In this paper, we introduce weak versions (the weak approximation property, the bounded weak approximation property, and the quasi approximation property) of the approximation property and derive various characterizations of these properties. And we show that if the dual of a Banach space X has the weak approximation property (respectively the bounded weak approximation property), then X itself has the weak approximation property (respectively the bounded weak approximation property). Also we observe that the bounded weak approximation property is closely related to the quasi approximation property.  相似文献

We point out that in metric spaces Haver's property is not equivalent to the property introduced by Addis and Gresham. We prove that they are equal when the space has the Hurewicz property. We prove several results about the preservation of Haver's property in products. We show that if a separable metric space has the Haver property, and the nth power has the Hurewicz property, then the nth power has the Addis-Gresham property. R. Pol showed earlier that this is not the case when the Hurewicz property is replaced by the weaker Menger property. We introduce new classes of weakly infinite dimensional spaces.  相似文献

We introduce and investigate the strong approximation property of Banach spaces which is strictly stronger than the approximation property and at least formally weaker than the weak bounded approximation property. Among others, we show that the weak bounded approximation property is equivalent to a quantitative strengthening of the strong approximation property. Some recent results on the approximation property of Banach spaces and their dual spaces are improved.  相似文献

We show that the variety of ortholattices has the strong amalgamation property and that the variety of orthomodular lattices has the strong Boolean amalgamation property, i.e. that two orthomodular lattices can be strongly amalgamated over a common Boolean subalgebra. We give examples to show that the variety orthomodular lattices does not have the amalgamation property and that the variety of modular ortholattices does not even have the Boolean amalgamation property. We further show that no non-Boolean variety of orthomodular lattices which is generated by orthomodular lattices of bounded height can have the Boolean amalgamation property.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the congruence extension property and the ideal extension property for compact semigroups. We investigate geometric exchange properties in lattices of finite length that generalize the Steinitz exchange property of finite-dimensional vector spaces. In particular, we show that a stronger version of MacLane's exchange property for semimodular lattices is equivalent to the join-symmetric exchange property of Gaskill and Rival for modular lattices and, furthermore, that this exchange property characterizes strong semimodular lattices. An analogue of the basis exchange property for matroids is considered and seen to distinguish strong lattices in the class of semimodular lattices.Presented by I. Rival.  相似文献

The τ-value is characterized by three axioms. It is shown that the τ-value is the unique solution concept which is efficient and has the minimal right property and the restricted proportionality property. The minimal right property is weaker than the additivity property, which plays a role in the axiomatic characterization of the Shapley value: together with individual rationality and efficiency additivity implies the minimal right property. The restricted proportionality property says that for games with minimal right vector zero, the dividend given to the players is proportional to the marginal contribution of the players to the grand coalition.  相似文献

We define the isoperimetric constant for any locally finite metric space and we study the property of having isoperimetric constant equal to zero. This property, called Small Neighborhood property, clearly extends amenability to any locally finite space. Therefore, we start making a comparison between this property and other notions of amenability for locally finite metric spaces that have been proposed by Gromov, Lafontaine and Pansu, by Ceccherini-Silberstein, Grigorchuk and de la Harpe and by Block and Weinberger. We discuss possible applications of the property SN in the study of embedding a metric space into another one. In particular, we propose three results: we prove that a certain class of metric graphs that are isometrically embeddable into Hilbert spaces must have the property SN. We also show, by a simple example, that this result is not true replacing property SN with amenability. As a second result, we prove that many spaces with uniform bounded geometry having a bi-lipschitz embedding into Euclidean spaces must have the property SN. Finally, we prove a Bourgain-like theorem for metric trees: a metric tree with uniform bounded geometry and without property SN does not have bi-lipschitz embeddings into finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

知识产权产品是一个全新的概念,SNA2008将用于国民经济核算的"无形固定资产"重新定义为"知识产权产品",这种修改凸显了知识产权产品在评价国民经济发展中的重要作用。本文收集了1995-2013年多个与我国知识产权产品与经济发展水平相关的数据,使用突变级数法建立知识产权产品和经济发展水平两个指标体系,以此计算两者的综合评价得分,然后运用ARDL模型对两者进行协整检验。检验结果表明,知识产权产品和经济发展水平之间在长期内存在显著的相互影响。  相似文献

It is well-known that the Kadec-Klee property is an important property in the geometry of Banach spaces. It is closely connected with the approximation compactness and fixed point property of non-expansive mappings. In this paper, a criterion for Musielak-Orlicz function spaces equipped with the Orlicz norm to have the Kadec-Klee property are given. As a corollary, we obtain that a class of non-reflexive Musielak-Orlicz function spaces have the Fixed Point property.

In this article we compare the well-known Ramsey property with a dual form of it, the so called dual-Ramsey property (which was suggested first by Carlson and Simpson). Even if the two properties are different, it can be shown that all classical results known for the Ramsey property also hold for the dual-Ramsey property. We will also show that the dual-Ramsey property is closed under a generalized Suslin operation (the similar result for the Ramsey property was proved by Matet). Further we compare two notions of forcing, the Mathias forcing and a dual form of it, and will give some symmetries between them. It has been proved (by S. M. Dudakov and M. A. Taitslin) that the reducibility of some models of a theory implies the second pseudofinite homogeneity property for this theory. We prove the converse, namely, that any theory with the first or the second pseudofinite homogeneity property has a reducible model and, therefore, possesses the second isolation property. This also proves the equivalence of the second isolation property and the second pseudofinite homogeneity property, in contrast to the first pseudofinite homogeneity property, which is more general than the first isolation property (this was established by O. A property of ergodic finite-alphabet processes, called the blowing-up property, is shown to imply exponential rates of convergence for frequencies and entropy, which in turn imply a positive-divergence property. Furthermore, processes with the blowing-up property-divergence property. Furthermore, processes with the blowing-up property are finitely determined and the finitely determined property plus exponential rates of convergence for frequencies and for entropy implies blowing-up. Myhill-Shepherdson property in recursive function theory states that extensional effective program transformations determine continuous operations on partial functions. Case showed that this property fails to characterize acceptability of numberings of partial recursive functions. In this note we present a higher type analogue to Myhill-Shepherdson property. Our purpose is to show that higher type Myhill-Shepherdson property characterizes weak acceptability under a natural condition.  相似文献

We introduce and investigate the weak metric approximation property of Banach spaces which is strictly stronger than the approximation property and at least formally weaker than the metric approximation property. Among others, we show that if a Banach space has the approximation property and is 1-complemented in its bidual, then it has the weak metric approximation property. We also study the lifting of the weak metric approximation property from Banach spaces to their dual spaces. This enables us, in particular, to show that the subspace of c0, constructed by Johnson and Schechtman, does not have the weak metric approximation property. It is shown that for the separable dual X of a Banach space X if X has the weak approximation property, then X has the metric quasi approximation property. Using this it is shown that for the separable dual X of a Banach space X the quasi approximation property and metric quasi approximation property are inherited from X to X and for a separable and reflexive Banach space X, X having the weak approximation property, bounded weak approximation property, quasi approximation property, metric weak approximation property, and metric quasi approximation property are equivalent.
