13C cross-polarization magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) NMR data for 2,2,5,7,8-pentamethylchroman-6-ol (2), 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid (Trolox c) (3) and its acetate (4), 2-methoxy-2,2,5,7,8-pentamethylchroman-6-ol (5), 2-hydroxy-2,2,5,7,8-pentamethylchroman-6-ol (6) and 2,2,5,7,8-pentamethylchroman (7) are reported. A deshielding of 7.7 ppm for the carboxylic carbon was observed in solid Trolox due to formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds within cyclic dimers. Such crystal packing permits effective cross-polarization and fast relaxation (short T1rho(H)). The impact of the proton concentration on the CP dynamics is reflected by the longer T(CP) and T1rhoH for Trolox-d2 (deuterated at mobile proton sites). The calculated GIAO RHF shielding constants are sensitive to intramolecular effects: rotation around the C-6-O bond (changes of sigma up to 8 ppm) and conformation at C-2.  相似文献

Fully hydrated as well as dried benzaldehyde complexes of - and -cyclodextrins were studied by using CP/MAS13C NMR techniques. Variable temperature studies have shown that below 200 K the guest is rigidly held in the complex, whereas at 328 K, only the aromatic ring performs rapid two-fold flips about the C1–C4 axis. In the -Cd complex the benzaldehyde performs more general reorientation. Removal of water causes marked changes in both guest and host spectra, generally consistent with a loss of short-range order and increase in guest motional rate.NRCC No. 27826.  相似文献

50.3 or 75.4 MHz13C NMR cross-polarization/magic angle spinning spectra of human hair, horse hair, horse hoof, parrot feather, sperm whale myoglobin, and horse heart cytochrome C were measured. The spectra of human hair and horse hair indicate nearly equal mole fractions of-sheets and-helices and a low percentage of amorphous regions, whereas horse hoof contains a higher fraction of amorphous proteins. The parrot feathers contain a small-helix fraction (ca. 10±5 %) in additon to a large-sheet fraction whereas cytochrome C contains 70–90%-helices. The spectrum of myoglobin could not interpreted in terms of defined secondary structures. The usefulness of the13C NMR CP/MAS spectroscopy for the characterization of proteins is compared with that of IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

DFT/B3LYP calculations of the ground-state conformation of eight cyclic and acyclic acetals are presented and compared with experimental data. Results of single-point GIAO/DFT calculations at five different levels of theory show that isotropic shieldings need to be empirically scaled to achieve agreement with experimental chemical shifts. Statistical evaluation of data indicates that the most accurate prediction of 13C chemical shifts is achieved at the MPW1PW91/6-311G** level of theory. An empirical equation describing the relationship between delta values and shielding constants is postulated. This equation has been applied to the non-chair ground-state conformation of the six-membered acetonide and to the conformationally flexible benzodioxonine derivative. The agreement observed between the experimental and predicted chemical shifts shows that calculations at the MPW1PW91/6-311G** level of theory are adequate for addressing questions of conformation.  相似文献

The structure and molecular dynamics of the benzaldehyde inclusion-complexes with -and-cyclodextrins and permethylated -cyclodextrin in the solid state have been studied by high-resolution cross-polarization/magic angle sample-spinning13C NMR spectroscopy. It is shown that the guest benzaldehyde molecule undergoes motion in the host cyclodextrin cavity and the rate of motion depend on the cavity size. In the -cyclodextrin complex, compared to -and permethylated -cyclodextrin complexes, the benzaldehyde motion is severely restricted, but under high-vacuum benzaldehyde is released more easily from the cavity.  相似文献

A series of novel menthone oxime ethers were synthesized in three steps starting from (–)-menthol. Analysis of the 13C NMR chemical shift differences between α carbons of oxime derivatives (O-alkyl oximes) provides a convenient and reliable means of assigning oxime stereochemistry. It has been found that carbons syn to the oxime are shifted more upfield than carbons anti to the oxime moiety. Significant E products were obtained.  相似文献

GIAO/HF and DFT methods were utilized to predict the 13C chemical shifts of substituted ketenimines. GIAO HF/6–311+G(2d,p) and B3LYP/6–311+G(2d,p) methods were applied on the optimized B3LYP/6–31G(d) geometries and 13C chemical shifts of Cα and Cβ of substituted ketenimines were correlated with group electronegativities. HF and DFT calculations indicated that increasing substituent group electronegativity leads to increasing chemical shift of Cβ of substituted ketenimines, whereas the Cα values decrease. Experimental 13C solid-state magic-angle spinning (MAS) Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) as well as Density-Functional Theory (DFT) gauge-including projector augmented wave (GIPAW) calculations were used to probe disorder and local mobility in diethylcarbamazine citrate, (DEC)+(citrate). This compound has been used as the first option drug for the treatment of filariasis, a disease endemic in tropical countries and caused by adult worms of Wuchereria bancrofti, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. We firstly present 2D 13C─1H dipolar-coupling-mediated heteronuclear correlation spectra recorded at moderate spinning frequency, to explore the intermolecular interaction between DEC and citrate molecules. Secondly, we investigate the dynamic behavior of (DEC)+(citrate) by varying the temperature and correlating the experimental MAS NMR results with DFT GIPAW calculations that consider two (DEC)+ conformers (in a 70:30 ratio) for crystal structures determined at 293 and 235 K. Solid-state NMR provides insights on slow exchange dynamics revealing conformational changes involving particularly the DEC ethyl groups.  相似文献

Eighteen aliphatic linear amines, from methylamine to stearylamine, have been experimentally studied by NMR and theoretically calculated at the GIAO/B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level. A partial exploration of their conformation has been carried out, mainly to determine the effect on the chemical shifts. In solution and for neutral amines, 15N chemical shifts indicate a mixture of two conformations. In the solid state (CPMAS NMR) only the subset of solid amines has been studied (from C14 to C18). The 15N signals of the corresponding ammonium salts in the solid state depend on the counteranions, Cl and CF3CO2, a result that is theoretically proven.  相似文献

A series of aryl‐substituted enaminoketones and their thio analogues in CDCl3 solution and in the solid state were studied by the use of high‐resolution 1H and 13C as well as 13C cross polarization magic angle spinning (CP MAS) NMR spectra in combination with gauge including atomic orbitals‐density functional theory (GIAO‐DFT) calculations performed at the B3PW91/6–311 + + G(d,p) level of theory using the B3PW91/6‐311 + + G(d,p)‐optimized geometries. The analysis of the 13C NMR spectra in solution was done by using the Incredible Natural Abundance DoublE QUAntum Transfer Experiment (INADEQUATE) technique, whereas trends observed in the 13C shielding constants, calculated for the compounds studied, were a great help in assigning most of the signals in the 13C CP MAS NMR spectra. It was established on the basis of the experimental and theoretical NMR data that both groups of compounds exist in the form of Z‐s‐Z‐s‐E isomers in CDCl3 solution as well as in the solid state, with the NH hydrogen atom involved in intramolecular hydrogen bonding. This conclusion is in agreement with the fact that some of the compounds studied reveal liquid‐crystalline properties. The solid state13C NMR spectra of four13CO enriched carbonyl clusters having a tri-iron metallic core have been analyzed to provide structural and dynamic information. In Fe3(CO)12 (1), the high temperature spectra suggest the occurrence of large amplitude motions of the CO groups around their position at the vertexes of the coordination polyhedron in addition to the motion involving the Fe3-triangle previously detected in the VT-13C MAS spectra.13C and31P NMR data of Fe3(CO)11PPh3 (2) indicates the presence of one molecule in the asymmetric unit in apparent disagreement with the previously reported X-ray data. Furthermore, we show that structural information can be obtained from the chemical shift tensor components readily available from the analysis of the spinning sideband manifold.  相似文献

The conformational properties of some N-alkyl, N,N′-dialky, and tetraalkyloxalamides have been investigated, in vacuo and in solvent using DFT methods at the B3LYP/6-31G∗∗ computational level. Special emphasis has been given on oxalamides with substituents of the type -CH2CH2OH. In oxalamides with the N-H group (N-alkyl and N,N′-dialky), the most stable conformations are those in which the oxalamide moiety adopts a planar s-trans arrangement and the amide bonds are trans. A different situation appears in the case of tetraalkyloxalamides, in which the oxalamide moiety always adopts a skewed arrangement and there are conformations with similar energy. A careful study of 13C and 1H NMR spectra together with theoretical calculations (GIAO method) allowed the assignment of the signals of these conformers. The presence of the -CH2CH2OH chain produces numerous rotamers. The most stable rotamers, in vacuo, are those with strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds, however in solvent, hydrogen bonds are not crucial to establish the most stable specie and depend on the solvent used.  相似文献

The effect ofN-oxidation of a series of polychloropyridines on13C NMR parameters has been studied. It has been established that inN-oxides of polychloropyridines an electric field through-space effect of theN-oxide group predominates in the shielding of the -carbon atom compared to the other carbon atoms. A linear correlation between13C NMR chemical shifts and total charge densities calculated by the MNDO method for the carbon atoms ofN-oxides of polychloropyridines has been found.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Experimental and theoretical 15N and 13C NMR data for the three nitrobenzaldehyde guanylhydrazones are reported. The theoretical data were obtained using sequential molecular dynamics/quantum mechanics methodology for the calculation of flexible molecules in a condensed phase, followed by the use of the GIAO/DFT method with the 6–311G** basis set.
