It has been shown that any Banach algebra satisfying ‖f 2‖ = ‖f2 has a representation as an algebra of quaternion-valued continuous functions. Whereas some of the classical theory of algebras of continuous complex-valued functions extends immediately to algebras of quaternion-valued functions, similar work has not been done to analyze how the theory of algebras of complex-valued Lipschitz functions extends to algebras of quaternion-valued Lipschitz functions. Denote by Lip(X, \mathbbF\mathbb{F}) the algebra over R of F-valued Lipschitz functions on a compact metric space (X, d), where \mathbbF\mathbb{F} = ℝ, ℂ, or ℍ, the non-commutative division ring of quaternions. In this work, we analyze a class of subalgebras of Lip(X, \mathbbF\mathbb{F}) in which the closure of the weak peak points is the Shilov boundary, and we show that algebras of functions taking values in the quaternions are the most general objects to which the theory of weak peak points extends naturally. This is done by generalizing a classical result for uniform algebras, due to Bishop, which ensures the existence of the Shilov boundary. While the result of Bishop need not hold in general algebras of quaternion-valued Lipschitz functions, we give sufficient conditions on such an algebra for it to hold and to guarantee the existence of the Shilov boundary.  相似文献

A Carnot group is a connected, simply connected, nilpotent Lie group with stratified Lie algebra. We study the notions of intrinsic graphs and of intrinsic Lipschitz graphs within Carnot groups. Intrinsic Lipschitz graphs are the natural local analogue inside Carnot groups of Lipschitz submanifolds in Euclidean spaces, where “natural” emphasizes that the notion depends only on the structure of the algebra. Intrinsic Lipschitz graphs unify different alternative approaches through Lipschitz parameterizations or level sets. We provide both geometric and analytic characterizations and a clarifying relation between these graphs and Rumin’s complex of differential forms.  相似文献

A meson algebra is involved in the Duffin wave equation for mesons in the same way as a Clifford algebra is involved in the Dirac wave equation for electrons. Therefore meson algebras too should have geometrical properties after the manner of Grassmann. Actually it is possible to define interior multiplications with similar properties, and deformations too. Every meson algebra is a deformation of a neutral meson algebra, in the same way as (almost) every Clifford algebra is a deformation of an exterior algebra. Some applications follow: the PBW-property is proved for all meson algebras, the injectiveness of Jacobson’s diagonal morphism is proved with the minimal hypothesis, and the existence of Lipschitz monoids is established at least for meson algebras over fields.   相似文献

This paper explains how, following the representation of 3D crystallographic space groups in Clifford’s geometric algebra, it is further possible to similarly represent the 162 so called subperiodic groups of crystallography in Clifford’s geometric algebra. A new compact geometric algebra group representation symbol is constructed, which allows to read off the complete set of geometric algebra generators. For clarity moreover the chosen generators are stated explicitly. The group symbols are based on the representation of point groups in geometric algebra by versors (Clifford monomials, Lipschitz elements).  相似文献

In this paper we generalize the classical Bernstein theorem concerning the absolute convergence of the Fourier series of Lipschitz functions. More precisely, we consider a group G which is finite dimensional, compact, and separable and has an infinite, closed, totally disconnected, normal subgroup D, such that GD is a Lie group. Using this structure, we define in a natural way the notion of Lipschitz condition, and then prove that a function which satisfies a Lipschitz condition of order greater than (dim G + 1)2 belongs to the Fourier algebra of G.  相似文献

In order to find metric spaces X for which the algebra Lip(X) of bounded Lipschitz functions on X determines the Lipschitz structure of X, we introduce the class of small-determined spaces. We show that this class includes precompact and quasi-convex metric spaces. We obtain several metric characterizations of this property, as well as some other characterizations given in terms of the uniform approximation and the extension of uniformly continuous functions. In particular we show that X is small-determined if and only if every uniformly continuous real function on X can be uniformly approximated by Lipschitz functions.  相似文献

在文山中我们对非线性Lipschitz算子定义了其Lipschitz对偶算子,并证明了任意非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipschitz对偶算子是一个定义在Lipschitz对偶空间上的有界线性算子.本文还进一步证明:设C为 Banach空间 X的闭子集,C*L为C的 Lipschitz对偶空间,U为 C*L上的有界线性算子,则当且仅当 U为 w*-w*连续的同态变换时,存在Lipschitz连续算子T,使U为T的Lipschitz对偶算子.这一结论的理论意义在于:它表明一个非线性Lipschitz算子的可逆性问题可转化为有界线性算子的可逆性问题.作为应用,通过引入一个新概念──PX-对偶算子,在一般框架下给出了非线性算子半群的生成定理.  相似文献

This work is an introduction to anisotropic spaces, which have an ω-weight of analytic functions and are generalizations of Lipshitz classes in the polydisc. We prove that these classes form an algebra and are invariant with respect to monomial multiplication. These classes are described in terms of derivatives. It is established that Toeplitz operators are bounded in these (Lipschitz and Djrbashian) spaces. As an application, a theorem about the division by good-inner functions in the mentioned classes is proved.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local mild solution to the Cauchy problem of the n‐dimensional (n≥3) Wigner–Poisson–BGK equation in the space of some integrable functions whose inverse Fourier transform are integrable. The main difficulties in establishing mild solution are to derive the boundedness and locally Lipschitz properties of the appropriate nonlinear terms in the Wiener algebra. 在计算机辅助设计几何中,变差缩减是一个非常重要的概念,本文分析了函数的变差和Lipschitz常数的关系,指出可以用Lipschitz常数来控制变差,由于变差的概念只限于一维的情形,而Lipschitz常数适用于任意维,这样在高维时就可用Lipschitz常数缩减的概念来代替变差缩减的概念,文中构造性地证明了Lipschitz常数缩减的散乱数据插值函数的存在性,并且对这类函数的性质及光滑性条件进行了讨论.  相似文献
