The category of Hilbert C*-modules over a given C*-algebra is shown to be equivalent to a certain simply described category of Hilbert bundles (i.e., continuous fields of Hilbert spaces) over the space of pure states of the C*-algebra with the zero functional adjoined.

Given a simple vertex algebra A \mathcal{A} and a reductive group G of automorphisms of A \mathcal{A} , the invariant subalgebra AG {\mathcal{A}^G} is strongly finitely generated in most examples where its structure is known. This phenomenon is subtle, and is generally not true of the classical limit of AG {\mathcal{A}^G} , which often requires infinitely many generators and infinitely many relations to describe. Using tools from classical invariant theory, together with recent results on the structure of the W1 + ¥ {\mathcal{W}_{{1 + }\infty }} algebra, we establish the strong finite generation of a large family of invariant subalgebras of βγ-systems, bc-systems, and bcβγ-systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the main result: Let both (K, S) and (K *,S *) be preordered fields, and let (K *,S *) be a finitely generated extension of (K, S). IfK * is transcendental overK, then (K *,S *) has the weak Hilbert property. This result answers negatively an open problem posed by the author in reference [1]. Hilbert and Beltrami (line- ) systems were introduced by H. Mohrmann, Math. Ann. 85 (1922) p.177- 183. These systems give examples of non- desarguesian affine planes, in fact, the earliest known examples are of this type. We describe a construction for “generalized Beltrami systems”, and show that every such system defines a topological affine plane with point set ?2. Since our construction uses only the topological structure of ?2- planes, it is possible to iterate this process. As an application, we obtain an embeddability theorem for a class of two- dimensional stable planes, including Strambach’s exceptional SL2R- plane.  相似文献

A noncommutative version of the Hilbert basis theorem is usedto show that certain R-symmetric algebras SR(V) are Noetherian.This result applies in particular to the coordinate ring ofquantum matrices AR(V) associated with an R-matrix R operatingon the tensor square of a vector space V, to show that, undera natural set of hypotheses on R, the algebra AR(V) is Noetherianand its augmentation ideal has a polynormal set of generators.As a corollary we deduce that these properties hold for thegeneric quantized function algebras Rq[G] over any field ofcharacteristic zero, for G an arbitrary connected, simply connected,semisimple group over C.
