Electrical properties of Al island films on NaCl substrates are studied. The temperature dependence of the resistance is determined in situ under vacuum conditions for films with various volume fractions q. It has been found that the electrical properties of the film are subject to significant changes near the percolation threshold, when q approaches 0.51. This behaviour is to be attributed to a change in the type of conduction. The temperature coefficient of resistance TCR for the percolation threshold qc is close to zero. For q<qc and q>qc, TCR is smaller than zero or greater than zero, respectively.  相似文献

Within the framework of a random site-diluted Ising model with nearest-neighbor interactions, and using the Metropolis algorithm for equilibration and energy minimization, we have computed the ensemble and configurational averages for magnetization per site, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of Fe0.9−qMn0.1Alq-disordered alloys with 0.1q0.55. In the model, atoms have been randomly distributed on a body-centered cubic lattice in order to simulate the disorder and structure as that obtained in arc-melted Fe0.9−qMn0.1Alq alloys treated at high temperatures during long periods of time and followed by fast quenching. Competitive interactions coming from Fe–Fe ferromagnetic bonds and Fe–Mn and Mn–Mn antiferromagnetic couplings, as well as the Al dilutor effect, have been taken into account in our study. Results allow us to conclude that, in agreement with previous Mössbauer data of the average hyperfine field, for which a comparison is also carried out, the Fe0.9−qMn0.1Alq-disordered alloys are well characterized by a critical concentration at room temperature at around 40 at% Al, for which the system undergoes a transition from a ferromagnetic state to a paramagnetic one. The finite size scaling analysis to obtain the critical Al concentration in the thermodynamic limit, as well as the critical exponents, is also presented and discussed.  相似文献

We study the statistical properties of the scattering matrix S(q|k) for the problem of the scattering of light of frequency ω from a randomly rough one-dimensional surface, defined by the equation x3=ζ(x1), where the surface profile function ζ(x1) constitutes a zero-mean, stationary, Gaussian random process. This is done by studying the effects of S(q|k) on the angular intensity correlation function C(q,k|q',k')=〈I(q|k)I(q'|k')〉-〈I(q|k)〉〈I(q'|k')〉, where the intensity I(q|k) is defined in terms of S(q|k) by I(q|k)=L-11(ω/c)|S(q|k)|2, with L1 the length of the x1 axis covered by the random surface. We focus our attention on the C(1) and C(10) correlation functions, which are the contributions to C(q,k|q',k') proportional to δ(q-k-q'+k') and δ(q-k+q'-k'), respectively. The existence of both of these correlation functions is consistent with the amplitude of the scattered field obeying complex Gaussian statistics in the limit of a long surface and in the presence of weak surface roughness. We show that the deviation of the statistics of the scattering matrix from complex circular Gaussian statistics and the C(10) correlation function are determined by exactly the same statistical moment of S(q|k). As the random surface becomes rougher, the amplitude of the scattered field no longer obeys complex Gaussian statistics but obeys complex circular Gaussian statistics instead. In this case the C(10) correlation function should therefore vanish. This result is confirmed by numerical simulation calculations.  相似文献

We analyse birational mappings generated by transformations on q × q matrices which correspond respectively to two kinds of transformations: the matrix inversion and a permutation of the entries of the q × q matrix. Remarkable factorization properties emerge for quite general involutive permutations.

It is shown that factorization properties do exist, even for birational transformations associated with noninvolutive permutations of entries of q × q matrices, and even for more general transformation which are rational transformations but no longer birational. The existence of factorization relations independent of q, the size of the matrices, is underlined.

The relations between the polynomial growth of the complexity of the iterations, the existence of recursions in a single variable and the integrability of the mappings, are sketched for the permutations yielding these properties.

All these results show that permutations of the entries of the matrix yielding factorization properties are not so rare. In contrast, the occurrence of recursions in a single variable, or of the polynomial growth of the complexity are, of course, less frequent but not completely exceptional.  相似文献

It is proved that the binding energy, radius and chemical potential of the N-electron Thomas-Fermi atom with the nuclear charge Z in a strong magnetic field at q = 1 − N/Z 1 may be expressed as a power series in q1/3 and In q. The exact values of the first expansion coefficients are found. A comparison with numerical data shows these expansions to be applicable up to q = 0.2.  相似文献

The change in the specific heat and spin susceptibility of a metal of valence Z due to the introduction of a small number of impurity atoms with valence (Z + q) is calculated by the Thomas-Fermi method. It is shown that in the case of copper an exact Thomas-Fermi calculation accounts approximately for the seemingly linear behaviour of the change in Cv and X from q = 1 to q = 3 observed in recent experiments by Rayne. It does not, however, account for absolute values. In an appendix a check on the validity of the Thomas-Fermi theory is made for q < 1 by recalculating the specific heat and spin susceptibility by means of the techniques of many-body perturbation theory. Phase slippage is required at the current electrodes of quasi-one-dimensional conductors with a charge density wave (CDW) ground state for the conversion from free to condensed carriers. We have performed at the ESRF high-resolution X-ray measurements of the spatially varying shift q(x) of the CDW satellite wave vector between current contacts on a thin NbSe3 whisker in the sliding state. Applying direct currents, we observe at 90 K a steep exponential decrease of the shift within a few hundred microns from the contact. The CDW strain profile q(x) reflects the carrier conversion process, via nucleation and growth of phase-dislocation loops. Pulsed current measurements of the shift q show important differences between pulsed and dc current data, revealing a spatially dependent relaxational behaviour of the CDW strain. Using time-resolved high spatial resolution X-ray we observe at 300 μm from the electrode a stretched exponential-type decay of the shift q(t) upon switching off the current (T=75 K): q(t)=q0[exp(−t/τ)μ] with τ=23 ms and μ=0.36.  相似文献

Within a real-space renormalization-group framework, we approach the cubic lattice through a D = 3 diamond-like hierarchical lattice. The model is a standard, nearest-neighbor, Ising spin glass with coupling constants {Jij} distributed according to the family of continuous probability distributions Pq(Jij) ∝ 1/[1 + (q − 1)Jij2/2J2]1/(q − 1) (if 1 + (q − 1) Jij2/2J2 > 0, and zero otherwise; q ). Such distributions, which arise naturally in the treatment, within the recently proposed nonextensive thermostatistics, of anomalous diffusion, reproduce the usual, Gaussian case, for q → 1. Moreover, they present a second moment Jij2 proportional to (5 − 3q)−1 for q < 5/3, diverging for q ≥ 5/3, but keeping a finite width at midheight. In the limit q → 3, Pq(Jij) collapses with the abscissa, and so the width at midheight diverges. We compute the q-dependence of the spin-glass critical temperature Tc. We show numerically that Tc does not scale with Jij21/2 (contrary to the usual belief), but rather with the width at midheight of Pq(Jij). Our results suggest that Tc vanishes as −1/q when q → −∞; furthermore, we verified that Tc diverges exponentially when q approaches 3 from below.  相似文献

Helicon waves are found useful for studying Landau damping in degenerate plasmas. The damping is analyzed as the phase velocity of the wave is increased from ω/q vF to ω/q vF. There is no first-orderlike transition at ω/q = VF. In the collisionless limit, the damping tends to zero as ω/qvF. For finite collision times τ it does not vanish for ω/q > vF. Nonlocal corrections to the wavelength exhibit a peak at ω/q = VF, which degenerates into a shoulder for ωτ 100.  相似文献

The classical Hamiltonian H = p2/2m + ε(q2/2)Σδ[s-(t/T)] has an integrable mapping of the plane, [qn+1, pn+1]= [qn+1+pn, qn+2pn], as its equations of motion. But then by introducing periodic boundary conditions via (mod 1) applied to both q and p variables, the equations of motion become the Arnol'd cat map, [qn+1, pn+1] = [qn + pn, qn + 2pn], (mod 1), revealing it to be one of the simplest fully chaotic systems which can be derived from a Hamiltonian and analyzed. Consequently, we here quantize the Arnol'd cat and examine its quantum motion for signs of chaos using algorithmic complexity as the litmus. Our analysis reveals that the quantum cat is not chaotic in the deep quantum domain nor does it become chaotic in the classical limit as required by the correspondence principle. We therefore conclude that the correspondence principle, as defined herein, fails for the quantum Arnol'd cat.  相似文献

The present paper studies ductile fracture by a random fractal and calculates the fracture probability q of a ductile fracture. The fracture probability q is sensitive to the number n (microvoid size) and the probability p of forming microvoids. There are two critical probabilities pc1 and pc2. When ppc2 = 1-1/n2, the fracture probability q is 100%, the ductile fracture occurs with probability 1; when pc2 > p>pc1, there is a positive probability q (1>q>0), the fracture probability q increases with increasing probability p and/or decreasing number n; when p<pc1, the fracture probability q is zero (in fact less than 0.00001), the fracture does not occur. The critical probabilities pc1 and pc2 increase with increasing n. When 1-1/n2>p>1-1/n, though a ductile fracture does not occur, there is at least a macrovoid which passes through the transverse plane of the specimen.  相似文献

The dimensionally regularized massless non-planar double box Feynman diagram with powers of propagators equal to one, one leg off the mass shell, i.e., with p12=q2≠0, and three legs on shell, pi2=0, i=2,3,4, is analytically calculated for general values of q2 and the Mandelstam variables s,t and u (not necessarily restricted by the physical condition s+t+u=q2). An explicit result is expressed through (generalized) polylogarithms, up to the fourth order, dependent on rational combinations of q2,s,t and u, and simple finite two- and three-fold Mellin–Barnes integrals of products of gamma functions which are easily numerically evaluated for arbitrary non-zero values of the arguments.  相似文献

The properties of the charge fluctuation are investigated in the d---p model with the repulsion Upd between holes on the nearest-neighbor Cu and O sites and the infinite on-site repulsion Ud at the Cu site. We calculate the charge susceptibility χc(q, iωn) and the charge correlation function Sc(q) = TΣωn χc(q, iωn). It is found that Sc(q) has a peak at the Γ point and a maximum in a ring around the Γ point. The former is due to Tχc(q, 0). Its intensity is proportional to temperature T and strongly enhanced by Upd. The latter is due to TΣωn ≠ 0 χc(q, iωn) and shows a weak T and Upd dependence. The intensity of the diffuse X-ray scattering on taking the charge fluctuation into account is also calculated. The result is consistent with the experiments in La2−δSrδCuO4.  相似文献

The magnetic ordering of the orthorhombic compound CeSi (Pama space group, FeB type of structure, Z = 4) Tn = 5.6 K was investigated by means of powder neutron diffraction in the temperatures 1.5 and 10 K. Our results show that the magnetic ordering is associated with a three dimensionally amplitude-modulated phase which is incommensurate with the crystal lattice with wave vector q = (qχ,qy,qz). The ordered Ce3+ moments are confined to the plane (a,b) at an angle of 16.7° with the b direction. It follows from the present data analysis that the dominant wave vector component is qz, which approximately corresponds to a transversal modulation, however the incommensurateness involves also the qx and qy components. The amplitude of the sine wave is μ0j = 1.667μB at 1.5 K which corresponds to quite a reduced ordered moment value compared to the Ce3+ free ion value gJ = 2.14μB.  相似文献

The effect of nonextensivity of self-gravitating systems on the Jeans' criterion for gravitational instability is studied in the framework of Tsallis statistics. The nonextensivity is introduced in the Jeans problem by a generalized q-nonextensive velocity distribution function through the equation of state of ideal gas in nonextensive kinetic theory. A new Jeans' criterion is deduced with a factor that, however, differs from that one in [Astron. Astrophys. 396 (2002) 309] and new results of gravitational instability are analyzed for the nonextensive parameter q. An understanding of physical meaning of q and a possible seismic observation to find astronomical evidence for a value of q different from unity are also discussed.  相似文献

多重分形降趋波动分析法(MFDFA)和多重分形降趋移动平均法(MFDMA)是用来估算一维随机分形信号多重分形谱的两种算法, 已被拓展应用于二维和高维分形信号的分析. 本文简要介绍了MFDFA和MFDMA算法及其在一维时间序列中的应用. 首次系统地从算法模型、计算统计精度、样本量的敏感性、无标度区选取的敏感性、矩选择的敏感性和计算量这六个方面对两种算法进行了对比分析, 以典型多重分形信号BMC信号为例, 分析两种算法的适用性和优劣性. 为实际应用中, 针对具体信号如何选用MFDFA或MFDMA算法, 以及两种算法的参数设置提供了有价值的参考.  相似文献

Dynamic susceptibility and spin waves in nickel thin films are investigated within the framework of the multiband model. Parameters of the model are chosen in such a way that one-electron ground-state results consistent with ab initio theories are obtained. The dispersion relation for spin waves which propagate in the plane parallel to the surface along the [1 0] and [1 1] directions is calculated. Acoustic surface mode is observed up to the Brillouin zone boundary for wave vector q along the [1 1] direction and localization of the mode in the surface layer gradually increases with increasing q. On the other hand, for q in the [1 0] direction acoustic surface mode appears only for low q values and it disappears in the band of bulk modes for greater values of q. Near the zone boundary only bulk modes are observed. It is suggested that the disappearance of the surface mode can be a result of crossing of spin-wave branches.  相似文献
