Complexity in modern radiotherapy treatments demands advanced dosimetry systems for quality control. These systems must have several characteristics, such as high spatial resolution, tissue equivalence, three-dimensional resolution, and dose-integrating capabilities. In this scenario, gel dosimetry has proved to be a very promising option for quality assurance. In this study, the feasibility of Fricke and polymer gel dosimeters suitably shaped in form of thin layers and optically analyzed by visible light transmission imaging has been investigated for quality assurance in external radiotherapy. Dosimeter irradiation was carried out with a 6-MV photon beam (CLINAC 600C). The analysis of the irradiated dosimeters was done using two-dimensional optical transmission images. These dosimeters were compared with a treatment plan system using Monte Carlo simulations as a reference by means of a gamma test with parameters of 1 mm and 2%. Results show very good agreement between the different dosimetric systems: in the worst-case scenario, 98% of the analyzed points meet the test quality requirements. Therefore, gel dosimetry may be considered as a potential tool for the validation of other dosimetric systems.  相似文献

Hydroxyl free radicals produced in Fricke solution exposed to 80 kV X-rays or 23 kHz ultrasound (intensity 3 W cm−2) or 20 kHz ultrasound (intensity 18.9 W cm−2) or 3.5 MHz clinical ultrasound (intensity 1.47 W cm−2), as estimated from the Fricke dosimetric data, exhibited a linear dose-response relationship. The dosimeter was found to be effective in the concentration range 1.0–8.0 mM of FeSO4 solution. The hydroxyl radicals produced in Fricke solution were inhibited by the OH radical scavengers dimethyl sulfoxide (200 mM), -histidine (10 mM) and sodium benzoate (10 mM) in a manner proportional to the rate constants of their reaction with the OH radicals. The power threshold for OH radical formation, which is presumably the threshold for cavity formation, was estimated for 23 kHz ultrasound by this dosimeter as 1.28 W cm−2 for a 4 cm3 sample volume.  相似文献

The two-dimensional problem of generalized thermoelastic diffusion material with thermal and diffusion relaxation times is investigated in the context of the Lord-Shulman theory.As an application of the problem,a particular type of thermal source is considered and the problem is solved numerically by using a finite element method.The components of displacement,stress,temperature distribution,chemical potential,and mass concentration are obtained.The resulting quantities are depicted graphically for a special model.An appreciable effect of relaxation times is observed on various resulting quantities.  相似文献

In previous investigations the formation of radicals induced by γ-irradiation in CR-39 samples has been studied by electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. On the other hand, all attempts fail to detect radicals in samples irradiated by particles (p, and neutrons). The present work succeeded in detection of radicals produced by charged particle radiation in CR-39 (TASTRAK). The detectors were irradiated with protons of 7 MeV and -particles of 3 MeV with fluences in the order of 1011–1012 particles/cm2. The observed ESR signal is composed of at least four different resonance lines for each of which we determined the amplitudes, g-factors, lifetimes and the G-value. The amplitude of the total ESR signal decreases rapidly with a short and a longer lifetime. About 5 days after irradiation the ESR intensity decreased to an undetectable value. The lowest detectable dose (LDD) is of the order of 1 kGy.  相似文献

The dynamic behaviors of water contained in calcium-silicate-hydrate(C-S-H) gel with different water content values from 10%to 30%(by weight),are studied by using an empirical diffusion model(EDM) to analyze the experimental data of quasi-elastic neutron scattering(QENS) spectra at measured temperatures ranging from 230 K to 280 K.In the study,the experimental QENS spectra with the whole Q-range are considered.Several important parameters including the bound/immobile water elastic coefficient A,the bound water index BWI,the Lorentzian with a half-width at half-maximum(HWHM) Γ_1(Q) and Γ_2(Q),the self-diffusion coefficients D_(t1) and D_(t2) of water molecules,the average residence times τ_(01)and τ_(02),and the proton mean squared displacement(MSD)(u~2) are obtained.The results show that the QENS spectra can be fitted very well not only for small Q(≤1 A~1) but also for large Q.The bound/immobile water fraction in a C-S-H gel sample can be shown by the fitted BWI.The distinction between bound/immobile and mobile water,which includes confined water and ultra-confined water,can be seen by the fitted MSD.All the MSD tend to be the smallest value below 0.25 A~2(the MSD of bound/immobile water) as the Q increases to 1.9 A~1 no matter what the temperature and water content are.Furthermore,by the abrupt changes of the fitted values of D_(t1),τ_(01),and Γ_1(Q),a crossover temperature at 250 K,namely the liquid-to-crystal-like transition temperature,can be identified for confined water in large gel pores(LGPs) and/or small gel pores(SGPs) contained in the C-S-H gel sample with 30% water content.  相似文献

We have successfully developed a Dy-free grain boundary diffusion process with neodymium hydride (NdHx) alloy to the permanent magnet Nd2Fe14B powders using hydrogenation – disproportionation – desorption – recombination (HDDR) method. All the diffusion treatments were performed at 700–800 °C for various annealing time under the high vacuum with rotating diffusion method that effectively control the abnormal grain growth. The coercivities of Dy-treated Nd2Fe14B powders were varied from 9.5 kOe to 13.2 kOe but the remanence was decreased to 8.1 kG (10% reduction) depending on dysprosium hydride (DyHx) content and diffusion treated time. However, the coercivity and remanence of Dy-free diffusion treated powder have been increased to 12.2 kOe (28.5% enhancement) and 11.1 kG (22% enhancement) at the optimal diffusion treatment (800 °C for 3 h), respectively. This unique simultaneous enhancement is to isolate the magnetic coupling between Nd2Fe14B grains by creating non-magnetic Nd grain boundaries and enhance the alignment of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase, fabricated by optimal diffusion conditions.  相似文献

Pure 2% and 4% Ag-doped ZnO thin films have been synthesized on glass substrates by sol–gel method. The structure, morphology and optical properties of the samples have been studied by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning probe microscope, UV–vis spectrophotometer, respectively. The XRD result shows that the pure ZnO has a wurtzite hexagonal structure, no phase segregation is observed. The surface morphology of pure ZnO thin film shows that the grains are growing preferentially along the c-axis orientation perpendicular to the substrates. The transmittance spectra reveal that all samples have high transmittance above 90% in visible region. With Ag doping content increase, a red shift is observed. The performance of Ag-doped ZnO films using in thin film solar cells are simulated. The results show that 4% Ag-doped ZnO thin film can greatly improve the absorption of the cells. Compare to pure ZnO, solar cell's energy conversion efficiency improvement of 2.47% is obtained with 4% Ag doped ZnO thin film.  相似文献
