Possible occurrence of scaling of differential cross-section for high energy hadronnucleus elastic scattering is demonstrated
takingp-4He scattering as an example and using three well-known scaling variables proposed earlier for hadron-hadron scattering. The
available data on differential cross-section ratio betweenE
lab=45 and 393 GeV are found to scale in all the three variables reasonably well and the positions of the dip and the secondary
maximum are found to follow the predicted patterns of behaviour as a function of energy. Extrapolating the fits to the available
slope-parameter data onto higher energies and using the scaling curves, the positions of the dip and the secondary maximum
and the differential cross-section ratio as a function of |t| are predicted for higher energies. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a model of calculation with respect to the interactions of high-energy nuclei with matter. Based
on this model, we obtain results on energy and angular spectra of the n- and π−-particles produced in collisions of deuterium and tritium nuclei at energiesT
d=1 GeV/nucleon with light targets such as Li, Be. We have also estimated the production yields of neutrons and π−-mesons in targets of various radii, as well as mean energies of these these particles. Summarizing, we find that the lithium
target of radiusR=10−12 cm for which the energy cost επ to produce one π−-meson is estimated as 6.7 GeV/π for a d-beam and 5.3 GeV/π for a t-beam is the most preferred pion-production target. 相似文献

Based on an α-particle model of 12C, an optical potential for intermediate-energy proton- 12C scattering is presented in the framework of the KMT theory. The parameterized proton- 4He amplitude, the required basic input for constructing the optical potential, is obtained by fitting the proton- 4He scattering data. The differential cross-sections and analyzing powers of the proton- 12C elastic scattering at incident energies ranging from 0.2 to 1.0GeV have been calculated by using the obtained optical potential.
The main features of the measured angular distributions of the cross-section and the analyzing power can be satisfactorily
described. The proton- 12C total cross-sections have also been calculated, and the results are in good agreement with the experimental data at energies
below 0.6GeV but underestimate the data about 6% at higher energies. 相似文献

The observed polarisation of Λ hyperons from the inclusive pA → ΛX reaction at high energies has previously been well described within the Lund string model through polarised sˉs quark pair production in the string breaking hadronisation process. This model is here applied to the exclusive ˉpp → ˉΛΛ reaction at low energies and compared to available data sets down to an incident-beam momentum of 1.835 GeV/c. This required an extension of the diquark scattering model to involve three components: an isotropic part relevant close
to the threshold, a spectator part and a forward-scattering part as in pA → ΛX at high energies. The observed angular distributions are then reproduced and, for momentum transfers above | t'| = 0.2 GeV2, agreement with the measured polarisation is also obtained.

−-O2 ande
−-O3 scattering have been calculated at sample energies between 100 and 1000eV. The basice
−-O atom scattering amplitudes are obtained from the partial wave analysis with a complex optical potential. Thee
−-O2 ande
−-O3 cross-sections are obtained through the independent atom model. Oure

Recently published excitation functions in proton-proton (pp) elastic scattering observables in the laboratory energy range 0.5-2.5GeV provide an excellent data base to establish firm
upper limits on the elasticities ηel = Γel/Γtot of possible isovector resonant contributions to the nucleon-nucleon (NN) system. Such contributions have been predicted to arise from dibaryonic states, with c.m. masses between 2.1-2.9GeV/c2, but have not been confirmed experimentally. A method to determine quantitatively the maximum value of ηel compatible with experimental data is presented. We use energy-dependent phase shift fits to the pp data base to model the non-resonant interaction. Based upon the differential cross-section data measured by the EDDA Collaboration
an unbiased statistical test is constructed to obtain upper limits on ηel, that exclude larger values with a 99% confidence level. Results in the c.m. mass range 2.05-2.85GeV/c2 and total widths of 10-100MeV/c2 in the partial waves 1S0, 1D2, 3P0, 3P1, and 3F3 are presented and discussed. 相似文献

We study elastic α-particle scattering offp,α-particle and12C targets at 17.9 GeV/c incident momentum in the rigid projectile approximation of the Glauber model. Differential and total
cross-sections are computed and compared with the data. Reasonable agreement with the observed differential cross-sections
is found for small momentum transfers but short-range dynamical correlations in the target will probably have to be taken
into account to get better agreement at larger momentum transfers, particularly in the case of α-12C scattering. 相似文献

Photoproduction of η -mesons was studied with the Crystal-Barrel detector at ELSA for photon energies in the range from 0.75
to 3GeV. Total and differential cross-sections are presented. The η mesons are detected in two decay modes, in η → 2γ and
in η → 3π0 → 6γ . The cross-sections vary slowly as functions of energy and η production angle suggesting that only few resonances make
significant contributions to the cross-section. For photon energies above 1.5GeV, the differential cross-sections show a strong
forward peak due to meson exchanges in the t channel. A comparison of the η -photoproduction cross-sections with SAID and MAID as well as with a partial-wave analysis
performed on our data in combination with other data sets shows good agreement. The Bonn-Gatchina partial-wave analysis suggests
that the largest contribution to η photoproduction for energies below 3GeV proceeds via three resonances, the well-known N(1535)S
11 , via N(1720)P
13 , and a newly suggested N(2070)D

A new high-energy beam polarimeter is proposed for Nuclotron, which uses the Internal Target Station (ITS). This polarimeter
based on a measurement of asymmetry for the d–p elastic scattering will allow one to measure simultaneously both vector and tensor components of deuteron beam polarization.
For this purpose an analyzing powers measurement for the d–p elastic scattering at energies T
d = 0.88–2 GeV is proposed. The precise measurements of the deuteron analyzing powers over the energy range T
d = 300–2000 MeV can give an irreplaceable clue to the study of the spin dependence of three nucleon forces.

The lowest momentum at which the total scattering cross-section data are available for Σ+
p and Σ−
p scattering is 145 MeV/c and 142.5 MeV/c respectively. Thus extracting low energy parameters amounts to extrapolating the
data to still lower energies. Using the analytic structure of foward scattering amplitude to advantage a parameterization

is presented which is hoped to be more reliable and stable for deriving results through extrapolation. The scattering lengths
and effective ranges for the Σ+

The pronounced dip-bump structure with a sharp minimum at |t| = 1.5 (GeV/c)2, recently observed in elastic p scattering at PL = 50 GeV/c at the CERN SPS, is explained by the quark multiple scattering model with a realistic wavefunction for the proton and the antiproton. The correlation-polarization (CP) model-potential, given by O’Connell and Lane (1983) as well as Padial and Norcross (1984)
is examined for the elastic scattering of electrons by oxygen atoms, at intermediate energies. The correlation potential is
found to be stronger than necessary at low energies. Two model polarization potentials based on the CP model, are suggested

We perform a systematic analysis of exclusive hadronic channels in e+e− collisions at center-of-mass energies between 2.1 and 2.6 GeV within the statistical hadronization model. Because of the
low multiplicities involved, calculations have been carried out in the full microcanonical ensemble, including conservation
of energy-momentum, angular momentum, parity, isospin, and all relevant charges. We show that the data are in an overall good
agreement with the model for an energy density of about 0.5 GeV/fm3 and an extra-strangeness suppression parameter γ
S

The angular dependence of the tensor A
yy and vector A
y analyzing powers in the inelastic scattering of deuterons with a momentum of 9.0 GeV/c on hydrogen and carbon has been measured. The range of measurements corresponds to the baryonic resonance excitation with
masses of ∼2.2–2.6 GeV/c
2. The A
yy data, being in good agreement with the previous results, demonstrate an approximate t scaling up to −1.5 (GeV/c)2. The large values of A
y show a significant role of the spin-dependent part of the elementary amplitude of the NN → NN* reaction. The results of the experiment are compared with model predictions of the plane-wave impulse approximation.

Photoproduction of π0-mesons was studied with the Crystal-Barrel detector at ELSA for incident energies from 300MeV to 3GeV. Differential cross-sections
dσ/dΩ, dσ/dt, and the total cross-section are presented. For E
γ < 3GeV, the angular distributions agree well with the SAID parametrization. At photon energies above 1.5GeV, a strong forward
peaking indicates t-channel exchange to be the dominant process. The rapid variations of the cross-section with energy and angle indicate production
of resonances. An interpretation of the data within the Bonn-Gatchina partial-wave analysis is briefly discussed. 相似文献

It is shown that the differential cross sections of the reactions dd → n
3He and dd → p
3H measured at a c.m.s. scattering angle θcm = 60° in the interval of the deuteron beam energy 0.5–1.2 GeV demonstrate the scaling behavior dσ/dt ∼ s
−22, which follows from constituent quark counting rules. It is found also that the differential cross section of the elastic
dp → dp scattering at θcm = 125°–135° follows the scaling regime ∼s
−16 at beam energies 0.5–5 GeV. These data are parameterized here using the Reggeon exchange.
