This paper studies the focusing properties of Gaussian Schell-model
(GSM) beams by an astigmatic aperture lens. It is shown that the
axial irradiance distribution, the maximum axial irradiance and its
position of focused GSM beams by an astigmatic aperture lens depend
upon the astigmatism of the lens, the coherence of partially
coherent light, the truncation parameter of the aperture and Fresnel
number. The numerical calculation results are given to illustrate

The analytical expression for the spectrum of spatially and spectrally partially coherent cosh-Gaussian pulsed (ChGP) beams focused by an aperture lens is derived and used to study their spectral properties at the focal plane and on the axis. The effect of the truncation parameter, spatial correlation parameter, decentered parameter and temporal coherence length on the spectral shifts and spectral switches of spatially and spectrally partially coherent ChGP beams is stressed. Based on the propagation law of partially coherent beams, the propagation equations of the partially coherent vortex beams focused by an aperture lens are derived. Based on these equations, the focal shift of partially coherent vortex beams is studied, and illustrative numerical results are given. It is found that the focal shift of the partially coherent vortex is dependent not only on the Fresnel number but also on the relative coherent length and the topological charge of the vortex. 相似文献

Starting from the propagation law of partially coherent light, the on-axis spectral shifts and spectral switches of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams focused by an astigmatic aperture lens are studied. It is shown that, as compared with an aberration-free case whose spectral shifts and spectral switches are induced by spatial correlation and aperture diffraction, the spectral shifts and spectral switches of GSM beams also depend upon the astigmatism of the lens for an astigmatism case. In recent years the partially coherent beams have attracted very much due to novel properties and its applications. In this paper the tight focusing properties of radially polarized partially coherent dark hollow beam (DHB) through a high numerical aperture lens are investigated numerically based on vectorial Debye theory in detail. The result shows that the optical intensity distribution in the focal region directly fluctuates due to small change in coherence length and high numerical aperture angle of the focused radially polarized partially coherent DHB. 相似文献

Based on the beam coherent-polarization (BCP) matrix approach and propagation law of partially coherent beams, the focal shift and focal switch of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams passing through a system with the aperture and spherically aberrated lens separated is studied in detail. Our main attention is focused on the effect of spherical aberration and partial coherence on the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams. It is shown that for polarizer-free case there is no focal switch of PGSM beams, the focal shift of PGSM beams is closely related with spherical aberration coefficient C4, auto-coherence length σa, truncation parameter δ and relative position s/f between the aperture and lens in general, and is independent of the cross-coherence length σc. After inserting a polarizer the focal switch can take place. Numerical calculation results are given to illustrate how the spherical aberration and partial coherence affect the focal shift and focal switch of PGSM beams. 相似文献

We have derived the analytical expression of the electric cross-spectral density in the near-field of partially coherent vortex beams diffracted by an aperture. Taking the Gaussian Schell-model vortex beam as a typical example of partially coherent vortex beams, the spatial correlation properties and correlation vortices in the near-field of partially coherent vortex beams diffracted by a rectangle aperture are studied. It is shown that the off-axis displacement, spatial degree of coherence parameter, propagation distance, and the opening factor of the aperture affect the spectral degree of coherence and positions of correlation vortices. With the optimization algorithm, we obtain the symmetric distributing coherent vortex. 相似文献

The spectral behaviors of pulsed Hermite-cosh-Gaussian (HChG) beams focused by an aperture lens are studied. The propagation equation for the power spectra of pulsed HChG beams focused by an aperture lens is derived and used to study the spectral anomalies of pulsed HChG beams in the focused field. Numerical results are given to illustrate the dependence of spectral anomalies behavior on the pulse parameter and truncation parameter. Based on the propagation law of partially coherent beams, the closed-form propagation expression for partially coherent cosh-Gaussian (ChG) beams through an astigmatic lens is derived. The transformation and spatial shaping of partially coherent ChG beams through the astigmatic lens are studied and illustrated by numerical examples. It is shown that a suitable choice of the spatial coherence parameter and/or astigmatic coefficient, different beam profiles, such as Gaussian-like, flat-topped and bottle beam profiles, and beam profile with a central dip, at the geometric focal plane and at a certain plane are realizable. 相似文献

通过加入高斯项的空间相干度,引入部分相干双曲余弦-高斯(ChG)光束,推导出部分相干ChG光束通过近轴ABCD光学系统传输的解析表达式,并用以研究其传输特性和空间整形。结果表明,部分相干ChG光束的光强分布不能保持传输不变性,其光强分布不仅与传输距离和离心参数有关,而且还与空间相干参数有关。在传输距离固定时,适当改变部分相干ChG 光束的离心参数和空间相干参数,可实现光束的空间整形。光束质量因子随空间相干性的增大和离心参数的减小而减小。高斯-谢尔模型光束和完全相干ChG光束可作为部分相干ChG光束的特例处理。 相似文献

Propagation properties of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model beams through an astigmatic lens
Based on the beam coherent-polarization (BCP) matrix approach and propagation law of partially coherent beams, analytical propagation equations of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams through an astigmatic lens are derived, which enables us to study the propagation-induced polarization changes and irradiance distributions at any propagation distance of PGSM beams through an astigmatic lens within the framework of the paraxial approximation. Detailed numerical results for a PGSM beam passing through an astigmatic lens are presented. A comparison with the aberration-free case is made, and shows that the astigmatism affects the propagation properties of PGSM beams. 相似文献

We theoretically investigated on the focal shift of flat-topped beams (FTBs) passing through a lens system with or without aperture. We find that the position of on-axis peak intensity of focused FTBs strongly depends on the Fresnel number, the flatness order of FTBs, the truncation of the aperture, as well as the relative incident distance. The results indicate that the focal shift away from the geometrical focus of the focused FTBs appears when the relative incident distance does not equal to 1 and increases with the decreasing of the Fresnel number or the beam flatness order for both the apertured and unapertured lens systems. In the lens system with aperture, the focal shift effect decreases with the increase of the truncation parameter. 相似文献

It is found that the propagation and focusing properties of a partially coherent EHGB are closely related to its initial coherence.
A partially coherent EHGB spreads slower than a partially coherent SHGB in free-space propagation. A partially coherent EHGB
