Three-dimensional network structures of [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[M(III)(CN)(6)] (M = Cr, Fe, Co) composition have been formed and their magnetic properties characterized. [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[M(III)(CN)(6)] (M = Cr, Fe, Co) have nu(CN) IR absorptions at 2138, 2116, and 2125 cm(-1) and have body-centered unit cells (a = 13.34, 13.30, and 13.10 A, respectively) with -M-Ctbd1;N-Ru=Ru-Ntbd1;C-M- linkages along all three Cartesian axes. [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[Cr(III)(CN)(6)] magnetically orders as a ferrimagnet (T(c) = 33 K) and has an unusual constricted hysteresis loop.  相似文献

Two new dinucleating ligands 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(2-pyridinecarboxamido)benzene, H(4)(tpb), and 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(4-tert-butyl-2-pyridinecarboxamido)benzene, H(4)(tbpb), have been synthesized, and the following dinuclear cyano complexes of cobalt(III) and iron(III) have been isolated: Na(2)[Co(III)(2)(tpb)(CN)(4)] (1); [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Co(III)(2)(tbpb)(CN)(4)] (2); [Co(III)(2)(tbpb(ox2))(CN)(4)] (3); [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Fe(III)(2)(tpb)(N(3))(4)] (4); [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Fe(III)(2)(tpb)(CN)(4)] (5); [N(n-Bu)(4)](2)[Fe(III)(2)(tbpb)(CN)(4)] (6). Complexes 2-4 and 6 have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography at 100 K. From electrochemical and spectroscopic (UV-vis, IR, EPR, M?ssbauer) and magnetochemical investigations it is established that the coordinated central 1,2,4,5-tetraamidobenzene entity in the cyano complexes can be oxidized in two successive one-electron steps yielding paramagnetic (tbpb(ox1))(3)(-) and diamagnetic (tbpb(ox2))(2)(-) anions. Thus, complex 6 exists in five characterized oxidation levels: [Fe(III)(2)(tbpb(ox2))(CN)(4)](0) (S = 0); [Fe(III)(2)(tbpb(ox1))(CN)(4)](-) (S = (1)/(2)); [Fe(III)(2)(tbpb)(CN)(4)](2)(-) (S = 0); [Fe(III)Fe(II)(tbpb)(CN)(4)](3)(-) (S = (1)/(2)); [Fe(II)(2)(tbpb)(CN)(4)](4)(-) (S = 0). The iron(II) and (III) ions are always low-spin configurated. The electronic structure of the paramagnetic iron(III) ions and the exchange interaction of the three-spin system [Fe(III)(2)(tbpb(ox1))(CN)(4)](-) are characterized in detail. Similarly, for 2 three oxidation levels have been identified and fully characterized: [Co(III)(2)(tbpb)(CN)(4)](2)(-) (S = 0); [Co(III)(2)(tbpb(ox1))(CN)(4)](-) (S = (1)/(2)); [Co(III)(2)(tbpb(ox2))(CN)(4)](0). The crystal structures of 2 and 3 clearly show that the two electron oxidation of 2 yielding 3 affects only the central tetraamidobenzene part of the ligand.  相似文献

Reactions between [M(N(4)-macrocycle)](2+) (M = Zn(II) and Ni(II); macrocycle ligands are either CTH = d,l-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane or cyclam = 1,4, 8, 11-tetrazaazaciclotetradecane) and [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe(III) and Mn(III)) give rise to cyano-bridged assemblies with 1D linear chain and 2D honeycomblike structures. The magnetic measurements on the 1D linear chain complex [Fe(cyclam)][Fe(CN)(6)].6H(2)O 1 points out its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within the chain and the antiferromagnetic one between chains. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 5.5 K and the critical field at 2 K is 1 T. The unexpected ferromagnetic intrachain interaction can be rationalized on the basis of the axially elongated octahedral geometry of the low spin Fe(III) ion of the [Fe(cyclam)](3+) unit. The isostructural substitution of [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by [Mn(CN)(6)](3-) in the previously reported complex [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).12H(2)O 2 leads to [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Mn(CN)(6)](2).16 H(2)O 3, which exhibits a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a metamagnetic behavior with T(N) = 16 K and a critical field of 1 T. In the ferromagnetic phase (H > 1 T) this compound shows a very important coercitive field of 2900 G at 2 K. Compound [Ni(CTH)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).13H(2)O 4, C(60)H(116)Fe(2)N(24)Ni(3)O(13), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 20.462(7), b = 16.292(4), c = 27.262(7) A, beta = 101.29(4) degrees, Z = 4, also has a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a ferromagnetic intralayer interaction, but, in contrast to 2 and 3, does not exhibit any magnetic ordering. This fact is likely due to the increase of the interlayer separation in this compound. ([Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)] [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)].22H(2)O.EtOH) 5, C(44)H(122)Fe(2)N(24)O(23)Zn(3), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 14.5474(11), b = 37.056(2), c = 14.7173(13) A, beta = 93.94(1) degrees, Z = 4, presents an unique structure made of anionic linear chains containing alternating [Zn(cyclam)](2+) and [Fe(CN)(6)](3)(-) units and cationic trinuclear units [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)](+). Their magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low spin iron(III) ions.  相似文献

The new cyano complexes of formulas PPh(4)[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)] x H(2)O (1), [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] x 4H(2)O with M = Mn (2) and Zn (3), and [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)Zn(II)] x 2H(2)O (4) [bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine and PPh(4) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation] have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure of complex 1 is made up of mononuclear [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) anions, tetraphenyphosphonium cations, and water molecules of crystallization. The iron(III) is hexacoordinated with two nitrogen atoms of a chelating bipy and four carbon atoms of four terminal cyanide groups, building a distorted octahedron around the metal atom. The structure of complexes 2 and 3 consists of neutral centrosymmetric [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] heterotrinuclear units and crystallization water molecules. The [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) entity of 1 is present in 2 and 3 acting as a monodentate ligand toward M(H(2)O)(4) units [M = Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3)] through one cyanide group, the other three cyanides remaining terminal. Four water molecules and two cyanide nitrogen atoms from two [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units in trans positions build a distorted octahedron surrounding Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3). The structure of the [Fe(phen)(CN)(4)](-) complex ligand in 2 and 3 is close to that of the one in 1. The intramolecular Fe-M distances are 5.126(1) and 5.018(1) A in 2 and 3, respectively. 4 exhibits a neutral one-dimensional polymeric structure containing two types of [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units acting as bismonodentate (Fe(1)) and trismonodentate (Fe(2)) ligands versus the divalent zinc cations through two cis-cyanide (Fe(1)) and three fac-cyanide (Fe(2)) groups. The environment of the iron atoms in 4 is distorted octahedral as in 1-3, whereas the zinc atom is pentacoordinated with five cyanide nitrogen atoms, describing a very distorted square pyramid. The iron-zinc separations across the single bridging cyanides are 5.013(1) and 5.142(1) A at Fe(1) and 5.028(1), 5.076(1), and 5.176(1) A at Fe(2). The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0-300 K. 1 is a low-spin iron(III) complex with an important orbital contribution. The magnetic properties of 3 correspond to the sum of two magnetically isolated spin triplets, the antiferromagnetic coupling between the low-spin iron(III) centers through the -CN-Zn-NC- bridging skeleton (iron-iron separation larger than 10 A) being very weak. More interestingly, 2 exhibits a significant intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the central spin sextet and peripheral spin doublets, leading to a low-lying spin quartet.  相似文献

Two bis(amido)ruthenium(IV) complexes, [Ru(IV)(bpy)(L-H)(2)](2+) and [Ru(IV)(L)(L-H)(2)](2+) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, L = 2,3-diamino-2,3-dimethylbutane, L-H = (H(2)NCMe(2)CMe(2)NH)(-)), were prepared by chemical oxidation of [Ru(II)(bpy)(L)(2)](2+) and the reaction of [(n-Bu)(4)N][Ru(VI)NCl(4)] with L, respectively. The structures of [Ru(bpy)(L-H)(2)][ZnBr(4)].CH(3)CN and [Ru(L)(L-H)(2)]Cl(2).2H(2)O were determined by X-ray crystal analysis. [Ru(bpy)(L-H)(2)][ZnBr(4)].CH(3)CN crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 12.597(2) ?, b = 15.909(2) ?, c = 16.785(2) ?, beta = 91.74(1) degrees, and Z = 4. [Ru(L)(L-H)(2)]Cl(2).2H(2)O crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I4(1)/a with a = 31.892(6) ?, c = 10.819(3) ?, and Z = 16. In both complexes, the two Ru-N(amide) bonds are cis to each other with bond distances ranging from 1.835(7) to 1.856(7) ?. The N(amide)-Ru-N(amide) angles are about 110 degrees. The two Ru(IV) complexes are diamagnetic, and the chemical shifts of the amide protons occur at around 13 ppm. Both complexes display reversible metal-amide/metal-amine redox couples in aqueous solution with a pyrolytic graphite electrode. Depending on the pH of the media, reversible/quasireversible 1e(-)-2H(+) Ru(IV)-amide/Ru(III)-amine and 2e(-)-2H(+) Ru(IV)-amide/Ru(II)-amine redox couples have been observed. At pH = 1.0, the E degrees is 0.46 V for [Ru(IV)(bpy)(L-H)(2)](2+)/[Ru(III)(bpy)(L)(2)](3+) and 0.29 V vs SCE for [Ru(IV)(L)(L-H)(2)](2+)/[Ru(III)(L)(3)](3+). The difference in the E degrees values for the two Ru(IV)-amide complexes has been attributed to the fact that the chelating saturated diamine ligand is a better sigma-donor than 2,2'-bipyridine.  相似文献

Four mixed-valent ruthenium diphosphonates, namely, Na(4)[Ru(2)(hedp)(2)X]x16H(2)O [X = Cl (1), Br (2)], K(3)[Ru(2)(hedp)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]x6H(2)O (3), and Na(7)[Ru(2)(hedp)(2)Fe(CN)(6)]x24H(2)O (4), where hedp represents 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate [CH(3)C(OH)(PO(3))(2)](4-), were synthesized and structurally characterized. Compounds 1, 2, and 4 show linear chain structures in which the mixed-valent [Ru(2)(hedp)(2)](3-) dimers are linked by X(-) or [Fe(CN)(6)](4-) bridges. Compound 3 contains discrete species of [Ru(2)(hedp)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](3-) where the axial positions of [Ru(2)(hedp)(2)](3-) paddlewheel are terminated by water molecules. Magnetic studies show that significant antiferromagnetic exchanges are mediated between the [Ru(2)(hedp)(2)](3-) (S = 3/2) units through halide bridges in compounds 1 and 2.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures, and magnetic properties of four cyano-bridged M(II)Ru(III)2 compounds prepared from the paramagnetic Ru(III) building blocks, trans-[Ru(salen)(CN)2]- 1 [H2salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneimine)] and trans-[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]- (Hacac = acetylacetone), are described. Compound 2, {Mn(CH3OH)4[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2}.6CH3OH.2H2O, is a trinuclear complex that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) and Ru(III) centers. Compound 3, {Mn(H2O)2[Ru(salen)(CN)2]2.H2O}n, has a 2-D sheetlike structure that exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn and Ru, leading to ferrimagnetic-like behavior. Compound 4, {Ni(cyclam)[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}.2CH3OH.2H2O (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), is a trinuclear complex that exhibits ferromagnetic coupling. Compound 5, {Co[Ru(acac)2(CN)2]2}n, has a 3-D diamond-like interpenetrating network that exhibits ferromagnetic ordering below 4.6 K. The density functional theory (DFT) method was used to calculate the molecular magnetic orbitals and the magnetic exchange interaction between Ru(III) and M(II) (Mn(II), Ni(II)) ions.  相似文献

The reaction of [Ru(2)Cl(O(2)CMe)(DPhF)(3)] (DPhF=N,N'-diphenylformamidinate) with aqueous HCl leads to the substitution of the acetate ligand to give the complex [Ru(2)Cl(2)(DPhF)(3)] (1). Similar reaction of [Ru(2)(O(2)CMe)(DPhF)(3)(H(2)O)]BF(4) with aqueous HBr or HI produces [Ru(2)Br(2)(DPhF)(3)] (2), and [Ru(2)I(2)(DPhF)(3)] (3), respectively. The reaction of 1 with AgBF(4) to form the highly unsaturated unit [Ru(2)(DPhF)(3)](2+), which is isolated as [Ru(2)(BF(4))(DPhF)(3)(H(2)O)]BF(4) (4), and [Ru(2)(MeCN)(2)(DPhF)(3)](BF(4))(2) (5), is also reported. The use of AgNO(3) instead of AgBF(4) leads to [Ru(2)(NO(3))(2)(DPhF)(3)] (6). The magnetic behaviour of complexes 1-4 and 6 is intermediate between high- and low-spin configurations. A relationship between the magnetic behaviour and the visible-near-infrared (Vis-NIR) spectra is apparent. In addition, the crystal structure determinations of 2, 4.THF, and 6, have been carried out. Complexes 1-3, 5 and 6 are the first examples of open-paddlewheel structures in diruthenium chemistry. The BF(4) (-) bridging the metal centres in 4THF is activated and forms very short Ru-F bonds.  相似文献

The generation of metal cyanide ions in the gas phase by laser ablation of M(CN)(2) (M = Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Hg), Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O, Ag(3)[M(CN)(6)] (M = Fe, Co), and Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)] has been investigated using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Irradiation of Zn(CN)(2) and Cd(CN)(2) produced extensive series of anions, [Zn(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (1 < or = n < or = 27) and [Cd(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (n = 1, 2, 8-27, and possibly 29, 30). Cations Hg(CN)(+) and [Hg(2)(CN)(x)](+) (x = 1-3), and anions [Hg(CN)(x)](-) (x = 2, 3), are produced from Hg(CN)(2). Irradiation of Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O gives the anions [Fe(CN)(2)](-), [Fe(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Fe(2)(CN)(5)](-). When Ag(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] is ablated, [AgFe(CN)(4)](-) and [Ag(2)Fe(CN)(5)](-) are observed together with homoleptic anions of Fe and Ag. The additional heterometallic complexes [AgFe(2)(CN)(6)](-), [AgFe(3)(CN)(8)](-), [Ag(2)Fe(2)(CN)(7)](-), and [Ag(3)Fe(CN)(6)](-) are observed on ablation of Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)]. Homoleptic anions [Co(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Co(3)(CN)(5)](-) are formed when anhydrous Co(CN)(2) is the target. Ablation of Ag(3)[Co(CN)(6)] yields cations [Ag(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n)](+) (n = 1, 2) and anions [Ag(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n-1)](-) (n = 1, 2), [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1, 2), and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+3)](-) (n = 0-2). The Ni(I) species [Ni(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ni(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3) are produced when anhydrous Ni(CN)(2) is irradiated. In all cases, CN(-) and polyatomic carbon nitride ions C(x)N(y)(-) are formed concurrently. On the basis of density functional calculations, probable structures are proposed for most of the newly observed species. General structural features are low coordination numbers, regular trigonal coordination stereochemistry for d(10) metals but distorted trigonal stereochemistry for transition metals, the occurrence of M-CN-M and M(-CN-)(2)M bridges, addition of AgCN to terminal CN ligands, and the occurrence of high spin ground states for linear [M(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) complexes of Co and Ni.  相似文献

The synthesis of new dinuclear manganese(IV) complexes possessing the [Mn(IV)(2)(mu-O)(2)(mu-O(2)CMe)](3+) core and containing halide ions as terminal ligands is reported. [Mn(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(2)(bpy)(2)](2)[MnCl(4)] (1; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) was prepared by sequential addition of [MnCl(3)(bpy)(H(2)O)] and (NBzEt(3))(2)[MnCl(4)] to a CH(2)Cl(2) solution of [Mn(3)O(4)(O(2)CMe)(4)(bpy)(2)]. The complex [Mn(IV)(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)](NO(3))(2) (2) was obtained from a water/acetic acid solution of MnCl(2).4H(2)O, bpy, and (NH(4))(2)[Ce(NO(3))(6)], whereas the [Mn(IV)(2)O(2)(O(2)CR)X(bpy)(2)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2) [X = Cl(-) and R = Me (3), Et (5), or C(2)H(4)Cl (6); and X = F(-), R = Me (4)] were prepared by a slightly modified procedure that includes the addition of HClO(4). For the preparation of 4, MnF(2) was employed instead of MnCl(2).4H(2)O. [Mn(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(2)(bpy)(2)](2)[MnCl(4)].2CH(2)Cl(2) (1.2CH(2)Cl(2)) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 21.756(2) A, b = 12.0587(7) A, c = 26.192(2) A, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 111.443(2) degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, V = 6395.8(6) A(3), and Z = 4. [Mn(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(H(2)O)(bpy)(2)](NO(3))(2).H(2)O (2.H(2)O) crystallizes in the triclinic space group Ponemacr; with a = 11.907(2) A, b = 12.376(2) A, c = 10.986(2) A, alpha = 108.24(1) degrees, beta = 105.85(2) degrees, gamma = 106.57(1) degrees, V = 1351.98(2) A(3), and Z = 2. [Mn(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(H(2)O)(bpy)(2)](ClO(4))(2).MeCN (3.MeCN) crystallizes in the triclinic space group Ponemacr; with a = 11.7817(7) A, b = 12.2400(7) A, c = 13.1672(7) A, alpha = 65.537(2) degrees, beta = 67.407(2) degrees, gamma = 88.638(2) degrees, V = 1574.9(2) A(3), and Z = 2. The cyclic voltammogram (CV) of 1 exhibits two processes, an irreversible oxidation of the [MnCl(4)](2)(-) at E(1/2) approximately 0.69 V vs ferrocene and a reversible reduction at E(1/2) = 0.30 V assigned to the [Mn(2)O(2)(O(2)CMe)Cl(2)(bpy)(2)](+/0) couple (2Mn(IV) to Mn(IV)Mn(III)). In contrast, the CVs of 2 and 3 show only irreversible reduction features. Solid-state magnetic susceptibility (chi(M)) data were collected for complexes 1.1.5H(2)O, 2.H(2)O, and 3.H(2)O in the temperature range 2.00-300 K. The resulting data were fit to the theoretical chi(M)T vs T expression for a Mn(IV)(2) complex derived by use of the isotropic Heisenberg spin Hamiltonian (H = -2JS(1)S(2)) and the Van Vleck equation. The obtained fit parameters were (in the format J/g) -45.0(4) cm(-)(1)/2.00(2), -36.6(4) cm(-)(1)/1.97(1), and -39.3(4) cm(-)(1)/1.92(1), respectively, where J is the exchange interaction parameter between the two Mn(IV) ions. Thus, all three complexes are antiferromagnetically coupled.  相似文献

The compounds [Ru(NH(3))(5)(dtdp)](TFMS)(3), [Os(NH(3))(5)(dtdp)](TFMS)(3), [(NH(3))(5)Os(dtdp)Os(NH(3))(5)](TFMS)(6), [(NH(3))(5)Os(dtdp)Ru(NH(3))(5)](TFMS)(3)(PF(6))(2), and [(NH(3))(5)Os(dtdp)Fe(CN)(5)] (dtdp = 4,4'-dithiodipyridine, TFMS = trifluoromethanesulfonate) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, electronic, vibrational, EPR, and (1)H NMR spectroscopies. Changes in the electronic and voltammetric spectra of the ion complex [Os(NH(3))(5)(dtdp)](3+) as a function of the solution pH enable us to calculate the pK(a) for the [Os(NH(3))(5)(dtdpH)](4+) and [Os(NH(3))(5)(dtdpH)](3+) acids as 3.5 and 5.5, respectively. The comparison of the above pK(a) data with that for the free ligand (pK(1) = 4.8) provides evidence for the -S-S- bridge efficiency as an electron conductor between the two pyridine rings. The symmetric complex, [(NH(3))(5)Os(dtdp)Os(NH(3))(5)](6+), is found to exist in two geometric forms, and the most abundant form (most probably trans) has a strong conductivity through the -S-S- bridge, as is shown by EPR, which finds it to have an S = 1 spin state with a spin-spin interaction parameter of 150-200 G both in the solid sate and in frozen solution. Further the NMR of the same complex shows a large displacement of unpaired spin into the pi orbitals of the dttp ligand relative to that found in [Os(NH(3))(5)(dtdp)](3+). The comproportionation constant, K(c) = 2.0 x 10(5), for the equilibrium equation [Os(II)Os(II)] + [Os(III)Os(III)] right harpoon over left harpoon 2[Os(II)Os(III)] and the near-infrared band energy for the mixed-valence species (MMCT), [(NH(3))(5)Os(dtdp)Os(NH(3))(5)](5+) (lambda(MMCT) = 1665 nm, epsilon = 3.5 x 10(3) M(-)(1) cm(-)(1), deltanu(1/2) = 3.7 x 10(3) cm(-)(1), alpha = 0.13, and H(AB) = 7.8 x 10(2) cm(-)(1)), are quite indicative of strong electron delocalization between the two osmium centers. The electrochemical and spectroscopic data for the unsymmetrical binuclear complexes [(NH(3))(5)Os(III)(dtdp)Ru(II)(NH(3))(5)](5+) (lambda(MMCT) = 965 nm, epsilon = 2.2 x 10(2) M(-)(1) cm(-)(1), deltanu(1/2) = 3.0 x 10(3) cm(-)(1), and H(AB) = 2.2 x 10(2) cm(-)(1)) and [(NH(3))(5)Os(III)(dtdp)Fe(II)(CN)(5)] (lambda(MMCT) = 790 nm, epsilon = 7.5 x 10 M(-)(1) cm(-)(1), deltanu(1/2) = 5.4 x 10(3) cm(-)(1), and H(AB) = 2.0 x 10(2) cm(-)(1)) also suggest a considerable electron delocalization through the S-S bridge. As indicated by a comparison of K(c) and energy of the MMCT process in the iron, ruthenium, and osmium complexes, the electron delocalization between the two metal centers increases in the following order: Fe < Ru < Os.  相似文献

Nitrosyl complexes with {Ru-NO} (6) and {Ru-NO} (7) configurations have been isolated in the framework of [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] ( n+ ) [trpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine, L = 2-phenylimidazo[4,5- f]1,10-phenanthroline] as the perchlorate salts [ 4](ClO 4) 3 and [ 4](ClO 4) 2, respectively. Single crystals of protonated material [ 4-H (+)](ClO 4) 4.2H 2O reveal a Ru-N-O bond angle of 176.1(7) degrees and triply bonded N-O with a 1.127(9) A bond length. Structures were also determined for precursor compounds of [ 4] (3+) in the form of [Ru(trpy)(L)(Cl)](ClO 4).4.5H 2O and [Ru(trpy)(L-H)(CH 3CN)](ClO 4) 3.H 2O. In agreement with largely NO centered reduction, a sizable shift in nu(NO) frequency was observed on moving from [ 4] (3+) (1953 cm (-1)) to [ 4] (2+) (1654 cm (-1)). The Ru (II)-NO* in isolated or electrogenerated [ 4] (2+) exhibits an EPR spectrum with g 1 = 2.020, g 2 = 1.995, and g 3 = 1.884 in CH 3CN at 110 K, reflecting partial metal contribution to the singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO); (14)N (NO) hyperfine splitting ( A 2 = 30 G) was also observed. The plot of nu(NO) versus E degrees ({RuNO} (6) --> {RuNO} (7)) for 12 analogous complexes [Ru(trpy)(L')(NO)] ( n+ ) exhibits a linear trend. The electrophilic Ru-NO (+) species [ 4] (3+) is transformed to the corresponding Ru-NO 2 (-) system in the presence of OH (-) with k = 2.02 x 10 (-4) s (-1) at 303 K. In the presence of a steady flow of dioxygen gas, the Ru (II)-NO* state in [ 4] (2+) oxidizes to [ 4] (3+) through an associatively activated pathway (Delta S++ = -190.4 J K (-1) M (-1)) with a rate constant ( k [s (-1)]) of 5.33 x 10 (-3). On irradiation with light (Xe lamp), the acetonitrile solution of paramagnetic [Ru(trpy)(L)(NO)] (2+) ([ 4] (2+)) undergoes facile photorelease of NO ( k NO = 2.0 x 10 (-1) min (-1) and t 1/2 approximately 3.5 min) with the concomitant formation of the solvate [Ru (II)(trpy)(L)(CH 3CN)] (2+) [ 2'] (2+). The photoreleased NO can be trapped as an Mb-NO adduct.  相似文献

The second method for the synthesis of cis-[Ru(III)Cl(2)(cyclam)]Cl (1) (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), with use of cis-Ru(II)Cl(2)(DMSO)(4) (DMSO = dimethyl sulfoxide) as a starting complex, is reported together with the synthesis of [Ru(II)(cyclam)(bpy)](BF(4))(2).H(2)O (2) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) from 1. The syntheses of Ru complexes of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) are also reported. A reaction between K(3)[Ru(III)(ox)(3)] (ox = oxalate) and tren affords fac-[Ru(III)Cl(3)(trenH)]Cl.(1)/(2)H(2)O (3) (trenH = bis(2-aminoethyl)(2-ammonioethyl)amine = monoprotonated tren) and (H(5)O(2))(2)[K(tren)][Ru(III)Cl(6)] (4) as major products and gives fac-[Ru(III)Cl(ox)(trenH)]Cl.(3)/(2)H(2)O (5) in very low reproducibility. A reaction between 3 and bpy affords [Ru(II)(baia)(bpy)](BF(4))(2) (6) (baia = bis(2-aminoethyl)(iminomethyl)amine), in which tren undergoes a selective dehydrogenation into baia. The crystal structures of 2-6 have been determined by X-ray diffraction, and their structural features are discussed in detail. Crystallographic data are as follows: 2, RuF(8)ON(6)C(20)B(2)H(34), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c with a = 12.448(3) ?, b = 13.200(7) ?, c = 17.973(4) ?, beta = 104.28(2) degrees, V = 2862(2) ?(3), and Z = 4; 3, RuCl(4)O(0.5)N(4)C(6)H(20), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/a with a = 13.731(2) ?, b = 14.319(4) ?, c = 13.949(2) ?, beta = 90.77(1) degrees, V = 2742(1) ?(3), and Z = 8; 4, RuKCl(6)O(4)N(4)C(6)H(28), trigonal, space group R&thremacr; with a = 10.254(4), c = 35.03(1) ?, V = 3190(2) ?(3), and Z = 6; 5, RuCl(2)O(5.5)N(4)C(8)H(22), triclinic, space group P&onemacr; with a = 10.336(2) ?, b = 14.835(2) ?, c = 10.234(1) ?, alpha = 90.28(1) degrees, beta = 90.99(1) degrees, gamma = 92.07(1) degrees, V = 1567.9(4) ?(3), and Z = 4; 6, RuF(8)N(6)C(16)B(2)H(24), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 10.779(2) ?, b = 14.416(3) ?, c = 14.190(2) ?, beta = 93.75(2) degrees, V = 2200.3(7) ?(3), and Z = 4. Compound 4 possesses a very unique layered structure made up of both anionic and cationic slabs, {[K(tren)](2)[Ru(III)Cl(6)]}(n)()(n)()(-) and {(H(5)O(2))(4)[Ru(III)Cl(6)]}(n)()(n)()(+) (n = infinity), in which both sheets {[K(tren)](2)}(n)()(2)(n)()(+) and {(H(5)O(2))(4)}(n)()(4)(n)()(+) offer cylindrical pores that are occupied with the [Ru(III)Cl(6)](3)(-) anions. The presence of a C=N double bond of baia in 6 is judged from the C-N distance of 1.28(2) ?. It is suggested that the structural restraint enhanced by the attachment of alkylene chelates at the nitrogen donors of amines results in either the mislocation or misdirection of the donors, leading to the elongation of the Ru-N(amine) distances and to the weakening of their trans influence. Such structural strain is also discussed as related to the spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of the cis-[Ru(II)L(4)(bpy)](2+) complexes (L(4) = (NH(3))(4), (ethylenediamine)(2), and cyclam).  相似文献

Paramagnetic (1)H NMR and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopies and density functional theory (DFT) spin density calculations were selectively performed on the [{(NH(3))(5)Ru}(2)(μ-L)](3+,?4+,?5+) complexes, where L is 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-, 2,5-dichloro-, 2,5-dimethyl-, and unsubstituted 1,4-dicyanamidobenzene dianion, to characterize the electronic structure of these complexes. EPR spectra of the [{(NH(3))(5)Ru}(2)(μ-L)](3+) complexes in N,N'-dimethylformamide at 4 K showed a ruthenium axial signal, and thus the complexes are [Ru(II),L(2-), Ru(III)] mixed-valence systems. DFT spin density calculations of [{(NH(3))(5)Ru}(2)(μ-L)](3+) where L = 1,4-dicyanamidobenzene dianion gave mostly bridging-ligand centered spin distribution for both vacuum and implicit solvent calculations, in poor agreement with EPR, but more realistic results were obtained when explicit electrostatic interactions between solute and solvent were included in modeling. For the [{(NH(3))(5)Ru}(2)(μ-L)](4+) complexes, EPR spectroscopy showed no signal down to 4 K. Nevertheless, solvent-dependent (1)H NMR data and analysis support a [Ru(III),L(2-), Ru(III)] state. Hyperfine coupling constants (A(c)/h) of trans- and cis-ammine and phenyl hydrogens were determined to be 17.2, 3.8, and -1.5 MHz respectively. EPR studies of the [{(NH(3))(5)Ru}(2)(μ-L)](5+) complexes showed a metal-radical axial signal and based on previously published (1)H NMR data, a [Ru(IV),L(2-), Ru(III)] state is favored over a [Ru(III),L(-), Ru(III)] state.  相似文献

A new cyanide-containing building block K[Fe(pcq)(CN)(3)] [1; pcq(-) = 8-(pyridine-2-carboxamido)quinoline anion] containing a low-spin Fe(III) center with three cyanide groups in a meridional arrangement has been successfully designed and synthesized. Three cyanide-bridged trinuclear Fe(III)(2)Mn(II) complexes, [Fe(pcq)(CN)(3)](2)[Mn(CH(3)OH)(2)(H(2)O)(2)].2H(2)O (2), [Fe(pcq)(CN)(3)](2)[Mn(bipy)(2)].CH(3)OH.2H(2)O (3), and [Fe(pcq)(CN)(3)](2)[Mn(phen)(2)].CH(3)OH.2H(2)O (4), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The magnetic susceptibilities of the three heterometallic complexes have been investigated.  相似文献

Sheet- and column-like cyanide bridged lanthanide-transition metal arrays were synthesized through metathesis reactions between anhydrous LnCl(3) (Ln = Eu, Yb) and A(2)[M(CN)(4)] (A = K(+), NH(4)(+); M = Ni, Pt) in a 1:2 molar ratio in DMF (DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) solution. Single-crystal X-ray analysis revealed that complexes of formula [K(DMF)(7)Ln[M(CN)(4)](2)](infinity) (Ln = Eu, M = Ni, 1; Ln = Yb, M = Pt, 2) consist of infinite layers of neutral, puckered sheets that contain hexagonal rings of composition [(DMF)(10)Ln(2)[M(CN)(4)](3)](6) with interstitial (DMF)(4)K(2)[M(CN)(4)] units located between the layers. The sheet structure is generated through the repeating (DMF)(10)Ln(2)[M(CN)(4)](3) unit with trans cyanide ligands in [M(CN)(4)](2)(-) serving as bridges. The column-like complex [(NH(4))(DMF)(4)Yb[Pt(CN)(4)](2)](infinity), 3, is formed when NH(4)(+) replaces K(+). It consists of infinite, negatively charged, square, parallel columns bundled through N-H...NC hydrogen bonds between NH(4)(+) and terminal CN from the columns. Cis cyanide ligands in [Pt(CN)(4)](2)(-) units serve as bridges. Complex 3 is the first known example where Ln(III) centers are coordinated to four [M(CN)(4)](2)(-) units. Bicapped (square face) trigonal prismatic coordination geometries were observed for Ln(III) centers in 1 and 2. Square antiprismatic geometry for Yb(III) centers are observed in 3. The [Ru(CN)(6)](3-) ion is synthesized in aqueous solution and isolated as [Ph(4)As](3)[Ru(CN)(6)].2H(2)O (1). Compound 1 crystallizes as orange needles in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with cell parameters a = 11.346(2) A, b = 23.107(5) A, c = 25.015(5) A, beta = 99.55(3) degrees, V = 6467.1(22) A(3), Z = 4. The octahedral anion has Ru-C bond lengths in the range 2.023(6)-2.066(6) A. DFT calculations reproduce experimental geometries for [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe, Ru) equally well and yield significantly higher spin densities on the cyanide ligands in [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Ru, Os) than in [Fe(CN)(6)](3-).  相似文献

New heterobimetallic tetranuclear complexes of formula [Fe(III){B(pz)(4)}(CN)(2)(μ-CN)Mn(II)(bpy)(2)](2)(ClO(4))(2)·CH(3)CN (1), [Fe(III){HB(pz)(3)}(CN)(2)(μ-CN)Ni(II)(dmphen)(2)](2)(ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (2a), [Fe(III){B(pz)(4)}(CN)(2)(μ-CN)Ni(II)(dmphen)(2)](2)(ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (2b), [Fe(III){HB(pz)(3)}(CN)(2)(μ-CN)Co(II)(dmphen)(2)](2)(ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (3a), and [Fe(III){B(pz)(4)}(CN)(2)(μ-CN)Co(II)(dmphen)(2)](2)(ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (3b), [HB(pz)(3)(-) = hydrotris(1-pyrazolyl)borate, B(Pz)(4)(-) = tetrakis(1-pyrazolyl)borate, dmphen = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine] have been synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. Complexes 1-3b have been prepared by following a rational route based on the self-assembly of the tricyanometalate precursor fac-[Fe(III)(L)(CN)(3)](-) (L = tridentate anionic ligand) and cationic preformed complexes [M(II)(L')(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) (L' = bidentate α-diimine type ligand), this last species having four blocked coordination sites and two labile ones located in cis positions. The structures of 1-3b consist of cationic tetranuclear Fe(III)(2)M(II)(2) square complexes [M = Mn (1), Ni (2a and 2b), Co (3a and 3b)] where corners are defined by the metal ions and the edges by the Fe-CN-M units. The charge is balanced by free perchlorate anions. The [Fe(L)(CN)(3)](-) complex in 1-3b acts as a ligand through two cyanide groups toward two divalent metal complexes. The magnetic properties of 1-3b have been investigated in the temperature range 2-300 K. A moderately strong antiferromagnetic interaction between the low-spin Fe(III) (S = 1/2) and high-spin Mn(II) (S = 5/2) ions has been found for 1 leading to an S = 4 ground state (J(1) = -6.2 and J(2) = -2.7 cm(-1)), whereas a moderately strong ferromagnetic interaction between the low-spin Fe(III) (S = 1/2) and high-spin Ni(II) (S = 1) and Co(II) (S = 3/2) ions has been found for complexes 2a-3b with S = 3 (2a and 2b) and S = 4 (3a and 3b) ground spin states [J(1) = +21.4 cm(-1) and J(2) = +19.4 cm(-1) (2a); J(1) = +17.0 cm(-1) and J(2) = +12.5 cm(-1) (2b); J(1) = +5.4 cm(-1) and J(2) = +11.1 cm(-1) (3a); J(1) = +8.1 cm(-1) and J(2) = +11.0 cm(-1) (3b)] [the exchange Hamiltonian being of the type H? = -J(S?(i)·S?(j))]. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations have been used to substantiate the nature and magnitude of the exchange magnetic coupling observed in 1-3b and also to analyze the dependence of the exchange magnetic coupling on the structural parameters of the Fe-C-N-M skeleton.  相似文献

Using the tricyano precursor (Bu(4)N)[(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)] (Bu(4)N(+) = tetrabutylammonium cation; Tp = tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate), a pentanuclear heterometallic cluster [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Cu(3)(Me(3)tacn)(3)][(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)](ClO(4))(3)·5H(2)O (1, Me(3)tacn = N,N',N'-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane), three tetranuclear heterometallic clusters [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Cu(2)(L(OEt))(2)]·2.5CH(3)CN (2, L(OEt) = [(Cp)Co(P(O)(OEt)(2))(3)], Cp = cyclopentadiene), [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(2)(L(OEt))(2)]·4H(2)O (3), and [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(2)(phen)(4)](ClO(4))(2) (4, phen = phenanthroline), and a one-dimensional (1D) chain polymer [(Tp)(2)Cr(2)(CN)(6)Mn(bpy)](n) (5, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 shows a trigonal bipyramidal geometry in which [(Tp)Cr(CN)(3)](-) units occupy the apical positions and are linked through cyanide to [Cu(Me(3)tacn)](2+) units situated in the equatorial plane. Complexes 2-4 show similar square structures, where Cr(III) and M(II) (M = Cu(II) or Mn(II)) ions are alternatively located on the rectangle corners. Complex 5 consists of a 4,2-ribbon-like bimetallic chain. Ferromagnetic interactions between Cr(III) and Cu(II) ions bridged by cyanides are observed in complexes 1 and 2. Antiferromagnetic interactions are presented between Cr(III) and Mn(II) ions bridged by cyanides in complexes 3-5. Complex 5 shows metamagnetic behavior with a critical field of about 22.5 kOe at 1.8 K.  相似文献

In aqueous acidic solutions trans-[Ru(VI)(L)(O)(2)](2+) (L=1,12-dimethyl-3,4:9,10-dibenzo-1,12-diaza-5,8-dioxacyclopentadecane) is rapidly reduced by excess NO to give trans-[Ru(L)(NO)(OH)](2+). When ≤1 mol equiv NO is used, the intermediate Ru(IV) species, trans-[Ru(IV)(L)(O)(OH(2))](2+), can be detected. The reaction of [Ru(VI)(L)(O)(2)](2+) with NO is first order with respect to [Ru(VI)] and [NO], k(2)=(4.13±0.21)×10(1) M(-1) s(-1) at 298.0 K. ΔH(≠) and ΔS(≠) are (12.0±0.3) kcal mol(-1) and -(11±1) cal mol(-1) K(-1), respectively. In CH(3)CN, ΔH(≠) and ΔS(≠) have the same values as in H(2)O; this suggests that the mechanism is the same in both solvents. In CH(3)CN, the reaction of [Ru(VI)(L)(O)(2)](2+) with NO produces a blue-green species with λ(max) at approximately 650 nm, which is characteristic of N(2)O(3). N(2)O(3) is formed by coupling of NO(2) with excess NO; it is relatively stable in CH(3)CN, but undergoes rapid hydrolysis in H(2)O. A mechanism that involves oxygen atom transfer from [Ru(VI)(L)(O)(2)](2+) to NO to produce NO(2) is proposed. The kinetics of the reaction of [Ru(IV)(L)(O)(OH(2))](2+) with NO has also been investigated. In this case, the data are consistent with initial one-electron O(-) transfer from Ru(IV) to NO to produce the nitrito species [Ru(III)(L)(ONO)(OH(2))](2+) (k(2)>10(6) M(-1) s(-1)), followed by a reaction with another molecule of NO to give [Ru(L)(NO)(OH)](2+) and NO(2)(-) (k(2)=54.7 M(-1) s(-1)).  相似文献
