We establish the existence of Adams operations on the members of a filtration of K-theory which is defined using products of projective lines. We also show that this filtration induces the gamma filtration on the rational K-groups of a smooth variety over a field of characteristic zero.  相似文献

Let KX denote the algebraic K-theory spectrum of a regular Noetherian scheme X. Under mild additional hypotheses on X, we construct a spectral sequence converging to the topological K-theory of KX. The spectral sequence starts from the étale homology of X with coefficients in a certain copresheaf constructed from roots of unity. As examples we consider number rings, number fields, local fields, smooth curves over a finite field, and smooth varieties over the complex numbers.  相似文献

For finitely generated groups G and H, we prove that there is a weak equivalence G H (G × H) of ku-algebra spectra, where denotes the “unitary deformation K-theory” functor. The analogy between algebraic K-theory and cyclic homology is used to build a program aiming at understanding the algebraic K-theory of fields and the periodicity phenomena in algebraic K-theory. For a smooth projective surface X over C, we construct uncountably many non-torsion cycles in CH2(X) which die in the dilogarithmic cohomology of S. Bloch whenever there is an Abelian variety A and a correspondence δ in CH2(X × A) which induces non-zero map on the spaces of global 2-forms. In case X = E × E with E an elliptic curve, all of albanese kernel dies in any such analytic cohomology. Similar results are obtained for higher dimensional varieties under the condition of existence of non-trivial decomposable 2-forms.  相似文献

The verification of the isomorphism conjectures of Baum and Connes and Farrell and Jones for certain classes of groups is used to compute the algebraic K- and L-theory and the topological K-theory of cocompact planar groups (=cocompact N.E.C-groups) and of groups G appearing in an extension where is a finite group and the conjugation -action on n is free outside . These computations apply, for instance, to two-dimensional crystallographic groups and cocompact Fuchsian groups.  相似文献

We approximate theK-theory spectrum of the integers using a spectrum level rank filtration. By means of a certain poset spectral sequence, we explicitly compute the first three subquotients of this filtration.
