The wavelength of a helium-neon laser operating at 640 nm coincides with two strong absorption lines in the spectrum of iodine-127 when the gain tube is filled with neon-22. The absorption lines have been identified by measuring their hyperfine structure and the performance of the laser has been investigated. The beat frequency pair variance between two similar lasers was 7.6 kHz for a 10-second averaging time and the wavelength of component g of the 8-5 P(10) line was measured as 640.2834686 nm. 相似文献

An experimental study is reported for optimum mirror transmission in a helium-neon laser for a wavelength of 1.15 and generation in several longitudinal modes. The results agree closely with calculations if homogeneous saturation of the line is assumed. This is also confirmed by radiated power for distances of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.9 m between the mirrors.In conclusion the author expresses thanks to V. V. Reshetnikov and A. K. We present a method of generating two-mode single atom
laser based on the nonresonant interaction of a three-level
Λ type atom in a two-mode cavity with three strong classical
driving fields. An analytical solution for this effective dynamics
under the presence of the cavity losses is obtained, which allow us
to analyze the entanglement properties and the photon statistics of
the two cavity modes exactly. It is also shown that the possible
generation of the two-mode entangled coherent states in the

The results of investigation of high harmonics of radiation of a Ti:sapphire laser propagating through a laser plasma generated on the surface of different targets are presented. For most of the targets, the intensity distribution of the high harmonics generated is found to form a plateaulike pattern similar to that observed in the case of gas jets. The generation of high harmonics (up to the 65th harmonic, λ = 12.24 nm) is caused by the interaction of femtosecond laser radiation with ions. The conversion efficiency in the plateau region varies from 10?7 to 8 × 10?5 depending on the target. The main restriction on the conversion efficiency and the peak intensity of the harmonics generated is caused by the self-defocusing of the femtosecond radiation due to free charge carriers formed as a result of tunnel ionization. 相似文献
