Stability of the generalized quadratic and quartic type functional equation in non-Archimedean fuzzy normed spaces

In this paper, we prove some stability results concerning the generalized quadratic and quartic type functional equation in the context of non-Archimedean fuzzy normed spaces in the spirit of Hyers-Ulam-Rassias. As applications, we establish some results of approximately generalized quadratic and quartic type mapping in non-Archimedean normed spaces. Also, we show that the assumption of the non-Archimedean absolute value of $2$ is less than $1$ cannot be omitted in our corollaries. The results improve and extend some recent results.

Solution to Kim-Rassias's question on stability of generalized Euler-Lagrange quadratic functional equations in quasi-Banach spaces

By using Aoki-Rolewicz Theorem on p-normalizing a quasi-normed space, we prove stability results for Euler-Lagrange quadratic functional equations in quasi-Banach spaces. These results improve stability results and give the answer to Kim-Rassias's question.     

Asymptotic aspect of the quadratic functional equation in multi-normed spaces

We investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of the quadratic functional equation for mappings from abelian groups into multi-normed spaces. We also study the stability on a restricted domain and present an asymptotic behavior of the quadratic equation in the framework of multi-normed spaces.     

Monotonic positive solution of a nonlinear quadratic functional integral equation

The existence of positive monotonic solutions, in the class of continuous functions, for some nonlinear quadratic integral equation have been studied in [4], [5], [6], [7] and [8]. Here we are concerning with a nonlinear quadratic integral equation of Volterra type and we shall prove the existence of at least one L₁-positive monotonic solution for that equation under Carathèodory condition.     

Equivalent conditions to the nonnegativity of a quadratic functional in discrete optimal control

In this paper we provide a characterization of the nonnegativity of a discrete quadratic functional ? with fixed right endpoint in the optimal control setting. This characterization is closely related to the kernel condition earlier introduced by M. Bohner as a part of a focal points definition for conjoined bases of the associated linear Hamiltonian difference system. When this kernel condition is satisfied only up to a certain critical index m, the traditional conditions, which are the focal points, conjugate intervals, implicit Riccati equation, and partial quadratic functionals, must be replaced by a new condition. This new condition is determined to be the nonnegativity of a block tridiagonal matrix, representing the remainder of ? after the index m, on a suitable subspace. Applications of our result include the discrete Jacobi condition, a unification of the nonnegativity and positivity of ? into one statement, and an improved result for the special case of the discrete calculus of variations.
