Principally Quasi-Baer Skew Power Series Rings

Let α be an endomorphism of R which is not assumed to be surjective and R be α-compatible. It is shown that the skew power series ring R[[x; α]] is right p.q.-Baer if and only if the skew Laurent series ring R[[x, x ^?1; α]] is right p.q.-Baer if and only if R is right p.q.-Baer and every countable subset of right semicentral idempotents has a generalized countable join. Examples to illustrate and delimit the theory are provided.

Principally Quasi-Baer skew Generalized Power Series modules

Let R be a ring and S a strictly totally ordered monoid. Let ω: S → End(R) be a monoid homomorphism. Let M _R be an ω-compatible module and either R satisfies the ascending chain conditions (ACC) on left annihilator ideals or every S-indexed subset of right semicentral idempotents in R has a generalized S-indexed join. We show that M _R is p.q.-Baer if and only if the generalized power series module M[[S]] _{R[[S, ω]]} is p.q.-Baer. As a consequence, we deduce that for an ω-compatible ring R, the skew generalized power series ring R[[S, ω]] is right p.q.-Baer if and only if R is right p.q.-Baer and either R satisfies the ACC on left annihilator ideals or any S-indexed subset of right semicentral idempotents in R has a generalized S-indexed join in R. Examples to illustrate and delimit the theory are provided.     

Armendariz modules over skew PBW extensions

The aim of this article is to develop the theory of skew Armendariz and quasi-Armendariz modules over skew PBW extensions. We generalize the results of several works in the literature concerning these topics for the context of Ore extensions to another non-commutative rings which can not be expressed as iterated Ore extensions. As a consequence of our treatment, we extend and unify different results about the Armendariz, Baer, p.p., and p.q.-Baer properties for Ore extensions and skew PBW extensions.     

Some Characterizations of Left Weakly Regular Ordered Semigroups

In this paper, the notion of left weakly regular ordered semigroups is introduced. Furthermore, left weakly regular ordered semigroups are characterized by the properties of their left ideals, right ideals and （generalized） bi-ideals, and also by the properties of their fuzzy left ideals, fuzzy right ideals and fuzzy （generalized） bi-ideals.     

Polynomial extensions of quasi-Baer rings

Summary For a ring endomorphism &agr; and an &agr;-derivation &dgr;, we introduce &agr;-compatible rings which are a generalization of &agr;-rigid rings, and study on the relationship between the quasi Baerness and p.q.-Baer property of a ring R and those of the polynomial extensions (including formal skew power series, skew Laurent polynomials and skew Laurent series). As a consequence we obtain a generalization of [6], [8] and [16].     

Generalized APP-Rings

We say a ring R is (centrally) generalized left annihilator of principal ideal is pure (APP) if the left annihilator ? _R (Ra) ⁿ is (centrally) right s-unital for every element a ∈ R and some positive integer n. The class of generalized left APP-rings includes generalized left (principally) quasi-Baer rings and left APP-rings (and hence left p.q.-Baer rings, right p.q.-Baer rings, and right PP-rings). The class of centrally generalized left APP-rings is closed under finite direct products, full matrix rings, and Morita invariance. The behavior of the (centrally) generalized left APP condition is investigated with respect to various constructions and extensions, and it is used to generalize many results on generalized PP-rings with IFP and semiprime left APP-rings. Moreover, we extend a theorem of Kist for commutative PP rings to centrally generalized left APP rings for which every prime ideal contains a unique minimal prime ideal without using topological arguments. Furthermore, we give a complete characterization of a considerably large family of centrally generalized left APP rings which have a sheaf representation.     

On Skew Inverse Laurent-Serieswise Armendariz Rings

We study the skew inverse Laurent-serieswise Armendariz (or simply, SIL-Armendariz) condition on R, a generalization of the standard Armendariz condition from polynomials to skew inverse Laurent series. We study relations between the set of annihilators in R and the set of annihilators in R((x ^?1; α)). Among applications, we show that a number of interesting properties of a SIL-Armendariz ring R such as the Baer and the α-quasi Baer property transfer to its skew inverse Laurent series extensions R((x ^?1; α)) and vice versa. For an α-weakly rigid ring R, R((x ^?1; α)) is a left p.q.-Baer ring if and only if R is left p.q.-Baer and every countable subset of S _?(R) has a generalized countable join in R. Various types of examples of SIL-Armendariz rings is provided.     

Automorphism Group of q-Quantum Torus Lie Algebra with q a Root of Unity*

Let α be an automorphism of a ring R. We study the skew Armendariz of Laurent series type rings (α-LA rings), as a generalization of the standard Armendariz condition from polynomials to skew Laurent series. We study on the relationship between the Baerness and p.p. property of a ring R and these of the skew Laurent series ring R[[x, x ^?1; α]], in case R is an α-LA ring. Moreover, we prove that for an α-weakly rigid ring R, R[[x, x ^?1; α]] is a left p.q.-Baer ring if and only if R is left p.q.-Baer and every countable subset of S _?(R) has a generalized countable join in R. Various types of examples of α-LA rings are provided.     

On inverse skew Laurent series extensions of weakly rigid rings

Let R be a ring equipped with an automorphism α and an α-derivation δ. We studied on the relationship between the quasi Baerness and (α, δ)-quasi Baerness of a ring R and these of the inverse skew Laurent series ring R((x^?1; α, δ)), in case R is an (α, δ)-weakly rigid ring. Also we proved that for a semicommutative (α, δ)-weakly rigid ring R, R is Baer if and only if so is R((x^?1; α, δ)). Moreover for an (α, δ)-weakly rigid ring R, it is shown that the inverse skew Laurent series ring R((x^?1; α, δ)) is left p.q.-Baer if and only if R is left p.q.-Baer and every countable subset of left semicentral idempotents of R has a generalized countable join in R.     

Left APP differential polynomial rings

A ring R is called a left APP-ring if for each element a∈R, the left annihilator l_R(Ra) is right s-unital as an ideal of R or equivalently R∕l_R(Ra) is flat as a left R-module. In this paper, we show that for a ring R and derivation δ of R, R is left APP if and only if R is δ-weakly rigid and the differential polynomial ring R[x;δ] is left APP. As a consequence, we see that if R is a left APP-ring, then the n^th Weyl algebra over R is left APP. Also we define δ-left APP (resp. p.q.-Baer) rings and we show that R is left APP (resp. p.q.-Baer) if and only if for each derivation δ of R, R is δ-weakly rigid and δ-left APP (resp. p.q.-Baer). Finally we prove that R[x;δ] is left APP (resp. p.q.-Baer) if and only if R is δ-left APP (resp. p.q.-Baer).     

Regularity for weakly (K1, K2)-quasiregular mappings

In this paper, we first give the definition of weakly (K1, K2)-quasiregular mappings, and then by using the Hodge decomposition and the weakly reverse Holder inequality, we obtain their regularity property: For any ql that satisfies 0 < K1n(n+4)/22n+1 × 100n2[23n/2(25n + 1)](n - q1) < 1, there exists p1 = p1(n, q1, K1, K2) > n, such that any (K1, K2)-quasiregular mapping f ∈W(loc)(1,q1)(Ω,Rn) is in fact in W(loc)(1,p1)(Ω,Rn). That is, f is (K1, K2)-quasiregular in the usual sense.     

On a class of semicommutative modules

Let R be a ring with identity, M a right R-module and S = End _R (M). In this note, we introduce S-semicommutative, S-Baer, S-q.-Baer and S-p.q.-Baer modules. We study the relations between these classes of modules. Also we prove if M is an S-semicommutative module, then M is an S-p.q.-Baer module if and only if M[x] is an S[x]-p.q.-Baer module, M is an S-Baer module if and only if M[x] is an S[x]-Baer module, M is an S-q.-Baer module if and only if M[x] is an S[x]-q.-Baer module.     

Generalized PP and Zip Subrings of Matrix Rings

Let R be an abelian ring. We consider a special subring An, relative to α2,…, αn∈ REnd（R）, of the matrix ring Mn（R） over a ring R. It is shown that the ring An is a generalized right PP-ring （right zip ring） if and only if the ring R is a generalized right PP-ring （right zip ring）. Our results yield more examples of generalized right PP-rings and right ziu rings.     

Principally Quasi-Baer Skew Power Series Modules

A module M _R is called principally quasi-Baer (or simply p.q.-Baer) if the annihilator of every cyclic submodule of M _R is generated by an idempotent, as a right ideal. Let α be an automorphism of R and M _R be an α-compatible module and every countable subset of right semicentral idempotents in R has a generalized countable join or R satisfies the ACC on left annihilator ideals. It is shown that M _R is p.q.-Baer if and only if M[[x]] _{R[[x; α]]} is p.q.-Baer if and only if M[[x, x ^?1]] _{R[[x, x ^?1; α]]} is p.q.-Baer. As a consequence, we unify and extend nontrivially many of the previously known results such as [11 Hashemi , E. ( 2008 ). A note on p.q.-Baer modules . New York J. On Complete Arcs Arising from Plane Curves

We point out an interplay between -Frobenius non-classical plane curves and complete -arcs in . A typical example that shows how this works is the one concerning an Hermitian curve. We present some other examples here which give rise to the existence of new complete -arcs with parameters and being a power of the characteristic. In addition, for q a square, new complete -arcs with either and or and are constructed by using certain reducible plane curves.     

Generalized Kloosterman sum with primes

The work is devoted to generalized Kloosterman sums modulo a prime, i.e., trigonometric sums of the form \(\sum\nolimits_{p \leqslant x} {\exp \left\{ {2\pi i\left( {a\bar p + {F_k}\left( p \right)} \right)/q} \right\}} \) and \(\sum\nolimits_{n \leqslant x} {\mu \left( n \right)\exp \left\{ {2\pi i\left( {a\bar n + {F_k}\left( n \right)} \right)/q} \right\}} \), where q is a prime number, \(\left( {a,q} \right) = 1,m\bar m \equiv 1\left( {\bmod {\kern 1pt} q} \right)\), F _k (u) is a polynomial of degree k ≥ 2 with integer coefficients, and p runs over prime numbers. An upper estimate with a power saving is obtained for the absolute values of such sums for x ≥ q^1/2+ε.     

Fixed Point Theory for 1-Set Weakly Contractive Operators in Banach Spaces

In this work, using an analogue of Sadovskii＇s fixed point result and several important inequalities we investigate and give new existence theorems for the nonlinear operator equation F（x） =μx, （μ≥1） for some weakly sequentially continuous, weakly condensing and weakly 1-set weakly contractive operators with different boundary conditions. Correspondingly, we can obtain some applicable fixed point theorems of Leray-Schauder, Altman and Furi-Pera types in the weak topology setting which generalize and improve the corresponding results of [3,15,16].     

Fixed Point Curve for Weakly Inward Contractions and Approximate Fixed Point Property

In this paper, we discuss the concept of fixed point curve for linear interpolations of weakly inward contractions and establish necessary condition for a nonex- pansive mapping to have approximate fixed point property.     

On the Behaviour of Solutions of a Class of Third Order Difference Equations

In this paper, the structure of the solution space of y n +3 + ry n +2 + qy n +1 + py n =0, n S 0, is studied, keeping oscillatory/nonoscillatory behaviour of solutions of the equation in view, where p , q and r are constants. Some of these results are generalized partially to hold for y n +3 + r n y n +2 + q n y n +1 + p n y n =0, n S 0, where { p n }, { q n } and { r n } are sequences of real numbers.
