We prove finite jet determination results for smooth CR embeddings, which are of constant degeneracy, using the method of complete systems. As an application, we obtain a reflection principle for mappings between a Levinondegenerate hypersurface in N and a Levinondegenerate hypersurface in N+1.We also give an independent proof of the reflection principle for mappings between strictly pseudoconvex hypersurfaces in any codimension due to Forstneric [14].  相似文献

We prove that if M is a connected real-analytic holomorphically nondegenerate hypersurface in Cn+1, then for any point pM there exists an integer k such that any two germs at p of local biholomorphic mappings that send M into itself and whose k-jets agree at p are identical. The above is a special case of a more general theorem stated for formal hypersurfaces that gives a finite jet determination result for the class of formal mappings whose Jacobian determinant does not vanish identically.  相似文献

This paper gets the Beltrami equations satisfied by a 1-quasiconformal mapping, which are exactly CR or anti-CR equations on (2,2)-type quadric Q0. This means a 1-quasiconformal mapping on Q0 is CR or anti-CR. This reduces the determination of 1- quasiconformal mappings to a problem on the theory of several complex analysis. The result about the group of CR automorphisms is used to determine the unit component of group of 1-quasiconformal mappings.  相似文献

Abrasive water jets (AWJs) are finding growing applications for machining a wide range of difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys, stainless steel, metal matrix and fibre reinforced composites, etc. Current applications of AWJs include machining of Titanium alloys for aircraft components and bio-medical implants to removal of aircraft engine coatings. This paper presents the application of an elasto-plastic model based explicit finite element analysis (FEA) to model the erosion behaviour in abrasive water jet machining (AWJM). The novelty of this work includes FE modelling of the effect of multiple (twenty) particle impact on erosion of Grade 5 Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V). The influence of abrasive particle impact angle and velocity on the crater sphericity and depth, and erosion rate has been investigated. The FE model has been validated for stainless steel and yields largely improved results. Further, the same FEA approach has been extended to model the multi-particle impact erosion behaviour of Titanium alloy.  相似文献

We show that germs of local real-analytic CR automorphisms of a real-analytic hypersurface M in $\mathbb{C}$2 at a point p M are uniquelydetermined by their jets of some finite order at p if and only if M is not Levi-flat near p. This seems to be the first necessary and sufficient result on finite jet determination and the first result of this kind in the infinite type case.If M is of finite type at p, we prove a stronger assertion: the local real-analytic CR automorphisms of M fixing p are analytically parametrized (and hence uniquely determined) by their 2-jets at p. This result is optimal since the automorphisms of the unit sphere are not determined by their 1-jets at a point of the sphere. The finite type condition is necessary since otherwise the needed jet order can be arbitrarily high [Kow1,2], [Z2]. Moreover, we show, by an example, that determination by 2-jets fails for finite type hypersurfaces already in $\mathbb{C)$3.We also give an application to the dynamics of germs of local biholomorphisms of $\mathbb{C)$2.  相似文献

For any real-analytic hypersurface , which does not contain any complex-analytic subvariety of positive dimension, we show that for every point the local real-analytic CR automorphisms of fixing can be parametrized real-analytically by their jets at . As a direct application, we derive a Lie group structure for the topological group . Furthermore, we also show that the order of the jet space in which the group embeds can be chosen to depend upper-semicontinuously on . As a first consequence, it follows that given any compact real-analytic hypersurface in , there exists an integer depending only on such that for every point germs at of CR diffeomorphisms mapping into another real-analytic hypersurface in are uniquely determined by their -jet at that point. Another consequence is the following boundary version of H. Cartan's uniqueness theorem: given any bounded domain with smooth real-analytic boundary, there exists an integer depending only on such that if is a proper holomorphic mapping extending smoothly up to near some point with the same -jet at with that of the identity mapping, then necessarily .

Our parametrization theorem also holds for the stability group of any essentially finite minimal real-analytic CR manifold of arbitrary codimension. One of the new main tools developed in the paper, which may be of independent interest, is a parametrization theorem for invertible solutions of a certain kind of singular analytic equations, which roughly speaking consists of inverting certain families of parametrized maps with singularities.

This work contains an improvement of earlier results of Boggess and Dwilewicz regarding global approximation of CR functions by entire functions in the case of hypersurface graphs. In this work, we show that if ω, an open subset of a real hypersurface in ℂ n , can be graphed over a convex subset in ℝ2n−1, then ω is CR-Runge in the sense that continuous CR functions on ω can be approximated by entire functions on ℂ n in the compact open topology of ω. Examples are presented to show that this approximation result does not hold for graphed CR submanifolds in higher codimension. R. We prove extension of CR functions from a hypersurface M of CN in presence of the so-called sector property. If M has finite type in the Bloom-Graham sense, then our result is already contained in [C. Rea, Prolongement holomorphe des fonctions CR, conditions suffisantes, C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris 297 (1983) 163-166] by Rea. We think however, that the argument of our proof carries an expressive geometric meaning and deserves interest on its own right. Also, our method applies in some case to hypersurfaces of infinite type; note that for these, the classical methods fail. CR extension is treated by many authors mainly in two frames: extension in directions of iterated of commutators of CR vector fields (cf., for instance, [A. Boggess, J. Pitts, CR extension near a point of higher type, Duke Math. J. 52 (1) (1985) 67-102; A. Boggess, J.C. Polking, Holomorphic extension of CR functions, Duke Math. J. 49 (1982) 757-784. [4]; M.S. Baouendi, L. Rothschild, Normal forms for generic manifolds and holomorphic extension of CR functions, J. Differential Geom. 25 (1987) 431-467. [1]]); extension through minimality towards unprecised directions [A.E. Tumanov, Extension of CR-functions into a wedge, Mat. Sb. 181 (7) (1990) 951-964. [6]; A.E. Tumanov, Analytic discs and the extendibility of CR functions, in: Integral Geometry, Radon Transforms and Complex Analysis, Venice, 1996, in: Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 1684, Springer, Berlin, 1998, pp. 123-141].  相似文献

We first prove a uniqueness result for certain group-invariant CR mappings to hyperquadrics. For cyclic groups these mappings lead to a collection of polynomials ƒp,q (with integer coefficients) in two variables; here p and q are positive integers. We use the uniqueness result to prove some surprising number-theoretic results about the ƒp,q, in particular, ƒp,q is congruent to xP + yP modulo (p) (for P ≥ 2) if and only if p is prime. We also determine recurrence relations for these polynomials for q ≤ 3 and determine a functional equation for a generating function. Finally, we discuss the invariant polynomials that arise for certain representations of dihedral groups to illustrate the non-Abelian case.  相似文献

Let M be a manifold of X = C n , A a small analytic disc attached to M, z o a point of A where A is tangent to M, z 1 another point of A where M extends to a germ of manifold M 1 with boundary M. We prove that CR functions on M which extend to M 1 at z 1 also extend at z o to a new manifold M 2. The directions M 1 and M 2 point to, are related by a sort of connection associated to A which is dual to the connection obtained by attaching 'partial analytic lifts' of A to the co-normal bundle to M in X.  相似文献

In Euclidean geometry, for a real submanifold M in E n+a , M is a piece of E n if and only if its second fundamental form is identically zero. In projective geometry, for a complex submanifold M in CP n+a , M is a piece of CP n if and only if its projective second fundamental form is identically zero. In CR geometry, we prove the CR analogue of this fact in this paper.  相似文献

Let M be a real analytic CR hypersurface in ℂ n+1 admitting no varieties of positive dimension. We show first that every contracting local CR automorphism of M is linearizable. As a consequence, we show that such M admitting a contracting local CR automorphism is holomorphically equivalent to a weighted homogeneous hypersurface. Finally, we apply these results to prove that a bounded domain in ℂ n+1 with a real analytic boundary admitting an automorphism contracting at a boundary point must admit a Lie subgroup of real dimension at least two in its automorphism group. In this paper we show that a C real hypersurface in Cn+1 of finite D'Angelo type admitting a weakly contracting local CR automorphism is CR equivalent to a weighted homogeneous hypersurface. As an application, we show that a bounded pseudoconvex domain in Cn+1 with C boundary of finite D'Angelo type with a hyperbolic orbit accumulation point is biholomorphically equivalent to a domain defined by a weighted homogeneous polynomial.  相似文献
