A class of high-order kinetic flux vector splitting schemes are presented for solving ideal quantum gas dynamics based on quantum statistical mechanics. The collisionless quantum Boltzmann equation approach is adopted and both Bose–Einstein and Fermi–Dirac gases are considered. The formulas for the split flux vectors are derived based on the general three-dimensional distribution function in velocity space and formulas for lower dimensions can be directly deduced. General curvilinear coordinates are introduced to treat practical problems with general geometry. High-order accurate schemes using weighted essentially non-oscillatory methods are implemented. The resulting high resolution kinetic flux splitting schemes are tested for 1D shock tube flows and shock wave diffraction by a 2D wedge and by a circular cylinder in ideal quantum gases. Excellent results have been obtained for all examples computed.  相似文献

We show that plane-fronted gravitational waves induce the breaking of parallelograms in space-time, in the context of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity. The breaking of parallelograms can be shown by considering a thought experiment that consists of a simple physical configuration, similar to the experimental setup that is expected to lead to the measurement of gravitational waves with the use of laser interferometers. An incident beam of light splits into two beams running along perpendicular arms, endowed with fixed mirrors at the extremes. The reflected light beams are detected at the same point of the splitting. Along each arm, the two light beams define two null vectors: the forward vector and the reflected vector. We show that the sum of these four vectors, the forward and reflected null vectors along the two arms, do form a parallelogram in flat space-time, but not in the presence of plane-fronted gravitational waves. The non-closure of the parallelogram is a manifestation of the torsion of the space-time, and in this context indicates the existence of gravitational waves.  相似文献

本文以完整的矢量衍射理论分析了光盘光学系统。首先将入射的聚焦光束分解为平面波谱 ,得到每个平面波的振幅矢量 ;然后计算光盘对每个平面波的衍射 ,得到衍射波的振幅矢量 ,从而得到了整个衍射波场的空间频谱 ;最后计算物镜光瞳上的能通量 ,得到光盘系统的读出信号。在衍射计算中 ,光盘被定义为二维金属光栅 ,根据信息符的不同模型 ,选用坐标变换方法、耦合波方法或模态方法。对于典型的 DVD光学系统来说 ,矢量理论的结论与标量理论相差甚远 ,要得到正确的结果就必须采用矢量衍射理论  相似文献

In this paper a Lax-Wendroff type scheme with predictor-corrector is presented for solving the hyperbolic equations of fluid flow. The predictor solutions without introducing nonphysical oscillation are obtained by the method of flux vector splitting. The numerical flux of the corrector step is an anti-diffusive term, on which contraints are imposed to decrease the oscillation. Numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the performance of our proposed scheme.  相似文献

Dipole-dipole interactions between distant paramagnetic centers (PCs) where at least one PC has spinS>1/2 are examined. The results provide a basis for the application of pulsed electron-electron double resonance method to the measurement of distances between PCs involving high-spin species. A projection operator technique based on spectral decomposition of the secular Hamiltonian is used to calculate electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) line splitting caused by the dipole coupling. This allows calculation of operators projecting an arbitrary wave function onto high-spin PC eigenstates when the eigenvectors of the Hamiltonian are not known. The effective spin vectors — that is, the expectation values for vector spin operators in the PC eigenstates — are calculated. The dependence of these effective spin vectors on the external magnetic field is calculated. There is a qualitative difference between pairs having at least one integer spin (non-Kramers PC) and pairs of two half-integer (Kramers PC) spins. With the help of these effective spin vectors, the dipolar line shape of EPR lines is calculated. Analytical relations are obtained for PCs with spinS=1/2 and 1. The dependence of Pake patterns on variations of zero-field splitting, Zeeman energy, temperature and dipolar coupling are illustrated.  相似文献

在一个单步格式的基础上构造了一个新的隐式系数矩阵分裂法来数值求解可压Navier-St-okes方程。对方程中的无粘项部分利用守恒型方程中流通量向量为一齐次函数这一特性,根据Jacobian矩阵特征值的符号而将流通向量分裂成两部分。在此基础上据风向而构造逼近于无粘项的差分格式。对方程中的粘性项部分利用算子附加修正的方法来改进计算的收敛过程。所建立的差分格式被用来数值求解Couette流以考查这一方法。  相似文献

The sedimentation of a polydisperse suspension of small rigid spheres of the same density, but which belong to a finite number of species (size classes), can be described by a spatially one-dimensional system of first-order, nonlinear, strongly coupled conservation laws. The unknowns are the volume fractions (concentrations) of each species as functions of depth and time. Typical solutions, e.g. for batch settling in a column, include discontinuities (kinematic shocks) separating areas of different composition. The accurate numerical approximation of these solutions is a challenge since closed-form eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the flux Jacobian are usually not available, and the characteristic fields are neither genuinely nonlinear nor linearly degenerate. However, the flux vectors associated with the widely used models by Masliyah, Lockett and Bassoon (MLB model) and Höfler and Schwarzer (HS model) give rise to Jacobians that are low-rank perturbations of a diagonal matrix. This property allows to apply a convenient hyperbolicity criterion that has become known as the “secular equation” [J. Anderson, A secular equation for the eigenvalues of a diagonal matrix perturbation, Lin. Alg. Appl. 246 (1996) 49–70]. This criterion was recently applied [R. Bürger, R. Donat, P. Mulet, C.A. Vega, Hyperbolicity analysis of polydisperse sedimentation models via a secular equation for the flux Jacobian, SIAM J. Appl. Math. 70 (2010) 2186–2213] to prove that the MLB and HS models are strictly hyperbolic under easily verifiable conditions, that their eigenvalues interlace with the velocities of the species that form the flux vector (so the velocities are good starting values for a root finder), and that the corresponding eigenvectors can be calculated with acceptable effort. In the present work, the newly available characteristic information is exploited for the implementation of characteristic-wise (spectral) weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes for the MLB and HS models. Numerical examples illustrate that WENO schemes which use this spectral information are superior in resolution, and even in efficiency for the same overall resolution, to component-wise WENO schemes.  相似文献

We investigate the diffraction properties of multiple-superimposed index gratings from a vector synthetic viewpoint using coupled wave analysis with Bragg and non-Bragg readout. The vector synthetic gratings consist of two volume-index gratings with different grating wave vectors, which can be obtained in photorefractive materials, in optical fibers or in Bragg cells with two driving acoustic waves. This structure can realize beam splitting, beam combining, and beam cross coupling, etc. Analytic expressions for the diffraction efficiency as well as the amplitude of the waves involved are obtained. 基于D1Q4可压缩格子Boltzmann模型,按照流通矢量分裂方法的思路,采用坐标旋转技术构造求解三维带化学反应Navier-Stokes方程对流通量求解器.结合有限体积法求解三维化学非平衡流Navier-Stokes方程,采用时间算子分裂算法解决化学反应刚性问题,数值模拟超声速化学非平衡流的三个经典算例.数值结果表明:在高马赫数下,采用D1Q4可压缩格子Boltzmann模型构造的三维对流通量求解器数值模拟中没有出现非物理解,同时在超声速化学非平衡流场中正确分辨激波、燃烧波等物理现象,精度和分辨率均较高,验证了本文构造的三维对流通量求解器的可靠性,拓宽了D1Q4可压缩格子Boltzmann模型的应用范围,为计算超声速化学非平衡流提供一种新方法.  相似文献

We calculate exactly the time dependent density profile of a one-dimensional stochastic reaction-diffusion process of hard-core particles subjected to the reactions AA <--> OO and AO <--> OA. The solution is based on the fundamental property that the evolution operator, defined over an appropriate vector space, transforms vectors with n kinks into vectors with n or n+2 kinks, only. In this space, a basis vector is represented by a string of plus and minus signs and a kink is defined as a pair of opposite signs. The exact time dependent profiles are calculated for the cases of uncorrelated initial states that are translational invariant as well as initial states that are inhomogeneous in space.  相似文献

While the Lorentzian and Riemannian metrics for which all polynomial scalar curvature invariants vanish (the VSI property) are well-studied, less is known about the four-dimensional neutral signature metrics with the VSI property. Recently it was shown that the neutral signature metrics belong to two distinct subclasses: the Walker and Kundt metrics. In this paper we have chosen an example from each of the two subcases of the Ricci-flat VSI Walker metrics respectively.To investigate the difference between the metrics we determine the existence of a null, geodesic, expansion-free, shear-free and vorticity-free vector, and classify these spaces using their holonomy algebras. The geometric implications of these algebras are further studied by identifying the recurrent or covariantly constant null vectors, whose existence is required by the holonomy structure in each example. We conclude the paper with a simple example of the equivalence algorithm for these pseudo-Riemannian manifolds, which is the only approach to classification that provides all necessary information to determine equivalence.  相似文献

The property of matter-wave vector solitons in a spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate with spin-orbit and Zeeman couplings is investigated by multiscale perturbation method. The excitation spectrum and the corresponding state vectors of the system are obtained analytically, and they can be adjusted by the parameters of the system. The bright and dark vector solitons are formulated by reducing the three-component coupled Gross-Pitaeviskii equations to a standard nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which has the solutions of the bright and dark solitons with positive or negative mass depending on the product of the effective dispersive and nonlinear coefficients. The moving vector solitons are demonstrated by adjusting specific momentum near the energy minimum. Finally, the magnetized features of the vector solitons are discussed by the spin polarization of the system.  相似文献

采用多块对接网格技术和时域有限体积法(FVTD)研究了典型目标和多体的电磁场散射问题.控制方程采用三维一般曲线坐标系下的时变麦克斯韦方程组.时间方向采用四步Runge-Kutta方法,空间离散采用基于通量雅可比矩阵特征结构的通矢量差分分裂,依赖变量采用MUSCL插值.时间方向的计算精度为2阶,空间方向的计算精度可达3阶.典型算例的雷达散射截面(RCS)的计算结果与理论解吻合很好.对于多体问题计算与文献结果相当一致,说明该算法具有对复杂拓扑结构外形(包括多体问题)进行数值模拟的能力.  相似文献

Starting from the gas-kinetic model, a new class of relaxation schemes for the Euler equations is presented. In contrast to the Riemann solver, these schemes provide a multidimensional dynamical gas evolution model, which combines both Lax-Wendroff and kinetic flux vector splitting schemes, and their coupling is based on the fact that a nonequilibrium state will evolve into an equilibrium state along with the increase of entropy. The numerical fluxes are constructed without getting into the details of the particle collisions. The results for many well-defined test cases are presented to indicate the robustness and accuracy of the current scheme.  相似文献

The consequences about the observables in the Yang-Mills theory are summarized and a conclusion is drawn that the theory provides colour confinement on the assumption that every physical state vector can be approximated by localized physical state vectors. In this formalism, a theorem is proved asserting the failure of the cluster property for local non-observable operators contained in a composite local observable. This failure of the cluster property means the mutual strong correlation of unphysical particles separated far away and implies non-applicability of the behind-the-moon argument (usually placed against a confinement) to the present situation.  相似文献

We consider entropy solutions to the initial value problem associated with scalar nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws posed on the two-dimensional sphere. We propose a finite volume scheme which relies on a web-like mesh made of segments of longitude and latitude lines. The structure of the mesh allows for a discrete version of a natural geometric compatibility condition, which arose earlier in the well-posedness theory established by Ben-Artzi and LeFloch. We study here several classes of flux vectors which define the conservation law under consideration. They are based on prescribing a suitable vector field in the Euclidean three-dimensional space and then suitably projecting it on the sphere’s tangent plane; even when the flux vector in the ambient space is constant, the corresponding flux vector is a non-trivial vector field on the sphere. In particular, we construct here “equatorial periodic solutions”, analogous to one-dimensional periodic solutions to one-dimensional conservation laws, as well as a wide variety of stationary (steady state) solutions. We also construct “confined solutions”, which are time-dependent solutions supported in an arbitrarily specified subdomain of the sphere. Finally, representative numerical examples and test cases are presented.  相似文献
