We consider QCD radiative corrections to standard model Higgs-boson production in association with a W boson in hadron collisions. We present a fully exclusive calculation up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD perturbation theory. To perform this NNLO computation, we use a recently proposed version of the subtraction formalism. Our calculation includes finite-width effects, the leptonic decay of the W boson with its spin correlations, and the decay of the Higgs boson into a bb pair. We present selected numerical results at the Tevatron and the LHC. 相似文献

We present a full next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to diphoton production at the hadron colliders in both standard model and ADD model. The invariant mass and rapidity distributions of the diphotons are obtained using a semi-analytical two cut-off phase space slicing method which allows for a successful numerical implementation of various kinematical cuts used in the experiments. The fragmentation photons are systematically removed using smooth-cone-isolation cuts on the photons. The NLO QCD corrections not only stabilise the perturbative predictions but also enhance the production cross section significantly. 相似文献

Inclusive eta production at hadron colliders is considered, based on the evaluation of the eta fragmentation functions at next to leading order. Absolute predictions at LHC and SSC are presented, including the ratio η/π0, together with the estimate of the theoretical uncertainty, as a possible neutral background to theH→γγ detection. 相似文献

We report on the calculation of the next-to-leading-order QCD corrections to the production of W-boson pairs in association with a hard jet at the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN Large Hadron Collider, which is an important source of background for Higgs boson and new-physics searches. The corrections stabilize the leading-order prediction for the cross section considerably, in particular, if a veto against the emission of a second hard jet is applied. 相似文献

We calculate the cross section for hadroproduction of a pair of heavy quarks in a (3)S(1) color-singlet state at next-to-leading order in QCD. This corresponds to the leading contribution in the nonrelativistic QCD expansion for J/psi and Upsilon production. The higher-order corrections have a large impact on the p(T) distributions, enhancing the production at high p(T) at both the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The total decay rate of a (3)S(1) into hadrons at next-to-leading order is also computed, confirming for the first time the result obtained by Mackenzie and Lepage in 1981. 相似文献

The non-relativistic wave function framework is applied to study the production and decay of exotic hadrons, which can be effectively described as bound states of other hadrons. Employing the factorized formulation, with the help of event generators, we investigate the production of exotic hadrons in multiproduction processes at high energy hadron colliders. This study provides crucial information for the measurements of the relevant exotic hadrons. 相似文献

We describe the calculation of inclusive Higgs boson production at hadronic colliders at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO)
in perturbative quantum chromodynamics. We have used the technique developed in ref. [4]. Our results agree with those published
earlier in the literature. 相似文献

We present a complete next to next to leading order QCD corrections to the resonant production of sneutrino and charged slepton at the Tevatron and the Large Hadron Collider within the context of R-parity violating supersymmetric model. We have demonstrated the role of NNLO QCD corrections in reducing uncertainties resulting from renormalisation and factorisation scales and thereby making our predictions reliable. We have incorporated soft gluon effects at N3LO level in order to study the stability of our results under perturbation. The results obtained in this article are also applicable to resonance production of any color-neutral scalar coupled to fermions through Yukawa interaction. 相似文献

We study the production and decay of charged Higgs bosons,H ±, at TEVATRON and SSC energies as a function of the top massm t and theH ± massm H . We give the cross sections for events arising from bothH ±→τν andtb decays, together with those of the competing background processes. In particular, form t >m H we studyH ± W ? andW + W ? production and thet→bτν decay. 相似文献
