The goal of this paper is to show that if a smooth fiber bundle has a compact Lie group as a structure group, then the transfer map for the algebraic K-theory of spaces satisfies analogs of the Mackey double coset formula and Feshbach's sum formula. Any oriented 4-dimensional real vector bundle is naturally a line bundle over a bundle of quaternion algebras. In this paper we give an account of modules over bundles of quaternion algebras, discussing Morita equivalence, characteristic classes and K-theory. The results have been used to describe obstructions for the existence of almost quaternionic structures on 8-dimensional Spinc manifolds in ?adek et al. (2008) [5] and may be of some interest, also, in quaternionic and algebraic geometry.  相似文献

We will show that an uniform treatment yields Wiener–Tauberian type results for various Banach algebras and modules consisting of radial sections of some homogenous vector bundles on rank one Riemannian symmetric spaces G/K of noncompact type. One example of such a vector bundle is the spinor bundle. The algebras and modules we consider are natural generalizations of the commutative Banach algebra of integrable radial functions on G/K. The first set of them are Beurling algebras with analytic weights, while the second set arises due to Kunze–Stein phenomenon for noncompact semisimple Lie groups.  相似文献

Abstract

We investigate relative connections on a sheaf of modules. A sufficient condition is given for the existence of a relative holomorphic connection on a holomorphic vector bundle over a complex analytic family. We show that the relative Chern classes of a holomorphic vector bundle admitting relative holomorphic connection vanish, if each of the fiber of the complex analytic family is compact and Kähler.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of the syzygies of a smooth projective variety as the positivity of the embedding line bundle grows. The main result asserts that the syzygy modules are non-zero in almost all degrees allowed by Castelnuovo?CMumford regularity. We also give an effective statement for Veronese varieties that we conjecture to be optimal.  相似文献

We show that each exceptional vector bundle on a weighted projective line in the sense of Geigle and Lenzing can be obtained by Schofield induction from exceptional sheaves of rank one and zero. We develop a bundle picture for singular symplectic quotients of cotangent bundles acted upon by cotangent lifted actions for the case that the configuration manifold is of single orbit type. Furthermore, we give a formula for the reduced symplectic form in this setting. As an application of this bundle picture we consider Calogero–Moser systems with spin associated to polar representations of compact Lie groups.  相似文献

Using the Berline-Vergne integration formula for equivariant cohomology for torus actions, we prove that integrals over Grassmannians (classical, Lagrangian or orthogonal ones) of characteristic classes of the tautological bundle can be expressed as iterated residues at infinity of some holomorphic functions of several variables. The results obtained for these cases can be expressed as special cases of one formula involving the Weyl group action on the characters of the natural representation of the torus.  相似文献

For a split reductive algebraic group, this paper observes a homological interpretation for Weyl module multiplicities in Jantzen's sum formula. This interpretation involves an Euler characteristic χ built from Ext groups between integral Weyl modules. The new interpretation makes transparent for GLn (and conceivable for other classical groups) a certain invariance of Jantzen's sum formula under "Howe duality" in the sense of Adamovich and Rybnikov. For GLn a simple and explicit general formula is derived for χ between an arbitrary pair of integral Weyl modules. In light of Brenti's work on certain R-polynomials, this formula raises interesting questions about the possibility of relating Ext groups between Weyl modules to Kazhdan-Lusztig combinatorics.  相似文献

In this article, we study various homological invariants of differential graded (DG for short) modules over a connected DG algebra following Frankild–Jørgensen. Two different versions of homological dimensions (resolutional and functorial) are defined. In some cases, they are proved to be simply the bound of the cohomology of the DG module. Some homological identities, such as Auslander–Buchsbaum formula and Bass formula, are proved for compact DG modules over a connected DG algebra.  相似文献

We show that the Atiyah–Hirzebruch K-theory of spaces admits a canonical generalization for stratified spaces. For this we study algebraic constructions on stratified vector bundles. In particular the tangent bundle of a stratified manifold is such a stratified vector bundle.  相似文献

From character relations for symmetric groups or Hecke algebras such as the Murnaghan–Nakayama formula and the Jantzen–Schaper formula, we obtain a lower bound for the diagonal entries of Cartan matrices. Moreover, we prove an analogous character relation for covering groups of symmetric groups and obtain a similar lower bound. As an application, we show in these situations that for wild blocks simple modules must lie at the end of the Auslander–Reiten quiver, which is equivalent to the fact that the hearts of projective indecomposable modules are indecomposable.  相似文献

The setting is the representation theory of a simply connected, semisimple algebraic group over a field of positive characteristic. There is a natural transformation from the wall-crossing functor to the identity functor. The kernel of this transformation is a left exact functor. This functor and its first derived functor are evaluated on the global sections of a line bundle on the flag variety. It is conjectured that the derived functors of order greater than one annihilate the global sections. Also, the principal indecomposable modules for the Frobenius subgroups are shown to be acyclic.  相似文献

LetG be the discrete group of orientation preserving diffeomorphisms of the circle. An explicit simplicial formula on the level of the bar construction is given for the Euler Class of a circle bundle with structure groupG. An upper bound for the Euler Class is obtained which, when the base space of the bundle is a closed orientable surface, reduces to that of J. Wood.
