首先给出代数闭域上三维半群代数的幂等元集和Jacobson根,并且刻画了三维半群代数的同构类.通过计算箭图,研究了三维代数的表示型.进一步,证明一个三维(或者二维)半群代数是胞腔的,当且仅当它是交换的.作为推论,得到一个左零带所对应的半群代数是胞腔的,当且仅当这个左零带是一个半格.  相似文献

We study the Hopf structure of a class of dual operator algebras corresponding to certain semigroups. This class of algebras arises in dilation theory, and includes the noncommutative analytic Toeplitz algebra and the multiplier algebra of the Drury–Arveson space, which correspond to the free semigroup and the free commutative semigroup respectively. The preduals of the algebras in this class naturally form Hopf (convolution) algebras. The original algebras and their preduals form (non-self-adjoint) dual Hopf algebras in the sense of Effros and Ruan. We study these algebras from this perspective, and obtain a number of results about their structure.  相似文献

We study the weak module amenability of Banach algebras which are Banach module over another Banach algebra with compatible actions. As an example we show that the semigroup algebra of a commutative inverse semigroup is always weakly amenable as a module over the semigroup algebra of its subsemigroup of idempotents.  相似文献

In this paper, we first characterize pseudo-amenability of semigroup algebras \(\ell ^1(S),\) for a certain class of commutative semigroups S,  the so-called archimedean semigroups. We show that for an archimedean semigroup S,  pseudo-amenability, amenability and approximate amenability of \(\ell ^1(S)\) are equivalent. Then for a commutative semigroup S,  we show that pseudo-amenability of \(\ell ^{1}(S)\) implies that S is a Clifford semigroup. Finally, we give some results on pseudo-amenability and approximate amenability of the second dual of a certain class of commutative semigroup algebras \(\ell ^1(S)\).  相似文献

For any finite commutative idempotent semigroup S, a semilattice, we show how to compute the amenability constant of its semigroup algebra 1(S). This amenability constant is always of the form 4n+1. We then show that these give lower bounds to amenability constants of certain Banach algebras graded over semilattices. We also give example of a commutative Clifford semigroups G n whose semigroup algebras 1(G n ) admit amenability constants of the form 41+4(n−1)/n. A concrete category is almost universal if its class of non-constant morphisms contains an isomorphic copy of every category of algebras as a full subcategory. This paper characterizes almost universal varieties of commutative semigroups. As a consequence we obtain that for every infinite cardinal κ there exists a commutative semigroup of cardinality κ such that it has exactly two endomorphisms, the identity endomorphism and a single constant endomorphism.  相似文献

We prove a theorem unifying three results from combinatorial homological and commutative algebra, characterizing the Koszul property for incidence algebras of posets and affine semigroup rings, and characterizing linear resolutions of squarefree monomial ideals. The characterization in the graded setting is via the Cohen-Macaulay property of certain posets or simplicial complexes, and in the more general nongraded setting, via the sequential Cohen-Macaulay property.  相似文献

We consider two types of conditions on an operator on a Banach space which ensure that it is the generator of a semigroup of contractions. First, S. Sakai's concept of commutative normal 1-derivations of UHF algebras is generalized to “approximately commutative operators” on Banach spaces. Next we consider the situation in which the domain of the operator contains an increasing sequence of “approximately invariant subspaces,” and generalize results of A. Kishimoto and P. E. T. Jørgensen. A corollary is the existence of time development for two-dimensional quantum lattice models when the average surface energy per unit surface is uniformly bounded in the volume.  相似文献

An algebra A has finite degree if its term functions are determined by some finite set of finitary relations on A. We study this concept for finite algebras in general and for finite semigroups in particular. For example, we show that every finite nilpotent semigroup has finite degree (more generally, every finite algebra with bounded p n -sequence), and every finite commutative semigroup has finite degree. We give an example of a five-element unary semigroup that has infinite degree. We also give examples to show that finite degree is not preserved in general under taking subalgebras, homomorphic images, direct products or subdirect factors.  相似文献

In this paper, the cellularity of twisted semigroup algebras over an integral domain is investigated by introducing the concept of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Partition algebras, Brauer algebras and Temperley-Lieb algebras all are examples of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Our main result shows that the twisted semigroup algebra of a regular semigroup is cellular of type JH with respect to an involution on the twisted semigroup algebra if and only if the twisted group algebras of certain maximal subgroups are cellular algebras. Here we do not assume that the involution of the twisted semigroup algebra induces an involution of the semigroup itself. Moreover, for a twisted semigroup algebra, we do not require that the twisting decomposes essentially into a constant part and an invertible part, or takes values in the group of units in the ground ring. Note that trivially twisted semigroup algebras are the usual semigroup algebras. So, our results extend not only a recent result of East, but also some results of Wilcox.  相似文献

We give a classification of “small” monotone complete C *-algebras by order properties. We construct a corresponding semigroup. This classification filters out von Neumann algebras; they are mapped to the zero of the classifying semigroup. We show that there are 2 c distinct equivalence classes (where c is the cardinality of the continuum). This remains true when the classification is restricted to special classes of monotone complete C *-algebras e.g. factors, injective factors, injective operator systems and commutative algebras which are subalgebras of ℓ. We determine commutative post-Lie algebra structures on some infinite-dimensional Lie algebras. We show that all commutative post-Lie algebra structures on loop algebras are trivial. This extends the results for finite-dimensional perfect Lie algebras. Furthermore, we show that all commutative post-Lie algebra structures on affine Kac–Moody Lie algebras are “almost trivial”.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to research the relation among generalized path algebras, pseudo-admissible ordered semigroup algebras and path algebras over algebras. First, the Gabriel theorem for contract pseudo-admissible ordered semigroup algebras is given. Second, a family of pseudo-admissible ordered semigroups is mixed together via the method of generalized path algebras to construct a new pseudo-admissible ordered semigroup as the extended version. Finally, we characterize the path algebra over an algebra in two ways through normal and non-normal generalized path algebras, respectively, over a field.  相似文献
