A computationally efficient method based on a sensitivity approach is developed to obtain suboptimal control for nonstationary linear systems with multiple state and control delays and with quadratic cost. The proposed suboptimal control includes some truncated series whose terms are calculated in a recursive manner from nondelay system optimization.  相似文献

An interative method for the suboptimal control of nonlinear time-delay systems is presented. Polynomial forms are assumed for the state in cases with delay in the state only and for the control in other cases. The coefficients in the approximating polynomial are chosen by a direct search method.Many discussions with Dr. S. An optimal control problem with a prescribed performance index for parabolic systems with time delays is investigated. A necessary condition for optimality is formulated and proved in the form of a maximum principle. Under additional conditions, the maximum principle gives sufficient conditions for optimality. It is also shown that the optimal control is unique. As an illustration of the theoretical consideration, an analytic solution is obtained for a time-delayed diffusion system.The author wishes to express his deep gratitude to Professors J. M. This paper addresses the optimal tracking control for switched linear systems with unknown dynamics. We convert the problem into an optimal control problem of the augmented switched systems. In view of the augmented systems, we propose a data-driven switched linear quadratic regular algorithm for obtaining the optimal switching signal under unknown system dynamics. It is proved that the optimal switching signal will not cause Zeno behavior and can make the system stable. Besides, with the proposed algorithm, we just need to identify an autonomous system instead of the original systems, which has fewer parameters to be determined. A numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the main results.  相似文献

We propose an on-line control approach which will adjust the steady-state shape of a large antenna arbitrarily close to any achievable desired profile. The method makes use of distributed-parameter system theory and allows refocusing using a limited number of control actuators and sensors.The controller gains are calculated by approximating the solution to an infinite-dimensional optimal quasi-static control problem. The controller gain calculation is computationally simpler than that proposed in a companion paper. The Galerkin (finite element) approximation method is used for model reduction. A method is developed for the approximate design of an optimal state regulator for a linear periodically varying system with quadratic performance index. The periodic term is taken to be a perturbation to the system. By making use of a power-series expansion in a small parameter, associated with periodic terms, a set of matrix equations is derived for determining successively a feedback gain. Given periodic terms of a Fourier-series form, explicit solutions are obtained for those matrix equations. A sufficient condition for existence and periodicity of the solution is also shown. Further, the performance degradation resulting from a truncation of the power-series solution is investigated. The method may effectively be used in a computer-programmed computation.  相似文献

In a recent, related, paper, necessary conditions in the form of a Maximum Principle were derived for optimal control problems with time delays in both state and control variables. Different versions of the necessary conditions covered fixed end-time problems and, under additional hypotheses, free end-time problems. These conditions improved on previous conditions in the following respects. They provided the first fully non-smooth Pontryagin Maximum Principle for problems involving delays in both state and control variables, only special cases of which were previously available. They provide a strong version of the Weierstrass condition for general problems with possibly non-commensurate control delays, whereas the earlier literature does so only under structural assumptions about the dynamic constraint. They also provided a new ‘two-sided’ generalized transversality condition, associated with the optimal end-time. This paper provides an extension of the Pontryagin Maximum Principle of the earlier paper for time delay systems, to allow for the presence of a unilateral state constraint. The new results fully recover the necessary conditions of the earlier paper when the state constraint is absent, and therefore retain all their advantages but in a setting of greater generality.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a nonlinear dynamic system with uncertain parameters. Our goal is to choose a control function for this system that balances two competing objectives: (i) the system should operate efficiently; and (ii) the system’s performance should be robust with respect to changes in the uncertain parameters. With this in mind, we introduce an optimal control problem with a cost function penalizing both the system cost (a function of the final state reached by the system) and the system sensitivity (the derivative of the system cost with respect to the uncertain parameters). We then show that the system sensitivity can be computed by solving an auxiliary initial value problem. This result allows one to convert the optimal control problem into a standard Mayer problem, which can be solved directly using conventional techniques. We illustrate this approach by solving two example problems using the software MISER3.  相似文献

This paper considers an approach to modelling distributed time-delay systems using discrete convolution. The basis for convolution algebra is briefly outlined and the new concepts of characteristic pattern and vector delays are introduced. In this paper, the stability problem is investigated for networked control systems. Input delays and multiple communication imperfections containing time-varying transmission intervals and transmission protocols are considered. A unified framework based on the hybrid systems with memory is proposed to model the whole networked control system. Hybrid systems with memory are used to model hybrid systems affected by delays and permit multiple jumps at a jumping instant. The stability analysis depends on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approaches for hybrid systems with memory and the proposed stability theorem does not need strict decrease of the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional during jumps. Based on the developed stability theorems, stability conditions for networked control systems are established. An explicit formula is given to compute the maximal allowable transmission interval. In the special case that the networked control system contains linear dynamics, an explicit Lyapunov functional is constructed and stability conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) are proposed. Finally, an example of a chemical batch reactor is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the approximation of classical solution, we introduce the definition of solution and prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the first-order linear dynamic systems on time scales. Existence of Lagrange optimal control problem governed by the first-order linear dynamic systems on time scales is also presented. Some asymptotic stability criteria are derived for systems of nonlinear functional differential equations with unbounded delays. The criteria are described as matrix equations or matrix inequalities, which are computationally flexible and efficient. The theories are then applied to the stabilization of time-delay systems via standard feedback control (SFC) or time-delayed feedback control (DFC).
