Multiplicative preprojective algebras of Dynkin quivers

For a commutative ring R and an ADE Dynkin quiver Q, we prove that the multiplicative preprojective algebra of Crawley-Boevey and Shaw, with parameter $q=1$, is isomorphic to the (additive) preprojective algebra as R-algebras if and only if the bad primes for Q – 2 in type D, 2 and 3 for $Q=E_6$, $E_7$ and 2, 3 and 5 for $Q=E_8$ – are invertible in R. We construct an explicit isomorphism over $\mathbb{Z}[1/2]$ in type D, over $\mathbb{Z}[1/2,1/3]$ for $Q=E_6$, $E_7$ and over $\mathbb{Z}[1/2,1/3,1/5]$ for $Q=E_8$. Conversely, if some bad prime is not invertible in R, we show that the additive and multiplicative preprojective algebras differ in zeroth Hochschild homology, and hence are not isomorphic. In fact, one only needs the vanishing of certain classes in zeroth Hochschild homology of the multiplicative preprojective algebra, utilizing a rigidification argument for isomorphisms that may be of independent interest.In the setting of Ginzburg dg-algebras, our obstructions are new in type E and give a more elementary proof of the negative result of Etgü–Lekili [5, Theorem 13] in type D. Moreover, the zeroth Hochschild homology of the multiplicative preprojective algebra, computed in Section 4, can be interpreted as the space of unobstructed deformations of the multiplicative Ginzburg dg-algebra by Van den Bergh duality. Finally, we observe that the multiplicative preprojective algebra is not symmetric Frobenius if $Q\ne A_1$, a departure from the additive preprojective algebra in characteristic 2 for $Q=D_{2n}$, $n\ge 2$ and $Q=E_7$, $E_8$.     

Quasitilted algebras admit a preprojective component

Quasitilted algebras are generalizations of tilted algebras. As a main result we show here that the Auslander-Reiten quiver of such an algebra has a preprojective component

     

Representations of deformed preprojective algebras and quantum groups

Let (Γ,I) be the bound quiver of a cyclic quiver whose vertices correspond to the Abelian group Zd. In this paper, we list all indecomposable representations of (Γ,I) and give the conditions that those representations of them can be extended to representations of deformed preprojective algebra Πλ(Γ,I). It is shown that those representations given by extending indecomposable representations of (Γ,I) are all simple representations of Πλ(Γ,I). Therefore, it is concluded that all simple representa-tions of rest...     

Stably Calabi-Yau algebras and skew group algebras

Let G be a finite group and A be a finite-dimensional selfinjective algebra over an algebraically closed field. Suppose A is a left G-module algebra. Some suficient conditions for the skew group algebra AG to be stably Calabi-Yau are provided, and some new examples of stably Calabi-Yau algebras are given as well.     

On ideal extensions of partial monounary algebras

In the present paper we introduce the notion of an ideal of a partial monounary algebra. Further, for an ideal (I, f _I ) of a partial monounary algebra (A, f _A ) we define the quotient partial monounary algebra (A, f _A )/(I, f _I ). Let (X, f _X ), (Y, f _Y ) be partial monounary algebras. We describe all partial monounary algebras (P, f _P ) such that (X, f _X ) is an ideal of (P, f _P ) and (P, f _P )/(X, f _X ) is isomorphic to (Y, f _Y ). Double Hall algebras and derived equivalences

We show that the reduced Drinfeld double of the Ringel-Hall algebra of a hereditary category is invariant under derived equivalences. By associating an explicit isomorphism to a given derived equivalence, we also extend the results of Burban and Schiffmann [5] and [006], Sevenhant and Van den Bergh (1999) [25], and Xiao and Yang (2001) [31].     

On ad-nilpotent b-ideals for orthogonal Lie algebras

Krattenthaler, Orsina and Papi provided explicit formulas for the number of ad-nilpotent ideals with fixed class of nilpotence of a Borel subalgebra of a classical Lie algebra. Especially for types A and C they obtained refined results about these ideals with not only fixed class of nilpotence but also fixed dimension. In this paper, we shall follow their algorithm to determine the enumeration of ad-nilpotent b-ideals with fixed class of nilpotence and dimension for orthogonal Lie algebras, i.e., types B and D.     

On the Cachazo-Douglas-Seiberg-Witten conjecture for simple Lie algebras

We prove a part of the Cachazo-Douglas-Seiberg-Witten conjecture uniformly for any simple Lie algebra . The main ingredients in the proof are: Garland's result on the Lie algebra cohomology of ; Kostant's result on the `diagonal' cohomolgy of and its connection with abelian ideals in a Borel subalgebra of ; and a certain deformation of the singular cohomology of the infinite Grassmannian introduced by Belkale-Kumar.

     

Associating quantum vertex algebras to deformed Heisenberg Lie algebras

We associate quantum vertex algebras and their ϕ-coordinated quasi modules to certain deformed Heisenberg algebras.     

Stable categories of higher preprojective algebras

We introduce (n+1)$(n+1)$-preprojective algebras of algebras of global dimension n$n$. We show that if an algebra is n$n$-representation-finite then its (n+1)$(n+1)$-preprojective algebra is self-injective. In this situation, we show that the stable module category of the (n+1)$(n+1)$-preprojective algebra is (n+1)$(n+1)$-Calabi–Yau, and, more precisely, it is the (n+1)$(n+1)$-Amiot cluster category of the stable n$n$-Auslander algebra of the original algebra. In particular this stable category contains an (n+1)$(n+1)$-cluster tilting object. We show that even if the (n+1)$(n+1)$-preprojective algebra is not self-injective, under certain assumptions (which are always satisfied for n∈{1,2}$n\in \{1,2\}$) the results above still hold for the stable category of Cohen–Macaulay modules.     

Schur functors on QF-3 standardly stratified algebras

Let A be a QF-3 standardly stratified algebra and f be a Schur functor corresponding to some projective-injective faithful A-module, denoted by Ae. The main result of this paper is to prove that, if the dominant dimension of A is sufficiently large, then ] induces a full embedding from ￡（△） to eAe-mod which preserves Ext-groups up to certain degrees, where ￡（△） denotes the full subcategory of A-mod whose objects are filtered by standard A-modules. We check this criterion on some typical examples, quantized Schur algebras Sq（n,r） with n≥r and finite-dimensional algebras associated with the Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand category O of semisimple complex Lie algebras.     

Regularity of Segal algebras

Let A be a Banach algebra. The second dual A** can be equipped with two multiplications, each of which is a natural extension of the original multiplication in A. The algebra A is said to be Arens regular if these two multiplications coincide. We give necessary (and, for some classes of algebras, sufficient) conditions for the regularity of a Segal algebra. We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the weak complete continuity of a Segal algebra.     

Subalgebra extensions of partial monounary algebras

For a subalgebra B of a partial monounary algebra A we define the quotient partial monounary algebra A/B. Let B, B, C be partial monounary algebras. In this paper we give a construction of all partial monounary algebras A such that B is a subalgebra of A and C ≅ A/B.
