[Co3(HCOO)6](CH3OH)(H2O) (1), the isostructural analogue of the porous magnet of coordination framework [Mn3(HCOO)6](CH3OH)(H2O), and its desolvated form [Co3(HCOO)6] (2) were prepared and characterized by X-ray and neutron diffraction methods, IR, thermal analyses, and BET, and their magnetic properties were measured. The parent compound, 1, crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c, a = 11.254(2) A, b = 9.832(1) A, c = 18.108(3) A, beta = 127.222(2) degrees , V = 1595.5(4) A3, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0329 at 180 K. It possesses a unit cell volume that is 9% smaller than [Mn3(HCOO)6](CH3OH)(H2O) due to the smaller radius of Co2+ ion. Compared with the parent compound 1, the desolvated compound 2 has slightly larger lattice with cell parameters of a = 11.2858(4) A, b = 9.8690(4) A, c = 18.1797(6) A, beta = 127.193(2) degrees , V = 1613.0(1) A3, R1 = 0.0356 at 180 K. The cell parameters of 2, obtained from neutron powder data at 2 K, are a = 11.309(2) A, b = 9.869(1) A, c = 18.201(3) A, beta = 127.244(8) degrees , V = 1617.3(5) A3. The pore volume reduces from 33% to 30% by replacing Mn by Co. The material exhibits a diamond framework based on Co-centered CoCo4 tetrahedral nodes, in which all metal ions have octahedral coordination geometry and all HCOO groups link the metal ions in syn-syn/anti modes. It displays thermal stability up to 270 degrees C. The compound easily loses guest molecules without loss of crystallinity, and it partly reabsorbs water from the atmosphere. Significant N2 sorption was observed for the desolvated framework suggesting that the material possesses permanent porosity. The magnetic properties show a tendency to a 3D long-range magnetic ordering, probably antiferromagnetic with a spin canting arrangement below 2 K.  相似文献

Addition of [Mo(V)2O2S2(edt)2]2- (edt =1,2-ethanedithiolate) to acetonitrile and/or methanol solutions of MnII containing bipyridines [4,4'-trimethylenedipyridine (TDP), 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy), 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bpy)] or 15-crown-5 produces three new heterometallic cluster coordination polymers, [Mn2[Mo2O2S2(edt)2]2(TDP)3(CH3OH)2(NCMe)2].3CH3OH.0.25MeCN (1), [Mn(TDP)2(H2O)2]2+[Mn[Mo2O2S2(edt)2)2(TDP)2]]2-.6CH3OH (2), [Mn[Mo2O2S2(edt)2](TDP)2(CH3OH)(H2O)].CH3OH (3), and three new multinuclear clusters, [Mn[Mo2O2S2(edt)2](4,4'-bpy)(CH3OH)4].0.5(4,4'-bpy) (4), [Mn[Mo2O2S2(edt)2](2,2'-bpy)2].2CH3OH (5), and (NEt4)2[Mn(15-crown-5)[Mo2O2S2(edt)2]2] (6). All compounds were characterized by X-ray crystallography. The coordination mode of Mn in these compounds depends on the ligands and the crystallization conditions. Compound 2 readily converts to 1 or 3 depending on the reaction and solvent conditions. Compounds 1 and 2 were analyzed using thermogravimetric analysis combined with mass spectroscopy (TG-MS) in the temperature range 25-500 degrees C. The room-temperature magnetic moments for compounds 1-6 were determined.  相似文献

Two novel complexes, [{Mn(salen)}(2){Mn(salen)(CH(3)OH)}{Cr(CN)(6)}](n)·2nCH(3)CN·nCH(3)OH (1) and [Mn(5-Clsalmen)(CH(3)OH)(H(2)O)](2n)[{Mn(5-Clsalmen)(μ-CN)}Cr(CN)(5)](n)·5.5nH(2)O (2) (salen(2-) = N,N'-ethylene-bis(salicylideneiminato) dianion; 5-Clsalmen(2-) = N,N'-(1-methylethylene)-bis(5-chlorosalicylideneiminato) dianion), were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The structural analyses show that complex 1 consists of one-dimensional (1D) alternating chains formed by the [{Cr(CN)(6)}{Mn(salen)}(4){Mn(salen)(CH(3)OH)}(2)](3+) heptanuclear cations and [Cr(CN)(6)](3-) anions. While in complex 2, the hexacyanochromate(III) anion acts as a bis-monodentate ligand through two trans-cyano groups to bridge two [Mn(5-Clsalmen)](+) cations to form a straight chain. The magnetic analysis indicates that complex 1 shows three-dimensional (3D) antiferromagnetic ordering with the Ne?el temperature of 5.0 K, and it is a metamagnet displaying antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic transition at a critical field of about 2.6 kOe at 2 K. Complex 2 behaves as a molecular magnet with Tc = 3.0 K.  相似文献

The electronic properties of the high spin mononuclear MnII complexes [Mn(tpa)(NCS)2] (1) (tpa=tris-2-picolylamine), [Mn(tBu3-terpy)2](PF6)2 (2) (tBu3-terpy=4,4',4'-tri-tert-butyl-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine) and [Mn(terpy)2](I)2 (3) (terpy=2,2':6',2'-terpyridine) with an N6 coordination sphere have been determined by multifrequency EPR spectroscopy. The X-ray structures of 1.CH3CN and 2.C4H10 O.0.5 C2H5OH.0.5 CH3OH reveal that the MnII ion lies at the center of a distorted octahedron. The D-values of 1-3 all fall in the narrow range of 0.041 to 0.105 cm(-1). The comparison of the results reported here and those found in the literature is consistent with the following observation: the D value is sensitive to the coordination number (6 or 5) of the MnII ion as long as the coordination sphere involves only nitrogen and/or oxygen based ligands. This magneto-structural correlation has been analyzed in this work though DFT model calculations. The zero-field splitting (zfs) parameters of 1-3 have been calculated and are in reasonable agreement with the experimental values. Hypothetical simplified models [Mn(NH3)x(OH2)y]2+ (x+y=5 or 6 and [Mn(NH3)5X]+ (X=OH, Cl)) have been constructed to investigate the origin of the zfs. This investigation reveals i) that D is sensitive to the coordination number (5 or 6) of the MnII ion, ii) for the five coordinate systems the major contribution to D is the spin-orbit coupling part, iii) for the six coordinate systems the major contribution to D is the spin-spin interaction and iv) the deprotonation of a water ligand leads to an increase of D, consistent with the relative ligand fields of OH(-) versus H2O.  相似文献

Five novel two-dimensional frameworks containing formate-bridged metal-centered octahedra are synthesized ionothermally from two ionic liquids previously unused as solvents in hybrid synthesis, 2-hydroxyethylammonium (HEA) formate, and 1-hydroxy-3-proplyammonium (HPA) formate. Templating effects of the cation from each ionic liquid drive the formation of different structures. [NH(3)C(2)H(4)OH](2)[M(CHO(2))(4)] (1: M = Co, 2: M = Ni) exhibit the same stoichiometry and connectivity as their manganese analogue (3: M = Mn), but the manganese form exhibits a different topology from 1 and 2. [NH(3)C(3)H(6)OH][M(CHO(2))(3)(H(2)O)] (4: M = Co, 5: M = Mn) were synthesized using the HPA formate ionic liquid with a metal-formate connectivity related to those of 1-3. Canted antiferromagnetic ordering occurs at low temperatures (1: T(N) = 7.0 K, 2: T(N) = 4.6 K, 3: T(N) = 8.0 K, 4: T(N) = 7.0 K, 5: T(N) = 9.2 K), similar to the magnetic properties previously reported for other metal-formate hybrid materials.  相似文献

Polynuclear manganese(II), cobalt(II)/(III), iron(II)/(III) and nickel(II) complexes of a group of flexible polydentate dihydrazone ligands, based on pyridine-2,6-dipicolinic (A), oxalic (B) and malonic (C) subunits are described. Structural details are reported for the linear dinuclear complexes [Ni2(2poap)2(H2O)2](NO3)4 . 2CH3OH . 2.5H2O (1), [Mn2(pttp)(NO3)2(CH3OH)2(H2O)2](NO3)2 . H2O (2) and [Mn2(mapttp)2(NO3)2(H2O)2](NO3)2 . 10H2O (3), a square tetranuclear complex [Co4(pttp)4]Br6 . 9H2O (4), a tetranuclear tetrahedral complex [Ni4(pttp)6](BF4)6F2 . 14H2O (7), and a mixed spin state tetranuclear Ni(II) complex [(2pyoap)2Ni4(CH3OH)4] . 1.5CH3OH (10), with a diamond-like arrangement of metal ions. The paramagnetic metal centers are well separated in each case, leading to weak antiferromagnetic coupling or non-existent spin exchange.  相似文献

Two hydroxo-bridged complexes, {[Mn(III)(3-CH(3)O)salen](2)[Cr(III)(salen)(OH)(2)]}ClO(4)·6H(2)O (1) and {[Mn(III)(5-CH(3))salen](2)(OH)}ClO(4)·3H(2)O (2) [salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato) dianion], have been synthesized by the hydrolysis of the corresponding Mn(III)(Schiff-Bases) derivatives and [Cr(salen)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl precursors. X-Ray structure characterization reveals the discrete linear arched trinuclear structure of 1 and the 1D chain arrangement of 2. Magnetic experimental data and density functional theory (DFT) calculations both indicate the dominant antiferromagnetic interaction mediated by the hydroxo-bridges in both 1 and 2. Frequency-dependent AC susceptibilities reveal slow relaxation of 1 in low temperature. It is worth noting that the structure and magnetic properties of 1 is comparable to a reported cyano-bridged SMM, K[(5-Brsalen)(2)(H(2)O)(2)Mn(2)Cr(CN)(6)]·2H(2)O.  相似文献

Depending on the synthetic conditions, five heterometallic Mn(III)Fe(II) polynuclear compounds with the same ratio of constituents, 2[Mn(acacen)](+)/[Fe(CN)(5)NO](2-), of different nuclearity and dimensionality (0D, 1D, 2D) were isolated. A [Mn(acacen)MeOH](2)[Fe(CN)(5)NO]·1.5MeOH, 1 complex has been prepared by reaction of Mn(III)/Schiff base (SB) complex, [Mn(acacen)Cl] (H(2)acacen is N,N'-ethylenebis(acetylacetoneimine)) with sodium nitroprusside (NP). Single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that crystallization of 1 from coordinating or non-coordinating solvents results in different coordination polynuclear materials: from C(2)H(5)OH [{Mn(acacen)H(2)O}(2)Fe(CN)(5)NO]·C(2)H(5)OH, 2, a trinuclear complex is formed; from CH(3)CN [{Mn(acacen)H(2)O}(4)Fe(CN)(5)NO][Fe(CN)(5)NO]·4CH(3)CN, an ionic compound with a pentanuclear bimetallic cation is formed 3; from i-C(3)H(7)OH [{Mn(acacen)}(2)(i-PrOH)Fe(CN)(5)NO](n), a coordination chain polymer 4 is formed; from toluene [{Mn(acacen)}(2)Fe(CN)(5)NO](n), a layered network 5 is formed. As the magnetic measurements show, for all compounds the weak interaction between Mn(III)S = 2 spins through the NP bridge is antiferromagnetic and exhibits no significant photoactivity.  相似文献

A new family of hydroxytris(pentafluorophenyl)borate anions [B(C6F5)3OH](-) associated with organic and aprotic cations c+ (imidazolium, pyrrolidinium and phosphonium) has been prepared by a general one-pot synthesis that implies the chloride borate analogues [B(C6F5)3Cl](-)[c]+. The [c]+[B(C6F5)3OH](-) salts have been isolated and fully characterized. The borate anion [B(C6F5)3OH](-) has been shown to protonate the Zr-Me bond in the Cp2ZrMe2 complex forming CH4 and the first published example of anionic [Cp2Zr(Me)OB(C6F5)3](-) species. Standard spectroscopic methods demonstrate the covalent character of the Zr metal center and the anionic character of the boron atom. This protonolysis methodology using [B(C6F5)3OH](-) anion affords a new route for the incorporation of a covalently bonded anionic functionality on organometallic complexes. This provides a new way to immobilize transition metal complexes in ionic liquids.  相似文献

A novel heterogeneous catalyst, [Zn(2.15)Al(0.86)(OH)(6.02)][Mn](0.19)[C(6)H(5)COO](0.48.2H(2)O, where [[Mn]= chiral sulfonato(-)salen-manganese(iii) complex, Na(2)MnC(20)H(22)N(2)S(2)O(12)Cl, intercalated into Zn(II)-Al(III) layered double hydroxide host], has been synthesized and found to be an effective heterogeneous catalyst for the stereoselective epoxidation of R-(+)-limonene using molecular oxygen. The reactivity of several transition metal half sandwich complexes towards an anionic gallium(I) heterocyclic complex, [K(tmeda)][Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}](Ar = C6H3Pri2-2,6), has been investigated. This has led to the anionic half sandwich complexes, [K(tmeda)][(C5H4R)M(CO)n[Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}]](M = V, R = H, n= 3; M = Mn, R = Me, n= 2; M = Co, R = H, n= 1), which crystallographic studies show to form dimers (M = Mn and Co) or a polymer (M = V) through bridging potassium cations. The metal-gallium bond lengths in all complexes are very short which, combined with some spectroscopic evidence, is suggestive of M-Ga pi-bonding. Density functional theory studies of models of all complexes indicate that the level of back-bonding in these complexes is, however, minimal and of a similar order to that seen in analogous complexes incorporating neutral N-heterocyclic carbene ligands. Reactions of the metallocenes, [M(C5H4Me)2](M = V or Cr), with the digallane4, [Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}]2, have afforded the neutral complexes, [M(C5H4Me)2[Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}]], which are thought to be formed via an initial oxidative insertion of the transition metal centre into the Ga-Ga bond of the digallane. X-Ray crystallography shows the complexes to be monomeric. One (M = V) reacts with one equivalent of [K(tmeda)][Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}] to give the crystallographically characterised, anionic bis(gallyl)-complex, [K(tmeda)][V(C5H4Me)2[Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}]2]. For comparison, the reaction of [K(tmeda)][Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}] with [Mn{CH(SiMe3)2}2] was carried out and gave the monomeric, anionic complex, [K(tmeda)][Mn{CH(SiMe3)2}2[Ga{[N(Ar)C(H)]2}]].  相似文献

Treatment of [M(II)(en)(3)][OTs](2) or methanolic ethylenediamine solutions containing transition metal p-toluenesulfonates (M(II) = Mn, Co) with aqueous K(4)M(IV)(CN)(8).2H(2)O or Cs(3)M(V)(CN)(8) (M(IV) = Mo, W; M(V) = Mo) affords crystalline clusters of [M(II)(en)(3)][cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(mu-NC)M(IV)(CN)(7)].2H(2)O (M(IV) = Mo; M(II) = Mn, 1; Ni, 5; M(IV) = W; M(II) = Mn, 2; Ni, 6) and [cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))](2)[(mu-NC)(2)M(IV)(CN)(6)].4H(2)O (M(IV) = Mo; M(II) = Co, 3; Ni, 7; M(IV) = W; M(II) = Co, 4) stoichiometry. Each cluster contains cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(mu-NC)(2+) units that likely result from dissociative loss of en from [M(II)(en)(3)](2+), affording cis-M(II)(en)(2)(OH(2))(2)(2+) intermediates that are trapped by M(IV)(CN)(8)(4-).  相似文献

A novel monomeric tetravalent manganese complex with the cross-bridged cyclam ligand 4,11-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazabicyclo[6.6.2]hexadecane (Me2EBC), [Mn(IV)(Me2EBC)(OH)2](PF6)2, was synthesized by oxidation of Mn(II)(Me2EBC)Cl2 with H2O2 in the presence of NH4PF6)in aqueous solution. The X-ray crystal structure determination of this manganese(IV) compound revealed that it contains two rare terminal hydroxo ligands. EPR studies in dry acetonitrile at 77 K show two broad resonances at g = 1.96 and 3.41, indicating that the manganese(IV) exists as a high-spin d3 species. Resonance Raman (rR) spectra of this manganese(IV) species reveal that the dihydroxy moiety, Mn(IV)(OH)2, is also the dominant species in aqueous solution (pH < 7). pH titration provides two pK(a) values, 6.86(4) and 10.0(1), associated with stepwise removal of the last two oxygen-bound protons from [Mn(IV)(Me2EBC)(OH)2](2+). The cyclic voltammetry of this manganese(IV) complex in dry acetonitrile at 298 K demonstrates two reversible redox processes at +0.756 and -0.696 V (versus SHE) for the Mn4+/Mn3+ and Mn3+/Mn2+ couples, respectively. This manganese(IV) complex is relatively stable in weak acidic aqueous solution but easily degrades in basic solution to manganese(III) derivatives with an 88 +/- 1% yield.  相似文献

The syntheses, structures, and magnetic properties of the complexes [MnIV4MnIII10MnII2O2(OCH3)12(tmp)8(O2CCH3)10].3Et2O (1.3Et2O), [MnIV2MnIII18MnII2O6(OCH3)14(O2CCH3)16(tmp)8(HIm)2].2CH3OH (2.2CH3OH), and [MnIV2MnIII18MnII2O6(OCH3)14(O2CCH3)16(Br-mp)8(HIm)2].2C6H14.5CH3OH (3.2C6H14.5CH3OH) are reported. The unusual wheel-like complexes were prepared by the treatment of [Mn3O(O2CCH3)6(HIm)3](O2CCH3) (HIm = imidazole) with 1,1,1-tris-(hydroxymethyl)propane (H3tmp) (1 and 2) or 2-(bromomethyl)-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol (Br-mpH3) (3) in the presence of sodium methoxide (NaOCH3, 2, and 3) in CH3OH. Complex 1.3Et2O crystallizes in the triclinic space group P, while complexes 2.2CH3OH and 3.2C6H14.5CH3OH crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pbca. Direct current magnetic susceptibility data, collected for 1-3 in the respective 1.8-300 K and 0.1-7 T temperature and magnetic-field ranges, afford spin ground-state values of S = 14 +/- 1 for complex 1 and S = 9 +/- 1 for complexes 2 and 3. Alternating current susceptibility measurements performed on all three complexes in the 1.8-10 K temperature range in a 3.5 G oscillating field at frequencies between 50 and 1000 Hz reveal out-of-phase chi"M signals below approximately 3 K. Single-crystal hysteresis loop and relaxation measurements confirm single-molecule magnetism behavior.  相似文献

The ion-contact complexes [{(eta(5)-Cp)(2)Mn(eta(2):eta(5)-Cp)K}(3)]x0.5 THF (1x0.5 THF) and [{(eta(2)-Cp)(2)(eta(2);eta(5)-MeCp)MnK(thf)}]x2 THF (2x2 THF) and ion-separated complexes [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(3)Mn](2) (3), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(eta(2)-MeCp)(2)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (4x0.5 THF), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-MeCp)(3)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (5x0.5 THF) and [Li([12]crown-4)](5)[(eta-Cp)(3)Mn](5) (6) (Cp=C(5)H(5), CpMe=C(5)H(4)CH(3)), have been prepared and structurally characterised. The effects of varying the Cp and CpMe ligands in complexes 1-5 have been probed by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements and EPR spectroscopic studies.  相似文献

A substituted 2,6-bis(pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine (3-bpp) ligand, H(4) L, created to facilitate intermolecular interactions in the solid, has been used to obtain four novel Fe(II) complexes: [Fe(H(4) L)(2) ](ClO(4) )(2) ?2?CH(3) NO(2) ?2?H(2) O, [Fe(H(4) L)(H(2) LBF(2) )](BF(4) )?5?C(3) H(6) O (H(2) LBF(2) is an in situ modified version of H(4) L), [Fe(H(4) L)(2) ](ClO(4) )(2) ?2?C(3) H(7) OH and [Fe(H(4) L)(2) ](ClO(4) )(2) ?4?C(2) H(5) OH. Changing of spin-inactive components (solvents, anions or distant ligand substituents) causes differences to the coordination geometry of the metal that are key to the magnetic proper- ties. Magnetic measurements show that, contrary to the previously published complex [Fe(H(4) L)(2) ](ClO(4) )(2) ?H(2) O?2?CH(3) COCH(3) , the newly synthesised compounds remain in the high-spin (HS) state at all temperatures (5-300?K). A member of the known family of Fe(II) /3-bpp complexes, [Fe(3-bpp)(2) ](ClO(4) )(2) ?1.75?CH(3) COCH(3) ?1.5?Et(2) O, has also been prepared and characterised structurally. In the bulk, this compound exhibits a gradual and incomplete spin transition near 205?K. The single-crystal structure is consistent with it being HS at 250?K and partially low spin at 90?K. Structural analysis of all these compounds reveals that the exact configuration of intermolecular interactions affects dramatically the local geometry at the metal, which ultimately has a strong influence on the magnetic properties. Along this line, the geometry of Fe(II) in all published 3-bpp compounds of known structure has been examined, both by calculating various distortion indices (Σ, Θ, θ and Φ) and by continuous shape measures (CShMs). The results reveal correlations between some of these parameters and indicate that the distortions from octahedral geometry observed on HS systems are mainly due to strains arising from intermolecular interactions. As previously suggested with other related compounds, we observe here that strongly HS-distorted systems have a larger tendency to remain in that state.  相似文献

The dinuclear mixed-valent complex [(MeC5H4)(dmpe)MnC(2)Mn(dmpe)(C5H4Me)](+)[(eta2-MeC5H4)3Mn](-)[1](+)[2]- (dmpe=1,2-bis(dimethylphosphanyl)ethane) was prepared by the reaction of [Mn(MeC5H4)2] with dmpe and Me(3)SnC[triple chemical bond]CSnMe3. The reactions of [1](+)[2]- with K[PF6] and Na[BPh4] yielded the corresponding anion metathesis products [(MeC5H4)(dmpe)MnC2Mn(dmpe)(C5H4Me)][PF6] ([1][PF6]) and [(MeC5H4)(dmpe)MnC2Mn(dmpe)(C5H4Me)][BPh4] ([1][BPh4]). These mixed-valent species can be reduced to the neutral form by reaction with Na/Hg. The obtained complex [(MeC5H4)(dmpe)MnC2Mn(dmpe)(C5H4Me)] (1) displays a triplet/singlet spin equilibrium in solution and in the solid state, which was additionally studied by DFT calculations. The diamagnetic dicationic species [(MeC5H4)(dmpe)MnC2Mn(dmpe)(C5H4Me)][PF6]2 ([1][PF6]2) was obtained by oxidizing the mixed-valent complex [1][PF6] with one equivalent of [Fe(C5H5)2][PF6]. Both redox processes are fully reversible. The dinuclear compounds were characterized by NMR, IR, UV-visible, and Raman spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Reactions of the rhombic [MnII2 MnIII2 (hmp)6]4+ complex in acetonitrile with simple carboxylate ligands yield (i) three new isolated [Mn4] complexes, namely [Mn4(hmp)6(CH3COO)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2.4H2O (1), [Mn4(hmp)6(CCl3COO)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (2) and [Mn4(hmp)6(C6H5COO)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2.4CH3CN.2H2O (3) in the presence of either bulky carboxylate or of an excess of Mn(II) source; and (ii) two 1D arrangements of [Mn4] complexes connected through double syn-syn carboxylate bridges when using acetate and chloroacetate, namely {[Mn4(hmp)6(CH3COO)2](ClO4)2.H2O}n (4) and {[Mn4(hmp)6(ClCH2COO)2](ClO4)2.2H2O}n (5). The assembly of such building blocks can thus be controlled by an adequate choice of the bridging anion. As expected, the isolated [Mn4] complexes behave as Single-Molecule Magnets as shown by the study of their static and dynamic magnetic properties. Detailed magnetic studies both on polycrystalline samples and single crystals show that the chain compounds are isolated antiferromagnetic chains. The slow relaxation of their staggered magnetization has been studied thanks to finite-size effects induced by the intrinsic defects of the material  相似文献
