The laser line-width required in PSK homodyne communication systems with Dither phase-locked loop receivers are exactly evaluated. It is shown that second-order phase-locked loops require at least 0.2 pW of signal power per every Hz of laser line-width (this number refers to the system with the detector responsivity 0.94 A/W, damping ratio 0.707, and the phase error standard deviation 10°). This signal power is used for phase locking, and is, therefore lost from the data receiver. This study for the first time shows the imperfect-phase-recovery-induced power penalty as a function of laser line-width. It can be estimated from the theoretical result that an optimal dither phase locked-loop receiver requires the laser line-width as Δυ ≤ 3.14 × 10−5 × Rb, where Rb is the system bit rate. This number refers to the system with power penalty of 1 dB at BER = 10−10.  相似文献

Middle infrared absorption, Raman scattering and proton magnetic resonance relaxation measurements were performed for [Zn(NH3)4](BF4) in order to establish relationship between the observed phase transitions and reorientational motions of the NH3 ligands and BF4 anions. The temperature dependence of spin-lattice relaxation time (T1(1H)) and of the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the bands connected with ρr(NH3), ν2(BF4) and ν4(BF4) modes in the infrared and in the Raman spectra have shown that in the high temperature phase of [Zn(NH3)4](BF4)2 all molecular groups perform the following stochastic reorientational motions: fast (τR≈10−12 s) 120° flips of NH3 ligands about three-fold axis, fast isotropic reorientation of BF4 anions and slow (τR≈10−4 s) isotropic reorientation (“tumbling”) of the whole [Zn(NH3)4]2+ cation. Mean values of the activation energies for uniaxial reorientation of NH3 and isotropic reorientation of BF4 at phases I and II are ca. 3 kJ mol−1 and ca. 5 kJ mol−1, respectively. At phases III and IV the activation energies values for uniaxial reorientation of both NH3 and of BF4 equal to ca. 7 kJ mol−1. Nearly the same values of the activation energies, as well as of the reorientational correlation times, at phases III and IV well explain existence of the coupling between reorientational motions of NH3 and BF4. Splitting some of the infrared bands at TC2=117 K suggests reducing of crystal symmetry at this phase transition. Sudden narrowing of the bands connected with ν2(BF4), ν4(BF4) and ρr(NH3) modes at TC3=101 K implies slowing down (τR?10−10 s) of the fast uniaxial reorientational motions of the BF4 anions and NH3 ligands at this phase transition.  相似文献

Temperature dependent dielectric relaxation and thermodynamic properties of polyethylene glycols HO[CH2CH2O)nH with number average molecular weight 200 (n = 4), 300 (n = 7), 400 (n = 9) and 600 (n = 14) g mol− 1 have been studied using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) in the frequency range 10 MHz to 20 GHz. The frequency dependence of the complex dielectric permittivity is analyzed by the Havriliak-Negami expression. The static permittivity ε0, high frequency limiting static permittivity ε, average relaxation time τ0 and thermodynamic energy parameters such as free energy, enthalpy of activation and entropy of activation have been determined. The average free energy of activation ΔFτ for PEG molecules was found to be in the range 4-5 kcal mol− 1. The values of entropy ΔSτ for PEG-200, PEG-400 and PEG-600 molecules were found to be positive while entropy ΔSτ for PEG-300 molecules was found negative, which confirms that the configuration of PEG-300 involved in the dipolar orientation has an activated state, which is more ordered than the normal state compared to PEG-200, PEG-400 and PEG-600 molecules.  相似文献

We have thoroughly investigated the entire magnetic states of under-doped ferromagnetic-insulating manganite Nd0.8Sr0.2MnO3 through temperature-dependent linear and non-linear complex ac magnetic susceptibility measurements. This ferromagnetic-insulating manganite is found to have frequency-independent ferromagnetic to paramagnetic transition temperature at around 140 K. At around 90 K (≈T?) the sample shows a second frequency-dependent re-entrant magnetic transition as explored through complex ac susceptibility measurements. Non-linear ac susceptibility measurements (higher harmonics of ac susceptibility) have also been performed (with and without the superposition of a dc magnetic field) to further investigate the origin of this frequency dependence (dynamic behavior at this re-entrant magnetic transition). Divergence of 3rd harmonic of ac susceptibility in the limit of zero exciting field indicates a spin-glass-like freezing phenomena. However, large value of spin-relaxation time (τ0=10−8 s) and small value of coercivity (∼22 Oe) obtained at low temperature (below T?) from critical slowing down model and dc magnetic measurements, respectively, are in contrast with what generally observed in a canonical spin glass (τ0=10−12-10−14 s and very large value of coercivity below freezing temperature). We have attributed our observation to the formation of finite size ferromagnetic clusters which are formed as consequence of intrinsic phase separation and undergo cluster glass-like freezing below certain temperature in this under-doped manganite. The results are supported by the electronic- and magneto-transport data.  相似文献

The frequency dependence of the real (?′) and imaginary (?″) parts of the dielectric constant of polycrystalline hematite (α-Fe2O3) has been investigated in the frequency range 0-100 kHz and the temperature range 190-350 K, in order to reveal experimentally the electron hopping mechanism that takes place during the Morin transition of spin-flip process. The dielectric behaviour is described well by the Debye-type relaxation (α-dispersion) in the temperature regions T<233 K and T>338 K. In the intermediate temperature range 233 K<T<338 K a charge carrier mechanism takes place (electron jump from the O2− ion into one of the magnetic ions Fe3+) which gives rise to the low frequency conductivity and to the Ω-dispersion. The temperature dependence of relaxation time (τ) in the −ln τ vs 103/T plot shows two linear regions. In the first, T<238 K, τ increases with increasing T implying a negative activation energy −0.01 eV, and in the second region T>318 K τ decreases as the temperature increases implying a positive activation energy 0.12 eV. The total reorganization energy (0.12-0.01) 0.11 eV is in agreement with the adiabatic activation energy 0.11 eV given by an ab initio model in the literature. The temperature dependence of the phase shift in the frequencies 1, 5, 10 kHz applied shows clearly an average Morin temperature TMo=284±1 K that is higher than the value of 263 K corresponding to a single crystal due to the size and shape of material grains.  相似文献

In its simple form, the relaxation time of the Néel relaxation process of the magnetic moment of single-domain particles is given by τN0Nexp(σ), σ being the ratio of anisotropy energy to thermal energy. The pre-factor, τ0N, is normally given a value of 10−9 s, but values ranging from 10−8 to 10−12 s have been reported in literature. Here, by means of the field and frequency dependence of the complex magnetic susceptibility, χ(ω,H)′(ω,H)−iχ″(ω,H), of a magnetic fluid sample, in the MHz-GHz range, in conjunction with the determination of the sample decay function, b(t), the pre-factor τ0N is determined. b(t) is readily obtained through the inverse Fourier transformation relationship, which exists between b(t) and χ″(ω).  相似文献

A 16 × 10-Gb/s optical time-division-multiplexing (OTDM) 100-km transmission system with home-made multiplexer is demonstrated experimentally. A demultiplexer based on two cascaded electro-absorption modulator (EAM) and a clock recovery unit form a feedback loop. Error-free demultiplexing from 160-Gb/s to 10-Gb/s after over 100-km transmission is achieved. The power penalty is about 3.5 dB with the bit error rate of 10−9.  相似文献

We have studied the effect of Fe substitution on magnetic and magnetocaloric properties in La0.7Sr0.3Mn1−xFexO3 (x=0.05, 0.07, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20) over a wide temperature range (T=10-400 K). It is shown that substitution by Fe gradually decreases the ferromagnetic Curie temperature (TC) and saturation magnetization up to x=0.15 but a dramatic change occurs for x=0.2. The x=0.2 sample can be considered as a phase separated compound in which both short-range ordered ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic phases coexist. The magnetic entropy change (−ΔSm) was estimated from isothermal magnetization curves and it decreases with increase of Fe content from 4.4 J kg−1 K−1 at 343 K (x=0.05) to 1.3 J kg−1 K−1 at 105 K (x=0.2), under ΔH=5 T. The La0.7Sr0.3Mn0.93Fe0.07O3 sample shows negligible hysteresis loss, operating temperature range over 60 K around room temperature with refrigerant capacity of 225 J kg−1, and magnetic entropy of 4 J kg−1 K−1 which will be an interesting compound for application in room temperature refrigeration.  相似文献

The oxygen nonstoichiometry of La0.6Sr0.4FeO3 − δ was measured at intermediate temperatures (773 to 1173 K) between 1 bar and the decomposition oxygen partial pressure by thermogravimetry and coulometric titration. The decomposition of the ABO3 perovskite phase was found to occur at low oxygen partial pressures (below 10− 20 bar). Using an atmosphere-controlled high-temperature XRD setup, the rhombohedral lattice parameters were obtained between 10− 4 and 1 bar at 773 to 1173 K. A phase transition from rhombohedral to cubic might be expected to occur at high temperatures and for δ near the plateau at δ = [Sr] / 2. The lattice expansion was separated into “pure” thermal and chemically induced expansion by combining the lattice parameters with the oxygen nonstoichiometry data. The linear thermal expansion was formulated with a “pure” thermal expansion coefficient of αth = 11.052 · 10− 6 K− 1 and a chemical expansion coefficient of αchem = 1.994 · 10− 2.The results were compared with previous data obtained for La0.6Sr0.4Co1 − yFeyO3 − δ with y = 0.2-0.8. La0.6Sr0.4FeO3 − δ was confirmed to show the highest thermo-chemical stability. While the chemical expansion of La0.6Sr0.4Co1 − yFeyO3 − δ seems little affected by the iron content, the thermal expansion coefficient was the lowest for La0.6Sr0.4FeO3 − δ.  相似文献

The two substates v4 = 20 (A1, 983.702 cm−1) and v4 = 2±2 (E, 986.622 cm−1) of the oblate symmetric top molecule, 14NF3, have been studied by high-resolution (2.5 × 10−3 cm−1) infrared spectroscopy of the overtones and 2ν4 − ν4 hot bands. Transitions of the overtone, the hot band, and the previously measured fundamental band were combined to yield 585 ground state combination differences differing in K by ±3, with Kmax = 36. Using the “loop-method,” a fit (standard deviation σ = 0.320 × 10−3 cm−1) provided a complete set of the hitherto not experimentally known axial ground state constants. In units of cm−1 these have the following values: . Upper state parameters were determined using a vibrationally isolated model. Considering l (2, 2) and l (2, −1) interactions between the v4 = 20 and v4 = 2±2 substates and effects accounting for the l (4, −2) interactions within the kl = −2 levels, 25 upper state parameters were obtained by fitting 2747 IR data (1842 transitions, 905 deduced energies, Jmax = 42, Kmax = 39) with σIR = 0.353 × 10−3 cm−1. Moreover, millimeter-wave spectroscopy furnished 86 transitions (Jmax = 16, Kmax = 13) measured on the v4 = 2 excited state. A merged fit, refining 24 parameters using the described model gave σIR = 0.365 × 10−3 cm−1 andσMMW = 0.855 × 10−6 cm−1 (26 kHz). The anharmonicity constants (in cm−1) are x44 = −0.84174 (2) and g44 =  + 0.73014 (1). In addition to this model, the D, Q, and L reductions of the rovibrational Hamiltonian were tested. Standard deviations σIR = 0.375 × 10−3 cm−1 and σMMW = 0.865 × 10−6 cm−1 were obtained for both D and L reductions, and σIR = 0.392 × 10−3 cm−1 and σMMW = 0.935 × 10−6 cm−1 for Q reduction. The unitary equivalence of the majority of the 18 tested relations between the derived parameters was satisfactorily fulfilled. This confirms that the v4 = 2 excited vibrational state can be considered in reasonable approximation to be isolated.  相似文献

Phase relationships, thermal expansion and electrical properties of Mg1 − xFexO (x = 0.1-0.45) cubic solid solutions and Fe3 − x − yMgxCryO4 ± δ (x = 0.7-0.95; y = 0 or 0.5) spinels were studied at 300-1770 K in the oxygen partial pressure range from 10 Pa to 21 kPa. Increasing iron content enlarges the spinel phase stability domain at reduced oxygen pressures and elevated temperatures. The total conductivity of the spinel ceramics is predominantly n-type electronic and is essentially p(O2)-independent within the stability domain. The computer simulations using molecular dynamics technique confirmed that overall level of ion diffusion remains low even at high temperatures close to the melting point. Temperature dependencies of the total conductivity in air exhibit a complex behavior associated with changing the dominant defect-chemistry mechanism from prevailing formation of the interstitial cations above 1370-1470 K to the generation of cation vacancies at lower temperatures, and with kinetically frozen cation redistribution in spinel lattice below 700-800 K. The average thermal expansion coefficients of the spinel ceramics calculated from dilatometric data in air vary in the range (9.6-10.0) × 10− 6 K− 1 at 300-500 K and (13.2-16.1) × 10− 6 K− 1 at 1050-1370 K. Mg1 − xFexO solid solutions undergo partial decomposition on heating under oxidizing and mildly reducing conditions, resulting in the segregation of spinel phase and conductivity decrease.  相似文献

The Tb0.29(Dy1−xPrx)0.71Fe1.97 (x=0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3) alloys were prepared by directional solidification method. The orientation, magnetostriction λ, Curie temperature Tc and microstructure of alloys were characterized by XRD, standard resistant strain gauge technique, VSM and SEM-EDS. The results reveal that the alloys have a preferred orientation of 〈1 1 0〉 and 〈1 1 3〉 direction when x>0. With the increase in Pr content, the Tc of alloys decreases gradually and the non-cubic phase appears, resulting in the decline of λ dramatically, from 1935.2×10−6 for x=0 to 695.9×10−6 for x=0.3 at a compressive stress of 6 MPa and a magnetic field of H=240 kA m−1.  相似文献

In a discharged supersonic jet of Cl2, transitions of the D′ 2g(3P2)-A3Π(2u) system for 35Cl2 were observed directly by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy. By a discharge in Cl2, the Cl2 molecules were populated into the A′ state, which is a metastable and optically forbidden state, from the state. An ultraviolet laser radiation excites the molecules to the D′ ion-pair state. A set of Dunham parameters for the A′ state is determined from a global least-squares fitting for 59 vibronic bands with v″ = 0-7. In the fitting, the previously reported data, T(v) and B(v) for the v = 14 and 15 bands of the A′ state [T. Ishiwata, A. Ishiguro, K. Obi, J. Mol. Spectrosc. 147 (1991) 300-320], were included. Y00 = 57295.723(5) cm−1 of the D′ state [J.-H. Si, T. Ishiwata, K. Obi, J. Mol. Spectrosc. 147 (1991) 334-345] was also included in the global fitting in order to determine the absolute position of the A′ state. The determined parameters of the A′ state are Y00 = 17171.506(14), Y10 = 255.915(85), Y20 = −4.465(70), Y30 = −8.7(23) × 10−2, Y40 = 6.3(35) × 10−3, Y50 = −4.9(26) × 10−4, Y60 = 1.43(69) × 10−5, Y01 = 0.16282(15), Y11 = −2.363(68) × 10−3, Y21 = −5.01(93) × 10−5, and Y31 = −3.01(36) × 10−6 (in cm−1 and one standard deviations of the fit in parentheses). The absolute position of the A′ state is determined with good accuracy.  相似文献

The infrared spectrum of [1.1.1]propellane has been recorded at high resolution (0.002 cm−1) with individual rovibrational lines resolved for the first time. This initial report presents the ground state constants for this molecule determined from the analysis of five of the eight infrared-allowed fundamentals ν9(e′), ν10(e′), ν12(e′), , as well as of several combination bands. In nearly all cases it was found that the upper states of the transitions exhibit some degree of perturbation but, by use of the combination difference method, the assigned frequencies provided over 4000 consistent ground state difference values. Analysis of these gave for the parameters of the ground state the following values, in cm−1: B0 = 0.28755833(14), DJ = 1.1313(5) × 10−7, DJK = −1.2633(7) × 10−7, HJ = 0.72(4) × 10−13, HJK = −2.24(13) × 10−13, and HKJ = 2.25(15) × 10−13, where the numbers in parentheses indicate twice the uncertainties in the last quoted digit(s) of the parameters. Gaussian ab initio calculations, especially with the computed anharmonic corrections to some of the spectroscopic parameters, assisted in the assignments of the bands and also provided information on the electron distribution in the bridge-head carbon-carbon bond.  相似文献

The optical absorption studies of single crystals are also carried out at room temperature in the wavelength range 195-925 nm. Using EPR and optical data, different bonding parameters are calculated and the nature of bonding in the crystal is discussed. Optical homodyne receivers based on modified Dither Optical Phase-Locked Loop is analyzed taking into account the laser phase noise, photo detectors shot noise and the dither signal. This modified loop contains all the components of a standard Dither OPLL in conjunction of an additional phase modulator. This modified loop considerably improves the performance of the homodyne reception technique over the earlier technique with the help of commercially available external cavity lasers with line-width of about few hundred kHz. This modified dither OPLL seems a realistic approach for receiving modulated signal for inter-satellite communication systems. This modified technique provides the advantage of low weight, small size and above low cost because the proposed technique significantly reduces the requirement of very narrow line-width lasers. This modified dither loop shows good improvements in the reduction performance over previously reported methods, like, less system power penalty, relaxed line-width requirement.  相似文献

An endlessly single mode highly polarization maintaining nonlinear microstructure fiber at telecommunication window is reported via full-vector finite element method. By taking three ring hexagonal PCF with suitable fiber parameter such as air hole diameter in cladding region d = 0.8 μm, pitch 2.3 μm and introducing four symmetrical large air holes near core region d′ = 2 μm, single mode (Veff ≤ π), small effective mode area 2.7 μm2, nonlinear co-efficient 44.39 W−1 km−1, high phase birefringence of the order of 10−3 and group birefringence of the order of 10−4 with beat length 0.3 μm at wavelength 1.55 μm are achieved.  相似文献

A periodic add/drop system in a fiber ring network was investigated using a reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM) in a re-circulating fiber loop. After seven cascaded add/drop nodes at every 150 km along the transmission, at bit error ratio (BER) equals to 10−9 and data rate of 10 Gbps, we observed a 2.5 dB power penalty for the passing through channels with 1050 km transmission distance, and 0.3 dB sensitivity penalty variation for the periodic add/drop channels at every 150 km, respectively.  相似文献

We investigated magnetocaloric effect in La0.45Pr0.25Ca0.3MnO3 by direct methods (changes in temperature and latent heat) and indirect method (magnetization isotherms). This compound undergoes a first-order paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition with TC=200 K upon cooling. The paramagnetic phase becomes unstable and it transforms into a ferromagnetic phase under the application of magnetic field, which results in a field-induced metamagnetic transition (FIMMT). The FIMMT is accompanied by release of latent heat and temperature of the sample as evidenced from differential scanning calorimetry and thermal analysis experiments. A large magnetic entropy change of ΔSm=−7.2 J kg−1 K−1 at T=212.5 K and refrigeration capacity of 228 J kg−1 are found for a field change of ΔH=5 T. It is suggested that destruction of magnetic polarons and growth of ferromagnetic phase accompanied by a lattice volume change with increasing magnetic field is responsible for the large magnetocaloric effect in this compound.  相似文献

The gas phase infrared emission spectrum of the A3Σ-X3Π electronic transition of SiC has been observed using a high resolution Fourier transform spectrometer. Three bands ν′ − ν″ = 0-1, 0-0, and 1-0 have been observed in the 2770, 3723, and 4578 cm−1 regions, where the 0-1 and 0-0 bands were observed for the first time. The SiC radical was generated by a dc discharge in a flowing mixture of hexamethyl disilane [(CH3)6Si2] and He. A total of 1074 rotational transitions assigned to the 0-1, 0-0, and 1-0 bands have been combined in a simultaneous analysis with previously reported pure rotational data to determine the molecular constants for SiC in the two electronic states. The principal equilibrium molecular constants for the A3Σ state are: Be = 0.6181195(18) cm−1, αe = 0.0051921(20) cm−1, re = 1.8020884(26) Å, and Te = 3773.31(17) cm−1, with one standard deviation given in parentheses. The effect of a perturbation was recognized between the ν = 4 level of X3Π and the ν = 0 level of A3Σ, and the analysis was carried out to determine the interaction parameter between the two states.  相似文献
