Weak electric and magnetic form factors for semileptonic baryon decays are calculated in a relativistic quark model based on the Dirac equation with the independent-quark confining potential of the formV q(r)=1/2(1+γ 0)(a 2 r+V 0). The values obtained for (g 2/g 1) are not very much different from the nonrelativistic results of Donoghue and Holstein. The values of (g 1/f 1) extracted from our model calculations of (f 2/f 1) in the Cabibbo limit compare well with the experimental values. The values of (f 2/f 1) for various semileptonic transitions are also estimated incorporating phenomenologically the effect of nonzerog 2 in the ratio (g 1/f 1). It is found that the SU(3)-symmetry breaking does not generate significant departures in (f 2/f 1) values from the corresponding Cabibbo predictions.  相似文献

Working in the framework of a nonrelativistic quark model we evaluate the spectra and semileptonic decay widths for the ground state of doubly heavy Ξ and Ω baryons. We solve the three-body problem using a variational ansatz made possible by the constraints imposed by heavy-quark spin symmetry. In order to check the dependence of our results on the inter-quark interaction, we have used five different quark-quark potentials which include Coulomb and hyperfine terms coming from one-gluon exchange, plus a confining term. Our results for the spectra are in good agreement with a previous calculation done using a Faddeev approach. For the semileptonic decay our results for the total decay widths are in good agreement with the ones obtained within a relativistic quark model in the quark-diquark approximation.  相似文献

We study the branching ratios of D+→D0e+ν,DS+→D0e+ν,BS0→B+e-ν,DS+→D+e-e+ and BS0→B0e-e+ rare semileptonic decay processes, which are induced by decays of light quarks, the heavy quarks remain unchanged. The branching ratios of these decay processes are estimated in the heavy quark limit and with SU(3) flavor symmetry. We find that the decay rates are very tiny in the framework of the Standard Model. We also estimate the sensitivities of the measurements of these rare decays at the future experiments, such as BES-Ⅲ,super-B and LHC-b.Observations of these decays may shed some light on new physics beyond the standard model.  相似文献

We evaluate static properties and semileptonic decays for the ground state of doubly heavy Ξ, Ξ', Ξ * and Ω, Ω', Ω * baryons. Working in the framework of a nonrelativistic quark model, we solve the three-body problem by means of a variational ansatz made possible by heavy-quark spin symmetry constraints. To check the dependence of our results on the inter-quark interaction we use five different quark-quark potentials that include a confining term plus Coulomb and hyperfine terms coming from one-gluon exchange. Our results for static properties (masses, charge radii and magnetic moments) are, with a few exceptions for the magnetic moments, in good agreement with a previous Faddeev calculation. Our much simpler wave functions are used to evaluate semileptonic decays of doubly heavy Ξ, Ξ'(J = 1/2) and Ω, Ω'(J = 1/2) baryons. Our results for the decay widths are in good agreement with calculations done within a relativistic quark model in the quark-diquark approximation. We calculate semileptonic decays of light and heavy baryons in a relativistically covariant constituent quark model. The model is based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation in instantaneous approximation. It generates satisfactory mass spectra for mesons and baryons up to the highest observable energies. Without introducing additional free parameters we compute on this basis helicity amplitudes of electronic and muonic semileptonic decays of baryons. We thus obtain form factor ratios and decay rates in good agreement with experiment.  相似文献

The parity violating non-leptonic decays of hyperons and of charmed baryons are discussed in the framework of SU (8) symmetry. Several relations in addition to the ones obtained earlier by using SU (4) symmetry and20″-dominance, are obtained. The assumption of20″-dominance at the SU (4) level is no longer required for explaining the non-leptonic decays of 1/2+ baryons.  相似文献

After summarizing the experimental results and present status of the d*(2380) observed at WASA@COSY, two "extreme" models for explaining its structure, a compact hexaquark dominated model and a loose △△'-D12π model, are briefly discussed, especially the former. By comparing their results with the corresponding data, the differences of the two models are addressed. As a remedy for the latter model, a mixing model and its result are also quoted for a comparison. It is shown that the compact hexaquark dominated structure might be more promising. However, the mixing model is also a possible structure, and more accurate Γd*NNπ data are needed for confirmation.  相似文献

An effective potential in a meson-meson system is discussed based on the SU(3) chiral constituent quark model, and the analytic form of the potential is explicitly given. In addition, the effective potential is employed to study the bound state problem of ωφ, which is related to the new resonance of f0(1810) observed in BESⅡ very recently.  相似文献

In light of the developments of the chiral constituent quark model(χ~(CQM)) in studying low energy hadronic matrix elements of the ground-state baryons, we extend this model to investigate their transition properties. The magnetic moments of transitions from the J~P=3/2~+ decuplet to J~P=1/2~+ octet baryons are calculated with explicit valence quark spin, sea quark spin and sea quark orbital angular momentum contributions. Since the experimental data is available for only a few transitions, we compare our results with the results of other available models. The implications of other complicated effects such as chiral symmetry breaking and SU(3) symmetry breaking arising due to confinement of quarks are also discussed.  相似文献

We study the scaling of the 3S1-1S0 meson mass splitting and the pseudoscalar weak-decay constants with the mass of the meson, as seen in the available experimental data. We use an effective light-front QCD-inspired dynamical model regulated at short distances to describe the valence component of the pseudoscalar mesons. The experimentally known values of the mass splitting, decay constants (from global lattice-QCD averages) and the pion charge form factor up to 4 [GeV/c]2 are reasonably described by the model.  相似文献

We investigate the spin structure of the kaon, based on the nonlocal chiral quark model from the instanton vacuum. We first revisit the electromagnetic form factors of the pion and kaon, improving the results for the kaon. We evaluate the generalized tensor form factors of the kaon in order to determine the probability density of transversely polarized quarks inside the kaon. We consider the effects of flavor SU(3) symmetry breaking, so that the probability density of the up and strange quarks are examined in detail. It is found that the strange quark behaves differently inside the kaon in comparison with the up quark.  相似文献

Charge-two SU(3) monopoles with minimal symmetry breaking can be generated via Nahm's equations. This paper investigates the detailed structure of such monopoles, through explicit calculation of the energy density, and the norm and discriminant of the Higgs field. Monopoles may be classified according to the maxima and minima of these quantities.  相似文献

Magnetic moments of octet baryons are parameterized to all orders of the flavor SU(3) breaking with the irreducible tensor technique in order to extract the contribution of each flavor quark to the magnetic moments of the octet baryons. The not-yet measured magnetic moment of ∑0 is predicted to be 0.649μN. Our parameterized forms for the magnetic moments are explicitly flavor-dependent, and hence each flavor component of the magnetic moments can be evaluated directly via the flavor projection operator. It is found that the strange magnetic moment of the nucleon is suppressed due to the small isoscalar anomalous magnetic moment of the nucleon. In particular, the strange magnetic form factor of the nucleon turns out to be positive, GNs(0)=0.428μN, which is consistent with recent data.

The (4, 4*) ⊕ (4*, 4) model of broken chiral SU (4) × SU (4) symmetry has been used to calculate the third-order coupling constants involving charmed and ordinary pseudoscalar mesons. These coupling constants are exploited to derive some interesting new relations among the masses and decay constants of these charmed particles. Using the known masses and decay constants as inputs, we exploit these relations to predict:F D = −1·41F π ,F F = −1·13F π ,F D/FF = 1·25,m(D s) = 1·43 GeV,m(F s) = 1·39 GeV andm(K s) = 1·02 GeV.  相似文献

A simple quark pair creation model is introduced to study exclusive decays of {c_J} into baryon-antibaryon pairs. With this simple model, some exclusive decay processes, for example, {c0} B¯ (B = ,0,-) are investigated and their decay widths are evaluated by inclusion of the properties of outgoing baryons, and the results show that the strengthened decay channels {c_J} ¯(J = 0, 2) are easily understood by considering only the color singlet contribution of P-wave charmonium.  相似文献
