By means of π++ channelling, positive pions (π+) implanted intoTa, Mo, andW are investigated up to high temperatures. A striking observation is that the channelling effect disappears in a rather narrow temperature interval centred at 0.26 (Ta) to 0.51 (W) of the melting temperature. From studies of π+ trapping by oxygen atoms inTa estimates for the low-temperature π+ diffusivity inTa [D π(23K)=1.4·10−10±0.3 m2s−1,D π(47K)=5.7·10−10±0.3 m2s−1] as well as for the binding enthalpy of π+ to 0 atoms (H B=7·10−2 eV) have been obtained. The diffusion data are in reasonable agreement with the theory of phonon-assisted tunnelling.  相似文献

The residual polarization of negative muons in n-type silicon with impurity density (1.6±0.2) · 1013 cm−3 is investigated as a function of temperature in the range 10–300 K. The measurements are performed in an external magnetic field of 0.08 T oriented transversely to the spin of the muons. Relaxation of the muon spin and a shift of the precession frequency are observed at temperatures below 30 K. The relaxation rate at 30 K equals 0.25±0.08 μs−1. The shift of the precession frequency at 20 K equals 7 · 10−3. Both the relaxation rate and the shift of the precession frequency increase as the temperature decreases. This report is a continuation of an analysis, initiated elsewhere V.V. Vecheslavov and B. V. Chirikov, Zh. éksp. Teor. Fiz. 114, 1516 (1998) [JETP 86, 823 (1998)], of the effect of splitting of the separatrix of a nonlinear resonance for the model of standard mapping, based on results of direct measurements of the splitting angle α(K), where K is the system parameter. Measurements were made in the previously used wide range 0.1≳α≳10−208 (1⩾K⩾0.0004), but with significantly higher relative (better than 1050) and average (∼10−55) accuracy. This procedure made it possible to substantially refine the effects observed in Ref. 1 and construct qualitatively new empirical dependences providing reliable extrapolation of the data obtained for the angle and the invariant in the intermediate asymptotic limit K≲10−2 beyond the limits of the investigated region. The results obtained by us can be useful for further development of the theory of separatrix splitting and formation of the stochastic layer of a nonlinear resonance. Zh. éksp. Teor. The complicated form of the cosmic-ray spectrum recorded in the energy range 1017–1020 eV by giant detector arrays is analyzed. It is shown that the spectrum in the region 1018–1019 eV is apparently identical to the injection spectrum with power-law exponent approximately equal to 3.2–3.3. The flat component in the region (3.2–5)×1019 eV is due to the braking of extragalactic protons by relict photons. The spectrum apparently has no blackbody cutoff at energies above 3.2×1019 eV. A proprietary way of introducing a working substance to be separated into a reflective-discharge magnetoplasma separator is experimentally verified. The efficiency of working substance delivery using this sputtering mechanism providing a plasma density on the order of 1014 cm−3 is demonstrated. The sputtering yield of the substance being separated achieves (2.6–2.8) × 10−2 atoms/ion depending on the amount of particles in the discharge. Simultaneously, the minimal separation coefficient for light and heavy particles in a rotating plasma subjected to E × H crossed fields is estimated.  相似文献

The results of an experiment measuring the difference Δλ=λa−λ m of the beta-decay constants of atomic and molecular tritium are reported. The difference Δλ is determined by comparing the rates of growth of the relative content of radiogenic helium-3 in samples containing atomic and molecular tritium. The pulsed conductivity is investigated for a CsI-Tl crystal having a Tl+ concentration N=8×1017cm−3 and excited by an electron beam (0.2 MeV, 50 ps, 102–104 A/cm 2). It is shown that the amplitude of the conduction current pulse is almost an order of magnitude lower than for “pure” CsI crystals irradiated under like conditions. The conduction current relaxation time is preserved up to τ=100 ps in this case. Under the experimental conditions, therefore, the lifetime of electrons in the conduction band is controlled by trapping at Tl+ centers. The electron capture cross section at a Tl+ center is determined: σ=7×10−16 cm2, which agrees in order of magnitude with estimates of the capture cross section for a neutral trapping center. Fiz. The α decay of the anomalously low-lying isomeric level 3/2+ (3.5±1.0 eV) of the 229Th nucleus is studied. The lifetime of the isomer with respect to a decay is predicted and the spectrum of the emitted a particles is calculated. The rate constant for spin exchange in a system consisting of a metastable helium atom and an alkali-metal atom is determined. An experiment on optical orientation of atoms established that the rate constant for spin exchange in a collision of a metastable 23 S 1 helium atom with a cesium atom in the 62 S 1/2 ground state equals (2.8±0.8)×10−9 cm3 s−1. The rate constant for chemoionization of cesium atoms by metastable helium atoms was determined at the same time to be (1.0±0.3)×109 cm3s−1. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. The photophysics and cyclic voltammetry of two novel phosphorescent thiones, 2,2-dimethyl-indan-1-one-3-thione (DMIKT) and 2,2-dimethyl-indan-1,3-dithione (DMIDT), and three known phosphorescent thiones, 4H-pyran-4-thione (PT), 4H-1-benzopyran-4-thione (BPT) and 2,2-dimethylindan-1-thione (DMIT), have been characterised and compared. The phosphorescence emission of DMIT, DMIKT and DMIDT extends from the red into the near-IR spectral region. The additional carbonyl or thione group of DMIKT and DMIDT causes a significant shift in the emission maxima to 680 nm compared to that of DMIT, at 637 nm, in perfluorinated hydrocarbons. In acetonitrile the emission maxima of DMIKT and DMIDT are at 696 and 706 nm, respectively, and the spectra show vibronic bands which extend out beyond 850 nm. There is a significant reduction in triplet lifetime along this series (from 44 (±2) μs (DMIT) to 10 ((±0.8) μs (DMIKT) in perfluorinated solvents, and 8.6 (±0.5) (DMIT), 1.3 (±0.5) (DMIKT) and 0.35 (±0.07) μs (DMIDT) in acetonitrile), as well as a reduction in the rate constant for ground-state quenching of the triplet, (from 9.8 ((±0.9) to 3.5 ((±0.6) and 1.3 ((±0.2) × 109 mol−1 dm3 s−1 for the same compounds). The addition of the C=O or C=S groups also causes a decrease in phosphorescence quantum yield with the highest emission quantum yield obtained for DMIT (Φ P = 0.149 (±0.015)). Electrochemical studies show that while PT and BPT exhibit irreversible redox behaviour, DMIT, DMIKT and DMIDT all show at least one reversible reduction wave attributed to a one-electron process centred on the C=S moiety. The suitability of these lumophores for use in OLEDs is discussed.  相似文献

The results of the first experiments devised to investigate the mixing of thin layers of Al and Au during the laser acceleration of flat three-layer targets of Si (5 μm), Al (2 μm), and Au (0.05–0.26 μm) by radiation converted to the second harmonic from the Iskra-4 iodine laser with an intensity of 4×1013−7×1013 W/cm2 (τ 0.5∼1 ns), which acts on the Si side of the target. A method for detecting the occurrence of mixing is developed. It is established that under the experimental conditions the thickness of the mixing region is at least ∼0.15 μm. The spin-spin relaxation rate 63 T 2 −1 of 63Cu nuclei in CuO2 layers is measured in the normal and superconducting states of the compound YBa2Cu3O6.9 (T c onset =94 K) subjected to radiation-induced disordering by a fast-neutron flux Φ to T c onset =68 K (Φ=7×1018 cm−2) and T c onset <4 K (Φ=12×1018 cm−2). It is found that as the structural disorder increases, the contribution of the indirect spin-spin interaction 63 T 2G −1 , which is related to the value of the spin susceptibility at the boundary of the Brillouin zone of the copper planes χs(q={π/a; π/a}), decreases slightly at the transition to the superconducting state for the initial sample and remains unchanged for the weakly disordered sample. This behavior of the short-wavelength contribution to the spin susceptibility attests to the stability of the x 2y 2 symmetry of the energy gap against structural disorder, in accordance with proposed theoretical models of Cooper pairing for high-T c cuprates. Using spectroscopy of the molecular Stark effect and fluorescence spectroscopy, we study the characteristics of diflavonol 3,7-dihydroxy-2,8-di(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-4H,6H-pyrano[3,2-g]chromene-4,6-dione (DFME), which demonstrates intramolecular charge and proton phototransfer. In the ground state, this dye has only one form and, in the excited state, it has two forms, i.e., normal and phototautomeric. We found that, for the normal form of DFME, the transition dipole moment that is responsible for the absorption (m a ), the dipole moment in the equilibrium ground state (μ g ), and the change of the dipole moment upon transition of the molecule in the excited Franck-Condon state (Δ a μ) are parallel. In the ground equilibrium state, the dipole moments in 1,4-dioxane and cyclohexane are equal to μg = 12.2 × 10−30 C m and μ g = 11.0 × 10−30 C m, respectively. Upon excitation, they increase by Δ a μ = 61 × 10−30 C m and Δ a μ = 50.2 × 10−30 C m in these solvents. We study the spectral characteristics of DFME in organic solvents and erythrocyte membranes. A spectral inhomogeneity of DFME in erythrocyte ghosts is found. The inhomogeneous broadening of fluorescence spectra is manifested as a long-wavelength shift of the band of the normal form of DFME by 1640 cm−1 upon excitation at the red edge of the absorption spectrum.  相似文献

Four novel copper(II) complexes of the composition [CuLX] where L = 2,6-bis(benzimidazole-2yl)pyridine, X = dipyridophenazine (L1), 1,10-phenanthroline (L2), hydroxyproline (L3) and 2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid (L4) were synthesized and characterized by using elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV–vis, ESI-MS, molar conductance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes [CuLL1](NO3)2 [1], [CuLL2](NO3)2 [2], [CuLL3](NO3) [3] and [CuLL4] (NO3) [4] are stable at room temperature. In DMSO the complexes [1] and [2] are 1:2 electrolytes, [3] and [4] are 1:1 electrolytes. Based on elemental and spectral studies five coordinated geometry is assigned to all the four complexes. The interaction of four copper ion complexes with calf thymus DNA were carried out by UV–vis titrations, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermal melting and viscosity measurements .The binding constant (Kb) of the above four metal complexes were determined as 5.43 × 104 M,−1 2.56 × 104 M−1, 1.21 × 104 M−1 and 1.57 × 104 M−1 respectively. Quenching studies of the four complexes indicates that these complexes strongly bind to DNA, out of all complex 1 is binding more strongly. Viscosity measurements indicate the binding mode of complexes with CT DNA by intercalation through groove. Thermal melting studies also support intercalative binding. The nuclease activity of the above metal complexes shows that 1, 2 and 3 complexes cleave DNA through redox chemistry.  相似文献

The formation of macroscopic ordered structures in the standing striations of a stationary glow discharge in Ne is observed. A Coulomb quasicrystal is formed by spherical glass particles with diameters of 50–63 μm and charge Z p~7·105 e. The interparticle distance is approximately 300 μm. This corresponds to a nonideality parameter Γ~5·104, which leads to crystallization in the Yukawa model. The factors leading to the formation of a quasicrystal in the striations are discussed. The results of experimental investigations and an analysis of the temperature dependences of the thermally stimulated depolarization current are presented for zinc-oxide ceramics suitable for use in high-voltage varistors. A model for the depolarization phenomena is proposed that takes into account charge exchange on localized electronic states on both sides of the intercrystallite potential barrier. The model is used to obtain estimates of the ionization energy and density of shallow (∼0.07 eV, 1×1017 cm−3) and deeper (∼0.2 eV, 1×1018 cm−3) bulk levels and surface-localized levels (∼0.1 eV, 1×1013 cm−2). Silicon crystals after implantation of erbium ions with energies in the range 0.8–2.0 MeV and doses in the range 1×1012–1×1014 cm−2 have been studied by two-and three-crystal x-ray diffraction. Three types of two-crystal reflection curves are observed. They correspond to different structural states of the implanted layers. At moderate doses (1×1012–1×1013 cm−2) a positive strain is observed, due to the formation of secondary radiation defects of interstitial type. An increase of the implantation dose is accompanied by the formation of an amorphous layer separating the bulk layer and a thin monocrystalline surface layer. At an implantation dose of 1×1014 cm−2 the monocrystalline surface layer is completely amorphized. Parameters of the implantation layers are determined. We examine the properties of an atomic system consisting of a muon and antimuon. Expressions are derived for the probability of decay and the hyperfine splitting of the lower levels with allowance for the leading radiative corrections, which are of relative order α. The results for the lifetimes and the ground-state energy are τ(13 S 1)=1.7907(8)×10−12 s, τ(11 S 0)=0.59547(33)×10−12 s, and E hfs (1s)=4.23284(35)×107 MHz. The relative probabilities for the various decay channels are calculated; in particular, for the 1 3 S 1 level it is found that Γ (μμeeγ)/Γ(μμee)≈15%. Finally, possible applications are discussed.
