A folding potential describing the -scattering on 16O over a broad energy range 25.8-146.0 MeV is constructed on the basis of -like cluster and unclustered-nucleon configurations of 16O. The resulting potential does not need any renormalization to fit the angular distribution of elastic cross-sections. The effects of the repulsive part of - and -nucleon interactions are investigated. The analysis suggests that both the - repulsive potential and the unclustered nucleonic configuration in the target are important to describe the scattering data over a broad range of incident energies. The root-mean-square radius for the 16O nucleus is deduced.Received: 5 December 2002, Published online: 9 October 2003PACS: 25.55.Ci Elastic and inelastic scattering - 24.10.Ht Optical and diffraction models - 21.60.Gx Cluster models  相似文献

The formalism developed earlier for elastic pd scattering on the basis of Glauber theory with allowance for a total spin dependence is modified by replacing pN amplitudes by amplitudes for N12C scattering and is applied to elastic deuteron scattering on the 12C nucleus. The amplitudes for elastic N12C scattering are obtained within the optical model. Respective numerical calculations performed at the kinetic deuteron-beam energy of 270 MeV lead to results that agree well with data on the differential cross section for d12C scattering into the forward hemisphere, but the calculated spin observable A y d agrees with experimental data only qualitatively.  相似文献

Low-energy ( MeV) from 12 C + 197 Au collisions at incident energies from 300 to 1800 MeV per nucleon were detected with the Si-Si(Li)-CsI(Tl) calibration telescopes of the INDRA multidetector. The inclusive angular distributions are approximately isotropic, consistent with multiple rescattering in the target spectator. The multiplicity correlations of the low-energy pions and of energetic protons ( MeV) with intermediate-mass fragments were determined from the measured coincidence data. The deduced correlation functions for inclusive event samples reflect the strong correlations evident from the common impact parameter dependence of the considered multiplicities. For narrow impact parameter bins (based on charged-particle multiplicity), the correlation functions are close to unity and do not indicate strong additional correlations. Only for pions at high particle multiplicities (central collisions) a weak anticorrelation is observed, probably due to a limited competition between these emissions. Overall, the results are consistent with the equilibrium assumption made in statistical multifragmentation scenarios. Predictions obtained with intranuclear-cascade models coupled to the Statistical Multifragmentation Model are in good agreement with the experimental data.Received: 9 December 2003, Revised: 18 February 2004, Published online: 31 August 2004PACS: 25.70.Mn Projectile and target fragmentation - 25.70.Pq Multifragment emission and correlations - 25.75.Dw Particle and resonance production - 25.75.Gz Particle correlations  相似文献

The very neutron-deficient nuclide 129Pm was produced via the 92Mo(40Ca, p2n) reaction and identified for the first time by using the X- coincidence in combination with a He jet tape transport system. According to the decay curve of a 99 keV -ray which corresponds to the known transition in the daughter nucleus 129Nd of the 129Pm decay, the half-life of 129Pm was determined to be 2.4(9) s. Based on the nuclear potential energy surface (PES) calculations, the ground-state spin-parity of 129Pm was predicted as 5/2- which is favorable to feed a 5/2- low-lying state in the daughter nucleus 129Nd via the (EC ) decay.Received: 20 November 2003, Revised: 7 January 2004, Published online: 29 June 2004PACS: 23.40.Hc Relation with nuclear matrix elements and nuclear structure - 21.10.Hw Spin, parity, and isobaric spin - 24.10.Pa Thermal and statistical models - 27.60. + j   相似文献

Neutron transition densities for the 2 + -8 + levels in 90Zr were extracted in the process of analyzing scattering at 400 MeV. They were compared with the calculated neutron transition densities and with the experimental proton transition densities. Radial distributions of the experimental neutron and proton transition densities for each state were found to be different.Received: 9 January 2004, Revised: 4 April 2004, Published online: 14 September 2004PACS: 25.40.Ep Inelastic proton scattering - 21.10.-k Properties of nuclei; nuclear energy levels  相似文献

The differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of 12C and 16O nuclei by 12C nuclei are calculated on the basis of the theory of multiple diffractive scattering and the dispersive alpha-cluster model. The calculations were performed by using either an effective or a free αα amplitude. It is shown that the results obtained in these two cases are noticeably different.  相似文献

The Raman scattering by isotopically pure 12C and 13C diamond single crystals and by isotopically mixed 12.5C diamond single crystals is studied at a high accuracy. The studies are performed over a wide pressure range up to 73 GPa using helium as a hydrostatic pressure-transferring medium. It is found that the quantum effects, which determine the difference between the ratio of the Raman scattering frequencies in the 12C and 13C diamonds and the classical ratio (1.0408), increase to 30 GPa and then decrease. Thus, inversion in the sign of the quantum contribution to the physical properties of diamond during compression is detected. Our data suggest that the maximum possible difference between the bulk moduli of the 12C and 13C diamonds is 0.15%. The investigation of the isotopically mixed 12.5C diamond shows that the effective mass, which determines the Raman frequency, decreases during compression from 12.38 au at normal pressure to 12.33 au at 73 GPa.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to describe more precisely experimental data on elastic scattering in the 16O + 16O system at E lab = 124, 145, 250, 350, and 480 MeV and in the 16O + 12C system at E lab = 132, 170, 181, 200, 230, 260, and 281 MeV. The role of exchange interaction in the region of backward angles is investigated. The coefficient of incompressibility of nuclear matter is estimated at K = 205 MeV ± 15%.  相似文献

K + K - production in two-photon collisions has been studied using a large data sample of 67 fb-1 accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric e + e - collider. We have measured the cross section for the process for center-of-mass energies between 1.4 and 2.4 GeV, and found three new resonant structures in the energy region between 1.6 and 2.4 GeV. The angular differential cross sections have also been measured.Received: 30 September 2003, Published online: 18 December 2003  相似文献

Multi-nucleon transfer reactions in 18O + 90Zr and 16O + 90Zr have been studied at an incident energy of 90 MeV. The energy spectra and angular distributions are measured. The data have been analyzed to obtain cross-section dependence on the number of nucleons transferred and on the ground-state Q-values. In the 90Zr(18O, X); X = 16O, 17,16,15,14N, 14,13,12C, 12,11,10B, 10,9,7Be and 7,6Li reactions, 2n and 2n-correlated transfer cross-sections are observed to be enhanced as compared to the 16O + 90Zr reaction. A detailed comparison in the multi-particle stripping and elastic-scattering cross-section between these two systems are made in order to investigate the possible influence of the two valence neutrons in 18O nucleus. Diffractional model DWBA calculations, based on the direct surface transfer model, have been performed to understand the reaction mechanism of multi-nucleon transfer to continuum.Received: 12 September 2002, Revised: 24 September 2003, Published online: 27 January 2004PACS: 25.70.Hi Transfer reactions - 25.70.Bc Elastic and quasielastic scattering  相似文献

A new evaluation of the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon magnetic moment is presented. We take into account the reanalysis of the low-energy e + e -annihilation cross section into hadrons by the CMD-2 Collaboration. The agreement between e + e -and spectral functions in the channel is found to be much improved. Nevertheless, significant discrepancies remain in the center-of-mass energy range between 0.85 and , so that we refrain from averaging the two data sets. The values found for the lowest-order hadronic vacuum polarization contributions are where the errors have been separated according to their sources: experimental, missing radiative corrections in e + e -data, and isospin breaking. The corresponding Standard Model predictions for the muon magnetic anomaly read where the errors account for the hadronic, light-by-light (LBL) scattering and electroweak contributions. The deviations from the measurement at BNL are found to be (1.9 ) and (0.7 ) for the e + e -- and -based estimates, respectively, where the second error is from the LBL contribution and the third one from the BNL measurement.Received: 7 September 2003, Published online: 30 October 2003  相似文献

The isotopes 251No and 253No were produced in nuclear reactions 206Pb(48Ca,3n)251No and 207Pb (48Ca,2n)253No. Radioactive decay of these isotopes and their daughter products has been investigated by means of - and - - spectroscopy. An isomeric state 251m No, having a half-life of s and decaying by emission of particles of keV was identified. The measured decay data allowed for the construction of partial level schemes for 251No, 247,249Fm and 243,245Cf and an extrapolation of energy systematics of single particle levels of N = 145, 147 and 149 isotones with even Z towards higher atomic numbers up to Z = 102.PACS: 23.60. + e decay - 27.90. + b - 21.10.-k Properties of nuclei; nuclear energy levels  相似文献

We extract the neutron charge form factor G n E(Q 2) from the charge form factor of deuteron G d C(Q 2) obtained from T 20(Q 2) data at 0≤Q 2≤ 1.717 (GeV/c)2. The extraction is based on the relativistic impulse approximation in the instant form of the relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. Our results (12 new points) are compatible with existing values of the neutron charge form factor of other authors. We propose a fit for the whole set (36 points) taking into account the data for the slope of the form factor at Q 2 = 0. Coupled-channels calculations for the elastic and inelastic scattering of K+ at 715 MeV/c by 6Li and 12C at 635, 715 and 800 kaon Lab momenta have been analysed. The optical potentials of 12C and 6Li are calculated in terms of the alpha-particle and deuteron optical potentials. Good fits to the experimental data and phenomenological calculations are obtained for 6Li and 12C nuclei.  相似文献

Cross sections for e + p charged current deep inelastic scattering at a centre-of-mass energy of have been determined with an integrated luminosity of collected with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The differential cross sections , and for are presented. In addition, has been measured in the kinematic range and . The predictions of the Standard Model agree well with the measured cross sections. The mass of the W boson propagator is determined to be from a fit to . The chiral structure of the Standard Model is also investigated in terms of the (1-y)2 dependence of the double-differential cross section. The structure-function has been extracted by combining the measurements presented here with previous ZEUS results from e - p scattering, extending the measurement obtained in a neutrino-nucleus scattering experiment to a significantly higher Q 2 region.Received: 17 July 2003, Published online: 12 November 2003 a supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) b supported by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), under contract numbers HZ1GUA 2, HZ1GUB 0, HZ1PDA 5, HZ1VFA 5 c supported by the MINERVA Gesellschaft für Forschung GmbH, the Israel Science Foundation, the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation and the Benozyio Center for High Energy Physics d supported by the German-Israeli Foundation and the Israel Science Foundation e supported by the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) f supported by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and its grants for Scientific Research g supported by the Korean Ministry of Education and Korea Science and Engineering Foundation h supported by the Netherlands Foundation for Research on Matter (FOM) i supported by the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research, grant no. 620/E-77/SPUB-M/DESY/P-03/DZ 247/2000-2002 j partially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) k supported by the Fund for Fundamental Research of Russian Ministry for Science and Education and by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) l supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science through funds provided by CICYT m supported by the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council, UK n supported by the US Department of Energy o supported by the US National Science Foundation p supported by the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research, grant no. 112/E-356/SPUB-M/DESY/P-03/DZ 301/2000-2002, 2 P03B 13922 q supported by the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research, grant no. 115/E-343/SPUB-M/DESY/P-03/DZ 121/2001-2002, 2 P03B 07022  相似文献

In this paper, we have calculated the energy spectrum of 12C isotope in two-cluster models, 3 α cluster model and 8Be + α cluster model. We use the modified Yukawa potential for interaction between the clusters and solve the Schrödinger equation using Nikiforov–Uvarov method to calculate the energy spectrum. Then, we increase the accuracy by adding spin-orbit coupling and tensor force and solve them by perturbation theory in both models. Finally, the calculated results for both models are compared with each other and with the experimental data. The results show that the isotope 12C should be considered as a three- α cluster and the modified Yukawa potential is adaptable for cluster interactions.  相似文献

The results obtained by estimating the contribution of 8Be and 9B nuclei to the coherent dissociation of 10C, 10B, and 12C relativistic nuclei in nuclear track emulsions (“white” stars) are presented. The selection of white stars accompanied by 9B leads to a distinct peak appearing in the distribution of the excitation energy of 2α2p ensembles and having a maximum at 4.1 ± 0.3 MeV. A 8Be nucleus manifests itself in the coherent-dissociation reaction 10B → 2He + H with a probability of (25 ± 5)%, (14 ± 3)% of it being due to 9B decays. The ratio of the branching fractions of the 9B + n and 9Be + p mirror channels is estimated at 6 ± 1. An analysis of the relativistic dissociation of 12C nuclei in a nuclear track emulsion revealed nine 3α events corresponding to the Hoyle state.  相似文献

The results of the elastic scattering of 6He+12C systemat E Lab = 18 MeV by using the barrier and internal wave decomposition of the S-matrix element within the framework of the WKB method are presented. This is the first detailed study for the interaction of the exotic 6He nucleus on different stable nuclei by using a semiclassicalmethod. In this paper, we show that in order to obtain the elastic scattering cross section of the 6He+12C systemat energies close to the Coulomb barrier, it is vitally important to take into account the inner complex turning points in the calculations and the tunneling effects play a crucial role to explain the experimental data. The semiclassical results are compared with the experimental data as well as the quantum-mechanical one.  相似文献
