We report a facile synthesis of functionalized dibenzo[g,p]chrysenes via initial ICl-promoted cyclization of bis(biaryl)acetylenes, followed by the Mizoroki-Heck coupling reaction. This new approach works well for various bis(biaryl)acetylenes to afford dibenzo[g,p]chrysenes bearing various functionalities. With substrates of one special type including 4'-methoxy-2-ethynylbiphenyls, we found that the ICl treatment led to ipso cyclization to give bicyclic spirocyclohexadienones. In the presence of MeOH/H2SO4, these spiroketone products undergo rearrangement to give 9-iodophenanthrenes through a selective 1,2-alkenyl migration. We prepared various 4'-methoxy-2-ethynylbiphenyl compounds to show the generalization of such an ipso cyclization and 1,2-alkenyl shift. This ipso-cyclization approach can be extended to the preparation of dibenzo[g,p]chrysenes.  相似文献

The fusion of 3,8-diphenyl-, 1,2-diphenyl-, and 6-methyl-2,7-diphenyl-indolizines with sulfur results in the formation of bis(indolizin-3-yl) disulfides with the respective substituents. Bis(2,8-diphenylindolizin-3-yl) disulfide is reduced to the original indolizine, and its treatment with nitric acid gives 2,8-diphenyl-1, 3-dinitroindolizine. Bis(dibenzo[b,g]indolizin-11-yl) disulfide is obtained from dibenzo[b,g]indolizine. The formation of the disulfides is apparently a general region of indolizines without substituents at C3 or C1 of the pyrrole ring. A series of new sulfur heteroarenes, isoelectronic with dibenzo[g,p]chrysene, have been prepared by double photocyclization of the corresponding tetraaryl substituted ethenes. The first step proceeds efficiently in each case, and the corresponding intermediate sulfur heteroarenes, isoelectronic with phenanthrene, have been isolated. The second ring closure is only efficient when one of the participating aryl substituents is thienyl, which thus manifests a higher electron density on the carbon atom involved in the excited singlet state reaction. Most of the new compounds are of minimal solubility in common solvents and do not display improved electron donor properties otherwise commonly found among heteroaromatics.  相似文献

The reaction of o-phenylene diamine with -alkoxy-, -dimethylamino-, and -acetoxy--alkyl- or -arylacroleins has been studied. A new synthesis of 7,16-diaryl[5,14]dihydro[b,i]dibenzo-[5,9,14,18]tetraaza[14]annulenes was developed, and the syntheses of 5,14-dihydro[b,i]dibenzo[5,9,14,18]tetraaza-[14]annulene and 7,16-dialkyl[5,14]dihydro[b,i]dibenzo[5,9,14,18]tetraaza[14]-annulenes were improved. 5,14-Dihydro[b,i]dibenzo[5,9,14,18]tetraaza[14]-annulenes were synthesized with various substituents in the benzene rings and at positions 7 and 16.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 3, pp. 376–381, March, 1987.  相似文献

Common wisdom has it that organoboranes are readily oxidized. Described herein is that also their reduction can result in remarkable chemistry. Treatment of dimeric 9H‐9‐borafluorene with Li metal in toluene yields two strikingly different classes of compounds. One part of the sample reacts in a way similar to B2H6, thus affording an aryl(hydro)borane cluster reminiscent of the [B3H8]? anion. The other part furnishes a dianionic boron‐doped graphene flake devoid of hydrogen substituents at the boron centers and featuring a central B?B bond. A change in the solvent to THF allows an isolation of this dibenzo[g,p]chrysene analogue in good yields.  相似文献

An effective approach to azepino-fused heterocycles is described. trans-1-Aryl-7,11b-dihydro-1H-azirino[1,2-a]dibenzo[c,f]azepines were synthesised via a domino sequence: isomerization of gem-dichloroaziridine-intramolecular Friedel-Crafts acylation of the tethered benzene ring catalysed by SnCl(4) and subsequent hydride induced intramolecular cyclization. Cycloaddition of dibenzazepinium ylides, generated by heating these aziridines, to activated C[double bond]C, C[triple bond]C dipolarophiles and fullerene C(60), leads to derivatives of dibenzo[c,f]pyrrolo[1,2-a]azepine. The reaction proceeds with complete stereoselectivity via cycloaddition of only W-ylide, which due to the high barrier does not undergo E,Z-isomerization under the reaction conditions. It was found that 2,3,9,13b-tetrahydro-1H-dibenzo[c,f]pyrrolo[1,2-a]azepine systems can exist in conformations of two types depending on the substituents at the pyrrolidine carbons in β-position with respect to nitrogen. Details of cycloaddition reactions and the conformational behavior of cycloadducts were studied by DFT calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level.  相似文献

Linear poly(p‐phenylene)s are modestly active UV photocatalysts for hydrogen production in the presence of a sacrificial electron donor. Introduction of planarized fluorene, carbazole, dibenzo[b,d]thiophene or dibenzo[b,d]thiophene sulfone units greatly enhances the H2 evolution rate. The most active dibenzo[b,d]thiophene sulfone co‐polymer has a UV photocatalytic activity that rivals TiO2, but is much more active under visible light. The dibenzo[b,d]thiophene sulfone co‐polymer has an apparent quantum yield of 2.3 % at 420 nm, as compared to 0.1 % for platinized commercial pristine carbon nitride.  相似文献

It was shown by hydrogenation of 2,8-diphenylindolizine, benzo[2,3]indolizine, dibenzo[2,3;5,6]indolizine, dibenzo[ 2,3;7,8 ]indolizine, 1-benzylisoquinoline, and 2,3-dimethyl-6-ethyl-4-(4-nitrophenyl)pyridine over Re2S7 (250°C, = 140 atm, 4 h) that the pyridine ring in benzoindolizines is hydrolyzed in preference to the pyrrole ring. Phenyl substituents at the indolizine do not prevent its complete reduction while alkyl substituents make reduction difficult. Carbon-13 chemical shifts (substituents effects, variations of shielding and deshielding related to the magnitude of n.π or π.π interactions) not only confirm the non-planar conformation of ketimines of the benzalaniline type, but provide torsional angles of the aromatic rings. A new synthetic approach to polycyclic aromatic compounds is described that entails in the key steps double Suzuki coupling of PAH bisboronic acid derivatives with o-bromoaryl aldehydes to furnish aryl dialdehydes that are converted to larger polycyclic aromatic ring systems by either (a) conversion to diolefins by Wittig reaction followed by photocyclization or (b) reductive cyclization with triflic acid and 1,3-propanediol. This synthetic method provides convenient access to as many as three different polycyclic aromatic ring systems from a single Suzuki coupled intermediate. It was utilized to synthesize substituted derivatives of benzo[s]picene, benzo[rst]pentaphene, dibenzo[b,def]chrysene, and 13,14-dihydro-benz[g]indeno[2,1-a]fluorene, as well as the putative carcinogenic bisdihydrodiol metabolites of benzo[s]picene, benzo[rst]pentaphene, and dibenzo[b,def]chrysene.  相似文献

We present an accurate method for the determination of isomers of high-molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons co-eluted in HPLC fractions. The feasibility of this approach is demonstrated with two isomers of molecular weight 302 with identical mass fragmentation patterns, namely dibenzo[a,i]pyrene and naphtho[2,3-a]pyrene. Qualitative and quantitative analysis is carried out via laser-excited time-resolved Shpol'skii spectroscopy at liquid helium temperature. Unambiguous identification of co-eluted isomers is based on their characteristic 4.2 K line-narrowed spectra in n-octane as well as their fluorescence lifetimes. Pre-concentration of HPLC fractions prior to spectroscopic analysis is performed with the aid of gold nanoparticles via an environmentally friendly procedure. In addition to the two co-eluted isomers, the analytical figures of merit of the entire procedure were evaluated with dibenzo[a,l]pyrene, dibenzo[a,h]pyrene and dibenzo[a,e]pyrene. The analytical recoveries from drinking water samples varied between 98.2±5.5 (dibenzo[a,l]pyrene) and 102.7±3.2% (dibenzo[a,i]pyrene). The limits of detection ranged from 51.1 ng L(-1) (naphtho[2,3-a]pyrene) to 154 ng L(-1) (dibenzo[a,e]pyrene). The excellent analytical figures of merit associated to its HPLC compatibility makes this approach an attractive alternative for the analysis of co-eluted isomers with identical mass spectra.  相似文献

Treatment of 2-(2'-bromo-beta-phenethyl)isocarbostyrils 7 with AIBN-Bu(3)SnH in boiling benzene gave 8-oxoberbines 3 in good yields. A similar treatment of 2-(2'-bromo-beta-phenethyl)isoquinolinium bromides 6 and their nor- and homoanalogues (10,11) induced 6-, 5-, and 7-exo radical closures in a one-pot manner to give protoberberines 2, dibenzo[b,g]indolizidine 14a and, dibenzo[a, h]-1-azabicyclo[5.4.0]undecane 15a, respectively. A one-pot radical cyclization of 1-(2'-bromobenzyl)isoquinoline methiodide 18a gave a pavine alkaloid, (+/-)-algemonine (19a).  相似文献

While reviewing the chemistry of cyclopentadienone derivatives and aza isoskeletal analogs of dibenzo[a,c]anthracene, additional molecular orbital (MO) and spectroscopic results and insights are presented. The MO tendency for coplanarity of phenyl substituents on benzenoids is demonstrated. Perpendicularly oriented phenyl substituents resulting from steric interactions strongly shield appropriately situated protons in NMR spectra. The principles of alternating polarity and parallel correspondence in conjunction with MO methods are used to relatively order aza arene isoskeletal analogs according to their chemical properties. Since less than 1.87% of the isoskeletal analogs of benzo[a,c]-anthracene have been reported, this summary work will help one to forecast the major chemical properties of those not yet synthesized.A preliminary account of this work was presented at the 23rd ACS Midwest Regional Meeting, University of Iowa, Iowa City, Nov. 17, 1988  相似文献

Ladder-type heteroacenes containing pyrrole or furan rings, indolo[3,2-b]carbazoles and dibenzo[d,d']benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']difurans, were effectively synthesized from the common intermediates, 2,5-bis(o-chloroaryl)hydroquinones. The key reactions are palladium-catalyzed double N-arylation of aniline and intramolecular O-arylation, which enable regioselective ring closure. In addition to the parent indolo[3,2-b]carbazole and dibenzo[d,d']benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']difuran, their derivatives with an alkyl or cyano group were first synthesized. Photophysical and electrochemical studies showed that the obtained heteroacenes have lower HOMO energy levels and larger band gaps than the corresponding hydrocarbon acene, pentacene. An X-ray analysis of dibenzo[d,d']benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']difuran revealed that it was packed in herringbone fashion.  相似文献

A comparative investigation was undertaken for the electrosynthesis and electrochemical properties of three different electroactive polymers having a conjugated core building block, dibenzo[a,c]phenazine. A series of monomers has been synthesized as regards to thiophene based units; thiophene, 3‐hexyl thiophene, and 3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene. The effects of different donor substituents on the polymers' electrochemical properties were examined by cyclic voltammetry. Introducing highly electron‐donating (ethylene dioxy) group to the monomer enables solubility while also lowering the oxidation potential. The planarity of the monomer unit enhances π‐stacking and consequently lowering the Eg from 2.4 eV (PHTP) to 1.7 (PTBP). Cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemical measurements revealed that 2,7‐bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl)dibenzo[a,c]phenazine (HTP) and 2,7‐bis(2,3‐dihydrothieno[3,4‐b][1,4]dioxin‐5‐yl)dibenzo[a,c]phenazine (TBP) possessed electrochromic behavior. The colorimetry analysis revealed that while PTBP have a color change from red to blue, PHTP has yellow color at neutral state and blue color at oxidized state. Hence the presence of the phenazine derivative as the acceptor unit causes a red shift in the polymers' absorption to have a blue color. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, we report a high-performance liquid chromatography-particle beam-mass spectrometric (HPLC-PB-MS) method for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The PB interface consists of a concentric ultrasonic nebulizer with temperature-controlled desolvation chamber and a three-stage momentum separator. The HPLCPB-MS method showed greater sensitivity for PAHs with molecular weights above 178 than for those PAHs with molecular weights below 178. The percent relative standard deviations for the determination of 0.5 ng chrysene, 1.0 ng dibenzo[a,h]anthracene, 1.0 ng benzo[g,h,i]perylene, and 2.5 ng coronene were 20%, 2.5%, 13.7%, and 6%, respectively. The detection limits at signal/noise = 3 were 0.2 ng for chrysene, 1.0 ng for dibenzo[a,h]anthracene, 0.5 ng for benzo[g,h,i]perylene, and 1.5 ng for coronene.  相似文献

The interaction of the linear dibenzo[b,g]quinolizinium (5a) and the angular dibenzo[a,f]quinolizinium (6) with DNA was studied in detail in order to evaluate the influence of the shape of polycyclic quinolizinium ions on their DNA-binding properties. First, the synthesis and the thermally induced dimerization of 5a were reinvestigated because the preparation and isolation of the bromide salt of 5a according to literature procedures turned out to be problematic. The dibenzo[b,g]quinolizinium bromide [5a(Br)] tends to dimerize in solution with a highly selective and unprecedented formation of the corresponding anti-head-to-head dimer. Nevertheless, it was observed that careful exclusion of bromide ions from the reaction mixture suppresses the formation of the dimer. Moreover, the dimer may be transformed to the monomer by a remarkably rapid photoinduced electron-transfer reaction with 1-methoxynaphthalene. The association of 5a and 6 with nucleic acids was investigated by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric DNA titrations, CD and LD spectroscopy, DNA thermal denaturation studies, and competition-dialysis techniques. Both dibenzoquinolizinium ions 5a and 6 exhibit an intercalative mode of binding to double-stranded DNA with moderate binding constants (K = 1-7 x 10(5) M(-1)) and a slight preference for association with GC-rich DNA regions. The structures of the intercalation complexes were calculated by molecular modeling methods. Competition-dialysis studies reveal that the isomers 5a and 6 bind selectively to triple-helical DNA (poly[dA]-poly[dT]2) as compared to selected synthetic and native double-stranded nucleic acids. Notably, the selectivity of the linear dibenzo[b,g]quinolizinium 5a toward triplex DNA is higher than the one of the angular derivative 6. In contrast, the DNA thermal denaturation studies reveal a higher stabilization of triple-helical DNA in the presence of 6 (DeltaTm3-->2 = 28 degrees C at r = 0.5) as compared to the stabilization by 5a (DeltaTm3-->2 = 14 degrees C at r = 0.5). This comparison emphasizes the importance of the extended pi system for the interaction of annelated quinolizinium ions with DNA. Moreover, the comparison between 5a and 6 demonstrates the significant influence of the shape of the pi system on the duplex- and triplex-stabilizing properties of the dibenzoquinolizinium ions.  相似文献
