Neutron-induced fission cross sections for 242,243Cm and 241Am have been obtained with the surrogate reaction method. Recent results for the neutron-induced cross section of 243Cm are questioned by the present data. For the first time, the 242Cm cross section has been determined up to the onset of second-chance fission. The good agreement at the lowest excitation energies between the present results and the existing neutron-induced data indicates that the distributions in spin and parity of states populated with both techniques are similar. 相似文献

Recent experimental results concerning interaction cross-sections ( σI) are reviewed. The σI values were measured by a transmission method using the fragment separator at GSI. The σI values for B, C, N, O and F isotopes and the recently measured σI for Ar are presented. As related topics, an analysis by the recently developed Glauber model for a few-body system is introduced.
By using this analysis, the effective density distributions for light neutron-rich nuclei can be deduced. The recently shown
magic number N = 16 near to the neutron drip line is also discussed.

High-resolution vacuum ultraviolet carbon dioxide photoabsorption cross sections are required for modeling airglow emissions from the Martian and Venusian atmospheres and for photochemical models of those atmospheres. We report cross section measurements on CO2 at 295 and 195 K between 106.1 and 118.7 nm at a spectral resolution of 0.005 nm. Significant deviations from the results of previous, lower-resolution measurements are apparent, particularly in regions of sharp spectral structure. Temperature dependence in the photoabsorption cross sections is evident throughout the region, being especially pronounced at wavelengths greater than 113 nm. 相似文献

The product angular momentum polarization of the reaction of H+NH is calculated via the quasiclassical trajectory method (QCT)
based on the extended London-Eyring-Polanyi-Sato (LEPS) potential energy surface (PES) at a collision energy of 5.1 kcal/mol.
The calculated results of the vector correlations are denoted by using the angular distribution functions. The polarization-dependent
differential cross sections (PDDCSs) demonstrate that the rotational angular momentum of the product H2 is aligned and oriented
along the direction perpendicular to the scattering plane. Vector correlation shows that the angular momentum of the product
H2 is aligned in the plane perpendicular to the velocity vector. It suggests that the reaction proceeds preferentially when
the reactant velocity vector lies in a plane containing all three atoms. The orientation and alignment of the product angular
momentum affects the scattering direction of the product molecules. The polarization-dependent differential cross sections
(PDDCSs) reveal that scattering is predominantly in the backward hemisphere.

We investigate the charge changing collisions for 16O and 32S beams at 3.65 GeV/n on several targets, by using Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTD). Track measurements were performed by an automatic measurement system. We determined the total charge changing cross sections and the elemental cross sections for the production of fragments of charge 9 ≤ Z ≤ 14. A two-step reaction scheme for the production of extremely neutron-rich radioactive beams, fission followed by cold fragmentation,
is considered. The cross-sections of the second step, the cold fragmentation of neutron-rich fission fragments, are estimated
with different computer codes. Discrepancies between an empirical systematics and nuclear-reaction codes are found.

Cross-sections of the nuclear reactions27Al(n, p)27Mg,30Si(n, α)27Mg,52Cr(n, p)52V,53Cr(n, p)53V,54Cr(n, p)54V,54Cr(n, α)51Ti and120Sn(n, α)117Cd at 14.7 Mev neutrons were measured using56Fe(n, p)56Mn and27Al(n, α)24Na as monitor reactions. For comparison, theoretical values of the cross-section for these reactions were also obtained through
different approaches of compound nucleus theory and computer code Alice. Accuracies achieved in the present measured values

We study the reaction cross sections(σR) and root-mean-square(RMS) radii of 8Li and 8B,the halo-like nuclei,with stable target 12C,27Al and 9Be within the standard optical-limit Glauber model,using densities obtained from relativistic mean-field(RMF) formalisms and other types of distributions.It is found that the experimental σR can be reproduced well at high energy.The RMS radius and △r extracted by RMFtheory and harmonic oscillator distribution are compared.We find that the RMS radius and △r of 8B are larger than those of 8Li.In addition,we analyze in detail the relationship between σR and density distribution. 相似文献

To estimate the probability of two-neutron
configurations in halo nuclei, we propose an experimental method
of studying neutron-neutron correlations at periphery of such
nuclei by measuring two-neutron transfer reaction. The
experimental study of 6He + A ↦ 4He + B for various targets
is performed using 6He beam of Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear
Reactions (JINR, Dubna) at energy of about 15 MeV/u and technique
of nuclear photoemulsions. Searching for events of two-nucleon

We have measured the total and partial charge-changing cross-sections (Z=5) after the passage of a 110 MeV/u 12C beam through an assembly consisting of CR-39 thin detectors and paraffin targets. These experimental cross-sections were compared to the predictions of known models. It was found that the measured total cross-sections agree with the model calculations to within about 8% or even less, while, depending on a model, discrepancies of up to a factor 1.2 higher and up to a factor 2.7 lower values of cross-sections for the production of fragment with Z=5 were observed. 相似文献

Subpicosecond lifetimes of high spin states in the rotational nuclei 73Se, 74Se and 74Br have been measured using the 58Ni +19F compound reaction and the Doppler Shift Attenuation method. Six EUROBALL Cluster detectors arranged in cube geometry allowed
us to select the relevant transitions in γγ coincidence mode. The high counting statistics achieved in this setup also facilitated
the determination of average sidefeeding times, which were found to agree rather well with the results of Monte-Carlo calculations
of the particle and γ-ray evaporation process. The deduced quadrupole strengths and deformations are compared with the results
of previous measurements and the predictions of Cranked Shell Model calculations. In 74Br, a large and constant prolate deformation of β2= 0.37(1) was found for the presumed 4+ and 3− two-quasiparticle bands.

Total cross section measurements for the 102Pd(p, γ)103Ag and 116Sn(p, γ)117Sb reactions have been performed in the proton energy range 2.6 to 4.25 MeV, and for the 112Sn(α, γ)116Te reaction over the alpha beam energy range 7.0 to 10.5 MeV. An activation technique was used in which gamma rays from decays of the reaction products were detected off-line by two hyper-pure germanium detectors in a low background environment. Where possible, reaction rates are derived and the results compared to those of calculations generated by the NON-SMOKER and the MOST statistical model codes so as to judge their applicability for describing the cross sections needed for network calculations of nucleosynthesis in explosive astrophysical environments via the γ- and rp-processes. 相似文献

In this paper, a fast method is proposed to estimate the sonar cross section of acoustically large and complex underwater targets such as submarines and torpedoes. The proposed method is based on a deterministic scattering center model which constructs scattering center database by using a combining method of physical optics and geometric optics and then reconstructs sonar cross section patterns from that database with a polynomial interpolation with respect to the incident angle. The parametric studies to find appropriate intervals of the reference incident angle are systematically carried out for simple targets such as a flat square plate and an orthogonal dihedral. Moreover, to validate the proposed method, sonar cross sections of real-like targets such as a pressure hull and an idealized submarine are calculated. The comparisons show that the results by the proposed method are in good agreement with those by the direct calculation. 相似文献

The Langevin equation including particle emission was used to reproduce the recently measured spin distribution of evaporation residue cross sections in the reaction 16O+184W at beam energies of 84, 92,100, 108, 116 and 120 MeV. By comparing the theoretical calculations with the experimental data, the validity of the stochastic approach to dissipative fission is verified. Moreover, a pre-saddle nuclear viscosity coefficient of 5 x 1021 S-1 is extracted. 相似文献

We present the development of a holographic interferometer that uses a photorefractive crystal of the sillenite family as
holographic recording medium. The aim of this work is to achieve a transportable and breadboard instrument, with a flexible
design and which is user friendly for the quantified measurements of displacements on large scattering objects. The state
of the art of the use of photorefractive crystals in holographic interferometry is presented. Based on the latter, a method
that is the best suited to our mentioned objectives is chosen: the real-time interferometric technique associated with the
crystal configuration exhibiting diffraction anisotropy. On this basis, we have studied and compared two imaging systems,
we have experimentally determined the holographic figures of merit of three sillenite crystals samples, and, finally, we have
shown the use of two measurement quantification methods. The result of these investigations is a certified and transportable
holographic camera prototype containing all the necessary equipment for its operation, which can be easily adapted to various
applications. Among these, we show its use in the detection of defects in composite structures, in the measurement of time-evolving
deformations, and in the measurement of vibration modes.

A stochastic analysis of the spatial and temporal structures in the Prigogine-Lefever-Nicolis model (the Brusselator) is presented. The analysis is carried out through a Langevin equation derived from a multivariate master equation using the Poisson representation method, which is used to calculate the spatial correlation functions and the fluctuation spectra in the Gaussian approximation. The case of an infinite three-dimensional system is considered in detail. The paper reports the application of Solid-State Nuclear Track Detectors to study the pulsed plasma-ion streams emitted from plasma-focus (PF) type discharges, which were performed within a low-energy PACO device constructed at Instituto de Fisica Arroyo Seco. The PACO device was operated under static initial gas conditions or with dynamic gas puffing. Studies of the structure of the fast deuteron beams were carried out within an energy range from 80 keV to about 2 MeV. Studies of ion energy and an ion angular distribution were also performed. The measurements showed that the fast deuterons are emitted in many “narrow” micro-beams, as in other larger PF devices. The anisotropy of the deuteron angular distribution was explained by the stochastic character of the formation of local ion sources within the PF discharge column. 相似文献
