The composition of essential oil isolated from Senecio nudicaulis Wall. ex DC. growing wild in Himachal Pradesh, India, was analysed, for the first time, by capillary gas chromatography (GC) and GC–mass spectrometry. A total of 30 components representing 95.3% of the total oil were identified. The essential oil was characterised by a high content of oxygenated sesquiterpenes (54.97%) with caryophyllene oxide (24.99%) as the major component. Other significant constituents were humulene epoxide-II (21.25%), α-humulene (18.75%), β-caryophyllene (9.67%), epi-α-cadinol (2.90%), epi-α-muurolol (2.03%), β-cedrene (1.76%), longiborneol (1.76%), 1-tridecene (1.16%) and citronellol (1.13%). The oil was screened for antioxidant activity using DPPH, ABTS and nitric oxide-scavenging assay. The oil was found to exhibit significant antioxidant activity by scavenging DPPH, ABTS and nitric oxide radicals with IC50 values of 10.61 ± 0.14 μg mL? 1, 11.85 ± 0.28 μg mL? 1 and 11.29 ± 0.42 μg mL? 1, respectively. 相似文献

Rate constants for the gas-phase reactions of OH radicals with the C(7)-C(14) 1-alkenes and with E-7-tetradecene and 2-methyl-1-tridecene have been measured at 295 +/- 1 K and atmospheric pressure of air using a relative rate technique. The rate constants obtained (in units of 10(-11) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)) were: 1-heptene, 3.86 +/- 0.12; 1-octene, 4.14 +/- 0.08; 1-nonene, 4.32 +/- 0.05; 1-decene, 4.61 +/- 0.14; 1-undecene, 4.79 +/- 0.11; 1-dodecene, 5.03 +/- 0.13; 1-tridecene, 5.09 +/- 0.17; 1-tetradecene, 4.96 +/- 0.28; E-7-tetradecene, 7.47 +/- 0.53; and 2-methyl-1-tridecene, 8.69 +/- 0.27, where the indicated errors are two least-squares standard deviations and do not include the uncertainty associated with the rate constant for the reference compound alpha-pinene. While our rate constants for 1-octene and 1-nonene agree with those at 298 K recently measured using an absolute rate method, our rate constants for 1-decene and 1-undecene are lower by factors of 1.5 and 2.6, respectively. Combined with previous rate constants from this laboratory for the C(4)-C(7) 1-alkenes, our data show that the rate constants for the reactions of OH radicals with 1-alkenes increase linearly with increasing carbon number, with the increase per additional CH(2) group being a factor of approximately 1.4-1.5 higher than that observed in the n-alkane series. The rate constants measured for E-7-tetradecene and 2-methyl-1-tridecene suggest that the increase in rate constant per additional CH(2) group ranges from being similar to that in the n-alkanes series to being a factor of approximately 2 higher. 相似文献

The essential oil composition of the flowers of Senecio belgaumensis (Wight) Cl. was analyzed by gas chromatography and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Forty eight compounds were identified, representing 91.5% of the total oil. 通过柱层析分离,首先采用氯仿分离麻叶千里光有机态和无机态;然后选择正己烷等3种不同极性溶剂作洗脱剂,以硅胶柱进行洗脱;最后用石墨炉原子吸收分光光度计测定了麻叶千里光各洗脱液中硒的含量。结果表明,麻叶千里光有机态和无机态经过正己烷、乙酸乙酯、甲醇3种不同极性溶剂洗脱,测得硒元素含量存在显著差异,其中有机态洗脱后,硒元素含量分别为:正己烷5.142μg/g,乙酸乙酯3.329μg/g,甲醇2.011μg/g;而无机态洗脱后,测得硒元素含量分别为:正己烷1.956μg/g,乙酸乙酯2.505μg/g,甲醇4.109μg/g;RSD(%)分别为:有机态-正己烷0.66,有机态-乙酸乙酯1.04,有机态-甲醇0.38,无机态-正己烷0.42,无机态-乙酸乙酯0.80,无机态-甲醇0.58;加标回收率分别为:98.79%,99.76%,91.42%,82.99%,102.2%,94.50%。 相似文献

Determination of pyrrolizidine alkaloids in Senecio inaequidens D.C. by capillary gas chromatography
A study of the toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids contained in Senecio inaequidens D.C., an infestant species of the Senecio genus, widespread in the North East of Italy, is reported.
