HL and MeL are prepared by condensing benzil dihydrazone with 2-formylpyridine and 2-acetylpyridine, respectively, in 1:2 molar proportions. While in a reaction with [Ru(C(6)H(6))Cl(2)]2, HL yields the cation [Ru(C(6)H(6)){5,6-diphenyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazine}Cl]+, MeL gives the cation [Ru(C(6)H(6))(MeL)Cl]+. Both the cations are isolated as their hexafluorophosphate salts and characterised by X-ray crystallography. In the case of HL, double domino electrocyclic/elimination reactions are found to occur. The electrocyclic reaction occurs in a C=N-N=C-C=N fragment of HL and the elimination reaction involves breaking of a C-H bond of HL. Density functional calculations on model complexes indicate that the identified electrocyclic reaction is thermochemically as well as kinetically feasible for both HL and MeL in the gas phase. For a double domino reaction, similar to that operative in HL, to occur for MeL, breaking of a C-C bond would be required in the elimination step. Our model calculations show the energy barrier for this elimination step to be much higher (329.1 kJ mol(-1)) for MeL than that for HL (96.3 kJ mol(-1)). Thus, the domino reaction takes place for HL and not for MeL. This accounts for the observed stability of [Ru(C(6)H(6))(MeL)Cl]+ under the reaction conditions employed.  相似文献

New non-electrolytic triorganotin(IV) derivatives of dipeptides with general formulae R3Sn(HL), where R = Ph and HL = monoanion of glycylisoleucine (H2L-1), valylvaline (H2L-2), alanylvaline (H2L-3), leucylalanine (H2L-4), leucylleucine (H2L-5); R = n-Bu and HL = monoanion of glycylisoleucine (H2L-1) and leucylalanine (H2L-4); and R = Me and HL = monoanion of leucylalanine (H2L-4) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of infrared, multinuclear 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR and 119Sn M?ssbauer spectroscopic studies. These investigations suggest that all the ligands in R3Sn(HL) act as monoanionic bidentates coordinating through the COO- and NH2 groups. The 119Sn M?ssbauer studies, together with the NMR data, indicate that, for these polymeric derivatives, the polyhedron around tin in R3Sn(HL) is a trigonal-bipyramid with the three organic groups in the equatorial positions, while the axial positions are occupied by a carboxylic oxygen and the amino nitrogen atom from the adjacent molecule. The anti-inflammatory and cardiovascular activities and toxicity of all these compounds have been determined. Four of the complexes have also been screened against some of the chosen bacterial and fungal strains. The Ph3Sn(IV) compounds exhibit better anti-inflammatory and cardiovascular activities in comparison to the Me3Sn(IV) and n-Bu3Sn(IV) analogues. n-Bu3Sn(Gly-Ile) and Ph3Sn(Ala-Val) exhibit good antibacterial activity against all the chosen strains.  相似文献

New organotin(IV) complexes of the general formula R3Sn(L) (where R=Me, n-Bu and HL=L-proline; R=Me, Ph and HL=trans-hydroxy-L-proline and L-glutamine) and R2Sn(L)2 (where R=n-Bu, Ph and HL=L-proline; R=Ph, HL=trans-hydroxy-L-proline) have been synthesized by the reaction of RnSnCl(4-n) (where n=2 or 3) with sodium salt of the amino acid (HL). n-Bu2Sn(Pro)2 was synthesized by the reaction of n-Bu2SnO with L-proline under azeotropic removal of water. The bonding and coordination behavior in these complexes have been discussed on the basis of IR and 119Sn M?ssbauer spectroscopic studies in the solid-state. Their coordination behavior in solution has been discussed with the help of multinuclear (1H, 13C and 119Sn) NMR spectral studies. The 119Sn M?ssbauer and IR studies indicate that L-proline and trans-hydroxy-L-proline show similar coordination behavior towards organotin(IV) compounds. Pentacoordinate trigonal-bipyramidal and hexacoordinate octahedral structures, respectively, have been proposed for the tri- and diorganotin(IV) complexes of L-proline and trans-hydroxy-L-proline, in which the carboxylate group acts as bidentate group. L-glutamine shows different coordination behavior towards organotin(IV) compounds, it acts as monoanionic bidentate ligand coordinating through carboxylate and amino group. The triorganotin(IV) complexes of L-glutamine have been proposed to have trigonal-bipyramidal environment around tin. The newly synthesized complexes have been tested for their antiinflammatory and cardiovascular activities. Their LD50 values are >1000 mg kg-1.  相似文献

Nanoporous tin(II/IV) phosphate materials, with spherical morphology, have been synthesized using cetyltrimethylammonium chloride [CH3(CH2)15N(CH3)3Cl] as the surfactant. The structure of the material is stable at 500 degrees C; however, partial oxidation of the material occurs with redox conversion of Sn2+ to Sn4+, resulting in a mixed Sn(II)/Sn(IV) material. Preliminary batch contact studies were conducted to assess the effectiveness of nanoporous tin phosphate, NP-SnPO, in sequestering redox-sensitive metals and radionuclides, technetium(VII), neptunium(V), thorium(IV), and a toxic metal, chromium(VI), from aqueous matrixes. Results indicate that tin(II) phosphate removed >95% of all contaminants investigated from solution.  相似文献

The synthesis of novel triphenyltin(IV) compounds, Ph3SnLn (n = 1–3), with oxaprozin (3-(4,5-diphenyloxazol-2-yl)propanoic acid), HL1, and the new propanoic acid derivatives 3-(4,5-bis(4-methoxylphenyl)oxazol-2-yl)propanoic acid, HL2, and 3-(2,5-dioxo-4,4-diphenylimidazolidin-1-yl)propanoic acid, HL3, has been performed. The ligands represent commercial drugs or their derivatives and the tin complexes have been characterized by standard analytical methods. The in vitro antiproliferative activity of both ligands and organotin(IV) compounds has been evaluated on the following tumour cell lines: human prostate cancer (PC-3), human colorectal adenocarcinoma (HT-29), breast cancer (MCF-7), and hepatocellular cancer (HepG2), as well as on normal mouse embryonic fibroblast cells (NIH3T3) with the aid of MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-12 diphenyltetrazolium bromide) and CV (crystal violet) assays. Contrary to the inactive ligand precursors, all organotin(IV) carboxylates showed very good activity with IC50 values ranging from 0.100 to 0.758 µM. According to the CV assay (IC50 = 0.218 ± 0.025 µM), complex Ph3SnL1 demonstrated the highest cytotoxicity against the caspase 3 deficient MCF-7 cell line. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) analysis indicated a two-fold lower concentration of tin in MCF-7 cells in comparison to platinum. To investigate the mechanism of action of the compound Ph3SnL1 on MCF-7 cells, morphological, autophagy and cell cycle analysis, as well as the activation of caspase and ROS/RNS and NO production, has been performed. Results suggest that Ph3SnL1 induces caspase-independent apoptosis in MCF-7 cells.  相似文献

Four new macrocyclic dinuclear dibutyltin(IV) dithiocarbamate complexes of the type [Bu2Sn(dtc)]2, where dtc = hexane‐1,6‐diylbis(4‐fluorobenzyldithiocarbamate) anion ( 1 ), hexane‐1,6‐diylbis(4‐chlorobenzyldithiocarbamate) anion ( 2 ), hexane‐1,6‐diylbis(furfuryldithiocarbamate) anion ( 3 ) and hexane‐1,6‐diylbis(pyrrole‐2‐ylmethyldithiocarbamate) anion ( 4 ), have been prepared. The dithiocarbamate ligands efficiently self‐assemble with Bu2Sn(IV) to form bimetallic 26‐membered macrocycles. All the complexes have been characterized using elemental analysis, infrared and NMR (1H and 13C) spectroscopies and X‐ray crystallography. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis of all the complexes confirms the formation of the dinuclear metallomacrocycles in which dithiocarbamate ligands are asymmetrically bound to the tin atoms. The coordination sphere around the tin atom in 1 – 4 can be described as a skew trapezoidal bipyramid. The dimensions of the cavity of the macrocycles of 1 – 4 are ca 8.0 × 9.0 Å2. Complexes 1 – 4 were evaluated for their in vitro anticancer activity against MCF‐7 and HL‐60 cells. Complexes 1 and 2 are more active against MCF‐7 and HL‐60. Thermal decomposition of 1 and 4 yielded tin sulfides. They were characterized using powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy and UV diffuse reflectance and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopies. PXRD studies reveal that the as‐prepared tin sulfides are composed of orthorhombic phase of SnS.  相似文献

New diorganotin(IV) complexes of a Schiff base (HL) having general formula R2Sn(L)Cl (where L is the monoanion of HL and R = n‐Bu or Ph) have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis, infrared, NMR (1H, 13C, 119Sn) and UV–visible spectroscopies and mass spectrometry. These investigations suggest that in these 1:1 monomeric derivatives the Schiff base ligand acts in a monoanionic bidentate manner coordinating through the Ophenolic and Nazomethine, with proposed distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around tin with Ophenolic and two organic groups in the equatorial plane and the Nazomethine and the third organic group in axial positions. The proposed structures have been validated by density functional theory (DFT)‐based quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP/6‐31G(d,p)/Def2‐SVP (Sn) level of theory. The simulated UV–visible spectrum was obtained with the time‐dependent DFT method in the gas phase and in the solvent field with the integral equation formalism–polarizable continuum model. A comparative analysis of the experimental vibrational frequencies and simulated harmonic frequencies indicates a good correlation between them. An insight into the intramolecular bonding and interactions among bonds in organotin(IV) complexes of HL was obtained by means of natural bond orbital analysis. The topological and energetic properties of the electron density distribution for the tin–ligand interaction in R2Sn(L)Cl have been theoretically calculated at the bonds around the central tin atom in terms of atoms‐in‐molecules theory. The R2Sn(L)Cl complexes were screened for their in vitro antifungal activity against chosen fungal strains.  相似文献

N-Benzoyl-N-phenylhydroxylamine (BPHA) and cupferron are compared in the liquid-liquid extraction of tin and antimony. As in their precipitation reactions tin(II) and tin(IV) behave similarly with BPHA and differently with cupferron. Both reagents behave similarly in extraction of antimony (III), except at high acidity when cupferron or its decomposition products prevent extraction which otherwise occurs into chloroform alone. Separations of Sn, Sb, As and Bi are discussed for extractions from hydrochloric and perchloric acid systems with BPHA. The tin product extracted with BPHA from dilute hydrochloric acid appears to be identical with that precipitated in gravimetric analysis; infrared spectral evidence shows the latter to contain tin(IV). Other precipitation reactions of BPHA in the presence of anions other than chloride and some solubility measurements are also reported.  相似文献

The search for possible conformations of 2-formylpyridine (H2FoPyS), 3-formylpyridine (H3FoPyS), and 4-formylpyridine (H4FoPyS) semicarbazones was carried out using potential energy surface method at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. Thermodynamic quantities of amino-imino tautomerizations of the most stable conformers for H2FoPyS (o-Atctcc), H3FoPyS (m-Acttcc), and H4FoPyS (p-Atttcc) determined via the transition states with and without water-assisted proton transfers, derived from the frequencies calculations at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level in gas and aqueous phases are reported.  相似文献

A number of indolo[3,2-c]quinolines were synthesized and modified at the lactam unit to provide a peripheral binding site able to accommodate metal ions. Potentially tridentate ligands HL(1a)-HL(4a) and HL(1b)-HL(4b) were reacted with copper(II) chloride in isopropanol/methanol to give novel five-coordinate copper(II) complexes [Cu(HL(1a-4a))Cl(2)] and [Cu(HL(1b-4b))Cl(2)]. In addition, a new complex [Cu(HL(5b))Cl(2)] and two previously reported compounds [Cu(HL(6a))Cl(2)] and [Cu(HL(6b))Cl(2)] with modified paullone ligands HL(5b), HL(6a), and HL(6b), which can be regarded as close analogues of indoloquinolines HL(1b), HL(4a), and HL(4b), in which the pyridine ring was formally substituted by a seven-membered azepine ring, were synthesized for comparison. The new ligands and copper(II) complexes were characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR, IR and electronic absorption spectroscopy, ESI mass spectrometry, magnetic susceptibility measurements in solution at 298 K ([Cu(HL(1a))Cl(2)] and [Cu(HL(4b))Cl(2)]), and X-ray crystallography ([Cu(HL(3b))Cl(2)]·3DMF, [Cu(HL(4b))Cl(2)]·2.4DMF, HL(5b) and [Cu(HL(5b))Cl(2)]·0.5CH(3)OH). All complexes were tested for cytotoxicity in the human cancer cell lines CH1 (ovarian carcinoma), A549 (non-small cell lung cancer), and SW480 (colon carcinoma). The compounds are highly cytotoxic, with IC(50) values ranging from nanomolar to very low micromolar concentrations. Substitution of the seven-membered azepine ring in paullones by a pyridine ring resulted in a six- to nine-fold increase of cytotoxicity in SW480 cells. Electron-releasing or electron-withdrawing substituents in position 8 of the indoloquinoline backbone do not exert any effect on cytotoxicity of copper(II) complexes, whereas copper(II) compounds with Schiff bases obtained from 2-acetylpyridine and indoloquinoline hydrazines are 10 to 50 times more cytotoxic than those with ligands prepared from 2-formylpyridine and indoloquinoline hydrazines.  相似文献

Tin(IV) very readily hydrolyses in solution, and forms hydrous tin oxide SnO(2)2.nH(2)O even in rather strongly acidic solution. In spite of a lack of reliable data on the hydrolysis of tin(IV) a consistent picture of the behaviour of tin(IV) in solution has been constructed. Some values for the formation of hydroxide and chloride complexes were deduced from electrochemical data. In agreement with more or less qualitative remarks by other investigators a value of log k(so) = -3 has been found for the solubility constant. For the stability constant of tin(IV)-EDTA, log K(SnY) = 34.5 was found experimentally. A survey is given of the pitfalls which exist in handling tin solutions. A back-titration procedure is presented that provides for the complexometric determination of tin(IV) at concentrations down to 3 ppm, with an error of 1% or better. Thorium is used as back-titrant with Semi-Xylenol Orange as indicator. The method has successfully been applied to the analysis of organotin compounds.  相似文献

Triphenyltin(IV) compounds of p-ethoxybenzoic acid and acetylsalicylic acid contain molecular units with Sn–O bonds and distorted tetrahedral tin centers. The phthalic acid derivative contains two four-coordinate tin atoms between which the phthalic acid unit effectively forms a bridge. The salicylaldehydato compound is polymeric with trigonal bipyramidal tin centers in which the phenyl groups take equatorial positions. The polymerization occurs via the aldehyde oxygen atom bonding to a neighboring tin atom. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The tin(IV)/5,7-dichloro-8-quinolinol/chloroform extraction system is used to determine the composition and the stability constants of the aqueous complexes of tin(IV) with citric acid, in the pH range 2.0–3.5. The tin(IV):citric acid ratios found are 1:1 and 1:2, depending on the concentration of the acid. The conditional stability constants are (5.5 ± 0.4) × 103 and (1.3 ± 0.3) × 103 for the 1:1 and 1:2 complexes, respectively. This extraction system is convenient in studies of aqueous tin(IV) complexes that cannot be extracted into chloroform.  相似文献

Abstract

Cyclic voltammaetry of mixed tin(II)/tin(IV) solutions was investigated in 6M HCl on gold and mercury electrodes. It was found that the reduction of tin(II) to tin(iv) proceeded irreversibly while tin(II) to tin(IV) was reversible. Two forms of tin(IV) are postulated. The peak potential for the reduction of tin(IV) was a function of both tin(II) and tin(IV) while that for the oxidation of tin(II) was a function only of tin(II) concentration Potentials for all oxidations and reductions were a function of potential scan rate.  相似文献

Local molecular environment effects on the rates of ligand exchange at an asymmetric di[dihydroxotin(IV)] bis-porphyrin 5 are examined. The host 5 possesses four non-equivalent tin(IV)-ligand binding sites that are distinguished by their position relative to a shallow cavity, by the steric environment at each binding site and by electronic-structure differences between the constituent porphyrin and quinoxalinoporphyrin macrocycles. These design features of the asymmetric host are confirmed by X-ray crystal structure analysis. Binding experiments with monodentate carboxylic acids and bidentate dicarboxylic acids show significant differences in the rate of ligand exchange at each of the four tin(IV) binding sites. For monodentate carboxylic acids, binding preferentially occurs at the exterior porphyrin site. Further addition of carboxylic acid results in sequential binding at the quinoxalinoporphyrin sites and lastly at the interior site on the porphyrin, with high regioselectivity. These selective binding outcomes are immediately apparent by NMR spectroscopy. A series of 2D NMR spectroscopy experiments allowed identification of the preferred binding sites at the host. This positively identifies that steric hindrance and electron-withdrawing functionality on the porphyrin macrocycle impede ligand exchange. However, these effects are overcome by dicarboxylic acid guests, which form ditopic hydrogen-bond interactions between the intracavity hydroxo ligands in the initial stage of ligand exchange, leading to regioselective binding between the tin(IV) sites within the cavity. It is envisaged that the factors identified herein that define regioselective ligand exchange at host 5 will find wider application in supramolecular systems incorporating tin(IV) porphyrins.  相似文献

A series of organotin(IV) complexes with 2‐mercapto‐5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole (HL) of the type R3 Sn(L) (R = Me 1 ; Bu 2 ; Ph 3 ; PhCH2 4 ) and R2Sn(L)2 (R = CH3 5 ; Ph 6 ; PhCH2 7 ; Bu 8 ) have been synthesized. All complexes 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H, 13 C, and 119Sn NMR spectra. Among these, complexes 1 , 3 , 4 , and 7 were also determined by X‐ray crystallography. The tin atoms of complexes 1 , 3 , and 4 are all penta‐coordinated and the geometries at tin atoms of complexes 3 and 4 are distorted trigonal–bipyramidal. Interestingly, complex 1 has formed a 1D polymeric chain through Sn and N intermolecular interactions. The tin atom of complex 7 is hexa‐coordinated and its geometry is distorted octahedral. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Carbonyl allylations by allylic chlorides either with tin(IV) iodide and tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) in dichloromethane or with tin(IV) iodide and sodium iodide in 1,3-dimethylimidazolidin-2-one at room temperature produced the corresponding homoallylic alcohols. The carbonyl allylations probably proceeded via the reduction of tin(IV) iodide to triiodostannate(II) species with iodide sources such as TBAI and NaI, which led to the construction of a tin(IV)-catalytic cycle based on regeneration of tin(IV) iodide via the transmetalation of homoallyloxytriiodotin to homoallyloxytrimethylsilane with iodotrimethylsilane.  相似文献
