Abstract  

New tridentate nitrogen–oxygen–sulfur Schiff base has been prepared from the condensation reaction of S-methyldithiocarbazate and methylisatin. The compound crystallized in triclinic crystal system with space group P − 1, Z = 2, V = 612.92(3) ?3 and unit cell parameters a = 6.8540(2) ?, b = 8.3022(2) ?, c = 11.5243(4) ?, α  = 79.8186(13)°,  β = 90.5224(14)° and  γ = 72.1362(13)°. Crystal structure reveals that the compound exists in the thione form with the methylisatin moiety is trans with respect to the C3–N2 and C3–S4 bonds whereas the methyl group of the dithiocarbazate moiety is cis with respect to the C3–N2 and C3–S5 bonds. The Schiff base was found to be selectively active against the selected Gram positive bacterial strains (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) with the inhibition zones of 16 and 12 mm, respectively.  相似文献

Abstract  

The title compounds, 4-(3-nitropyridin-2-ylamino)phenol (I) and 4-(3-aminopyridin-2-ylamino)phenol (II), are two intermediates for the synthesis of a potential antitumor agent ABT-751. The reaction of 4-aminophenol with 2-chloro-3-nitropyridine yielded I which was converted into II by reduction. Instead of the Pd/C catalytic hydrogenation described in many literature, reduction with cheap sodium sulfide in aqueous media was utilized for shorting the reaction time and simplifying the operation. The crystal structures of the resultant compounds were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound I is crystallized in P21/c space group of monoclinic system, with a = 11.5236(19) ?, b = 8.7389(17) ?, c = 10.684(3) ? and α = 90.00°, β = 107.76(3)°, γ = 90.00°. The compound II is crystallized in Cc space group of monoclinic system, with a = 10.688(2) ?, b = 14.2181(18) ?, c = 7.9836(15) ? and α = 90.00°, β = 125.801(7)°, γ = 90.00°. In both crystal structures, the intermolecular N–H–O and O–H–N hydrogen bonds link the molecules, which effectively stabilize the structures.  相似文献

Abstract The crystal structure of salicylaldehyde N(4)-phenyl thiosemicarbazone is described. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system, space group P Z = 6, V = 2002.1(5) ?3 with unit cell parameters a = 10.6733(15) ?, b = 13.8856(19) ?, c = 14.052(2) ?, α = 81.851(2)°, β = 77.061(2)° and γ = 83.482(2)°. There are three independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure reveals that the compound exists in the thione form and S1 and N3 are at E configuration to each other with respect to N2–C7 bond. Similarly, S2 and N6 are trans to each other with respect to N5–C21 bond in the second molecule of the asymmetric unit and S3 and N9 are trans to each other with respect to N8–C35 bond in the third molecule of the asymmetric unit. The packing of the molecules in the crystal lattice is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds. In the solid-state structure of the title compound, C16H10FNO6, the configuration about the C=C double bond is E. The compound crystallized in the triclinic system, having space group P-1 with unit cell dimensions a = 5.829(10) ?, b = 8.801(16) ?, c = 13.543(3) ?, α = 87.753(15)°, β = 81.945(15)°, γ = 86.342(14)°. Abstract  

The molecular and crystal structure of the title compound, C14H11Cl2NO, has been determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction technique. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic, space group Pbca with unit cell dimensions a = 7.5537(10) ?, b = 11.5518(13) ?, c = 29.760(4) ?, M r  = 280.14, V = 2596.8(6) ?3, Z = 8, R 1 = 0.065 and wR 2 = 0.191. The title compound exists in the enol–imine tautomeric form with a strong intramolecular O–H···N hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 37.66(15)°. The asymmetric unit in the crystal structure contains only one neutral molecule. Calculational studies were performed by using AM1, PM3, PM6 semi-empirical and DFT methods. Geometry optimizations of compound have been carried out by using three semi-empirical methods and DFT method and bond lengths, bond and torsion angles of title compound have been determined. Dipole moments (Debye) and the energy parameters of compound (kcal/mol) were calculated by using above mentioned calculation methods. Atomic charge distribution has been obtained from AM1, PM3, PM6 and DFT. In order to determine conformational flexibility on the molecule, molecular energy profile of the title compound was obtained with respect to the selected torsion angle T(N1–C7–C1–C2), which is varied from −180° to +180° in every 10 via PM3 semi-empirical method.  相似文献

The title compounds C7H8ClN3O2S, (I), and C9H10ClN3O4S2, (II), both crystallize in monoclinic space group P21 /c with unit cell parameters (I) a = 7.9402(7), b = 10.6312(9), c = 11.7626(10), ?, β = 99.271(5)°, Z = 4 and (II) a = 5.1439(2), b = 9.0636(4), c = 27.1814 (7), ?, β = 95.116(2)°, Z = 4. In (I) the molecule consists of a 5-pyridine-4-yl group bonded to the carbon atom at the 5 position of (1, 3, 4) oxadiazole-2 thione hydrochloride monohydrate. The angle between the mean planes of the oxadiazole and pyridine rings is 9.6(6)°. Crystal packing in (I) is stabilized by strong N–H···O hydrogen bonds in concert with a solvent water molecule and weak O–H···Cl, O–H···S, N–H···Cl intermolecular interactions. The crystal structure of compound (II) consists of 4 [5-ethylsulfanyl)-(1, 3, 4) thiadiazole-2-yl]-pyridinium perchlorate, (C9H10N3S2)+(ClO4), cation–anion pairs, containing strong intermolecular N–H···O hydrogen bonds and weak C–H···O and N–H···O intermolecular interactions operating between the ionic species that form a cooperative hydrogen-bonded, infinite chain O–H···O–H···O–H network which generates a sheet motif structure in the unit cell. It is also supported by weak intermolecular Cg···Cg π–π and Cl–O···Cg π-ring interactions which gives additional support to molecular packing stability in the unit cell. Geometry optimized MOPAC AM1 computational calculations on each compound provides support to the structural features in their respective crystal structures.  相似文献

Two new hydrazone compounds, 3-bromo-N′-(2-methoxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide (1) and N′-(2-methoxybenzylidene)-3,4-methylenedioxybenzohydrazide (2), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and single crystal X-ray diffractions. Compound (1) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with unit cell dimensions a = 8.4088(5) ?, b = 8.5398(5) ?, c = 10.6572(6) ?, α = 90.356(3)°, β = 102.868(3)°, γ = 97.987(3)°, V = 738.28(7) Ǻ3, Z = 2, R 1 = 0.0406, and wR 2 = 0.0804. Compound (2) crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P41 with unit cell dimensions a = b = 9.792(4) ?, c = 15.788(6) ?, V = 1513.8(10) Ǻ3, Z = 4, R 1 = 0.0415, and wR 2 = 0.0818. The molecules of both compounds display E configurations with respect to the C=N double bonds. In the crystal structure of (1), molecules are linked through N–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the b axis. In the crystal structure of (2), molecules are linked through N–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the c axis.  相似文献

Abstract  

Chalcones, 1,3-diphenyl-2-propene-1-ones, exist naturally and synthetically, and are characterized by the linkage of two aromatic rings joining a three carbon α-β-unsaturated carbonyl entity. We report the observation of two new polymorphs of a hydroxy chalcone, C6H5–CO–CH=CH–C6H4 (m-OH), identified as a result of a Claisen–Schmidt synthesis and manual screening technique. One polymorph of this compound has been reported previously and exists in the monoclinic system, space group P2/n, with unit cell parameters a = 13.295(6) ?, b = 5.659(2) ?, c = 16.144(8) ?, β = 109.73(5)°, V = 1143.3(9) ?3, and Z = 4. Two crystalline forms (II and III) reported herein, are polymorphs of the reported monoclinic form (I). Form II exists in the orthorhombic system, space group Pca21, with unit cell constants a = 11.631 (2) ?, b = 13.163 (3) ?, c = 7.3977 (14) ?, V = 1132.6 (4) ?3, and Z = 4. Form III also crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, however in space group Pbca, with unit cell parameters a = 11.8100(8) ?, b = 7.4075(5) ?, c = 25.8729(19) ?, V = 2263.4(3) ?3, and Z = 8. Variations in the hydrogen bonding connectivity help to distinguish these two forms from the monoclinic, whereas crystal packing differentiates the two orthorhombic forms. The conformation of the C=C (C2–C3) is E for both orthorhombic forms.  相似文献

The crystal structure of 9-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3,3-dimethyl-10-(4-methylphenyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10- decahydroacridin-1,8-dione is determined by X-ray diffraction at 153(2) K. The title compound 1, C22H21N5O6, is triclinic, space group P-1, a = 9.6382(15) ?, b = 11.5847(15) ?, c = 12.4722(11) ?, α = 66.075(9)°, β = 70.176(9)°, γ = 85.800(13)°, Z = 2, V = 1194.1(3) ?3. It is interesting that the central pyridine ring of the acridine moiety is slightly distorted and adopts a boat conformation. The outer six-membered ring with two methyl groups adopts half-chair conformation, while another outer partially saturated six-membered ring adopts distorted boat form. In addition, the un-classical hydrogen bonds of C–H···O link the molecules forming polymers in the crystals.  相似文献

Abstract  

The title compound, C18H20N2O2, a potential pharmaceutical agent, crystallizes in the monoclinic P21/n space group with unit cell parameters a = 11.157 (7) ?, b = 8.776 (6) ?, c = 16.460 (11) ?, β = 103.08 (3)°. The tetrahydroquinoline ring system formed by the fusion of the benzene ring and the piperidine ring via two carbon atoms is coplanar, with the later adopting a sofa conformation. The pyrrolidine group in position 4 adopts an envelope conformation. Dimers related by inversion centers and linked by hydrogen bonds of the type N–H···O form cycles described by the graph set R22(16). New Schiff-base compound (E)-2-(2,5-dimethoxybenzylideneamino)phenol (1) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Molecular orbital calculation has been carried out for 1 by using HF method at 6-31G basis set. The title compound 1 crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with a = 19.4581(13) ?, b = 9.5805(5) Ǻ, c = 13.8431(7) Ǻ, β = 93.471(2)°, V = 2575.9(3) Ǻ3 and Z = 8. In the crystal structure two molecules are stabilized by a pair of intermolecular O1–H1···N1i hydrogen bonds. The dimeric units are further linked via C6–H6···O3ii hydrogen bond.  相似文献

In the unit cell, there are two independent molecules having only slightly different bond lengths, torsion angles and the corresponding dihedral angles of the two molecules are also different. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 25.9 (2)°. The molecule adopts a trans configuration about the central C=N functional bond. The crystal structure is stabilized by C–H…O hydrogen bonds and ππ stacking interactions. The title compound possesses moderate antibacterial activity. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P − 1 with unit cell dimensions a = 6.9360(14) ?, b = 10.070(2) ?, c = 12.267(3) ?, α = 84.39(3)°, β = 86.10(3)°, γ = 80.50(3)°, V = 839.8(3) Ǻ3, Z = 2, R 1 = 0.0724, and wR 2 = 0.1720. X-ray structure determination reveals that the compound has a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond or C–N single bond. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular O–H···N, O–H···O, and C–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the ab plane. The preliminary biological tests show that the compound has excellent antibacterial activity. The compound ethyl 2-[4-(acetylamino)phenoxy]-2-methylpropanoate (acetamidofibrate) was prepared by reaction of paracetamol with ethyl 2-bromo-2-methylpropionate. It was characterized by elemental analysis, NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This compound is of interest with respect to its potential bioactivity as analgesic and antidyslipidemic agent. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with unit cell dimensions a = 8.2435(8), b = 9.3390(9), c = 18.2823(18) ?, β = 91.123(2)°, V = 1407.2(2) ?3, Z = 4, R 1 = 0.0465, and wR 2 = 0.1055. The crystal structure is stabilized by N–H···O = C and C–H···O hydrogen-bonding interactions that interconnect molecules into chains running along b axis. The preliminary in silico screening shown that title compound could posse’s antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, hypolipemiant and anti-atherosclerosis effects.  相似文献

Abstract  

Crystal structure analysis of the novel 2-amino-4,6,6-trimethyl-cyclohex-2-en-1,1,3,4(S)-tetracarbonitrile, obtained in 70% yield, by the Bi(OTf)3 catalyzed reaction of acetone and malononitrile, at room temperature, is described. For the first time Bi(OTf)3–Et3N has been used in this inverse electron demand Diels–Alder cycloaddition reaction involving the participation of carbonitrile π-bond. The structure of the molecule was established by spectral analysis and X-ray diffraction studies. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with unit cell parameters: a = 8.0580 (17), b = 13.038 (3), c = 12.641 (3) ?, β = 101.883 (4)°, Z = 4. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined to R = 0.0506 for 2,456 observed reflections. The cyclohexene ring of the molecule adopts a distorted sofa conformation. The molecules in the unit cell are arranged in layers. The crystal structure in stabilized by C–H⋯N and N–H⋯N interactions.  相似文献

Abstract  

4H-chromenes are among the essential groups of biologically important compounds used as synthetic ligands for drug designing and discovery process. In this study, we have presented the single-crystal structure analysis of racemic 4H-chromene derivative namely N-methyl-3-nitro-4-(nitromethyl)-4H-chromen-2-amine. The optical rotation measurement data is supporting that the title compound is racemic in nature. The compound was crystallized in monoclinic crystal system in the non-centrosymmetric space group P21 with unit cell parameters a = 5.1041 (3), b = 7.7519 (4), c = 14.7974 (8), α = 90°, β = 97.088 (5)° and γ = 90°. The nitro group of title compound is disordered over two orientations (N3A/O4A/O5A & N3B/O4B/O5B) with the refined site-occupancy ratio of 0.626(6)/0.374(6). The structure was solved by direct methods using the program SHELXS-97 and refined by SHELXL-97 with the full-matrix least square procedure to a final R-value of 0.0429 and Goodness of Fit (GooF) of 0.982. The molecules in the unit cell are stabilized by N–H···O and C–H···O types of hydrogen bonds. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds are forming C (6) motifs, which is observed to contribute the crystal packing stability. Moreover, the intramolecular hydrogen bonds are forming S (6) motif essential to stabilize the molecular structure of title compound.  相似文献
