Combining two methods, coating and doping, to modify spinel LiMn2O4, is a novel approach we used to synthesize active material. First we coated the LiMn2O4 particles with the nickel oxide particles by means of homogenous precipitation, and then the nickel oxide-coated LiMn2O4 was calcined at 750 °C to form a LiNixMn2−xO4 shell on the surface of spinel LiMn2O4 particles. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge-discharge test were performed to characterize the spinel LiMn2O4 before and after modification. The experimental results indicated that a spinel LiMn2O4 core is surrounded by a LiNixMn2−xO4 shell. The resulting composite showed excellent electrochemical cycling performance with an average fading rate of 0.014% per cycle. This improved cycle stability is greatly attributed to the suppression of Jahn-Teller distortion on the surface of spinel LiMn2O4 particles during cycling.  相似文献

The mixed spinel-perovskite composites of xMnFe2O4-(1-x)BiFeO3 with x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 were prepared by solid state reaction method. The structure and grain size were examined by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), respectively. The XRD results showed that the composites consisted of spinel MnFe2O4 and perovskite BiFeO3 phases after being calcined at the temperature 950 °C for 2 h. The grain size ranged from 0.8 to 1 μm. Magnetization was found to increase with increasing concentration of ferrite content. The variation of dielectric constant and dielectric loss with frequency showed dispersion in the low frequency range. Magnetocapacitance was also observed in the prepared composites, which may be the sign of magnetoelectric coupling in the synthesized composites at room temperature.  相似文献

Pristine spinel LiMn2O4 and LiAlxMn2−xO4 (x=Al: 0.00-0.40) with sub-micron sized particles have been synthesized using fumaric acid as chelating agent by sol-gel method. The synthesized samples were subjected to thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic cycling studies. The TGA curve of the gel shows several weight-loss regions stepwise amounting to 55% till 800 °C attributed to the decomposition of the precursors. Calcination to higher temperatures (800 °C) yields pure-phase spinel (LiAlxMn2−xO4), as it is evident from the high-intensity XRD reflections matching to the standard pattern. SEM and TEM studies confirm that the synthesized grains are of uniform regular surface morphology. FT-IR studies show stretching and bending vibration bands of Li-O, Li-Al-Mn-O. LiAl0.1Mn1.90O4 spinel was found to deliver discharge capacity of 139 mA h/g during the first cycle with columbic efficiency of 97%. LiAl0.1Mn1.90O4 spinel exhibits the high cathodic peak current indicating better electrochemical performance. Low doping (x=0.1) of Al is found to be beneficial in stabilizing the spinel structure.  相似文献

The xFe2TiO4-(1−x)Fe3O4 pseudo-binary systems (0≤x≤1) of ulvöspinel component were synthesized by solid-state reaction between ulvöspinel Fe2TiO4 precursors and commercial Fe3O4 powders in stochiometric proportions. Crystalline structures were determined by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and it was found that the as-obtained titanomagnetites maintain an inverse spinel structure. The lattice parameter a of synthesized titanomagnetite increases linearly with the increase in the ulvöspinel component. 57Fe room temperature Mössbauer spectra were employed to evaluate the magnetic properties and cation distribution. The hyperfine magnetic field is observed to decrease with increasing Fe2TiO4 component. The fraction of Fe2+ in both tetrahedral and octahedral sites increases with the increase in Ti4+ content, due to the substitution and reduction of Fe3+ by Ti4+ that maintains the charge balance in the spinel structure. For x in the range of 0 ≤x≤0.4, the solid solution is ferrimagnetic at room temperature. However, it shows weak ferrimagnetic and paramagnetic behavior for x in the range of 0.4<x≤0.7. When x>0.70, it only shows paramagnetic behavior, with the appearance of quadrupole doublets in the Mössbauer spectra. Simultaneous differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis (DSC-TGA) studies showed that magnetite is not stable, and thermal decomposition of magnetite occurs with weight losses accompanying with exothermic processes under heat treatment in inert atmosphere.  相似文献

In this paper, we have first demonstrated a facile and green synthetic approach for preparing superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles using α-d-glucose as the reducing agent and gluconic acid (the oxidative product of glucose) as stabilizer and dispersant. The X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS), and selected area electron diffraction (SAED) results showed that the inverse spinel structure pure phase polycrystalline Fe3O4 was obtained. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results exhibited that Fe3O4 nanoparticles were roughly spherical shape and its average size was about 12.5 nm. The high-resolution TEM (HRTEM) result proved that the nanoparticles were structurally uniform with a lattice fringe spacing about 0.25 nm, which corresponded well with the values of 0.253 nm of the (3 1 1) lattice plane of the inverse spinel Fe3O4 obtained from the JCPDS database. The superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) results revealed that the blocking temperature (Tb) was 190 K, and that the magnetic hysteresis loop at 300 K showed a saturation magnetization of 60.5 emu/g, and the absence of coercivity and remanence indicated that the as-synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles had superparamagnetic properties. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) spectrum displayed that the characteristic band of Fe-O at 569 cm−1 was indicative of Fe3O4. This method might provide a new, mild, green, and economical concept for the synthesis of other nanomaterials.  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of the spinel LiMn2O4 obtained by solid state reaction from quasi-amorphous -MnO2 is reported. A well-defined highly pure spinel was characterized from X-ray diffractograms. The average manganese valence of -MnO2 and spinel samples was found to be 3.89±0.01 and 3.59±0.01, respectively. The electrochemical performance of the spinel was evaluated through cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry. The voltammetric profiles obtained at 1 mV/s for the LiMn2O4 electrode in 1 M LiClO4 dissolved in a 2:1 mixture of ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate showed typical peaks for the lithium insertion/extraction reactions. The charge capacity of this electrode was found to be 110 mA h g−1 for the first charge/discharge cycles.  相似文献

A series of samples ZnxFe3−xO4 have been prepared by the chemical coprecipitation technique and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). XRD demonstrates all the samples of ZnxFe3−xO4 have a spinel structure same as Fe3O4. The magnetic hysteresis loops of ZnxFe3−xO4 obtained from VSM indicate that the saturation magnetization has a maximum when x is ∼1/3. The chemical states of Fe atoms and Zn atoms in zinc ferrites have been measured using XPS and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The Fe 2p core-level XPS spectra and Zn L3M45M45 Auger peaks have been analyzed and the results have been discussed in correlation with the samples’ magnetic properties. These results suggest most of Zn atoms occupy the tetrahedral sites and a small amount of them occupy the octahedral sites.  相似文献

Heating the mixture of LiMn2O4 and NiO at 650 °C was employed to enhance the cyclability of spinel LiMn2O4. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy analyses implied that a LiNixMn2−xO4 solid solution was formed on the surface of LiMn2O4 particles. And charge-discharge tests showed that the enhancement of the capacity retention of modified LiMn2O4 is significant, maintained 97.2% of the maximum capacity after 100 cycles at charge and discharge rate of C/2, while the pure one only 75.2%. The modified LiMn2O4 also results in a distinct improvement in rate capability, even at the rate of 12C. The improvement of electrochemical cycling stability is greatly attributed to the suppression of Jahn-Teller distortion at the surface of spinel LiMn2O4 particles.  相似文献

The nanocrystalline Ni0.53Cu0.12Zn0.35Fe1.88O4 and BaTiO3 powders were prepared using Microwave-Hydrothermal (M-H) method at 160 °C/45 min. The as synthesized powders were characterized using the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The size of the powders that were synthesized using M-H system was found to be ∼30 and ∼50 nm for ferrite phase and ferroelectric phases, respectively. The powders were densified using microwave sintering method at 900 °C/30 min. The ferrite and ferroelectric phases were observed from XRD and morphology of the composites was observed with the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).The magnetic hysteresis loops were recorded using the Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM).The frequency dependence of real (μ′) and imaginary (μ″) parts of permeability was measured in the range of 1 MHz-1.8 GHz. The permeability decreases with an increase of BaTiO3 content at 1 MHz. The transition temperature (TC) of ferrite was found to be 245 °C. The TC of composite materials decreases with an increase in BaTiO3 content.  相似文献

The Fe alloy-ferrite composites Fe-Co/Fe3O4 are synthesized by using disproportion of Fe (II) and reduction of Co (II) by Fe0 in a concentrated and boiling KOH solution. The Fe alloy and ferrites are prepared in aqueous solution without any templet and surfactants at low temperature. Their structures and magnetic properties are investigated by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). From the results of XRD, it is shown that the samples have b.c.c and f.c.c structure of Fe, and the spinel structures of the ferrite before calcinations; the samples have b.c.c and spinel structures after calcinations at 300 °C; and the samples have only f.c.c structure and the spinel structures calcined at 500 °C.  相似文献

Multicomponent vanadates Co3+xFe4−xV6O24 have been synthesized using the solid state reaction method from Co3V2O8 and FeVO4.oxides. The electron paramagnetic resonance/ferromagnetic resonance (EPR/FMR) spectra of 20 samples containing solid state phases formed in the FeVO4-Co3V2O8 system have been recorded at room temperature. The howardevansite structure (H-type phase) is produced, which corresponds to the Co2.616Fe4.256V6O24 formula while a homogeneity range of lyonsite (L-type phase) type structure could be described by the Co3+1.5xFe4−xV6O24 formula (0.476<x<1.667). Considering the values of g-factor and linewidth of each registered spectrum the existence of three types of magnetic centers was inferred and correlated with phases detected by XRD method.  相似文献

In this work we report a study of the magnetic behavior of ferrimagnetic oxide CoFe2O4 and ferrimagnetic oxide/ferromagnetic metal CoFe2O4/CoFe2 nanocomposite. The latter compound is a good system to study hard ferrimagnet/soft ferromagnet exchange coupled. Two steps were followed to synthesize the bimagnetic CoFe2O4/CoFe2 nanocomposite: (i) first, preparation of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles using a simple hydrothermal method, and (ii) second, reduction reaction of cobalt ferrite nanoparticles using activated charcoal in inert atmosphere and high temperature. The phase structures, particle sizes, morphology, and magnetic properties of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were investigated by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Mossbauer spectroscopy (MS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) with applied field up to 3.0 kOe at room temperature and 50 K. The mean diameter of CoFe2O4 particles is about 16 nm. Mossbauer spectra revealed two sites for Fe3+. One site is related to Fe in an octahedral coordination and the other one to the Fe3+ in a tetrahedral coordination, as expected for a spinel crystal structure of CoFe2O4. TEM measurements of nanocomposite showed the formation of a thin shell of CoFe2 on the cobalt ferrite and indicate that the nanoparticles increase to about 100 nm. The magnetization of the nanocomposite showed a hysteresis loop that is characteristic of exchange coupled systems. A maximum energy product (BH)max of 1.22 MGOe was achieved at room temperature for CoFe2O4/CoFe2 nanocomposites, which is about 115% higher than the value obtained for CoFe2O4 precursor. The exchange coupling interaction and the enhancement of product (BH)max in nanocomposite CoFe2O4/CoFe2 are discussed.  相似文献

Cobalt-substituted ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized with a narrow size distribution using reverse micelles formed in the system water/AOT/isooctane. Fe:Co ratios of 3:1, 4:1, and 5:1 were used in the synthesis, obtaining cobalt-substituted ferrites (CoxFe3−xO4) and some indication of γ-Fe3O4 when 4:1 and 5:1 Fe:Co ratios were used. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS) verified the presence of cobalt in all samples. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) showed bands at ∼560 and ∼400 cm−1, characteristic of the metal–oxygen bond in ferrites. Transmission electron microscopy showed that the number median diameter of the particles was ∼3 nm with a geometric deviation of ∼0.2. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed the inverse spinel structure typical of ferrites with a lattice parameter of a=8.388 Å for Co0.61Fe0.39O4, which is near that of CoFe2O4 (a=8.394 Å). Magnetic properties were determined using a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). Coercivities higher than 8 kOe were observed at 5 K, whereas at 300 K the particles showed superparamagnetic behavior. The anisotropy constant was determined based on the Debye model for a magnetic dipole in an oscillating field and an expression relating χ′ and the temperature of the in-phase susceptibility peak. Anisotropy constant values in the order of ∼106 erg/cm3 were determined using the Debye model, whereas anisotropy constants in the order of ∼107 erg/cm3 were calculated assuming Ωτ=1 at the temperature peak of the in-phase component of the susceptibility curve as commonly done in the literature. Our analysis demonstrates that the assumption Ωτ=1 at the temperature peak of χ′ is rigorously incorrect.  相似文献

BiFeO3-CoFe2O4 epitaxial nanocomposites have been deposited on SrTiO3 (0 0 1) substrates by pulsed laser deposition. We present here a study of the influence of the deposition temperature (TS), in the 550-800 °C range, on the film composition, morphology and microstructure. Electron-probe microanalysis shows strong reduction of the Bi content in the films when increasing TS. Films prepared at TS=750 °C and above are virtually Bi-free. X-ray diffraction (XRD) data show that, due to the volatility of Bi, there is a progressive reduction in the amount of BiFeO3. The deposition temperature and the concomitant presence of FexOy spurious phases in the nanocomposites grown at high temperature promote radical changes in film morphology and magnetization. It thus follows that a temperature range suitable for controlled modification of nanocomposites morphology would be extremely narrow.  相似文献

Chemical preparation and crystal structure are given for a new cyclotetraphosphate: [3,5-(CH3)2C6H3NH3]4P4O12·3H2O. This compound is triclinic P with the following unit-cell parameters: a=8.298(3), b=8.299(3), c=17.242(7)Å, α=97.13(3), β=102.72(3), γ=64.55(3)°, Z=1 and V=1045.2(8)Å3. The crystal structure has been solved and refined to R=0.040 using 6086 independent reflections. The atomic arrangement can be described as layers organization. Layers built by P4O12 ring anions, ammonium groups and water molecules parallel to the plan (001), between which the organic groups are located. Characterization by X-ray diffraction, IR absorption, and thermal analysis are described.  相似文献

Spinel compounds Li4Ti5−xAlxO12/C (x=0, 0.05) were synthesized via solid state reaction in an Ar atmosphere, and the electrochemical properties were investigated by means of electronic conductivity, cyclic voltammetry, and charge-discharge tests at different discharge voltage ranges (0-2.5 V and 1-2.5 V). The results indicated that Al3+ doping of the compound did not affect the spinel structure but considerably improved the initial capacity and cycling performance, implying the spinel structure of Li4Ti5O12 was more stable when Ti4+ was substituted by Al3+, and Al3+ doping was beneficial to the reversible intercalation and deintercalation of Li+. Al3+ doping improved the reversible capacity and cycling performance effectively especially when it was discharged to 0 V.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Co3O4 powders were synthesized by aerosol flame synthesis (AFS) method for the anode of lithium ion batteries and the basic electrochemical properties were investigated. The effects of synthesis conditions and heat-treatment temperature on the morphology, crystallite size and electrochemical properties were investigated. As-prepared soot contained Co3O4, CoO and Co(OH)2, which were eventually converted into cubic spinel Co3O4 by post heat treatment. The as-prepared particle size was in the range of 10-30 nm and grew to 50-85 nm by the heat treatment. With growing particle size and improved crystallinity, charge-discharge capacity and cycle performance were improved and the discharge capacity of the powder heat-treated at 700 °C was 571 mAh/g after 30 cycles, which was better than Co3O4 powder reported in the previous literature.  相似文献

Magnetoelectric (ME) nanocomposites containing Ni0.75Co0.25Fe2O4-BiFeO3 phases were prepared by citrate sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed phase formation of xNi0.75Co0.25Fe2O4-(1−x)BiFeO3 (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4) composites on heating at 700 °C. Transmission electron microscopy revealed the formation of powders of nano order size and the crystal size was found to vary from 30 to 85 nm. Dispersion in dielectric constant (ε) and dielectric loss (tan δ) in the low-frequency range have been observed. It is seen that nanocomposites exhibit strong magnetic properties and a large ME effect. On increasing Ni0.75Co0.25Fe2O4 contents in the nanocomposites, the saturation magnetization (MS) and coercivity (HC) increased after annealing at 700 °C. The large ME output in the nanocomposites exhibits strong dependence on magnetic bias and magnetic field frequency. The large value of ME output can be attributed to small grain size of ferrite phase of nanocomposite being prepared by citrate precursor process.  相似文献

Gd3+-substituted micro-octahedron composites (FexCo1−x/CoyGdzFe3−yzO4) in which the Fe-Co alloy has either a bcc or fcc structure and the oxide is a spinel phase were fabricated by the hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicate that the as-synthesized Gd3+-substituted micro-octahedron composites are well crystallized. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images show that the final product consists of larger numbers of micro-octahedrons with the size ranging from 1.3 to 5 μm, and the size of products are increased with increasing the concentration of KOH. The effect of the Co2+/Fe2+ ratio (0?Co2+/Fe2+?1) and substitution Fe3+ ions by Gd3+ ions on structure, magnetic properties of the micro-octahedrons composites were investigated, and a possible growth mechanism is suggested to explain the formation of micro-octahedrons composites. The magnetic properties of the structure show the maximal saturation magnetization (107 emu/g) and the maximal coercivity (1192 Oe) detected by a vibrating sample magnetometer.  相似文献

Magnesium aluminum spinel (MgAl2O4) is a major constituent of the shallow upper mantle. It is of great geophysical importance to explore its physical properties under high pressure and temperature. The first-principle density functional theory (DFT) with the plane wave along with pseudopotential was employed to obtain the total energy for both Fd3m-MgAl2O4 and F4-3m-MgAl2O4, which was used to generate the Gibbs free energy as a function of temperature and pressure with the quasi-harmonic Debye model. It is found that the phase transition temperature from Fd3m-MgAl2O4 to F4-3m-MgAl2O4 is beyond 452.6 K in the pressure regime studied, which is consistent with the experiment. The phase transition temperature is related to pressure by a linear function, i.e. T=8.05P+452.6, which is the first equation of this kind to describe the phase transition Fd3m→F4-3m. The elastic constants, equation of states and thermodynamic properties of Fd3m-MgAl2O4 are also reported in this paper to make a complete study.  相似文献
