators

We study the asymptotic behavior of the averaged f-trace of a truncated generalized multidimensional discrete convolution operator as the truncation domain expands. By definition, the averaged f-trace of a finite-dimensional operator A is equal to , where n is the dimension of the space in which the operator A acts, the set of numbers γ_k, k = 1,..., n, is the complete collection of eigenvalues of the operator A, counting multiplicity; a generalized discrete convolution is an operator from the closure of the algebra generated by discrete convolution operators and by operators of multiplication by functions admitting a continuous continuation onto the sphere at infinity.__________Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, vol. 78, no. 2, 2005, pp. 265–277.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by I. Closed Semistable Operators and Singular Differential Equations

We study a class of closed linear operators on a Banach space whose nonzero spectrum lies in the open left half plane, and for which 0 is at most a simple pole of the operator resolvent. Our spectral theory based methods enable us to give a simple proof of the characterization of C ₀-semigroups of bounded linear operators with asynchronous exponential growth, and recover results of Thieme, Webb and van Neerven. The results are applied to the study of the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to a singularly perturbed differential equation in a Banach space.     

Operator Matrix Forms of Positive Operators

If a 3-tuple (A:H1→H1,B:H2→H1,C:H2→H2）of operators on Hibert spaces is given,we proved that the operator ～↑A:=(↑A ↓B^*↑B ↓C) on H=H1 H2 is ≥0 is and only if A≥0,R(B)∪→R（A^1/2) and C≥B^* A^ b,where A^ is the generalized inverse of A.In general,A^ is a closed operator,but since R(B)∪→R(A^1/2,B^* A^ B is bounded yet.
