The initial boundary value problem for the fourth-order wave equation utt △2u u=|t|p-1u is considered.The existence and uniqueness of global weak solutions is obtained by using the Galerkin method and the concept of stable set due to Sattinger.     

Asymptotic Behaviour and Global Existence of Solutions for Some Classes of Nonlinear Parabolic Equations

The paper deals with the asymptotic behaviour and global existence of solutions for some classes of nonlinear parabolic equations in regard to the monotone properties of the nonlinear term. The asymptotic behaviour of the solutions of initial-boundary value problem for nonlinear parabolic equations is studied via the method of differential inequalities in order to obtain oscillation criterion for the solutions. Existence of extremal solutions of semilinear elliptic and parabolic equations is investigated via monotone iterative methods. The extremal solutions are obtained via monotone iterates.

研究一类具有非线性边界流的双重退化抛物方程组解的整体存在与爆破,通过构造自相似的上下解,得到了整体存在曲线.借助一些新的结果,获得了Fujita临界指数.其中一个有趣的现象是:整体存在曲线和Fujita临界曲线分别是由一个矩阵和线性方程组来决定.

Global Existence of Solutions to Nonlinear Wave Equations

T. Global in time solutions of the equations Ou = H(u, u') on Minkowski space-time are considered. Results available so far involve complicated decay and energy estimates and also careful choice of Banach spaces and associated ordinary differential inequalities. This work tries to simplify some of the existing arguments and to develop a new technique for other nonlinear evolution equations. The method is motivated by the work of Christodoulou and Baez, Segal, and Zhou, on nonlinear wave equations. The key idea is to use the Penrose conformal compactification that transforms the equations from Minkowski space to the Einstein universe in order to change the global existence question to the local one.

一类具有变号位势Kirchhoff型方程解的存在性

该文研究了一类带有变号位势非线性项的Kirchhoff型方程的Neumann边值问题.利用变分方法,首先对空间进行分解,证明了该问题的能量泛函满足山路结构;然后证明了能量泛函的(PS)序列有强收敛的子列;最后通过Ekeland变分原理和山路引理,获得了该问题两个非平凡解的存在性.

Global Existence and Asymptotic Behavior for a Coupled System of Viscoelastic Wave Equations with a Delay Term

We are interested in the study of a coupled system of viscoelastic wave equa- tions with a delay term. Firstly global existence of the solutions is proved. The asymp- totic behavior is obtained by using multiplier technique proved by A. Guessmia [1], however in the unstable set for certain initial data bolstered with some conditions, we obtain the blow up of the solutions for various sign of initial energy negative, positive or null. We use the same technique in [2] with a necessary modification imposed by our problem. This improves the earlier results in the literature
