Results of the first elastic K S o regeneration experiment on carbon, using magnetic spark chamber spectrometer, are presented in the beam momentum interval 10p50 GeV/c. The d ifferentia cross section d/dt is reconstructed in the range 0·0025–t0·02 (GeV/c)2 and its slopeB is found to be momentum independent with an average valueB=(65±11) (GeV/c)–2. The results are in agreement with the calculations using the coherent production model.  相似文献

We calculate theK S Emphasis>0 →γγ decay within the approach of non-linear realization of chiralS U(3)×S U(3). The branching ratio with respect to theπ + π - channel turns out to be 3.5×10?6 and therefore similar to the result gotten previously by dispersion relation techniques in a non-chiral model. We also discuss theK L 0 →γγ decay by taking into account new results onη 1-η 8 mixing from recent measurements of the η→γγ decay.  相似文献

Conclusion The joint efforts of the laboratories with intermediate energies accelerators at ANL, KEK, LANL, LNPI, Saclay, SIN and TRIUMF produced a rather definite picture of the +pp reaction in the isobar region. However the problem of anomalies for the square-root branch point due to the production of isobar in the intermediate state have not been resolved so far. The poles obtained in different phenomenological analyses could be just the effective parametrization of these cuts (see e.g. [13]). Anyway, some singularities are definitely necessary to describe the data.The experimental data in regions s < 2·05 GeV and s < 2·25 GeV are clearly insufficient. Further accumulation of the data in these regions is necessary. Polarized deuteron data are badly needed in the whole kinematical range [13]. Besides as it was mentioned before it is necessary to measure accurately cross sections of other inelastic reactions which are important for the investigation (observation?) of dibaryonsNN N, NN andd N, NN [21]. It would be of interest also to measure cross sections of non quasi two-particle channels likeNN N, 2N andd N, 2N [22]. The reactions pK + and pK + 0 have been measured with the multiparticle detector system SAPHIR at ELSA in Bonn. Besides the differential cross sections the polarization and, for the first time, the 0 polarization have been determined in a photon induced reaction. All data are presented as functions of the photon energy (from threshold up to 1.47 GeV) and of the kaon production angle (0°–180°). The work presents the model of γγ point-like interactions via the two gluon exchange. The model is developed using the Sudakov techniques for the high energy limit. Its predictions for the experimentally measured quantities of σ inclusive tot and the structure functionF 2(x, Q 2) are found in a good agreement with the predictions of GVDM model. Used together with the QPM it can explain the experimental data for the whole kinematical region available in the recent experiments.  相似文献

The reaction p K0+ was measured in the photon energy range from threshold up to 2.6 GeV with the SAPHIR detector at the electron stretcher facility, ELSA, in Bonn. Results are presented on the reaction cross-section and the polarization of the + as a function of the kaon production angle in the centre-of-mass system, cosc.m.K, and the photon energy. The cross-section is lower and varies less with photon energy and kaon production angle than that of p K+0. The + is polarized predominantly at cosc.m.K 0. The data presented here are more precise than previous ones obtained with SAPHIR and extend the photon energy range to higher values. They are compared to isobar model calculations.  相似文献

The rare decay K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ branching ratio measurement is one of the clearest Standard Model test. Calculations based on the SM predict Br(K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ ) ≈ 2.8 × 10?11, but the most accurate experimental value Br(K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ ) < 6.7 × 10?8 (90% C.L.). We present design of a new experimental setup KLOD (U-70 accelerator, IHEP, Protvino) for K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ branching ratio measurement. Sensitivity of the KLOD experiment will be enough for registration of 2.4 events K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ for every 10 days of the data taking (according to SM predictions).  相似文献

On the basis of experimental data from the 6-m spectrometer of the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP, Moscow), an amplitude analysis of 40 553 events of the reaction π ? pK S K S n induced by a negatively charged pion of energy 40 GeV is performed over a broad momentumtransfer range by using a new procedure. The results for |t| > 0.1 GeV2 are obtained for the first time. In particular, resonances of mass 1700 and 1900 MeV and width 120 MeV are discovered in the D + wave (there were no such resonances for |t| < 0.1 GeV2). In the region of low momentum transfers, the S wave exhibits a structure that lies in the mass region around 1370 MeV and which requires three resonances for its explanation. Two of these (that of mass 1234 ± 6 MeV and width 47 ± 33 MeV and that of mass 1478 ± 6 MeV and width 119 ± 10 MeV) were found in the studies of A. Etkin et al. [Phys. Rev. D 25, 2446 (1982)] and O.N. Baloshin et al. {Yad. Fiz. 43, 1487 (1986) [Phys. At. Nucl. 43, 959 (1986)]}. The third has a mass of 1389 ± 9 MeV and a width of 30 ± 24 MeV. At high momentum transfers, the S wave is found to feature resonances that have the following parameters: M = 1328 ± 8 MeV and Γ = 237 ± 20 MeV, M = 1440 ± 6 MeV and Γ = 121 ± 15 MeV, and M = 1776 ± 15 MeV and Γ = 250 ± 30 MeV. For the D 0 wave, it is found that, in addition to the well-known resonances f 2, a 2, and f′ 2, there appear the following resonances in this wave: a resonance of mass 2005 ± 12 MeV and width 209 ± 32 MeV and a resonance of mass 2270 ± 12 MeV and width 90 ± 29 MeV at low |t| and a resonance of mass 1659 ± 6 and width 152 ± 18 and a resonance of mass 2200 ± 13 MeV and width 91 ± 62 MeV at high |t|.  相似文献

According to lowest order perturbation theory more than one hundred gluons and quarks with pT > p0 ≈2 GeV are produced per unit rapidity within a time of 0.1 fm in an average collision of two large nuclei at a CMS energy/particle in the few 100 GeV range. We show, including longitudinal expansion and QCD branching, that before a time of about 0.4 fm each of these will experience more than one collision with one of the other gluons and quarks. Without any assumptions concerning soft QCD one thus concludes that the quark-gluon subsystem is driven towards thermalisation.  相似文献

Experimental results for the radiative energy loss of 149, 207, and 287 GeV electrons in a thin Ir target are presented. From the data we conclude that at high energies the radiation length increases in accordance with the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal (LPM) theory and thus electrons become more penetrating the higher the energy. The increase of the radiation length as a result of the LPM effect has a significant impact on the behavior of high-energy electromagnetic showers.  相似文献

We report on a search for CP violation in τ(±)→K(S)(0)π(±)ν(τ) decays using a data sample of 699 fb(-1) collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB electron-positron asymmetric-energy collider. The CP asymmetry is measured in four bins of the invariant mass of the K(S)(0)π(±) system and found to be compatible with zero with a precision of O(10(-3)) in each mass bin. Limits for the CP violation parameter Im(η(S)) are given at the 90% confidence level. These limits are |Im(η(S))| < 0.026 or better, depending on the parametrization used to describe the hadronic form factors, and improve upon previous limits by 1 order of magnitude.  相似文献

K ±e ± νπ 0 decays have been studied using the KMN setup at the Institute for High Energy Physics (Protvino). The experiment has been performed in the 36-GeV/c hadron beams of the IHEP accelerator. The accumulated data allow us to select ~1.08M candidates for K e3 decays. Analyzing the Dalitz plot of these events, we estimate the linear slope of the charge form factor to be λ + = [30.44 ± 0.83(stat.) ± 0.74(syst.)] × 10?3.  相似文献

In an experiment with the Spherical Neutral Detector at VEPP-2M collider the cross section of the process e+e-→π+π-π0π0 was measured. At energies √s < 920 MeV this cross section was measured for the first time. The energy dependence of the cross section is well discribed by the vector dominance model with contributions from ρ, ρ' ρ", mesons. The decay probability ρ→π+π-π0π0was found to be Bρ = (1.60±0.74±0.18)×10-5. The upper limit for the decay ω→π+π-π0π0 was improved by two orders of magnitude compared to the previous measurements and is Bω < 2 × 10-4 at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

The cross section for with arbitrary electron polarizations is calculated within the Electroweak Standard Model for energies large compared to the electron mass, including the complete virtual and soft-photonic radiative corrections. The relevant analytical results are listed, and a numerical evaluation is presented for the unpolarized and polarized cross sections as well as for polarization asymmetries. The relative weak corrections are typically of the order of 10%. At low energies, the bulk of the corrections is due to the running of the electromagnetic coupling constant. For left-handed electrons, at high energies the vertex and box corrections involving virtual W bosons become very important.
