Summary Three new CuII trinuclear complexes, namely [Cu3(BZT)(phen)3(ClO4)3]·6H2O (1), [Cu3(BZT)(Nphen)3 (ClO4)3]·6H2O (2) and [Cu3(BZT)(bipy)3 (ClO4)3]·3H2O (3) (BZT) = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylato, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, Nphen = 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline, bipy = 2,2-bipyridyl, have been synthesized, with 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylato as the bridged ligand, and characterized by elemental analysis, and i.r. and electronic reflection spectra. We propose that the complexes have an extended 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylatobridged structure containing three CuII atoms. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibilities of the complexes were measured in the 77–300 K range. The magnetic coupling parameters are consistent with an antiferromagnetic exchange model based on the Hamiltonian operator [=–2J( 1 2+ 1 3+ 2 3, where S 1=S 2=S 3=1/2, giving the antiferromagnetic coupling parameters of 2J = – 18.6 cm-1 for (1)–(3).  相似文献

Four new complexes of [14]N4 macrocyclic oxamides, namely [CuL1], [CuL2], [(CuL1)3Mn](ClO4)3 and [(CuL2)3 Mn](ClO4)3 [L1 and L2 are the dianions of 2,3-dioxo-5,6: 3,14-dibenzo-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,11-diene (H2L1) and 2,3-dioxo-5,6:13,14-dibenzo-9-methyl-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclo-tetradeca-7,11-diene (H2L2), respectively], have been prepared and characterized. The observed magnetic susceptibilities of the [(CuL1)3Mn] (ClO4)3 complex over the ca. 2–300 K range have been fitted to theoretical equations based on the Heisenberg spin Hamiltonian =–2JMn(Cu1+ Cu2+Cu3) and molecular field approximation. The results indicated that both the intramolecular and intermolecular magnetic interactions are antiferromagnetic with JCuMn= –19.8cm–1 and zJ=–1.41cm–1.  相似文献

Summary Two novel trinuclear complexes were prepared, namely [Cu2(oxae)2(H2O)2M] (ClO4)2, [oxae = N,N-bis(2-aminoethyl) oxamido dianion; M = Co and Ni]. Based on elemental analyses, conductivity measurements and i.r. spectra, the complexes are proposed to have extended oxamidobridged structures. The magnetic susceptibility of [Cu2-(oxae) 2(H2O)2Co](ClO4)2 were measured over the 4–300 K range and the observed data were successfully simulated by an equation based on the spin Hamiltonian, =–2J(1·2·2·3). The exchange integral, J, was found to be equal to –29.2 cm–1, indicating an antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction between the adjacent metal ions.  相似文献

The proton–ligand stability constants of -pyridoin thiosemicarbazone, -pyridoin 2–methylthiosemicarbazone, -pyridoin 4–methylthiosemicarbazone and -pyridoin (4–phenylthiosemicarbazone) as well as the formation constants of their chelates with CuII, NiII, CoII, ZnII and MnII have been determined. The Calvin–Bjerrum pH titration techniques, as modified by Irving and Rossotti, were employed in aqueous media at different ionic strengths and temperatures. The stability constants of the complexes follow the order: CuII > NiII > CoII > ZnII >MnII which is in accord with the Irving–Williams series. The chelates derived from -pyridoin 4–phenylthiosemicarbazone have relatively higher stability constants, which may be attributed to the presence of the benzene ring in the chain.  相似文献

Summary Four novel manganese(II) binuclear complexes have been prepared and characterized, namely [Mn2(TCPHTA)(L)4]-(ClO4)2 [where L is 2,2-bipyridyl (bipy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 4,4-dimethyl-2,2-bipyridyl (Me2bipy) or 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (NO2-phen) and TCPHTA is the tetrachlorophthalate dianion]. Based on i.r. spectra, elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, extended tetrachlorophthalato-bridged structures consisting of two manganese(II) ions in which each manganese(II) ion has a distorted octahedral environment are proposed for these structures. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility for [Mn2(TCPHTA)(phen)4]-(ClO4)2·H2O was measured over the 4–300 K range and the observed data were successfully simulated by an equation based on the spin Hamiltonian operator ( = –2J 1· 2), giving the exchange integralJ = –1.05 cm–1. This result is indication of a weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction between the metal ions.  相似文献

A binuclear complex [Cu2(DTB)(DMF)4(H2O)]·2DMF (DTB = 1,4-dinitro-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylatobenzenic anion; DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) has been synthesized and its crystal structure determined by X-ray crystallography. In the complex Cu ion is located in a distorted square pyramidal environment with two oxygen atoms O(1) and O(3) from two carboxylate groups, another two oxygen atoms O(7) and O(8) from terminal ligands of two DMF molecules, and a fifth coordinated oxygen atom O(9) from the terminal ligand of one H2O molecule, in which the O(8) atom is situated in the apex of the pyramid. DTB as bridging ligand coordinates two Cu ions through its four carboxylate groups. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility of the complex was measured in the 5–300 K range. The magnetic coupling parameter is consistent with a ferromagnetic exchange between the two copper(II) centers and the data fit a binuclear magnetic exchange model based on the Hamiltonian operator ( = -2J12, 1 = 2= 1/2), giving the ferromagnetic coupling parameter of 2J = 1.80 cm- 1. This is the first example of a tetracarboxylatobenzenic bridging complex exhibiting ferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献

Three nickel(II) dinuclear carbonato-bridged complexes: (-CO3)[Ni(TAA)]2(ClO4)2·4H2O (1), (-CO3)[Ni(TTA)]2- (ClO4)2·2H2O (2), (-CO3)[Ni(cyclam)]2(ClO4)2 (3) [TAA =N(CH2CH2NH2)3,TTA=triethylenetetramine,cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane] have been prepared. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility for (1), (2) and (3) were measured over the 77–300K range and the observed data were successfully simulated by an equation based on the spin Hamiltonian operator (H= –2JS1S2), giving the exchange integral J=–7.75cm–1 for (1), J=–1.23 cm–1 for (2) and J=–40.26cm–1 for (3).  相似文献

The preparation of the nickel(II) complex of the diazacyclam ligand 1,3,6,10,12,15-hexaazatricyclo [13.3.1.16,10]eicosane (2) by the reaction of the nickel(II) complex of N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane with formaldehyde in MeOH solution is described. The crystal structure of [NiL](ClO4)2 has been determined. The nickel atom is four coordinate and planar with Ni-N bond lengths of 1.969(4) and 1.928(3)Å in a centrosymmetric structure. The basic diazacyclam ring system has a trans III configuration with the two additional six-membered rings fused in a chair conformation. The kinetics of the metal exchange:for the nickel complexes (1) and (2) have been studied in detail. Under the experimental conditions employed, with copper(II) in at least a tenfold excess, the reaction is independent of the copper(II) concentration. The copper(II) effectively scavenges the free ligand as the nickel(II) complex dissociates. For the nickel complex (1) k = 2 × 10–4 s–1 at 60°C and H = 126 ± 5 kJmol–1 and S298 = 61 ± 15 JK–1mol–1. For the complex (2), k = 1.8 × 10–4 s–1 at 60°C and H = 99 ± 6 kJmol–1 and S298 = –21 ± 10 JK–1 mol–1.  相似文献

The preparation of the diamide ligand N,N-bis(2-carbamoylethyl)ethylenediamine (H2L) by Michael addition of ethylenediamine to acrylamide is described. The copper(II) complex [Cu(H2L)](ClO4)2 and the deprotonated complex [CuL]·H2O have been prepared and characterized as has the blue octahedral nickel(II) complex [Ni(H2L)](ClO4)2. The crystal structure of the carbonyl-oxygen-bonded copper(II) complex [Cu(H2L)] (ClO4)2 has been determined (R=5.5%). The stepwise protonation equilibria of the ligand have been studied by potentiometric titration, giving values of logK1= 8.71 and logK2=5.74 at 25°C and I=0.1moldm–3 (NaClO4). The interaction of copper(II) with the ligand (H2L/Cu(II)=1:1) can be fitted to the set of equilibria:With nickel(II), only two complexes, [Ni(H2L)]2+ and [NiL], occur and they have formation constants of log110=7.39 and log 11–2=–11.49. With palladium- (II) the system is similar to that with copper(II) with three complex species, 110, 11–1 and 11–2, with log 110=15.48, log 11–1=11.88 and log 11–2=7.32.  相似文献

Summary Heterotrinuclear CrIII-PdII-CrIII complexes of formulae [Cr(salen)-Pd(dmg)2-Cr(salen)]·H2O (1), [Cr(salen)-Pd(-BD) 2-Cr(salen)]·H2O (2) and [Cr(salen)-Pd(-FD) 2-Cr(salen)]·2H2O (3) [dmg2- =dimethyl-glyoximato, (-BD)2/2- = -benzyldioximato, (-FD)2/2- = -furildioximato and salen2– = N,N-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminate)] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. and electronic spectroscopies, and molar conductances. These complexes are thought to contain extended diomixato bridges. The magnetic properties of complex (1) has been investigated over the 80–300 K range and corresponds to what is expected for an antiferromagnetic CrIII-CrIIIi pair with S Cr = 3/2 and S Pd = 0 (Pd2+ is a diamagnetic in a square-planar environment) local spins. The exchange integral (J) was evaluated as -3.38cm–1 using the spin Hamiltonians = -2J A B(S A = S B = 3/2).  相似文献

Summary Two new dioximato-bridged trinuclear CrII-CuII-CrIII complexes, [Cr(salen)-Cu(-BD)2-Cr(salen)] (1) and [Cr(salen)-Cu(-FD)2-Cr(salen)]-H2O (2), have been prepared and characterized [salen2– = N,N-ethylene- bis (salicylideneiminate), (-BD)2– = -benzyldioximato and (-FD)2– = -furildioximato]. Magnetic susceptibility measurements in the 4.2–300 K range demonstrated the operation of a ferromagnetic interaction between the adjacent CrIII and CuII ions through oximato bridges in both (1) and (2). Based on spin Hamiltonians =–2J(12+23)(S1=S3=3/2,S2=1/2) the exchange integrals (J) were evaluated as 3.19 and 5.38 cm–1 for (1) and (2), respectively.  相似文献

Summary Two novel MnII-MnIII-MnII oxalato complexes have been synthesized and characterized, namely [Mn2Mn(ox)3(L)4](ClO4) [L = 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) or 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (NO2-phen), respectively], where ox stands for the oxalate dianion. Based on i.r., elemental analyses and electronic spectra, these complexes are proposed to have extended oxalatobridged structures consisting of MnII and MnIII ions, in which MnIII and each MnII ion has a distorted octahedral environment. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility for [Mn2Mn(ox)3(phen)4] (ClO4) was measured over the 4.1–300 K range and the observed data were successfully simulated by an equation based on the spin-Hamiltonian operator ( = -2J( 1 2 + 2 3)), giving the exchange integral J = -1.57cm–1. This indicates weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction between MnII and MnIII ions.  相似文献

Three new -oxalato-bridged heterotrinuclear copper(II)–iron(III)–copper(II) complexes have been synthesized and identified: [Cu2Fe(ox)3L2]ClO4 [L = 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (NO2phen); 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Me2phen) or 2,2-bipyridine (bpy), respectively]; ox = the oxalato dianions. Based on elemental analyses, molar conductivity and magnetic moment (at room-temperature) measurements, i.r. and electronic spectral studies, extended ox-bridged structures consisting of two copper(II) and an iron(III) ions, in which the central iron(III) ion has an octahedral environment and the end-capped two copper(II) ions a square-planar environment, are proposed for these complexes. The [Cu2Fe(ox)3(Me2phen)2]ClO4 (1) and [Cu2Fe(ox)3(bpy)2]ClO4 (2) complexes were characterized further by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility (4.2–300 K) measurements and the observed data were simulated by the equation based on the spin Hamiltonian operator, = –2J1 · 2, giving the exchange integrals J = –12.85 cm–1 for (1) and J = –11.28 cm–1 for (2). The results indicate the presence of an antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction between the copper(II) and iron(III) ions through the oxalato-bridge in both complexes (1) and (2).  相似文献

Depending on crystallization conditions, dianilinegossypol and ethylacetate form low (ambient temperature, -phase) and high temperature (t = 35°C, -phase) clathrate modifications. The structure of the -phase has been discussed earlier [1]. Crystals of the 1 : 1 -phase complex, C42H40O6N2·C4O2H8, are monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 11.362(6), b = 19.479(9), c = 19.085(9) Å, = 103.21(4)°, V = 4112(3)Å3, Z = 4, R = 0.084 for 3210 observed reflections. In these complexes centrosymmetric dimers of dianilinegossypol molecules formed via O(5)—H···O(3) hydrogen bonds are associated into columns by a weak O(8)—H···O(7) H-bond. A difference in the structure of these two phases is in the packing mode of the columns. The angle formed by intersecting host columns is about 126° for the -phase and 104° for the -modification. Guest molecules are hydrogen bonded to the host molecules via an O(1)—H···O(10) bond and are accommodated in channels in -phase complex and in cavities in -phase complex.  相似文献

An extraction-spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of iron based on its extraction into chloroform with 2-(2-benzothiazolylazo)-4,6-dimethylphenol (BTADMP) from a pH 6.5 medium has been developed. The extracted 12 FeBTADMP complex species allow the determination of 4–30gmg of iron (=3.92×1041·mol–1·cm–1 at 790 nm). The method is highly selective and has been applied to the determination of iron in polymineral-polyvitamin pharmaceutical products.  相似文献

The MT versus T plot exhibits a minimum at ca. 93 K, characteristic of this type of coupled polymetallic complex with an irregular spin-state structure.  相似文献

A survey of top soil environmental radioactivity in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria has bean investigated. The results vary considerably from one environment to another ranging between a minimum of 161 mBq·g–1 and a maximum value of 648 mBq·g–1 -activity. The work reveals that hospitals and health centres lead in top soil radioactivity with the highest mean values of (378 mBq·g–1) and (294 mBq·g–1) followed closely by industrial areas with mean values of (372 mBq·g–1) and (283 mBq· g–1) trailing beaches and recreation centres having average values of (364 mBq·g–1) and (273 mBq·g–1). Lower levels of top soil radioactivity were observed mostly in environments with high level human interaction activity such as schools, offices, environments and recreation centres. An overall top soil mean of 342 mBq·g–1 -activity, 271 mBq·g–1 -activity and 71 mBq·g–1 -activity were observed in the State.  相似文献
