The monobasic bidentate Schiff base complexes of palladium(II) and platinum(II) derived from 1H-indol-2,3-dione thiosemicarbazone (L1H) and 1H-indol-2,3-dione semicarbazone (L2H) have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, molecular weight determinations, i.r., 1H n.m.r. and u.v. spectral studies. Based on these studies a square planar environment around the metal atoms has been proposed. Antimicrobial effects of both the ligands and their complexes on different species of pathogenic fungi and bacteria have been recorded and these are found to possess significant fungicidal and bactericidal properties.  相似文献

The Schiff bases, 5-nitro-indol-2,3-dionehydrazinecarboxamide (HSCZ1) and 7-nitro-indol-2,3- dionehydrazinecarboxamide (HSCZ2), have been synthesized by the condensation of 5-nitro-indol-2,3-dione and 7-nitro-1H-indol-2,3-dione with semicarbazide hydrochloride, respectively. The palladium(II) and platinum( II) complexes have been prepared by mixing palladium chloride and platinum chloride in 1: 2 molar ratios with monobasic bidentate Schiff bases. The ligands and complexes of palladium and platinum have been characterized by elemental analyses, melting point determinations, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, and IR, 1H NMR, and UV spectral studies. These studies showed that the ligands coordinate to the metal atoms in a monobasic bidentate mode, coordinating through oxygen and nitrogen donor systems. Thus, a tetracoordinated environment around the metal atom has been proposed. Both the ligands and their complexes have been screened for their biological activity on several pathogenic fungi and bacteria and were found to possess appreciable fungicidal and bactericidal properties. Plant growth regulating activity of one of the ligands and its complexes has also been recorded on gram plant, and results have been discussed. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

Three new vic-dioximes, [L1H2], N-(4-ethylphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime, [L2H2], N-(4-butylphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime, and [L3H2], N-(4-methoxyphenyl)amino-1-acetyl-1-cyclohexenylglyoxime were synthesized from 1-acetyl-1-cyclohexeneglyoxime and the corresponding substituted aromatic amines. Metal complexes of these ligands were also synthesized with Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) salts. These new compounds (ligands and complexes) were characterized with FT–IR, magnetic susceptibility measurement, molar conductivity measurements, mass spectrometry measurements, thermal methods (e.g. thermal gravimetric analysis), 1H NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and 13C NMR spectral data and elemental analyses.  相似文献

Some metal complexes of Schiff bases have been prepared by the interactions of palladium(II) and platinum(II) chloride with 5-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(phenyl)-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one-hydrazinecarbothioamide(L1H) and 5-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(phenyl)-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one-hydrazinecarboxamide(L2H), in bimolar ratios. All the new compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. The spectral data are consistent with a square planar geometry around Pd(II) and Pt(II) in which the ligands act as neutral bidentate and monobasic bidentate ligands, coordinating through the nitrogen and sulfur/oxygen atoms. Free ligands and their metal complexes were screened for their antimicrobial activity on different species of pathogenic fungi and bacteria and their biopotency has been discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

A novel dioxime, 1,2 dihydroxyimino-3,7-diaza-9,10-O-benzaloctane (LH2) was prepared by reaction of l,2-0-benzylidene-4-aza-7-aminoheptane and anti-phenylchloroglyoxime in absolute ethanol. Mononuclear complexes with a metal-ligand ratio of 1:2 were prepared with Co(II), Cu(II) and Ni(II). To elucidate the structures of the ligand and complexes, elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data and magnetic susceptibility measurements have been examined.  相似文献

New complexes of gallium(III) and thallium(I) derived from 5,6-dimethyl-1H-indol-2,3-dione hydrazinecarbothioamide (L1H) and 5,6-dimethyl-1H-indol-2,3-dione hydrazinecarboxamide (L2H) have been prepared and investigated using a combination of microanalytical analysis, melting point, molar conductance measurement, electronic, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectral studies. Gallium isopropoxide interacts with the ligands in 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 1 : 3 molar ratios resulting in the formation of colored products, whereas TlCl forms only unimolar products. The mono- and bis-alkoxy derivatives are dimeric, while the tris ligand metal complexes are monomeric. On the basis of conductance and spectral evidences, a pentacoordinate structure for gallium(III) 1 : 1 complexes, hexacoordinate structure for 1 : 2 and 1 : 3 complexes, and a bicoordinate geometry for thallium(I) complexes have been assigned. The ligands are coordinated to gallium(III) and thallium(I) via the azomethine nitrogen and the thiolic sulfur/enolic oxygen. The antimicrobial activities of the ligands and complexes have been screened in vitro against bacteria Pseudomonas cepacicola and Bacillus subtilis and fungi Collectatrichum capsici and Fusarium oxysporum. The complexes have higher activities than the free bases. In vivo studies of the ligands and their corresponding complexes have also been carried out to assess their antifertility and antiradiation activities. The results of these activities indicate the antiandrogenic and radiation protective nature of these complexes.  相似文献

Cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes with three dioxime ligands cyclohexylamine-p-tolylglyoxime (L1H2), tert-butyl amine-p-tolylglioxime (L2H2) and sec-butylamine-p-tolylglyoxime (L3H2), have been prepared. The metal to ligand ratios of the complexes were found to be 1?:?2. The Cu(II) complexes of these ligands are proposed to be square planar; the Co(II) complexes are proposed to be octahedral with water molecules as axial ligands. Ligands and complexes are soluble in common solvents such as DMSO, DMF, CHCl3 and C2H5OH. The ligands have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-VIS, 1H?NMR, 13C?NMR and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-VIS, magnetic susceptibility measurements, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and electrochemistry. Electrochemical properties of metal complexes show quasi-reversible one-electron redox processes. However, Co(L1H)2 and Cu(L1H)2 complexes show another oxidation peak in the positive region. This single irreversible oxidation peak is caused by the cyclic ring of the ligand. Data also revealed that the electron transfer rates of metal complexes with L1H2 are higher than the other complexes.  相似文献

The novel mixed ligand complexes [M(bpy)(phen-dione)](PF6)2 (M?=?Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), bpy?=?2,2-bipyridine and phen-dione?=?1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and electronic absorption spectroscopies. The ν(C=O) of coordinated phen-dione in these complexes are very similar to the free phen-dione ligand showing that phen-dione is not coordinated to metal ion from its C=O sites. Absorption spectra of the complexes show two absorption bands for intraligand transitions. These absorption bands show dependence to the dielectric constant of solvent. These complexes exhibit an intensive fluorescence band around 535?nm in DMF when the excitation wavelength is 260?nm at room temperature. The fluorescence intensity of these complexes is larger than that of the free ligand.  相似文献

A series of copper(II) complexes were synthesized by the reaction of copper(II) chlorid with 1‐phenyl‐3methyl‐(3‐dervitives phenylhydrazo)‐5‐pyrazolone (HLn) yields 1:1 and 1:2 (M:L) complexes depending on the reaction conditions. The elemental analysis, spectral (IR, 1H NMR, UV‐Vis and ESR), conductance and magnetic measurements were used to characterize the isolated complexes. The IR spectral data indicate that the metal ions are coordinated through the oxygen of the keto and nitrogen of hydrazone groups. The UV‐Vis spectra, magnetic moments and ESR studies indicate square planar geometry for Cu(II) complexes ( 1–3 ) by NO monobasic bidentate and the two monobasic trans bidentate in octahedral geometry for Cu(II) complexes ( 4–6 ). It is found that the change of substituent affects the theoretical calculations of Cu(II) complexes. Molecular docking was used to predict the binding between the ligands (HLn) and the receptors of prostate cancer mutant (2Q7K), breast cancer mutant (3HB5), crystal structure of E. coli (3T88) and crystal structure of S. aureus (3Q8U). The molecular and electronic structures of Cu(II) complexes and quantum chemical calculations were studied. According to intramolecular hydrogen bond leads to increasing of the complexes stability.  相似文献

Thiosemicarbazone derivatives are formed on reaction between acetophenone, salicylaldehyde, benzophenone and/or 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone and thiosemicarbazide or its N4H substituents (ethyl-, phenyl-, and p-chlorophenyl-). The ligands were investigated by elemental analysis and spectral (IR, 1H?NMR and MS) studies. The formulas of the prepared complexes have been suggested by elemental analyses and confirmed by mass spectra. The coordination sites of each ligand were elucidated using IR spectra revealing bidentate and tridentate coordination. Different geometries for the complexes were proposed on the basis of electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. The complexes have been analyzed thermally (TG and DTG) and the kinetic parameters for some of their degradation steps were calculated.  相似文献

A series of new mixed ligand complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) with citronellal thiosemicarbazone [3,7-dimethyl-6-octene-1-a1 thiosemicarbazone (LH)] and N-phthaloyl amino acids (AH) have been synthesized by the reaction of metal(II) chloride with ligands citronellal thiosemicarbazone (DOTSC) and N-phthaloyl glycine [1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-2H-isoindole-2-acetic acid (A1H)] or N-phthaloyl alanine [1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-α(methyl)-2H-isoindole-2-acetic acid (A2H)] in 1:1:1 molar ratio in dry refluxing ethanol. All the complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance measurement, molecular weight measurement, IR, and multinuclear NMR (1H and 13C{1H}) spectral studies. IR, 1H, and 13C{1H} NMR spectral studies suggest the involvement of azomethine-N, thiol-S atoms of the thiosemicarbazone moiety and both carboxylate-O of N-phthaloyl amino acid moiety in coordination with central metal(II) ion, and four coordinated geometries have been assigned to these complexes. The free ligands and metal complexes have been screened for their antifungal activity against two fungal strains, Fusarium moniliformae and Macrophomina phaseolina, using the the radial growth method. The results of antifungal activity show that metal complexes show enhanced higher activity than the free ligands.

A series of new mixed ligand complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) with cis-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienthiosemicarbazone (CDOTSC; LH) and N-phthaloyl amino acids (AH) have been synthesized by the reaction of metal dichloride with ligands CDOTSC and N-phthaloyl derivative of DL-glycine (A1H), L-alanine (A2H), or L-valine (A3H) in a 1:1:1 molar ratio in dry refluxing ethanol. All the isolated complexes have the general composition [M(L)(A)]. The plausible structure of these newly synthesized complexes has been proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weight measurement, and various spectral (IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR) studies, and four coordinated geometries have been assigned to these complexes. All the complexes and ligands have been screened for their antibacterial activity.  相似文献

Cadmium(II) complexes of thiones and thiocyanate, [(>C=S)2Cd(SCN)2], have been prepared and characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy. An upfield shift in the >C=S resonance of thiones in the 13C NMR and downfield shift in N–H resonance in 1H NMR are consistent with sulfur coordination to cadmium(II). The presence of ν(N–H) of thiones in IR spectra of the complexes indicates the thione forms of the ligands in the solid state; some contribution of the thiolate form was observed in one complex. The appearance of a band around 2100 cm?1 in IR and a resonance around 132 ppm in 13C NMR indicates the binding of thiocyanate to cadmium(II).  相似文献

Tridentate Schiff-base ligands derived from condensation of 3-formyl-4-hydroxybenzyl-triphenylphosphonium chloride with glycine, L-alanine, L-valine, L-leucine and L-phenylalanine in the presence of Zn(OAc)2 · 2H2O form five new water-soluble Zn(II) complexes, which were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, electronic absorption and 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopies. In the IR spectra of the complexes, the difference between the asymmetric and the symmetric carboxylate stretching frequencies is larger than ~210 cm?1, which implies that the carboxylate groups are monodentate. UV-Vis electronic absorption studies show that Zn(II) functions as a trap for the Schiff-base intermediate. Schiff-base complexes formation were confirmed by the appearance of new signals in the 1H NMR for the azomethine hydrogen at ~8 ppm and condensed L-amino acids at 3.4–3.8 ppm (C(3)–H). These complexes are formed through coordination of the ONO from the carboxyl, imino and phenoxy groups of the ligands to Zn(II).  相似文献

Neutral complexes of three phthalhydrazidylazo-1,3-diketones [phthalhydrazidylazo-acetylacetone (H2PAA),-benzoylacetone (H2PBA) and-dibenzoylmethane (H2PDM)] with Cu(II), Ni(II), Pd(II) and Fe(III) have been synthesised and characterized on the basis of their analytical data, magnetic moment, molar conductance and IR and1H NMR spectral data. Dibasic tridentate coordination of the ligands is brought out by the above spectral data. Half-wave potentials and far IR spectral data of the Cu(II) complexes indicate that the H2PAA complex is the most stable. M?ssbauer spectra of the Fe(III) complexes reveal that delocalisation of the metald electrons with the chelate ring decreases with increasing capability of the pendant groups of the ring for cross conjugation.  相似文献

The 12- and 14-membered diazadioxo macrocyclic ligands, 1,2?:?7,8-diphenyl-6,9-diaza-3,12-dioxocyclododecane (L1) and 1,2?:?8,9-diphenyl-7,10-diaza-3,14-dioxocyclotetradecane (L2), were synthesized by condensation between o-phenylenediamine, 1,2-dibromoethane/1,3-dibromopropane, and catechol. Metal complexes [ML1Cl2] and [ML2Cl2] [M?=?Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)] were prepared by interaction of L1 or L2 with metal(II) chlorides. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR, EPR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements, and Electrospray ionization-mass spectral (ESI-MS) studies. The results of elemental analyses, ESI-MS, Job's method, and conductivity measurements confirmed the stoichiometry of ligands and their complexes while absorption bands and resonance peaks in IR and NMR spectra confirmed the formation of ligand framework around the metal ions. Stereochemistry was inferred from the UV-Vis, EPR, and magnetic moment studies.  相似文献

Cu(II) complexes with Schiff bases DMIIMP, DMIIMBD, DMIIMBP, DMIIMCP, DMIIMMP, and DMIIMNP (see Introduction for definitions) are derived from condensation of 3,4-dimethyl 5-amino-isoxazole with salicylaldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes. The newly synthesized ligands were characterized by IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectra, and elemental analysis. The Cu(II) complexes were characterized by IR, UV-Vis, ESR, elemental analysis, magnetic moments, thermogram, DTA, and single crystal analysis. The complexes have general formula [M(L)2]. The Schiff bases are bidentate coordinating through the azomethine nitrogen and phenolic oxygen of salicylaldehydes. Based on the analytical and spectral data, four-coordinate geometry is assigned for all the complexes. ESR and single crystal analysis suggests square planar geometry for all complexes. [Cu(DMIIMP)2] crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. Antimicrobial studies of Schiff bases and their metal complexes show significant activity with the metal complexes showing more activity than corresponding Schiff bases. Cytotoxicity of the copper complexes on human cervical carcinoma cells (HeLa) was measured using the Methyl Thiazole Tetrazolium assay.  相似文献
