It is shown that the concept of a viscous shock layer with boundary conditions specified in a thin shock wave is unsuitable for analyzing the flow of a chemically reacting gas, even in the case of high Reynolds numbers; it may produce a finite error when determining the parameters of the shock layer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 175–178, September–October, 1973.  相似文献

Within the framework of the theory of a hypersonic viscous shock layer a study is made of flow round wings of infinite span with blunt leading edges at various angles of attack and slip. Account is taken of multicomponent diffusion, and homogeneous chemical reactions, including dissociation-recombination reactions and exchange reactions. On the shock wave the generalized Rankine-Hugoniot conditions are given, and on the surface of the body conditions which allow for heterogeneous catalytic reactions of the first order with reaction rate constants depending [1] or not depending [2] on the temperature. The cases of an ideally catalytic and a noncatalytic surface are also considered. The surface of the body is assumed to be heatinsulated. A numerical study was made of the problem in a broad range of variation in the angles of attack and slip for different cases of prescribed constants representing the rates of the heterogeneous reactions. The conditions of the flow corresponded to the motion of a body which possess a lifting force along the trajectory of entry into the Earth's atmosphere [3]. The dependences are given of the equilibrium temperature of the surface along the stagnation line of the wing on the height of the flight and the distribution of this temperature along the surface of wings with parabolic and hyperbolic contours. It is shown that for flow regimes with a relatively high degree of dissociation in cases when the proportion of atoms recombined on the surface of the body is small, the dependences of the heat flow and the temperature of the surface on the angle of slip are of a nonmonotonic nature.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhldkosti i Gaza., No. 6, pp. 127–135, November–December, 1984.  相似文献

A three-dimensional flow of dissociating air past blunt bodies is investigated in the framework of the thin viscous shock layer theory. Multicomponent diffusion and homogeneous chemical reactions, including dissociation, recombination, and exchange reactions, are taken into account. The generalized Rankine-Kugoniot conditions are specified on the shock wave and the conditions which take into account the heterogeneous catalytic reactions, on the surface of the body. The viscous shock layer equations are solved together with the heat equations inside the coating, which is carbon with a deposited thin film of SiO2, or quartz. The case of a thermally insulated surface is also considered. The problem for the case of the motion of a body along the re-entry trajectory into Earth's atmosphere is investigated numerically. The temperature of the surface and the heat flux toward it are given as a dependence on the height (tine) of the flight for different cases of the specification of the catalytic reactions. It is shown that the difference between the heat fluxes towards the thermally insulated surface and the fluxes toward the heat-conducting surface in the neighborhood of the stagnation point is of the order of 6–12% for all the cases considered. This makes it possible to decouple the solution of the problem of heat conduction in the body.Translated fron Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 140–146, November–December, 1985.deceased  相似文献

In 1994, the Orbital Reentry Experiment (OREX) was conducted by the National Aerospace Laboratory and National Space Development Agency of Japan. During this experiment aerodynamic heating and saturated ion current were successfully measured. In this paper, the thermochemical nonequilibrium shock layer of the OREX vehicle has been reconstructed using a VSL (Viscous Shock Layer) numerical simulation. In addition, heating to the OREX vehicle and electron density have been calculated and compared with the flight data. The numerical simulation has been made for the flight conditions at altitudes ranging from 96.7 km to 59.6 km, using a three temperature model composed of translational-rotational, vibrational and electron-electronic temperatures. The catalytic efficiency of the coating material on the nose of the vehicle was determined by comparing the flight data for heat flux with the numerical result for the finite catalytic wall. The calculated electron density values were in approximate agreement with the flight values. Received 17 June 2001 / Accepted 23 September 2001  相似文献

We consider the problem of a hypersonic viscous flow of a nonreactive mixture of ideal gases around smooth thick bodies in the framework of a two-layer model of a thin shock layer for moderately small Reynolds numbers. We investigate the effect of blowing of a foreign gas through a permeable surface in the bow region of a spherical blunt body. We introduce a transformation of variables that gives a number of important advantages in the numerical solution of the problem under consideration. The problem of mass blowing from the surface of a body into a boundary layer has an extensive literature. The effect of blowing for moderately small Reynolds numbers has been considerably less studied [1–5], and in the majority of papers on this question either the critical point of a blunt body or the blowing of a gas homogeneous with the gas in the incoming flow is investigated.Moscow. Some results are given of the numerical investigation into the parameters of the nonequilibrium flow of air in a viscous shock layer in the case of blunt circular cones at zero angle of attack; they are also compared with experimental data obtained during re-entry of ballistic objects into the Earth's atmosphere. The calculations were made with allowance for the nonequilibrium processes of dissociation and ionization, and also vibrational relaxation. The influence of viscosity, heat conduction, and diffusion is taken into account in the complete shock layer. The conditions on the shock wave are posed with allowance for its finite thickness. The characteristic profiles of the velocity, temperature, and electron concentration in the shock layer are given. Good agreement is obtained between the calculated and experimental data on the level and the profiles of the electron concentration. The parameters of the shock layer were determined by a method that is a natural extension of the numerical method of [1] to the case of nonequilibrium flow in a viscous shock layer. Because of this, only the main differences of the method when applied to the calculation of nonequilibrium flows of a multicomponent mixture such as dissociated and ionized air are described.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 15–20, November–December, 1979.  相似文献

Turbulent flows past blunt bodies at high supersonic speeds are mainly investigated within the framework of the boundary layer model. However, even at large Reynolds numbers owing to the strong entropy gradient on the lateral surface it becomes necessary to take boundary layer corrections into account in the higher approximations [1]. The use of viscous shock layer theory makes it possible to obtain fairly accurate results over a broad interval of variation of the Reynolds numbers without organizing iterations with respect to vorticity and displacement thickness. The nonequilibrium nature of both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions is taken into account. The results obtained are compared with the experimental data [2, 3]. Previously, in [4, 5] turbulent flow was investigated within the framework of viscous shock layer theory in the case of equilibrium homogeneous reactions.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 144–149, March–April, 1989.  相似文献

Steady flow of supersonic air over a sphere is examined, allowing for viscosity, heat conduction, and actual physical and chemical processes. Flow in the shock layer at flight speeds in the range 3 km/sec V10 km/sec (104R106) is investigated, under the assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium. The flow is described by simplified Navier-Stokes equations, which are solved by a finite difference method. The case of a cooled surface is examined. The distribution of gasdynamic parameters is obtained in different flow regimes. The distribution of heat flux and friction coefficient is investigated as a function of the oncoming-stream parameters and the sphere radius. The shape and position of the shock wave are determined, and the stream lines and sonic lines are constructed.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 4, pp. 150–153, July–August, 1970.The authors thank Yu. A hypersonic swirling flow of viscous compressible gas past rotating axisymmetric blunt bodies is considered, its velocity vector being parallel to the axis of rotation of the body. The body surface is assumed permeable, while, in the general case, the gas is not injected (drawn off) along the normal to the body surface. An analytic solution of the problem, valid at small Reynolds numbers, is found in the first approximation of the integral method of successive approximations. On the basis of the results of the numerical solution, obtained in a wide range of variation of the determining parameters of the problem, we investigate the influence of the swirling of the free-stream flow, the angular velocity of rotation of the body, the Reynolds number and the injection (suction) parameter on the structure of the compressed layer, and the coefficients of friction and heat transfer on the body surface. The influence of the swirling of the flow on the nature of the asymptotic behavior of the viscous shock layer equations at large Reynolds numbers is studied. It is shown that the presence of a nonzero peripheral component for the velocity vector of the gas in the shock layer can lead to a qualitative change in the nature of the flow. On the basis of an asymptotic expansion of the solution of the equations of a multicomponent chemically nonequilibrium boundary layer for large Schmidt numbers, formulas are obtained for the heat flux and the diffusion fluxes of the reaction products and chemical elements on a surface with arbitrary catalytic activity. The results are compared with well-known analytic and numerical solutions. The comparison reveals the high accuracy of the formulas proposed. The results of calculating the diffusional separation of the mixture due to the selectivity of the catalytic properties of the surface with respect to recombination of oxygen and nitrogen atoms are presented. Values of the reduction of the convective heat fluxes due to the catalytic properties of the surface are obtained over a wide range of conditions in the free stream.Moscow. A three-dimensional shock layer near the blunt surface of a fairly smooth body is analyzed asymptotically. Equations of the first approximation are obtained and justified in various cases of the limit 1, 0, ( – 1)–1M -2 0. These equations are simplified for the flow near the stagnation point of a body with double curvature and near the blunt leading edge of a sweptback wing. The results of some calculations are given and compared with the results of [17, 18] in the case of axisymmetric flow.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 115–126, September–October, 1980.  相似文献

The viscous shock-layer model is used to examine relaxation of rotational degrees of freedom of molecular nitrogen in flow of a rarefied gas near the stagnation flow line around a sphere. It is shown that in the strongly smeared shock-wave region the rotational degrees of freedom can exhibit substantial nonequilibrium, leading to the increase of temperature and an increase of shock-layer thickness as compared with the equilibrium values. The influence of rotational relaxation on the shock-wave structure is discussed, and boundaries are found for the flow regions when rotational relaxation plays on important role,A comparison is made between the results of numerical calculations and experimentally obtained density profiles available in the literature near the stagnation line in flow of a rarefied gas over a sphere [1, 2]. Quite good agreement is obtained between the results of the calculation and experimental data over a wide range of Reynolds numbers.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 172–175, July–August, 1977.  相似文献

A numerical method is described for solving the equations of the compressible viscous shock layer on smooth spherically blunted axisymmetric cones at zero angle of attack and flow of a perfect gas. Effective use is made of the scheme of separating the original system of equations into parabolic (second order) and inviscid (first order) subsystems, which are solved by intrinsic methods. The results of the computations are presented. The method is capable of natural generalization to the case of nonequilibrium physical and chemical processes and diffusion. In most published papers dealing with computation of the compressible shock layer, the authors examine either the vicinity of the stagnation point or a certain region of spherical blunting [1–5]. In all the papers except [4, 5], a number of simplified assumptions have been made regarding the flow picture. Very few papers [6–8] have calculated the viscous shock layer on the forward surface of blunted bodies. In [6, 7] an approximate examination was made only of hyperboloids and paraboloids of revolution, which have very favorable geometry. Reference [8] used a approximate Karman—Polhausen integral method for a very simple system of equations. The method proposed here is essentially an accurate numerical method for solution of the viscous shock layer equations.  相似文献

Receptivity of a viscous shock layer on a flat plate aligned at an angle of attack to external multiwave acoustic perturbations is studied. It is shown that external acoustic waves and periodic controlled perturbations introduced from the surface of the plate mounted at an angle of attack smaller than 20° generate entropy-vortex disturbances with a similar spatial distribution in the viscous shock layer. This result allows numerical implementation of the interference method of controlling disturbances generated in the viscous shock layer on the plate by external acoustic waves at one frequency and at a spectrum of frequencies by introducing blowing-suction perturbations on the plate surface with appropriate amplitudes and phases.  相似文献

The influence of a nontotal reflection on the interaction of a reflected shock wave with the boundary layer in a reflected shock tunnel has been investigated. The calculating method of the velocity, the temperature and the Mach number profiles in the boundary layer in reflected shock fixed coordinates has been obtained. To account for equilibrium real gas effects of nitrogen, the numerical results show that the minimum Mach number in the boundary layer has been moved from the wall into the boundary layer with the increasing of the incident shock Mach number. The minimum Mach number, the shock angle in the bifurcated foot and the jet velocity along the wall to the end plate are reduced owing to the increasing of the area of nozzle throat. The numerical results are in good agreement with measurements.  相似文献
