A wavelet transform (WT) analysis is presented to obtain the deformation phases from the fringes with non-uniform carrier frequency, which may appear in the pattern of varied-periodic fringes generated in displacement measurement. Based on the phase maps of the Morlet WT coefficients distributed in a space-scale spectrum, a statistical processing is carried out to search the compacted density of the phase intervals over the scale, and from that the phase modulations related to the object deformation can be determined. Numerical simulation demonstrates the validity of the pattern-processing technique, and the experimental results show the applications to the measurement of the in-plane displacement by the digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) and the measurement of the out-of-plane deflection by the projecting Moiré fringes.  相似文献

在数字散斑干涉(DSPI)测量方法中,数字散斑时间平均法测量振动时得到的是贝塞尔条纹,其定量分析比较困难。该文采用贝塞尔条纹准相移技术进行数字散斑振动定量分析,即在参考光路中引入和物体同频率的偏置参考振动,当参考振动的相位改变时,振动条纹会产生移动,这相当于静态余弦条纹的相移,可以采用相移算法对数字散斑振动测量的贝塞尔条纹进行定量分析。文中开发了一种新的数字散斑振动定量分析系统,研制了一种低压光学相移器和测量控制电路,给出了圆周固定圆片和四周固定方铜板的振动测量结果。实验结果表明:采用本系统可以方便地定量测出物体的振动模态。  相似文献

Digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) is a tool for making qualitative as well as quantitative measurements of deformation of objects. Phase-shifting algorithms in DSPI are useful for extracting quantitative deformation data from the system. Comparative studies of the different phase-shifting algorithms in DSPI for object deformation measurement are presented. Static and quasi-dynamic deformation of the object can be measured using these algorithms. Error compensating five-step phase-shifting method is used for the algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper, we are presenting measurement of static and dynamic deformations in rectangular plate fixed at one end using digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI). To improve the measurement accuracy, we have developed a new filtering scheme based on combination of average/median filtering and Symlet wavelet filtering which enhances the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the speckle interferogram obtained from DSPI. Experimental results show that our filtering scheme is quite effective in improving SNR of the speckle interferogram. The measurements by DSPI and calculations from beam theory in the case of out-of-plane static deformation and the measurements by DSPI and accelerometer in the case of dynamic deformation are in good agreement.  相似文献

在实际工程应用中,对材料形貌和结构变形等参量的检测是必不可少的,而且往往需要进行多参量同时测量。针对该背景,采用数字散斑干涉与数字条纹投影相结合的测量方法, 设计了一种集成光路,通过在数字散斑干涉实验光路中引入一个投影设备,实现物体表面形貌和微变形的同时测量。所提出的方法具有全场非接触测量的优点,且测量光路简单、操作方便、效率高、可靠性强。该方法的形貌测量分辨率优于10 μm,形变测量分辨率优于30 nm。  相似文献

提出了一种新的数字散斑相位图去包裹算法,主要针对检测对象为复杂非连续物体这一情况。物体在激光照明下,采用光学相位反相相减图像的方法来检测并标识出相位间断区,并利用改进了的行列去包裹算法。使去包裹过程只在相位有效区域进行,从而准确快速地实现全场有效区域的相位去包裹。与已提出的相位去包裹方法相比,该算法具有计算量小,速度快,并能有效地避开大面积的相位间断区的优点,该方法使数字散斑技术可以方便地应用于工程实际中如对复杂非连续构件的变形、振动等方面的定量分析。  相似文献

This paper reports on the accuracy and sensitivity of digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) when it is combined with the hole drilling technique for measuring residual stresses. The in-plane displacement field generated by the introduction of a small hole is determined using an automated data analysis approach. This method is based on the calculation of the optical phase distribution through a phase-shifting method and the application of a robust iterative phase unwrapping algorithm. It is experimentally demonstrated that residual stresses can be measured with a relative uncertainty of 7.5%. It is also shown that the minimum value of residual stress that can be determined with the DSPI and hole drilling combined technique is about 10% of the yield stress of the material.  相似文献

In this paper the study of out-of-plane or transverse vibrations in a square plate using digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) is presented. To improve the measurement accuracy, we have implemented a new filtering scheme based on combination of average/median filtering and Symlet wavelet filtering which enhances the signal to noise ratio in the speckle interferogram obtained from DSPI. A large number of fringe patterns are shown for square plate with two different boundary conditions. Experimentally obtained resonance frequencies for the square plate for the boundary condition one edge fixed and other edges being free, the resonance frequencies obtained from DSPI show good agreement with that obtained from classical theory for thin plates.  相似文献

A novel optical system is proposed that implements digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) and digital speckle photography (DSP) simultaneously using two wavelength illumination of an object for simultaneous measurement of all three components of the displacement vector field. A collimated red light illuminates both the object and a reference surface in a DSPI configuration which is sensitive to out-of-plane displacement field while a blue light illuminates the object in a DSP configuration which is sensitive to in-plane displacement fields. A color 3-CCD camera records the red and blue lights individually through its red and blue channels, respectively. Two reference images and one image in the deformed state of the object are required for quantitative measurement. Experimental results are presented to validate the system.  相似文献

Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DSPI) is a promising field for a wide range of applications such as measurement of displacements/deformations, contouring, nondestructive testing, etc. It has holographic sensitivity and circumvents delays in photographic processing/filtering. Speckle correlation interferometry can be made sensitive to only one of the components of in-plane displacement by illuminating the object with two beams symmetric about the viewing axis and imaging along this axis using a viction. This configuration allows measurement of in-plane displacements independent of out-of-plane displacements.

In this paper, the in-plane deformation/stress distribution has been studied for a typical bolted flange joint of a pressure vessel using two beam illumination DSPI. The information obtained can be very useful in predicting the leakage behaviour of such joints employed in pressure vessels. Experimental investigations along with theoretical predictions are presented.  相似文献

Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DSPI) is an optical nondestructive testing method allowing the visualization of the defects or the deformations of an object submitted to static deformation or to vibration. This method can be applied to a lot of cases within a range of displacements between tens of nanometers and tens of micrometers. DSPI can be applied to detect the natural frequencies and to visualize the mode shapes of a vibrating object. It is very convenient to study small and weak objects because no contact is required compared to classical modal analysis using accelerometers. DSPI was successfully applied to study a cantilever aluminium plate (5 cm × 10 cm × 1 mm). The experimental isodisplacement fringe maps are compared to computational results using a finite element method.  相似文献

Digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) is a well-known technique for measuring deformations, but it is limited in range by speckle decorrelation. We developed an adaptive interferometer with increased measurement range by combining the DSPI set-up with a pupil filter that generates optical superresolution. As a result, a decrease in the transverse speckle size is observed accompanied with a substantial increase in the longitudinal speckle size. The increase in the speckle correlation length along the optical axis allows for obtaining an out-of-plane deformation measurement over a significantly extended depth. An experimental verification of this concept of superspeckles is presented with an intensity-only LCD spatial light modulator (SLM) acting as a pupil filter. Comparison of speckle correlation fringes with and without the superresolution filter confirms the proposed concept. The present work demonstrates a doubling of the measurement range when using the superresolution interferometer. A standard set-up in which the speckle length is comparably elongated by stopping down the lens has a similar loss of intensity, but its lateral resolution is only half as good.  相似文献

This paper describes an application of Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DSPI) to the measurement of Poisson's ratio. This real-time technique provides several advantages over conventional holographic methods. A suitable operator interactive algorithm has been developed to evaluate the fringe pattern and then calculate the Poisson's ratio. The compensation effects of fiber nonlinearity in 112 Gb/s polarization division multiplexing(PDM) coherent optical systems by mid-span optical phase conjugation(OPC) based on four wave mixing(FWM) effect are studied. Comparisons of the compensation results between PDM coherent optical-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(CO-OFDM)system and the single carrier(SC) PDM quadrature phase shift keying(QPSK) system are provided as well. The results demonstrate that nonlinear compensation effect with mid-span OPC in PDM CO-OFDM system is much more obvious than that in SC PDM QPSK system.  相似文献

In this study, experiments were performed with a tubular wet electrostatic precipitator (wESP) to evaluate its effectiveness for the removal of mass- and number-based DPM emissions. A nonroad diesel generator utilizing a low sulfur diesel fuel (500 ppmw) operating under varying load conditions was used as a stationary DPM emission source. The US EPA Method 5 “Sampling Method for Stationary Sources” and Method 1A “Sampling and Velocity Traverses for Stationary Sources with Small Stacks or Ducts” were adopted as reference methods for measurement of DPM mass concentration. An electrical low-pressure impactor (ELPI) was used to quantify the DPM number concentration in the diluted exhaust gas at each tested condition. The wESP was evaluated with respect to varying engine loads and to different operational control parameters, such as corona power and gas residence time, to determine their effect on overall removal efficiency. The results show that the removal efficiency of the wESP increased as the engine loads decreased principally due to an increase in gas residence time and a decrease in DPM concentrations. At a constant wESP voltage and engine load, the increase of gas residence time within the wESP led to a significant increase in total DPM removal efficiency. In addition, total DPM removal efficiency was found to be directly related to the corona power, with increasing removal efficiency measured for increases in corona power. The linear correlation of DPM effective migration velocity and superficial gas velocity was established and an empirical equation is given. The wESP appears to be a promising alternative method for control of mass-based as well as number-based DPM emissions.  相似文献

We investigate a digital method for detecting the velocity of a diffusing object. The technique is based on Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DSPI). A set of reference fringes is generated externally through the reference beam in a digital interferometer. As the object moves, subsequent frames are acquired and subtracted according to the normal DSPI procedure and stored. By means of the theory of first order speckle statistics applied to speckle intensity correlation, we relate the visibility variations in the reference fringes with the object velocity. Thus, by measuring the fringe visibility variation in the resulting DSPI stored frames the mean object velocity can be obtained. The theoretical results are experimentally verified.  相似文献

This paper presents the evaluation of a method to cancel rigid body displacements that can be introduced when a hole drilling and digital speckle pattern interferometry (DSPI) combined system is used to measure residual stresses. The proposed method is based on a least-square calculation of three correction parameters determined from two evaluation lines located near the edge of the phase map where the displacement field generated by the drilling process is supposed to be negligible. The errors introduced by the method for different residual stress levels and rigid body displacements are analysed using a numerical simulation. It can compensate in real-time for the phase distorted wavefront of an object caused by a phase distorted medium (PDM). For this study, a 4 stage electrical low pressure impactor was designed to measure the real‐time size distribution of diesel particulate matter (DPM). For the performance evaluation, sodium chloride (NaCl) particles and dioctyl sebacate (DOS) particles were used. After evaluating the collection efficiency of each stage of the impactor, the size distributions of test particles were estimated using electrical current data and their inversion algorithm, and this was found to agree with the results obtained by a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS). For measurement of DPM, a common‐rail direct injection (CRDI) diesel engine, for engine speeds of 1,200 rpm and 1,500 rpm at 2.7 kgf·m, was used. Therefore, it was found that the size distribution of the DPM could be easily obtained, with the currents measured by the impactor and the data inversion algorithm, in less than 5 seconds. Furthermore, the effective density of the DPM could be obtained using the calculated results and the SMPS data.  相似文献
