The two-channel thermal decomposition of toluene, C6H5CH3 → C6H5CH2 + H (1) and C6H5CH3 → C6H5 + CH3 (2), was investigated in shock tube experiments over the temperature range of 1400-1780 K at a pressure of 1.5 (±0.1) bar. Rate coefficients for reactions (1) and (2) were determined by monitoring benzyl radical (C6H5CH2) absorption at 266 nm during the decomposition of toluene diluted in argon and modeling the temporal behavior of the benzyl concentration with a kinetic model. The first-order rate coefficients determined at a pressure of 1.5 bar are expressed by k1(T) = 2.09 × 1015 exp (−87510 [cal/mol]/RT) [s−1] and k2(T) = 2.66 × 1016 exp (−97880 [cal/mol]/RT) [s−1]. The resulting branching ratio, k1/(k1 + k2), ranges from 0.8 at 1350 K to 0.6 at 1800 K.  相似文献

The kinetics for the reactions of C6H5 with phenylacetylene and styrene have been measured by CRDS in the temperature range 297-409 K under an Ar pressure of 3.6 Torr. The total rate constants can be given by the following Arrhenius expressions (in units of cm3 mol−1 s−1): k1(C6H5 + C6H5C2H) = 1013.0±0.1exp [−(2430 ± 150)/RT] and k2(C6H5 + C6H5C2H3) = 1013.3±0.1 exp [−(2570 ± 180)/T]. Additional DFT and MP2 calculations have been carried out to assist our interpretation of the measured kinetic data. The addition of C6H5 to the terminal CHx (x = 1 or 2) sites is predicted to be the dominant channel for both reactions. The calculated bimolecular rate constants are in reasonable agreement with experimental values for the temperature range studied.  相似文献

Kinetics and mechanisms for reactions of OH with methanol and ethanol have been investigated at the CCSD(T)/6-311 + G(3df2p)//MP2/6-311 + G(3df2p) level of theory. The total and individual rate constants, and product branching ratios for the reactions have been computed in the temperature range 200-3000 K with variational transition state theory by including the effects of multiple reflections above the wells of their pre-reaction complexes, quantum-mechanical tunneling and hindered internal rotations. The predicted results can be represented by the expressions k1 = 4.65 × 10−20 × T2.68 exp(414/T) and k2 = 9.11 × 10−20 × T2.58 exp(748/T) cm3 molecule−1 s−1 for the CH3OH and C2H5OH reactions, respectively. These results are in reasonable agreements with available experimental data except that of OH + C2H5OH in the high temperature range. The former reaction produces 96-89% of the H2O + CH2OH products, whereas the latter process produces 98-70% of H2O + CH3CHOH and 2-21% of the H2O + CH2CH2OH products in the temperature range computed (200-3000 K).  相似文献

The two-channel thermal decomposition of formaldehyde [CH2O], (1a) CH2O + Ar → HCO + H + Ar, and (1b) CH2O + Ar → H2 + CO + Ar, was studied in shock tube experiments in the 2258-2687 K temperature range, at an average total pressure of 1.6 atm. OH radicals, generated on shock heating trioxane-O2-Ar mixtures, were monitored behind the reflected shock front using narrow-linewidth laser absorption. 1,3,5 trioxane [C3H6O3] was used as the CH2O precursor in the current experiments. H-atoms formed upon CH2O and HCO decomposition rapidly react with O2 to produce OH via H + O2 → O + OH. The recorded OH time-histories show dominant sensitivity to the formaldehyde decomposition pathways. The second-order reaction rate coefficients were inferred by matching measured and modeled OH profiles behind the reflected shock. Two-parameter fits for k1a and k1b, applicable in this temperature range, are:

This work reports measurements of the absolute rate coefficients and Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Markus (RRKM) master equation (ME) simulations of the C2H3 + C3H6 reaction. Direct kinetic studies were performed over a temperature range of 300-700 K and pressures of 15, 25, and 100 Torr. Vinyl radicals were generated by laser photolysis of vinyl iodide at 266 nm, and time-resolved absorption spectroscopy was used to probe vinyl radicals through absorption at 423.2 nm. A weighted modified Arrhenius fit to the experimental rate constant is k1 = (1.3 ± 0.2) × 10−12 cm3 molecule−1 s−1(T/1000)1.6 exp[−(1510 ± 80/T)]. Fifteen stationary points and 48 transition states on the C5H9 potential energy surface (PES) were calculated using the G3 method in Gaussian 03. RRKM/ME simulations were performed using VariFlex on a simplified PES to predict pressure dependent rate coefficients and branching fractions for the major channels. For temperatures between 350 and 700 K, the calculated rate coefficient agrees with the experimental rate coefficient within 20%. At low temperatures, the primary products are the initial adducts 4-penten-2-yl and 2-methyl-3-buten-1-yl. At higher temperatures, the dominant products are 1,3-butadiene + methyl, allyl + ethene, and 1,3-pentadiene + H. Although C2H3 + C3H6 → allyl + ethene is thermodynamically favored, the simulations predict that it does not become the dominant product until 1700 K.  相似文献

The pressure broadening and shift rates of the rubidium D2 absorption line 52S1/2→52P3/2 (780.24 nm) with CH4, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10, and He were measured for pressures ≤80 Torr using high-resolution laser spectroscopy. The broadening rates γB for CH4, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10, and He are 28.0, 28.1, 30.5, 31.3, and 20.3 (MHz/Torr), respectively. The corresponding shift rates γS are −8.4, −8.8, −9.7, −10.0, and 0.39 (MHz/Torr), respectively. The measured rates of Rb for the hydrocarbon buffer gas series of this study are also compared to the theoretically calculated rates of a purely attractive van der Waals difference potential. Good agreement is found to exist between measured and theoretical rates.  相似文献

The high-temperature photochemistry (HTP) technique, previously used for reactions of neutral species, has been adapted to the study of atomic metal ion-molecule reactions. Ca+ ions were generated by 193 nm multi-photon photolysis of calcium acetyl acetonate and its pyrolysis fragments. The relative ion concentrations were monitored by laser-induced fluorescence at 393.4 nm. Ar was used as the bath gas. The data for the Ca+ + O2 + M → CaO2+ + M association reaction (1) are fitted by k1(907-1425 K) = 3.5 × 10−32 exp(+3161 K/T) cm6 molecule−2 s−1. Combining with an approximate k1(296 K) value in the literature leads to k1(296-1425 K) = 5.8 × 10−22 (T/K)−2.9 exp(−601 K/T) cm6 molecule−2 s−1. Over much of the observed temperature range reaction (1) has much smaller rate coefficients than the corresponding neutral Ca association reaction. Reaction (1) is shown to behave very similarly to the O2 association reaction with neutral K atoms, with which Ca+ is iso-electronic. This suggests that the initial step is ion-pair complex formation of the superoxide Ca2+(O2), which is also consistent with results from density functional calculations. The k1 values are rationalized via Troe’s unimolecular formalism, which leads to good accord with the experiments.  相似文献

The reduction process of Bi3+, HTeO2+ and their mixtures on Au electrode surface was studied by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and chronoamperometry. XRD and EDS methods were also used to measure the reductive products prepared under different potentials and provide the evidences of the reactions. The results indicate that the reduction of HTeO2+ occurs at more positive potential than that of Bi3+, but its reduction rate is slower and adsorption phenomenon exists during its reduction process. Bi2Te3 compound can be obtained potentiostatically at a proper potential in all the mixed solutions with concentration ratio CHTe+O2/CBi3+ in our research range (0.1-10). But pure Bi2Te3 compound can only be obtained at 42 mV in the solution with concentration ratio CHTe+O2/CBi3+ equaling to 1. And the formation of Bi2Te3 compound is an inductive co-depositing process: (1) HTeO2+ + 4e + 3H+ → Te0 + 2H2O, (2) 3Te0 + 2Bi3+ + 6e → Bi2Te3.  相似文献

The influence of pre-dosed O2 on the catalytic reduction of NO with 13C2H5OH on the surface of stepped Pt(3 3 2) was investigated using Fourier transform infra red reflection-absorption spectroscopy (FTIR-RAS) and thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). We show that the oxidation of 13C2H5OH with O2 is a very effective reaction, occurring at 150 K and giving rise to acetate. The presence of NO does not lead to any evident oxidation of 13C2H5OH irrespective of the annealing temperature. For the case of O2 + 13C2H5OH + NO co-adlayers, oxidation of 13C2H5OH also takes place at 150 K. However, no new surface species that are supposed to be an intermediate for the production of N2 are detected. The influence of O2 on the production and desorption of N2 is intimately related to both O2 and 13C2H5OH coverage. The presence of pre-dosed O2 does not greatly promote N2 desorption. In fact, N2 desorption is suppressed quantitatively with increasing O2 coverage, after which unreacted, or left-over O atoms appear and remain on steps. It is concluded that the presence of pre-dosed O2 does not play a role of activating reactants in the catalytic reduction of NO with 13C2H5OH on the surface of Pt(3 3 2).  相似文献

A pair of 1.5 μm semiconductor laser frequency standards have been developed for optical telecommunications use, stabilised to transitions of 12C2H2 and 13C2H2, using cavity-enhanced Doppler-free saturation absorption spectroscopy. The absolute frequencies of 41 lines of the ν1 + ν3 band of 12C2H2, covering the spectral region 1520-1545 nm, have been measured by use of a passive optical frequency comb generator, referenced to 13C2H2 transitions of known frequency. The mean experimental uncertainties (coverage factor k = 1) of the frequency values are 3.0 kHz (type A) and 10 kHz (type B). Improved values of the band origin ν0, rotational constants B′ and B″, and centrifugal distortion coefficients D′, D″, H′, and H″ are presented.  相似文献

In H2 and H2/CO oxidation, the H + O2 + M termination step is one of the most important reactions at elevated pressures. With the recent, increased interest in synthetic fuels, an accurate assessment of its rate coefficient becomes increasingly important, especially for real fuel/air mixtures. Ignition delay times in shock-tube experiments at the conditions selected in this study are only sensitive to the rates of the title reaction and the branching reaction H + O2 = OH + O, the rate of which is known to a high level of accuracy. The rate coefficient of the title reaction for M = N2, Ar, and H2O was determined by adjusting its value in a detailed chemical kinetics model to match ignition delay times for H2/CO/O2/N2, H2/CO/O2/Ar, and H2/CO/O2/N2/H2O mixtures with fuel/air equivalence ratios of ? = 0.5, 0.9, and 1.0. The rate of H + O2 + N2 = HO2 + N2 was measured to be 2.7 (−0.7/+0.8) × 1015 cm6/mol2 s for T = 916-1265 K and P = 1-17 atm. The present determination agrees well with the recent study of Bates et al. [R.W. Bates, D.M. Golden, R.K. Hanson, C.T. Bowman, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 3 (2001) 2337-2342], whose rate expressions are suggested herein for modeling the falloff regime. The rate of H + O2 + Ar = HO2 + Ar was measured to be 1.9 × 1015 cm6/mol2 s for T = 932-965 K and P = 1.4 atm. The rate of H + O2 + H2O = HO2 + H2O was measured to be 3.3 × 1016 cm6/mol2 s for T = 1071-1161 K and P = 1.3 atm. These are the first experimental measurements of the rates of the title reactions in practical combustion fuel/air mixtures.  相似文献

The Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ (0≤y≤0.20) phosphors were synthesized at 1100 °C in air by the solid-state reaction route. The as-synthesized phosphors were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence excitation (PLE), photoluminescence (PL) spectra and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. The PLE spectra show the excitation peaks from 300 to 400 nm due to the 4f-4f transitions of Dy3+. This mercury-free excitation is useful for solid-state lighting and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The emission of Dy3+ ions on 350 nm excitation was observed at 480 nm (blue) due to the 4F9/26H15/2 transitions, 575 nm (yellow) due to 4F9/26H13/2 transitions and 660 nm (red) due to weak 4F9/26H11/2 emissions. The PL results from the investigated Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ phosphors show that Dy3+ emissions increase with the increase of the Na+ codoping ions. The integral intensity of yellow to blue (Y/B) can be tuned by controlling Na+ content. By the simulation of white light, the optimal CIE value (0.328, 0.334) can be achieved when the content of Na+-codoping ions is y=0.2. The results imply that the Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ phosphors could be potentially used as white LEDs.  相似文献

The kinetics of reactions on the C7H8 surface were studied with state-of-the-art ab initio transition state theory (TST) and master equation methodologies. A priori predictions of the capture rate for C6H5 + CH3 and for C7H7 + H are obtained from direct variable reaction coordinate TST simulations. These simulations employ small basis set CASPT2 interaction energies coupled with one-dimensional reaction path corrections based on higher level simulations for related reactions. For the C7H7 + H reaction, predictions are obtained for both the total rate and for the branching between toluene, o-isotoluene and p-isotoluene. A mapping of the low energy pathways for isomerization from these three C7H8 isomers identifies a number of processes with barriers at or below the dissociation threshold. Nevertheless, at combustion temperatures the dissociation rates are predicted to exceed the isomerization rates, and it is reasonable to treat the kinetics of each isomer as a simple single well association/dissociation equilibrium. Master equation simulations yield predictions for the temperature and pressure dependence of each of the recombination and dissociation processes, as well as for the C7H7 + H → C6H5 + CH3 bimolecular reaction. These simulations implement collisional energy transfer probabilities based on the work of Luther and co-workers. The theoretical predictions are found to be in satisfactory agreement with the available experimental data for the photodissociation of toluene, the temperature and pressure dependent dissociation of toluene, and the reaction of benzyl radical with H. For the C6H5 + CH3 recombination, the theoretical predictions exceed the experimental measurements of Lin and coworkers by a factor of 2 or more for all temperatures.  相似文献

In the present study, the laser absorption method was used to measure the rates of quenching of the metastable state He(21S0), the lower laser level in the self-terminating helium laser, with H2O, NH3, N2O, and CO2 molecules. For the above molecules, the quenching rate constants were found to equal (1.2 ± 0.3)10− 9, (0.8 ± 0.2)10− 9, (1.9 ± 0.2)10− 9 and (2.2 ± 0.4)10− 9 cm3 s− 1. Under excitation with long (up to 750 ns) open discharge generated electron beam pulses, lasing on the transition He (21P10-21S0) was examined. In the mixtures He-H2O and He-NH3, lasing durations almost equal to the pump-pulse duration were obtained. In the mixtures of He with CO2 and N2O, no lasing prolonged in comparison with pure helium was found. The data obtained were explained considering two quenching mechanisms for the state He(21S0): in collisions with molecules and in collisions with plasma electrons having low energies due to fast relaxation of the vibrational states of H2O and NH3 molecules.  相似文献

Fluorophosphate glasses of composition, P2O5 + K2O + KF + MO + Al2O3 + xEu2O3 (M = Mg, Sr and Ba; x = 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 6.0 mol%) were prepared and characterized their optical properties. Crystal-field (CF) analysis revealed a relatively weak CF strength around Eu3+ ions in the Ba based fluorophosphate glasses. The Judd-Ofelt parameters have been estimated from the oscillator strengths of 7F0 → 5D2, 7F0 → 5D4 and 7F0 → 5L6 absorption transitions of Eu3+ ions and were used to evaluate the radiative properties of the 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 0-4) transitions. Considerable variation has been observed in the relative intensity ratio of 5D0 → 7F2 to 5D0 → 7F1 transitions of Eu3+ ions due to change in the alkaline earth metal ions. The decay of the 5D0 level shows single exponential and less sensitive to Eu3+ ions concentration as well as MgO/SrO/BaO modifiers.  相似文献

Emission spectra of the b1Σ+(b0+) → X3Σ(X10+,X21) and a1Δ(a2) → X21 transitions of AsBr have been measured in the near-infrared spectral region with a Fourier-transform spectrometer. The arsenic bromide radicals were generated in fast-flow systems by reaction of arsenic vapor (Asx) with bromine and were excited by microwave-discharged oxygen. The most prominent features in the spectrum are the Δv = +1,0,−1, and −2 band sequences of the b1Σ+(b0+) → X3Σ(X10+) transition in the range 11 700-12 700 cm−1. With lower intensities, the Δv = 0 and −1 sequences of the b1Σ+(b0+) → X3Σ(X21) sub-system show up in the same range. Further to the red, between 6000 and 6700 cm−1, the Δv = 0, +1, and −1 sequences of the hitherto unknown a1Δ(a2) → X21 transition are observed. Analyses of medium- and high-resolution spectra have yielded improved molecular constants for the X10+, X21, and b0+ states and first values of the electronic energy and the vibrational constants of the a2 state.  相似文献

This paper reports the assignment of the rotational spectra of the m = 0 and 1 states of 13CC5H6-H2O and C6H5D-H2O dimers. The m = 1 progression was not identified or assigned for both 13CC5H6-H2O and C6H5D-H2O in the earlier work, though for the symmetric isotopomers (C6H6-H2O/D2O/H218O), they were identified [H.S. Gutowsky, T. Emilsson, E. Arunan, J. Chem. Phys. 99 (1993) 4883]. The m = 1 transitions for 13CC5H6-H2O and C6H5D-H2O were split into two, unlike that of the parent C6H6-H2O isotopomer. The splitting varied, somewhat randomly, with quantum numbers J and K. The m = 0 lines of 13CC5H6-H2O had significant overlap with the m = 1 lines of the parent isotopomer, clouding proper assignment, and leading to an rms deviation of about 200 kHz in the earlier work. The general semi-rigid molecular Hamiltonian coupled to an internal rotor, described recently by Duan et al. [Y.B. Duan, H.M. Zhang, K. Takagi, J. Chem. Phys. 104 (1996) 3914], is used in this work to assign both m = 0 and 1 states of 13CC5H6-H2O and C6H5D-H2O dimers. Consequently, the m = 0 fits for 13CC5H6-H2O/D2O have an rms deviation of only 4/7 kHz, comparable to experimental uncertainties. The fits for m = 1 transitions for 13CC5H6-H2O and C6H5D-H2O dimers have an rms deviation of about 200 kHz. However, it is of the same order of magnitude as that of the m = 1 state of the parent C6H6-H2O dimer. The A rotational constants determined from the m = 0 fits for both 13CC5H6-H2O and 13CC5H6-D2O isotopomers are identical and very close to the C rotational constant for 13CC5H6. This provides a direct experimental determination for the C rotational constant of 13CC5H6, which has a negligible dipole moment.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanisms of the reactions of cyanomidyl radical (HNCN) with oxygen atoms and molecules have been investigated by ab initio calculations with rate constant prediction. The doublet and quartet state potential energy surfaces (PESs) of the two reactions have been calculated by single-point calculations at the CCSD(T)/6-311+G(3df, 2p) level based on geometries optimized at the CCSD/6-311++G(d, p) level. The rate constants for various product channels of the two reactions in the temperature range of 300-3000 K are predicted by variational transition state and RRKM theories. The predicted total rate constants of the O(3P) + HNCN reaction at 760 Torr Ar pressure can be represented by the expressions ktotal (O + HNCN) = 3.12 × 10−10 × T−0.05 exp (−37/T) cm3 molecule−1 s−1 at T = 300-3000 K. The branching ratios of primary channels of the O(3P) + HNCN are predicted: k1 for producing the NO + CNH accounts for 0.72-0.64, k2 + k9 for producing the 3NH + NCO accounts for 0.27-0.32, and k6 for producing the CN + HNO accounts for 0.01-0.07 in the temperature range studied. Meanwhile, the predicted total rate constants of the O2 + HNCN reaction at 760 Torr Ar pressure can be represented by the expression, ktotal(O2 + HNCN) = 2.10 × 10−16 × T1.28exp (−12200/T) cm3 molecule−1 s−1 at T = 300-3000 K. The predicted branching ratio for k11 + k13 producing HO2 + 3NCN as the primary products accounts for 0.98-1.00 in the temperature range studied.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of the [4-NH2C5H4NH] SbCl4 (abbreviated as 4-APCA) crystal were investigated under hydrostatic pressure up to 300 Mpa. The pressure-temperature phase diagram was given. The paraelectric-ferroelectric phase transition (II→III) temperature (Tc) increases linearly with increasing pressure with a slope dTc/dp=21×10−2 K/MPa. The pressure dependence of Curie-Weiss constants has been evaluated also. In the paraelectric phase (II) the Curie constant (C+) was pressure dependent whereas the C constant over the ferroelectric phase (III) was almost constant. The results are interpreted in terms of improper and displacive type phase transition model with a soft phonon at a zone boundary.  相似文献

We report experimental rate coefficients for the energy-pooling collisions Cs(5D) + Cs(5D) → Cs(6S) + Cs(nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). In the experiment the Cs(5D) state was populated via photodissociation of Cs2 molecules using an argon-ion laser at wavelength 488.0 nm. We also consider the competing process 6P1/2 + 7S → 6S + (nl = 9D, 11S, 7F) that might also populate 9D, 11S and 7F. An intermodulation technique was used to select the fluorescence contributions due only to the process 6P1/2 + 7S → 6S + (nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). The excited atom (nlJ) density and spatial distribution were mapped by monitoring the absorption of a counterpropagating probe laser beam tuned to various transitions. The measured excited atom densities are combined with measured fluorescence ratios to yield rate coefficients for the energy-pooling collisions Cs(5D) + Cs(5D) → Cs(6S) + Cs(nl = 9D, 11S, 7F). The rate coefficients for nl = 9D, 11S, 7F are (4.1 ± 2.0) × 10−10 cm3 s−1, (1.6 ± 0.8) × 10−10 cm3 s−1 and (3.6 ± 1.8) × 10−10 cm3 s−1, respectively. The contributions to the rate coefficients from other energy transfer processes are also discussed.  相似文献
