An antiferromagnetic equivalent-neighbour Heisenberg interaction Hi between impurity spins is added to the reduced s-d Hamiltonian Hr previously introduced by simplifying the Kondo s-d exchange Hamiltonian HK. Asymptotic mean-field theory is developed for Hr + Hi, in the presence and absence of external magnetic field, and applied to (La1−xCex)Al2 alloys. Specific heat ci(T) and zero-field susceptibility χi(0,T) curves for (La1−xCex)Al2 are depicted. The coupling constants of Hr + Hi and conduction bandwidth are adjusted so that Tc temperatures for x = 0.2, 0.1 are equal to the experimental values. ci(T) exhibits a jump at Tc and is decreasing for T < Tc. χi(0,T) has a first order pole at Tc which corresponds to the maximum of experimental susceptibility and χi(0,0) > 0. These results improve those obtained earlier on the grounds of Hr theory.  相似文献

Silver-sheathed TlBa2Ca2Cu3O9+δ (Tl-1223) tapes, with a transport critical current density, Jct, of 6200 A/cm2 at 75 K under zero magnetic field, were fabricated by the oxide-powder-in-tube (OPIT) method and characterized using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer. The results of the magnetization and SEM study indicate that, in these tapes, individual grains are distributed randomly in orientation and weak links exist. However, strongly linked percolative current paths within the tape persisting in increasing fields, accompanied by strong intrinsic interplanar coupling, sustain a significant Jct at high fields and lead to the plateau in the Jct-H curve. Dislocation networks, which may act as effective pinning centers, are the common features observed in the tapes. To investigate the effects on flux pinning due to thermomechanical processing, magnetic relaxation at 1 and 2 T over 5–50 K was measured. The tape shows slightly lower normalized relaxation rates (S=-(1/Mo)dM/ dln t) than the cauliflower-like precursor powder. Analyses of the relaxation data obtained from the tape, after incorporating temperature dependence and field scaling, yield an expression for the effective pinning energy Ueff(J,T,H) = (U1/H0.54)[1-(T/ 72.5)2]4(J/Ji)μ. This result was compared with the prediction of the collective flux-creep model, which suggests that Tl-1223 has a three-dimension-like (3D-like) vortex lattice. Presumably, a more plate-like powder morphology may result in improved texturing by the OPIT process. Tl0.5Bi0.5Sr2CaCu2O7+δ ((Tl,Bi)-1212) powder with this morphology was therefore synthesized for comparison.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivity of textured Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy silver-clamped thick films as a function of temperature, current density ranging from 10 to 1×103 A/cm2 and magnetic field up to 0.3 T. We find that the effective activation energy Ue follows Ue(T,J,H)=U0(1−T/Tp)mln(Jc0/J)H with m=1.75 for Hab-plane and 2.5 for Hc-axis and =0.76 for Hab and 0.97 for Hc, for the current density regime above 100 A/cm2, where Tp is a function of applied magnetic field and current density. This result suggests the effective activation energy Ue be correlated with the temperature, current density and magnetic field. The possible dissipative mechanisms responsible for the temperature, current density and magnetic field dependence of the effective activation energy are discussed.  相似文献

The magnetization of single-crystal HoNi2B2C has been measured as a function of applied field (H) and temperature in order to probe the interplay between superconductivity and magnetism in this complex layered system. The normal-state magnetic susceptibility of HoNi2B2C is highly anisotropic with a Curie-Weiss-like temperature dependence for H applied perpendicular to the c-axis and with a much weaker temperature dependence for H applied parallel to the c-axis, indicating that the Ho+3 magnetic moments lie predominately in the tetragonal ab plane below 20 K. High-field magnetization (2000 Oe), low-field magnetization (20 Oe) and zero-field specific heat all give an antiferromagnetic ordering temperature of TN=5.0 K. Remarkably, in 20 Oe applied field both superconductivity (Tc=8.0 K) and antiferromagnetism (TN=5.0 K) clearly make themselves manifest in the magnetization data. From these magnetization data a phase diagram in the HT plane was constructed for both directions of applied field. This phase diagram shows a non-monotonic temperature dependence of Hc2 with a deep minimum at TN=5 K. The high-field magnetization data for H applied perpendicular to the c-axis also reveal a cascade of three phase transitions for T < 5 K and H < 15 000 Oe, contributing to the rich H versus T phase diagram for HoNi2B2C at low temperatures.  相似文献

Anomalous magnetotransport phenomena have been observed in θ-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 crystals at temperatures below 15 K. The magnetoresistance M : (1) is a linear function of the magnetic field H, (2) is not affected by the angle between the electric current and the magnetic field, (3) but depends on the magnetic field orientation with respect to the crystal axis. Magnetoresistance is expressed as M = (aH2a + bH2b + cH2c)0-3/2/H in terms of H = (Ha, Hb, Hc), the zero field resistivity 0, and parameters a, b, and c which are independent of temperature and magnetic field. We have found that b a > c. Magnetoresistance up to 40 is observed for H = 7T along the b-axis at T = 1.5K.  相似文献

The critical state model is used to derive equations that relate the additional magnetic moment (ΔM) produced by the flux pinning to the critical current density (Jc) measured in transport measurements. The equations derived for conventional superconductors can be used for superconductors that contain magnetic ions, if ΔM is replaced by ΔM/(1 + χ′(H)) where χ′(H) is the differential susceptibility. In the critical state, the field gradient has contributions from both the macroscopic supercurrents and the Amperian currents from the magnetic ions. Magnetic measurements are sensitive to both contributions. Transport measurements only characterise the macroscopic supercurrents. For superconductors which contain rare-earth elements, the Jc values calculated using hysteretic magnetisation measurements without including the term χ′(H), can be in error by factors of 7.  相似文献

We have investigated critical lines in the H-T plane in a random anisotropy magnet (RAM) a-Dy16Fe84 with a small effective ratio of the anisotropy (D) to the exchange constant (J) by means of ac susceptibility (χ) in static fields H parallel and perpendicular to the ac field. We found that the transverse χ exhibits an anomaly along the irreversible line H(Tf) determined by previous magnetization measurements, while the longitudinal χ does so along a characteristic line H(Ti) in a lower temperature region. Above H(Tf) we also found an extra characteristic line H(Tc). The lines were almost independent of the measured frequency. Both the present results and previous magnetization results suggest that an equilibrium phase transition occurs, and the critical lines analogous to those in Heisenberg spin glasses are present in a weak RAM.  相似文献

Magnetization σ vs. temperature T was measured from 80 to 700 K in polycrystalline DyFe3 in a magnetic field H = 10 kOe. From σ = f(T), the Curie temperature was determined. Also, σ was measured vs. H from 0 to 70 kOe at 4.2 K. Magnetization at saturation σ0 at 4.2 K and the magnetic moment of DyFe3 were also determined. First observations of domain structure in DyFe3 are reported. The mean domain with is determined in its dependence on the grain size . The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant of polycrystalline DyFe3 is determined as K1 = -1.2×107 erg/cm3.  相似文献

A new frustrated triangular lattice antiferromagnet Na2BaNi(PO4)2 was synthesized by high temperature flux method. The two-dimensional triangular lattice is formed by the Ni2+ ions with S =1. Its magnetism is highly anisotropic with the Weiss constants θCW =-6.615 K (Hc) and -43.979 K (H||c). However, no magnetic ordering is present down to 0.3 K, reflecting strong geometric spin frustration. Our heat capacity measurements show substantial residual magnetic entropy existing below 0.3 K at zero field, implying the presence of low energy spin excitations. These results indicate that Na2BaNi(PO4)2 is a potential spin liquid candidate with spin-1.  相似文献

MnAs0.88P0.12 has been studied by powder neutron diffraction in external magnetic fields up to 15.2 kOe and temperatures down to 4.2 K. MnAs0.88P0.12 takes the MnP type atomic arrangement and exists in para-, ferro- and different (essentially) helimagnetic states. The observation of a double 000± satellite at 4.2 K < T 70 K adds further evidence to the chain of arguments for distinction between the helimagnetic states H'a (4.2 K < T < TS,1 ≈ 70 K) and Ha (TS,2 ≈ 180 K < T < TN = (243 ± 5) K). External magnetic fields at 4.2 K < T < 70 K evoke a new magnetic state, which is also characterized by a satellite doublet, and is tentatively designated H'a,fan.  相似文献

The magnetic anisotropy of a single crystal of TbAl2 has been measured by torque magnetometry from below the Curie point up to 170 K, well into the paramagnetic phase. Within a (110) plane the torque can be described by the expression L(θ) = {P sin 2θ} H2 + {Q sin 2θ + S sin 4θ} H4 + {T sin 4θ} H6, where θ is the an gle formed by the magnetization vector with a [001] axis. The first term (in H2) is interpreted as produced by arrays of defects with axial symmetry. The second (in H4) and third (in H6) terms arise from anisotropic fourth and sixth rank tensor paramagnetic susceptibilities. On the other hand if the anisotropy is described in terms of effective conventional anisotropy constants K1 and K2 within the temperature range 90–170 K it is found that both constants change continuously across the Curie temperature and furthermore the [111] direction remains the easy direction in the paramagnetic range. Anisotropy measurements reveal themselves as a sensitive indicator of the level of macroscopic defects in magnetic crystals.  相似文献

An induced absorption of photons observed in an electron-hole plasma of InSb in the transverse configuration (JH) of the current density J and the magnetic field H has been demonstrated to saturate at high values of J×H at low temperatures. Nevertheless, strong emission of photons having a central wavelength corresponding to the energy gap is still observed at 80 K, suggesting generation of excess electron-hole pairs by the action of the J×H force. The mechanism of the induced absorption is also discussed.  相似文献

The low-temperature (5 K < T < 300 K) magnetic properties of a set of nine isostructural fcc Fe-Cr-Ni (Fe ≈ 68 at %, Cr ≈ 20 at%, Ni ≈ 9 at%) alloys were studied by SQUID magnetometry, neutron diffraction and ultrasonic techniques. Type-1 antiferromagnetic (AF) ordering was observed below the Néel temperature, TN. The dc susceptibility, χ(T), did not exhibit a simple Curie-Weiss dependence. Above TN, atemperature independent component χ0 was observed, i.e., χ(T) = χ0 + C / (itT + θ. TN was systematically influenced by the lattice parameter, a, decreasing from (47.9 ± 0.5) K to (35.0 ± 0.5) K as a increased by only 0.25%. The average magnetic moment of ≈ 0.6μB obtained from neutron scattering was lower than the ≈ 1 μB obtained from the SQUID data. Mean field estimates of antiferromagnetic nearest-neighbors exchange interaction (J1) and ferromagnetic second-nearest-neighbors interaction (J2) indicate that |J2/J1|≈ 1.5. We believe that this is evidence of the RKKY interaction, and self-consistently argue that only the external d electrons are responsible for the localized average moment. This may mean that s-d hybridization of the external electrons is weak in these alloys.  相似文献

The nature of hysteretic behavior of the flux line lattice (FLL) contribution to ac magnetic permeability (μv) is analyzed for the case of YBa2Cu3Ox single crystal (at applied magnetic field Hc axis). It is shown that hysteresis loops μv(H) corresponding to different temperatures (T=70–84 K) are scaled to a universal curve in normalized coordinates. Such a behavior is interpreted in terms of the FLL interaction with the crystal surface. The explicit relationship between μv and magnetic induction B is found for the near-surface region of the superconductor. It is shown that the μv(H) loops are closely related to the hysteresis of B at cycling of applied magnetic field. The latter hysteresis stems from the Bean–Livingston surface barrier. The estimates demonstrate strong suppression of the surface barrier in YBa2Cu3Ox crystal in comparison to that expected for the ideal surface. As a result, the lower branch of the hysteresis loop corresponding to the increasing field is very close to the equilibrium μv(H) curve and the surface barrier appreciably affects only the upper branch when magnetic flux leaves the sample. The comparison of theoretical predictions and experimental data provides an opportunity to refine the actual range of stability Hmax(B)–Hmin(B) for the FLL at fixed B for YBa2Cu3Ox crystal in the case of Hc.  相似文献

YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) films with high critical current density (Jc) were successfully fabricated on nickel tapes buffered with epitaxial NiO. NiO was prepared on the textured nickel tape by the surface-oxidation epitaxy (SOE) method. We have reported so far a critical temperature (Tc) of 87 K and Jc=4–6×104 A/cm2 (77 K, 0 T) for the YBCO films on NiO/Ni tapes. To enhance the superconducting properties of the YBCO films on the SOE-grown NiO, depositions of thin oxide cap layers such as YSZ, CeO2, and MgO on NiO were investigated. These oxide cap layers were epitaxially grown on NiO and provided the template for the epitaxial growth of YBCO films. Substantially improved data of Tc=88 K and Jc=3×105 A/cm2 (77 K, 0 T) and 1×104 A/cm2 (77 K, Hc, 4 T) were obtained for YBCO film on NiO, by using a MgO cap layer with a thickness of 50 nm. The method described in this paper is a simple way to produce long YBCO tape conductors with high-Jc values.  相似文献

提出了一种严格求解任意自旋-s算子幺正演化矩阵的方法,该方法不同于群论的方法和直接计算的方法,是一种间接的算法.方法的核心是利用两个系统表示的等价性:即自旋-s算子Hamiltonian量Hs=Sx与Heisenberg XX开链带相互作用Jn=n(N-n)的Hamiltonian量的等价性,由于存在这种等价性,自旋-s算子幺正演化矩阵的计算可通过Heisenberg XX开链中态的演化来实现.采用该方法计算了s=3/2,s=2和s=5/2时对应的幺正演化矩阵.由于初始态|sm〉在算子e-itSx下的演化实质上相当于对态|sm〉进行一个绕x轴转角为βt的转动,演化矩阵元dsm'm(t)=〈sm′|e-itSx|sm〉就是转动后的态e-itSx|sm〉在|sm′〉态上的投影值,所以在t=π时刻的演化矩阵刚好对应Heisenberg XX开链上量子态的理想传输. 关键词: s算子')" href="#">自旋-s算子 幺正演化矩阵 量子态传输  相似文献

The pure and the site-diluted classical Heisenberg model on the face centered cubic (fcc) lattice with ferromagnetic exchange Jnn between nearest neighbors and antiferromagnetic exchange Jnn = −Jnn/2 between next nearest neighbors is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. Data are generated by the heat bath algorithm for lattice sizes L = 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24, using histogram reweighting techniques and sampling up to several hundred configurations of the random site disorder. From a finite size scaling analysis both the critical temperature and the critical exponents are estimated. For the pure system, the data are in very good agreement with the critical exponent estimates 1/v ≈ 1.42, β/v ≈ 0.51 obtained from other methods (as a check of the accuracy of our approach, we also study the nearest neighbor model — where Jnn ≡ 0− and again obtain very good agreement with the known behavior). However, for the diluted systems evidence for a new universality class is found. While for concentration c = 0.875 of occupied sites strong crossover phenomena preclude us from giving exponent estimates, for c = 0.75 we find 1/v ≈ 1.2 and β/v ≈ 0.45. Possible reasons why the Harris criterion may not apply for this system are discussed. The application of this study to experiments on EuxSr1−xS is briefly mentioned.  相似文献

The influence of the sintering conditions on the microstructure and critical current density Jc has been studied on screen-printed Ag-(Bi, Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox tapes with a ceramics mono-layer core. Three kinds of fabrication processes, which consist of a combination of cold working (rolling and/or pressing) and sintering, are applied. Four times repetition of pressing and sintering after the pre-sintering produces the highest c-axis alignment and achieves Jc= 1.5 × 104 A/cm2 (77 K, 0 T). The Jc versus θ data with an angle θ between B and the c-axis elucidate the relation between the anisotropy ratio γ=Jc(Bc)/Jc(B|c and the half-height angular width Δθ of a peak for Bc. This is related to both grain alignment and the Jc value. An increase in Jc, which comes from an improvement for grain alignment, enhances γ and narrows Δθ. The Jc versus θ data are fitted to the expression Jc(B, θ)=J c(B, 90°)/[(γ−1)|cos θ|n+1] by regarding both γ and n as adjustable parameters. Fabrication of screen-printed tapes with multilayers (1≤N≤5) is presented, where the critical current increases from 8.0 A to 30.2 A at 77 K and 0 T as N increases.  相似文献
