利用啁啾相移光纤光栅狭缝的中心波长对应变点和应变量的波长敏感性,实现应变与应变点精确定位的传感.当啁啾光纤光栅上的某一位置产生微应变时,该应变点会产生相移,其频谱则会出现一个与之对应的狭缝,且狭缝的深度和中心波长与应变的大小和位置相关.当串接不同中心波长的啁啾光纤光栅后,即可实现一定范围内的分布式应变与应变点精确定位检测.本文通过V-I传输矩阵法建立了狭缝深度和中心波长关于应变量和应变位置的理论模型,分析结果表明理论上可以实现微米量级的精确定位.搭建了级联啁啾相移光纤光栅的分布式应变传感装置,实验获得的最大应变灵敏度为0.19 pm/με.该精确定位传感装置在先进制造、精密加工、航空航天、铁路系统等高新技术领域具有重要的应用前景. 相似文献

We demonstrated a fiber sensing system using the method of wavelength locking of two identical fibers Bragg gratings (FBG) to interrogate the wavelength shift by directly measuring the intensity of the reflection from the sensing Bragg grating. The light source of the fiber sensing system is an EDFA fiber ring laser pumped by a 980 nm laser diode and a narrow bandwidth fiber Bragg grating for the filter of the ring laser resonator. The wavelength shift is converted to the intensity deviation of the reflection from the sensing FBG under strain variation, and is able to achieve real-time sensing of the dynamic strain sensing in civil engineering. The characteristics and key factors to maintain stability of the dynamic strain sensing system are discussed. 相似文献

A novel approach based on multiple fiber Bragg gratings for measuring the distributed strain, which is temperature compensated, is demonstrated. A novel differential double Bragg grating sensor for temperature-insensitive strain measurement is presented. The sensor consists of two identical weak measuring and reference gratings separated by some distance. The reference grating is placed inside the silica capillary that made it almost strain insensitive. The basic idea in differential double Bragg grating sensor is to measure the energy of the oscillating term in the reflection spectrum of double Bragg grating structure. The normalized energy of the interference term depends on the pitch difference of the two gratings and does not change when pitch variations of both gratings are equal with temperature variation. Therefore, the normalized energy of the interference term can be used for the temperature-insensitive strain measurement. 相似文献

A study on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) strain sensor, based on erbium-doped fiber (EDF) laser, is presented. A strain-sensing element, FBG, also acts as the lasing wavelength selecting component. When strain is applied on the FBG, the laser cavity loss changes, leading to a modification of the laser transient. Strain measurements are obtained in the time domain by simply measuring the EDF laser build-up time. Relative variation in the build-up time of up to 190%, for a strain range from 0 με to 2350 με, is achieved with a resolution corresponding to a strain of better than 2.35 με. This study demonstrates a novel fiber sensor concept and the technical feasibility to develop fiber strain measurement. 相似文献

A novel type of fiber optic Bragg grating sensor for petroleum hydrocarbon leak detection is presented. The sensor structure includes attached to the fiber a polymer member, which reversibly expands in hydrocarbon presence and strains the fiber section with the Bragg grating inside. A shift of the grating Bragg wavelength due to fiber strain is more than 2 nm for 20-min gasoline influence, which significantly exceeds a shift due to possible environmental temperature variation. 相似文献

The FBG-ECL fabricated using the interactions of laser diodes with fiber Bragg gratings has important role in optical communications. A new high-birefringence (Hi-Bi) fiber torsion sensor demodulated by a Hi-Bi fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is proposed in this study. The twisted Hi-Bi fiber sensor characteristics are analyzed using the Jones matrix. The intensity ratio from two reflected Bragg wavelengths is associated with the twist angle of the measured Hi-Bi fiber. It is found that the twist angle resolution is estimated at around 0.3° under ±0.1 dB readout from an optical spectrum analyzer if the polarization state of the light source is stable. The advantages of this new torsion sensor are: (1) insensitivity to intensity variations from the light source, (2) insensitivity to the torsion gauge length, and (3) absolute measurement in the twist angle. However, the polarization state of light in the proposed method needs to be controlled, and any birefringence change in the twisted Hi-Bi fiber needs to be prevented. 相似文献

针对光纤Bragg光栅应力传感中温度交叉敏感的问题,设计了一种有效的无源温度补偿方法和补偿结构。通过理论模拟,分析了M值不同时补偿效果曲线的变化,从中得到了补偿效果最好时的M值;得出了不同预应变情况下的温度特性曲线,从中找出了温度特性被完全补偿时的预应变的值;分析了温度补偿中出现过补偿和欠补偿现象的原因。通过该方法,有效地解决了光纤Bragg光栅传感中的温度交叉敏感问题。温度补偿后可以满足对光纤光栅温度稳定性要求较高的光纤传感、通信等领域的需要。 相似文献

用材料力学理论分析了D形光纤Bragg光栅(D-shaped fiber Bragg grating,D-FBG)以及常规光纤Bragg光栅由弯曲引起的轴向应变,得到了光栅Bragg波长漂移的弯曲敏感特性.实验结果和理论计算结果基本相符.与常规FBG相比,该D-FBG的弯曲灵敏度要高近80倍.因此D-FBG可以直接应用于弯曲形变的测量,以及间接应用于压力、加速度等物理量的测量.理论分析和实验结果对采用该类型光纤光栅的器件和传感系统的设计具有参考意义. 相似文献

An exact linearity interrogation technique with enlarged dynamic range for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor has been analyzed theoretically and demonstrated experimentally. The technique bases on two matched FBGs for receiving the reflected signal from the sensor FBG and two photodiodes (PDs) for collecting the reflected signal from the two receiver FBGs. The linear expression between the nature logarithm of the output ratio of the two PDs and Bragg wavelength of the sensor FBG is obtained on the condition that the bandwidths of the two receiver FBGs being equal to each other. The wavelength of the sensor FBG can be interrogated simply and accurately by the linearity technique according to the expression. In addition, a new tunable paralleled matched gratings interrogation scheme is proposed. The interrogation range can be enlarged and multiple FBG sensors can be interrogated simultaneously with the tunable interrogation scheme. 相似文献

提出一种基于铝片的测量温度和流速的光纤布喇格光栅(FBG)传感器。采用一种耐高温胶将光纤布喇格光栅封装在一小铝片上,经过高温固化处理,可保持光纤光栅传感器的稳定性。通过-20℃~100℃温度实验,得到该传感器的温度灵敏度系数为0.0392nm/℃,是封装前的3.5倍,且传感器温度响应保持了很好的线性和重复性。从水温14.5℃时的流速实验中得到水流速在0~20m/s范围变化时,FBG峰值波长漂移了0.13nm,验证了此光纤光栅传感器测量流速的可行性。试验结果表明,该传感器既可以作为温度传感器,又可以作为流量传感器,并且制作简单,成本较低。 相似文献

An optimized strain demodulation method based on dynamic double matched fiber Bragg grating (FBG) filtering driven by a piezoelectric transducer (PZT) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Using an optimized triangular waveform to drive PZT, the nonlinear effect is eliminated, and extraction and processing of the peak signals are more convenient. Furthermore, taking advantage of double matched-FBGs and strain amplification structure to demodulate the Bragg wavelength, the wavelength scanning range can be extended to 6.3 nm, so that a large-scale and high-precision strain measurement can be achieved. The experimental results show that in the strain range of 0-3800με, the linearity of the relationship between strain and scanning time-difference is greater than 99.8%, and the stability of repeated measurements is up to 99.5%. This demodulation method can be widely applied in the FBG measurement system. 相似文献

The study on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) displacement sensor based on monitoring the back-reflected power from an array of novelly embedded FBG sensors is presented. The sensor is a uniform FBG with three sections that are embedded in different layer in a composite lamina. Its bandwidth is displacement dependent and hence its reflected power varies almost linearly with displacement and it is insensitive to temperature variation. Thus, only low-cost photodetector (PD) is required to monitor displacement. Many theoretical and experimental studies have been developed to characterize the spectral response of an optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in axial strain fields in recent years. However, comparatively few works were devoted to the evolution of the spectrum when a FBG is subjected to non-uniform transverse load. In this paper, the effects of distributed birefringence on FBG under non-uniform transverse load are analyzed and a numerical simulation based on the piecewise-uniform approach is also discussed to simulate the responses of FBG under some typical non-uniform transverse strain fields. Experiment was carried out using different loads applied at different locations of the FBG. Good agreements between experimental results and numerical simulations have been obtained. 相似文献
