Using the twistor correspondence, we give a classification of toric anti-self-dual Einstein metrics: each such metric is essentially determined by an odd holomorphic function. This explains how the Einstein metrics fit into the classification of general toric anti-self-dual metrics given in an earlier paper (Donaldson and Fine in Math Ann 336(2):281–309, 2006). The results complement the work of Calderbank–Pedersen (J Differential Geom 60(3):485–521, 2002), who describe where the Einstein metrics appear amongst the Joyce spaces, leading to a different classification. Taking the twistor transform of our result gives a new proof of their theorem.  相似文献

In this paper we study pointwise projectively related Einstein metrics (having the same geodesics as point sets). We show that pointwise projectively related Einstein metrics satisfy a simple equation along geodesics. In particular, we show that if two pointwise projectively related Einstein metrics are complete with negative Einstein constants, then one is a multiple of another. In this paper, we study conformal transformations in complex Finsler geometry. We first prove that two weakly Kähler Finsler metrics cannot be conformal. Moreover, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a strongly pseudoconvex complex Finsler metric to be locally conformal weakly Kähler Finsler. Finally, we discuss conformal transformations of a strongly pseudoconvex complex Finsler metric, which preserve the geodesics, holomorphic S curvatures and mean Landsberg tensors.

In this paper, we consider the 2-dimensional local Calabi flow on a complete noncompact surface . Then, based on the Harnack-type estimate, we show the long-time existence and asymptotic convergence of a subsequence of solutions of such a flow on with and bounded from above by a negative constant on a ball. For its applications, this will lead to the existence of extremal metrics on a complete noncompact surface of finite topological type. It is well known that pseudo–Riemannian metrics in the projective class of a given torsion free affine connection can be obtained from (and are equivalent to) the solutions of a certain overdetermined projectively invariant differential equation. This equation is a special case of a so-called first Bernstein–Gelfand–Gelfand (BGG) equation. The general theory of such equations singles out a subclass of so-called normal solutions. We prove that non-degenerate normal solutions are equivalent to pseudo–Riemannian Einstein metrics in the projective class and observe that this connects to natural projective extensions of the Einstein condition.  相似文献

The Depth First Search (DFS) algorithm is one of the basic techniques that is used in a very large variety of graph algorithms. Most applications of the DFS involve the construction of a depth-first spanning tree (DFS tree). In this paper, we give a complete characterization of all the graphs in which every spanning tree is a DFS tree. These graphs are called Total-DFS-Graphs. We prove that Total-DFS-Graphs are closed under minors. It follows by the work of Robertson and Seymour on graph minors that there is a finite set of forbidden minors of these graphs and that there is a polynomial algorithm for their recognition. We also provide explicit characterizations of these graphs in terms of forbidden minors and forbidden topological minors. The complete characterization implies explicit linear algorithm for their recognition. In some problems the degree of some vertices in the DFS tree obtained in a certain run are crucial and therefore we also consider the following problem: Let G = (V,E) be a connected undirected graph where |V| = n and let d ? Nn be a degree sequence upper bound vector. Is there any DFS tree T with degree sequence d T that violates d (i.e., d T ≤ d , which means: E j such that d T(j) > d (j))? We show that this problem is NP-complete even for the case where we restrict the degree of only on specific vertex to be less than or equal to k for a fixed k ≥ 2 (i.e., d = (n - 1, ?, n - 1, k, n - 1, ?, n - 1)). 0 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Let N = N(q) be the number of nonzero digits in the binary expansion of the odd integer q. A construction method is presented which produces, among other results, a block circulant complex Hadamard matrix of order 2αq, where α ≥ 2N - 1. This improves a recent result of Craigen regarding the asymptotic existence of Hadamard matrices. We also present a method that gives complex orthogonal designs of order 2α+1q from complex orthogonal designs of order 2α. In this paper we establish an existence and regularity result for solutions to the problem
for boundary data that are constant on each connected component of the boundary of Ω. The Lagrangean L belongs to a class that contains both extended valued Lagrangeans and Lagrangeans with linear growth. In this paper we study the existence of extremal metrics on toric Kähler surfaces. We show that on every toric Kähler surface, there exists a Kähler class in which the surface admits an extremal metric of Calabi. We found a toric Kähler surface of 9 -fixed points which admits an unstable Kähler class and there is no extremal metric of Calabi in it. Moreover, we prove a characterization of the K-stability of toric surfaces by simple piecewise linear functions. As an application, we show that among all toric Kähler surfaces with 5 or 6 -fixed points, is the only one which allows vanishing Futaki invariant and admits extremal metrics of constant scalar curvature.  相似文献
