Based on an effective two-orbital tight-binding model, we examine the possible superconducting states in iron-vacancy-ordered A(y)Fe(2-x)Se(2). In the presence of ordered vacancies and blocked antiferromagnetic order, it is shown that the emergent SC pairing is the nodeless next-nearest-neighbor (NNN)-pairing due to the dominant antiferromagnetic (AFM) interaction between the inter-block NNN sites. In particular, we show that due to the ordered vacancies and the associated blocked AFM order, the interplay between the superconducting and AFM states results in three distinct states in the phase diagram as doping is varied. The divergent experimental observations can be accounted for by considering the different charge carrier concentrations in their respective compounds.  相似文献

In this article I give a pedagogical illustration of why the essential problem of high-T c superconductivity in the cuprates is about how an antiferromagnetically ordered state can be turned into a short-range state by doping. I will start with half-filling where the antiferromagnetic ground state is accurately described by the Liang-Doucot-Anderson (LDA) wavefunction. Here the effect of the Fermi statistics becomes completely irrelevant due to the no double occupancy constraint. Upon doping, the statistical signs reemerge, albeit much reduced as compared to the original Fermi statistical signs. By precisely incorporating this altered statistical sign structure at finite doping, the LDA ground state can be recast into a short-range antiferromagnetic state. Superconducting phase coherence arises after the spin correlations become short-ranged, and the superconducting phase transition is controlled by spin excitations. I will stress that the pseudogap phenomenon naturally emerges as a crossover between the antiferromagnetic and superconducting phases. As a characteristic of non Fermi liquid, the mutual statistical interaction between the spin and charge degrees of freedom will reach a maximum in a high-temperature ??strange metal phase?? of the doped Mott insulator.  相似文献

We study the phase diagram of a new model that exhibits a first order transition between s-wave superconducting and antiferromagnetic phases. The model, a generalized Hubbard model augmented with competing spin-spin and pair-pair interactions, was investigated using the projector quantum Monte Carlo method. Upon varying the Hubbard U from attractive to repulsive, we find a first order phase transition between superconducting and antiferromagnetic states.  相似文献

The problem of order-order and order-disorder transitions in the system described by the 2D antiferromagnetic Blume-Capel model in the presence of a magnetic field is studied by the Wang and Landau flat-histogram simulation method and by the classical Monte Carlo. Anomalous thermodynamic characteristics in low temperatures indicate different type orderings in finite temperatures. The existence of pure antiferromagnetic phases as well as mixed state is shown by detailed phenomenological analysis of the system. The border lines on the phase diagram between various orderings are determined by the complementary microscopic study of the percolation problem for c(2×2) elementary structures of antiferromagnetic ordered phases. This new approach has also shown a full agreement between the percolation threshold for the cluster of mixed phase and the critical temperature of the ordered system.  相似文献

In the t-J model, the electron fractionalization is dictated by the phase string effect. We find that in the underdoped regime, the antiferromagnetic and superconducting phases are dual: in the former, holons are confined while spinons are deconfined, and vice?versa in the latter. These two phases are separated by a novel phase, the so-called Bose-insulating phase, where both holons and spinons are deconfined. A pair of Wilson loops was found to constitute a complete set of order parameters determining this zero-temperature phase diagram. The quantum phase transitions between these phases are suggested to be of non-Landau-Ginzburg-Wilson type.  相似文献

Behavior of doped fermions in Z2 gauge theories for the quantum dimer and eight-vertex models is studied. Fermions carry charge and spin degrees of freedom. In the confinement phase of the Z2 gauge theories, these internal symmetries are spontaneously broken and a superconducting or Neél state appears. On the other hand in the deconfinement-topologically ordered state, all symmetries are respected. From the view point of the quantum dimer and eight-vertex models, this result indicates interplay of the phase structure of the doped fermions and background configuration of the dimer or the eight-vertex groundstate. At the quantum phase transitions in these systems, structure of the doped fermions groundstate and also that of the background dimer or eight-vertex groundstate both change. Translational symmetry breaking induces a superconducting or antiferromagnetic state of the doped fermions.  相似文献

We evaluate the thermodynamic properties of the 4-state antiferromagnetic Potts model on the Union-Jack lattice using tensor-based numerical methods. We present strong evidence for a previously unknown, "entropy-driven," finite-temperature phase transition to a partially ordered state. From the thermodynamics of Potts models on the diced and centered diced lattices, we propose that finite-temperature transitions and partially ordered states are ubiquitous on irregular lattices.  相似文献

The nature of electronic states due to strong correlation and geometric frustration on the triangular lattice is investigated in connection to the unconventional insulating state of NaxCoO2 at x=0.5. We study an extended Hubbard model using a spatially unrestricted Gutzwiller approximation. We find a new class of charge and spin ordered states at x=1/3 and x=0.5 where antiferromagnetic (AFM) frustration is alleviated via weak charge inhomogeneity. At x=0.5, we show that the square root of 3a x 2a off-plane Na dopant order induces weak square root of 3a x 1a charge order in the Co layer. The symmetry breaking enables successive square root of 3a x 1a AFM and 2a x 2a charge- or spin-ordering transitions at low temperatures. The Fermi surface is truncated by the 2a x 2a hexagonal zone boundary into small electron and hole pockets. We study the phase structure and compare to recent experiments.  相似文献

We investigate the phase diagram of the anisotropic spin-1/2 triangular lattice antiferromagnet, with interchain diagonal exchange J' much weaker than the intrachain exchange J. We find that fluctuations lead to a competition between (commensurate) collinear antiferromagnetic and (zigzag) dimer orders. Both states differ in symmetry from the spiral order known to occur for larger J', and are therefore separated by quantum phase transitions from it. The zero-field collinear antiferromagnet is succeeded in a magnetic field by magnetically ordered spin-density-wave and cone phases, before reaching the fully polarized state. Implications for the anisotropic triangular magnet Cs2CuCl4 are discussed.  相似文献

To study equilibrium structures of magnetoelastic chains we have introduced an equivalent system and examined the whole class of its solutions. Appearance of various structures of the chain is due to the choice of an appropriate minimizing solution of the equivalent dynamic system. Commensurate and incommensurate structures, transitions from ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic states, and transitions to the states with alternating clusters of ordered spins are obtained. Conditions for appearance of chaotic structures and amorphous magnetic states of the chain are discussed.  相似文献

We investigate quantum phase transitions in the frustrated antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model for SrCu2(BO3)(2) by using the series expansion method. It is found that a novel spin-gap phase, adiabatically connected to the plaquette-singlet phase, exists between the dimer and the magnetically ordered phases known thus far. When the ratio of the competing exchange couplings alpha( = J'/J) is varied, this spin-gap phase exhibits a first- (second-) order quantum phase transition to the dimer (the magnetically ordered) phase at the critical point alpha(c1) = 0.677(2) [ alpha(c2) = 0. 86(1)]. Our results shed light on some controversial arguments about the nature of quantum phase transitions in this model.  相似文献

Various instabilities of quasi-one-dimensional electron systems are examined in the mean field approximation. In addition to the charge density wave and the superconducting states, the antiferromagnetic state, described by the different orbitals for different spins and the spin density methods, is also considered. A phase diagram of these states is constructed.  相似文献

Abstract

Following the Bogoliubov variational principle, the equilibrium and stability equations of the free energy for the two sublattice antiferromagnetic system with inter- and intrasublattice exchange interactions and with an external magnetic field are investigated. For the Ising spin system with uniaxial anisotropy, the phase diagrams have been calculated for various values of anisotropy constant d and the ratio of intra- to intersublattice interaction constants γ. It is shown that first-order, as well as second-order transitions, occur for γ > 0, whereas only a second-order transition occurs for γ ≦ 0, irrespective of the sign of d. Furthermore, similar calculations are extended for the anisotropic Heisenberg spin system and quite interesting phase diagrams have been obtained. Next, the effects of the anisotropic exchange interactions on the magnetic ordered states and the magnetizations of the singlet ground state system of spin one and with a uniaxial anisotropy term are investigated in the vicinity of the level crossing field H ? D/gμ B . A field-induced ordered state without the transverse component of magnetization is shown to appear in a certain range of magnetic field as the spin dimensionality decreases. It has also turned out that the phase transition between this ordered state and the canted antiferromagnetic state ordinarily found for the isotropic singlet ground state system is of first order. Lastly, the stable spin configurations at a temperature of absolute zero for a two-sublattice uniaxial antiferromagnet under an external magnetic field of arbitrary direction are studied. In particular, the effects of a single ionic anisotropy D-term and anisotropy in the exchange interactions on the magnetic phases are investigated. The antiferromagnetic state has turned out to appear only for the external magnetic field along the easy axis of sublattice magnetization, and makes a first-order phase transition to the canted-spin state or the ferromagnetic state. For other field directions, no antiferromagnetic state appears and only a second-order phase transition between the canted-spin and the ferromagnetic states occurs. The critical field as a function of external field direction has been calculated for several D-values.  相似文献

Simplified double-exchange model including transfer of the itinerant electrons with spin parallel to the localized spin in the same site and the indirect interaction J of kinetic type between localized spins is comprihensively investigated. The model is exactly solved in infinite dimensions. The exact equations describing the main ordered phases (ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic) are obtained for the Bethe lattice with (z is the coordination number) in analytical form. The exact expression for the generalized paramagnetic susceptibility of the localized-spin subsystem is also obtained in analytical form. It is shown that temperature dependence of the uniform and the staggered susceptibilities has deviation from Curie-Weiss law. Dependence of Curie and Néel temperatures on itinerant-electron concentration is discussed to study instability conditions of the paramagnetic phase. Anomalous temperature behaviour of the chemical potential, the thermopower and the specific heat is investigated near the Curie point. It is found for J=0 that the system is unstable towards temperature phase separation between ferromagnetic and paramagnetic states. A phase separation connected with antiferromagnetic and the paramagnetic phases can occur only at . Zero-temperature phase diagram including the phase separation between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic states is given. Received 28 May 1999 and Received in final form 14 July 1999  相似文献

A scaling theory of the Kondo lattices with frustrated exchange interactions is developed, criterium of antiferromagnetic ordering being investigated. Depending on the bare model parameters, one or two quantum phase transitions into non-magnetic spin-liquid and Kondo Fermi-liquid ground states can occur with increasing the bare coupling constant. Whereas the renormalization of the magnetic moment in the ordered phase can reach orders of magnitude, spin fluctuation frequency and coupling constant are moderately renormalized in the spin-liquid phase. This justifies application of the scaling approach.  相似文献

We study a generalized Shastry-Sutherland model for the material SrCu2(BO3)(2). Along a line in the parameter space, we show rigorously that the model has a first-order phase transition between dimerized and Neel-ordered ground states. Furthermore, when a magnetic field is applied in the dimerized phase, magnetization plateaus develop at commensurate values of the magnetization. We also discuss various aspects of the phase diagram and properties of this model away from this exactly soluble line, which include gap-closing continuous transitions between dimerized and magnetically ordered phases.  相似文献

The local approach for the intraatomic correlation is applied to study the ground state phase diagram of the extended Hubbard model with a half-filled band. The long-range orders are not destroyed by the correlation effect in the limit of weak interaction, though the values of the order parameters are reduced from those of the Hartree-Fock approximation, especially for the antiferromagnetic-state. We find that the antiferromagnetic-charge order phase boundary is only slightly shifted towards the charge ordered state, while the phase boundary between the singlet superconducting and the charge ordered phases remains the same as that derived from the Hartree-Fock approximation.  相似文献

We present a detailed study of the extended Hubbard-Peierls model on a square lattice using the slave-boson method proposed by Kotliar and Ruckenstein. The emphasis is on the investigation of the ground state phase diagram. To compare the relative stability of several homogenous phases, the effective bosonized action was evaluated by means of a two-sublattice saddlepoint approximation which allows for the symmetry broken states compatible with the underlying bipartite lattice structure. Paying particular attention to the interplay of electron-electron and electron-phonon interaction, we take into account various types of magnetic ordered phases, i.e. para-, ferro-, ferri-, and antiferromagnetic states, as well as charge ordered phases, e.g. a static (, ) Peierls distorted state. Furthermore the approach has been applied to the following special cases: the Hubbard model, the extended Hubbard model, and the Hubbard-Peierls model. A careful numerical solution of the corresponding self-consistency equations enables us to map out the ground-state phase diagrams of the various models at arbitrary band filling over the whole range of interaction strength. In the phase diagram of the Hubbard model we found a large region with ferrimagnetic order away from half-filling. The phase diagram of the halffilled band extended Hubbard model shows a first-order transition from a spin-density-wave to a charge-density-wave state which is displaced from the mean-field lineU=4V towards largerV. At large negativeU andV we obtain a domain with charge separation. The phase compares favorably with earlier quantum Monte-Carlo results. Including the local electron-phonon coupling the charge-density-wave region is considerably enlarged. Away from half-filling the phase diagram becomes more complex: besides the pure magnetic phases we obtain ferri- and paramagnetic states which show additional charge-density order. Aspects of phase separation are discussed. Finally we investigate the variation of the different gap and order parameters along characteristic lines in the parameter space and determine the renormalized quasiparticle bands.  相似文献

The stationary states of the random-field Ising model are determined through the master equation approach, where the contact with the heat bath is simulated by the Glauber stochastic dynamics. The phase diagram of the model is constructed from the stationary values of the magnetization as a function of temperature and field amplitude. The continuous phase transitions coincide with the equilibrium ones, while the first-order transitions occur at fields larger than the corresponding values at equilibrium. The difference between the fields at the limit of stability of the ordered phase and that of the equilibrium is maximum at zero temperature and vanishes at the tricritical point. We also find the mean field time auto-correlation function at the stationary states of the model. Received: 4 June 1997 / Revised: 5 August 1997 / Accepted: 10 November 1997  相似文献
