The qualitative and quantitive compositions of fractions from the leaves of two self-pinching-out lines of cotton plant and of the standard variety 108-F have been determined in parallel by mass chromatography, and differences in their contents of the main metabolites have been determined. A fraction of the secondary metabolites (SMs) obtained from mature leaves of a cotton plant of the self-pinching-out line L-49 has shown a retardant activity in treatment of the growth points of plants of the Tashkent-1 variety. The composition and amount of lipids in the seeds and leaves of the cotton plant of variety 6524 S over the vegetation periods have been investigated. The rate of biosynthesis of neutral lipids in cotton seeds in the 20-day period after flowering to the moment of maturation increases by a factor of 1.6 while the amounts of phospho- and glycolipids decrease by factors of 3.9 and 4.3, respectively. The fatty acid compositions of the neutral lipids and of the phospho- and glycolipids of the seeds and leaves have been determined.Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbekistan Republic, Tashkent. The composition and structures of the hydroxylipids have been determined by a combination of the methods of IRS, UVS, GLC, and the mass spectrometry of TMS derivatives, and changes in the composition of the hydroxy acids taking place on artificial infection of the plant with the fungusVerticillium dahliae Kleb. have been revealed.Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances, Uzbekistan Republic Academy of Sciences, Tashkent. The components of cottonplant leaves have been studied. A GC-MS analysis has been made of the secondary metabolites (SMs) in the total extractives of the leaves of cotton plants with different phenotypic characteristics. It has been found that a change in the genotype leads to a change in the composition of the SMs.Deceased.Translated from Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 3, pp. 484–489, May–June, 1995. The composition of the cuticular lipids of young leaves of cotton plants of the wilt-resistant variety 175-F has been determined and it has been established that on artificial infection of the plant with cotton wilt(Verticilliuim dahliae) the component composition of these lipids did not change but the level of the 18:0, 18:1, and 18:2 acids in esters of fatty acids with alkanol, sterols, and triterpenols fell.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Uzbek. A study of the dioxane lignins of Althaea nudiflora and A. rosea   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Summary 1. The lignin has been isolated from the stems of the cotton plant of a late period of vegetation by the hydrochloric acid method. The elementary composition and functional groups have been determined. The mean composition for a C6-C3 structural unit has been determined.2. By the oxidation of a powder of the stems of the cotton plant with nitrobenzene in the presence of alkali it has been established that the hydrochloric acid lignin is more condensed than the DLA.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. The dioxane lignin (DLA) has been isolated from ripe stems of a cotton plant of the variety S-6524, and its empirical formula and molecular mass have been determined. This DLA differed from the DLA of a cotton plant of variety 108-F by a lower degree of hydroxylation and a higher degree of substitution of the aromatic rings.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, FAX (3712) 62 73 48. The dioxane lignin has been isolated from ripe stems of a cotton plant of the variety AN Bayaut-2. Its developed empirical formula has been derived, its UV, IR, and PMR spectra have been recorded, and its molecular weight has been determined. It has been shown that the dioxane lignins of the stems of cotton plants of different varieties differ in chemical structure.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. A comparative analysis has been made of the dioxane lignins of the stems, seedling shoots, and seed coats of the cotton plant. The ratio of p-hydroxyaromatic, guaiacyl, and syringyl units in the macromolecules of the lignins has been determined, and so have the amounts of functional groups and bonds. It has been established that the main difference between the dioxane lignins from seedling shoots and seed coats of the cotton plant, on the one hand, and the lignin from the woody stems, on the other hand is a lower content of syringyl and guaiacyl units in the former.Translated from Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 6, pp. 798–808, November–December, 1994.  相似文献

The compositions of the secondary metabolites (SMs) of the leaves and petioles of cotton plants of the deciduous and selection lines L-275, L-470, L-475, and 142-F and the variety Tashkent-1 have been studied. It has been shown that the level of -tocopherol and polyprenols in the leaf blades and petioles changes fairly sharply according to the phases of ontogenesis. The results of an exogenous treatment of the leaves of cotton plants of the control varieties Tashkent-1 and 108-F with the SMs showed an interrelationship of deciduousness and the quantitative composition of the sterols.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, fax (3712) 40 64 75. Summary An investigation of the phenol oxidase present in the leaves of the cotton plant according to its vegetation periods has been performed. From the leaves at the period of maximum phenol oxidase activity so found an enzyme with a molecular weight of 11,700 has been extracted, the homogeneity of which was shown by the rechromatography of DEAE-cellulose, ultracentrifugation, and disk electrophoresis.2. It has been established that the enzyme has a quaternary structure.3. The properties of the phenol oxidase have been studied. It belongs to the class of orthodiphenol oxidases (EC 1.10.3.1). It contains approximately 0.9 % of copper.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. The dioxane lignin has been isolated by Pepper's method from two-week shoots of the cotton plant of variety 108-F and has been separated into two fractions — insoluble and soluble in ether — DLA-A and DLA-B, respectively. It has been shown that in the early stage of development of the cotton plant a low-molecular-weight lignin with a low degree of methoxylation and distinctly different from the lignin from ripe stems of the same cotton plant is synthesized.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. The free, bound, and strongly bound lipids of the seed kernels of the cotton plant of variety 108-F have been studied. It has been shown that the free and bound lipids include 97.3% and 47.6% of neutral lipids, respectively. The polar lipids consist mainly of phospholipids and glycolipids. Summary The diglyceride and monoacetyldiglyceride derivatives of the phosphatidylcholines of the seed kernels of the cotton plant of variety S-6029 have been separated into individual subfractions in a thin layer of silica gel impregnated with silver nitrate. The total fatty-acid compositions of the individual subfractions and the position distributions of the fatty acids in the glyceride moiety of the molecules have been determined, and on this basis the molecular compositions of the phosphatidylcholines have been established: for the DGs 46 species and for the MADGs 43 species. It has been shown that in the cotton plant two types of molecular species are synthesized (mainly to the extent of 85%): Disaturateds and monosaturated-monosaturateds, the disaturateds being characterized by a greater diversity of species but a low amount.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent.
