Well-crystallized barium metaniobate (BaNb2O6) thin films were fabricated on fused quartz substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The influence of substrate temperature and oxygen pressure on the crystal structure and preferred orientation were studied to understand the growth mechanism of BaNb2O6 thin films. The films formed at 600 °C at an oxygen pressure of 100 mTorr exhibited predominantly the orthorhombic (040) orientation, and turned to the orthorhombic (230) orientation at 800 °C. It was found that (220)-oriented hexagonal thin films were formed at 600 °C at an oxygen pressure less than 50 mTorr. The dielectric constant of the BaNb2O6 thin films was measured by scanning microwave microscopy (SMM). Preferentially (230)-oriented orthorhombic and (220)-oriented hexagonal BaNb2O6 thin films were shown to have significantly enhanced dielectric constants of 47.8 and 56.7, respectively. This could be attributed to the dependence of the dielectric constant on crystallographic orientation. PACS 77.55.+f; 77.84.Dy  相似文献

Based on the dielectric continuum phonon model, uniaxialmodel and force balance equation the mobility of two dimensional electrongas in wurtzite AlxGa1-xN/GaN/AlxGa1-xN quantum wells isdiscussed theoretically within the temperature range dominated by opticalphonons. The dependences of the electron mobility on temperature, Al molarfraction and electron sheet density are presented including hydrostaticpressure effect. The built-in electric field is also taken into account. Itis found that under normal pressure the main contribution to the mobility isfrom the scattering of interface optical phonons in narrow (for well widthd < 12 Å) and wide (for d > 117 Å and d > 65 Å for finitelythick barriers and infinitely thick ones, respectively) wells, whereas thatis from the scattering of confined optical phonons in a well with anintermediate width. It is shown that the electron mobility decreases withincreasing Al molar fraction and temperature, whereas increases obviouslywith increasing electron sheet density. The theoretical calculated electronmobility is 978 cm2/V?s which is higher than an available experimentaldata 875 cm2/V?s when x equals to 0.58 at room temperature. Theresults under hydrostatic pressure considering the modification of strainindicate that the mobility increases slightly as hydrostatic pressureincreases from 0 to 10 GPa.  相似文献

A Nd:YAG laser operating in second harmonic (532 nm), 3 ns pulse duration, 150 mJ pulse energy, and 10 Hz repetition rate, is employed to irradiate Al2O3 target placed in high vacuum. The produced plasma is investigated by an ion collector used in time-of-flight configuration and by a mass quadrupole spectrometer, in order to determine the equivalent plasma temperature and the atomic and molecular composition. Pulsed laser deposition technique has been used to produce thin films on different substrates placed close to the target. Different surface analyses, such as energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and surface profilometry are employed to characterize the produced films. Measurements of ablation yield, plasma equivalent temperature, acceleration voltage and characterization of grown thin films are presented and discussed.  相似文献

Polymer stabilized cholesteric texture cells with various chiral and monomer concentrations were fabricated. Electro-optical measurement indicates that the chiral concentration and the monomer concentration significantly influence the hysteresis, threshold voltage and field-on and field-off response times of the cell. The chiral dopant is found to increase the hysteresis width and to decrease the field-off response time of the cell. The monomer is found to decrease the hysteresis width and to increase the field-off response time of the cell. The field-on response time is independent of the monomer concentration and the chiral concentration of the cell. A thinner cell has a smaller hysteresis width. Two sets of samples of SnO2/In2O3/TiO2 system have been fabricated with different concentrations of component materials. In the first set TiO2 with rutile structure was used, while in the second set it has the structure of anatase. Thin films (up to 50 nm) of obtained mixtures were deposited. Their sensitivity and selectivity with respect to methane (CH4) were studied. Nanostructure on the basis of 70%SnO2 — 10%In2O3 — 20%TiO2(anatase) exhibits sufficient sensitivity to methane.  相似文献

The thin-film photocatalysts TiO2/MoO3 and TiO2/MoO3:V2O5 obtained by a combination of sol–gel and sintering techniques were studied using the photooxidation of probing dyes, EPR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and electron microscopy. It was shown that due to charge accumulation caused by UV irradiation, these photocatalysts retain their oxidative activity and ability for self-sterilization in the dark for a long time after irradiation was terminated (up to 5 h for TiO2/MoO3:V2O5).  相似文献

The laser-ablation-induced breakdown of glass composites with nanodimensional coatings obtained by the sol–gel method is studied. It is found that the threshold energy of breakdown depends on the refractive index and light transmission coefficient of the sample. It increases with the refractive index and decreases with decreasing the light transmission coefficient in the range 400–900 nm. This can be explained by the difference in the reflection coefficients of the samples.  相似文献

This is an IR spectroscopic study of the interaction of CO with In2O3 and the nanocomposite In2O3-Au. A mechanism for low-temperature detection of CO on nanocomposite In2O3-Au can be determined from these data. This process includes catalytic oxidation of CO through formation of intermediate complexes involving hydroxyl groups of In2O3.  相似文献

This article reports on the preparation of chromium(III) oxide nanoparticles by detonation. For this purpose, a high explosive—hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (RDX)—has been solidified from a solution infiltrated into the macro- and mesoporosity of Cr2O3 powder obtained by the combustion of ammonium dichromate. The resulting Cr2O3/RDX nanocomposite material was embedded in a cylindrical charge of pure explosive and detonated in order to fragment the metallic oxide into nanoparticles. The resulting soot contains Cr2O3 nanoparticles, nanodiamonds, amorphous carbon species and inorganic particles resulting from the erosion by the blast of the detonation tank wall. The purification process consists in (i) removing the carbonaceous species by an oxidative treatment at 500 °C and (ii) dissolving the mineral particles by a chemical treatment with hydrofluoric acid. Contrary to what could be expected, the Cr2O3 particles formed during the detonation are twice larger than those of initial Cr2O3. The detonation causes the fragmentation of the porous oxide and the melting of resulting particles. Nanometric droplets of molten Cr2O3 are ejected and quenched by the water in which the charge is fired. Despite their larger size, the Cr2O3 nanoparticles prepared by detonation were found to be less aggregated than those of the initial oxide used as precursor. Finally, the Cr2O3 synthesized by detonation was used to prepare a superthermite with aluminium nanoparticles. This material possesses a lower sensitivity and a more regular combustion compared to the one made of initial Cr2O3.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of ions produced upon ablation of Al and ceramic Al2O3 targets using nanosecond laser pulses at 193 nm (6.4 eV) as a function of the laser fluence from threshold up to 12 J cm−2. An electrical (Langmuir) probe located at 40 mm from the target surface has been used for determining the ion yield and calculating the kinetic energy distributions. The results for both targets show the existence of a significant amount of ions having kinetic energies >200 eV (≈20% around threshold fluence), and kinetic energies are up to >1.5 keV. The results are related with the existence of direct photonionization processes caused by the photon energy of the laser being higher than the ionization potential of Al (5.98 eV). Comparison of the ion yield when ablating the two types of targets for fluences above threshold to data reported in the literature suggests that the magnitude of the yield and its threshold are parameters depending on the thermal properties of the target rather than on the laser wavelength. Around threshold, the different behavior of ion yield when ablating Al and Al2O3 targets suggests that the threshold for neutral aluminium and ion species in the case of ablation of the Al2O3 target must be similar.  相似文献

We report the experimental observation of random wavelength emission and intensity-dependent central-wavelength shift in a diode-pumped Yb3+-doped Y2O3 ceramic laser. We show experimentally that, like conventional lasers, the emission of the laser has fixed well-defined transverse modes; however, its instantaneous emission wavelengths change randomly with time. The central wavelength of the laser emission also shifts with the intracavity light intensity. A model was developed to describe the spectral behavior of Yb3+-doped lasers. We show that the observed random wavelength emission and central lasing wavelength shift of the laser could be well explained based on the strong reabsorption of light in the gain medium. Nanosize films of In2O3:Ga2O3 (96:4 weight %) have been deposited on a glassceramic substrate by the method of rf magnetron sputtering. The surfaces of fabricated films were studied with use of a scanning electron microscope; sizes of grains were determined and the thicknesses of films were measured. In order to prepare a gas-sensitive structure, a thin catalytic palladium layer and ohmic comb contacts were deposited on the In2O3:Ga2O3 film surface by the method of ion-plasma sputtering. The sensitivity of sensors based on the glassceramic/In2O3:Ga2O3 (96:4 weight %)/Pd structure to different concentrations of propane and butane gas mixture, as well as to methane was investigated at temperatures of working substance from 250 to 300°C.  相似文献

Heterogeneous photo-Fenton SiO2/Fe3O4/C@TiO2 (SFCT) catalyst with a core-multishell structure and a diameter of about 550 nm was successfully prepared and was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), TEM, XRD, Raman, and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). The results illustrated that anatase TiO2 coexisted with rutile TiO2, in which the anatase phase was the main crystal phase. In addition, the catalytic activity of SFCT catalyst had been evaluated in the catalytic degradation on p-nitrophenol (PNP). The influence factors on the PNP degradation, including SFCT component ratio (m SFC/ m TiO2), H2O2 dosage, solution pH, and PNP concentration, had been investigated. And the contrast experiments about the photo-Fenton catalytic mechanism revealed that the SFCT-2 catalyst possessed a superior activity in the neutral environment due to the optimal activity matching between Fe3O4 and TiO2, and it exhibited the stable catalytic performance after five successive recycles. Therefore, the SFCT-2 catalyst had a promising application for the photo-Fenton degradation of organic contaminant.  相似文献

Minimizing of the boundary friction coefficient is critical for engine efficiency improvement. It is known that the tribological behavior has a major role in controlling the performance of automotive engines in terms of the fuel consumption. The purpose of this research is an experimental study to minimize the boundary friction coefficient via nano-lubricant additives. The tribological characteristics of Al2O3 and TiO2 nano-lubricants were evaluated under reciprocating test conditions to simulate a piston ring/cylinder liner interface in automotive engines. The nanoparticles were suspended in a commercially available lubricant in a concentration of 0.25 wt.% to formulate the nano-lubricants. The Al2O3 and TiO2 nanoparticles had sizes of 8–12 and 10 nm, respectively. The experimental results have shown that the boundary friction coefficient reduced by 35–51% near the top and bottom dead center of the stroke (TDC and BDC) for the Al2O3 and TiO2 nano-lubricants, respectively. The anti-wear mechanism was generated via the formation of protective films on the worn surfaces of the ring and liner. These results will be a promising approach for improving fuel economy in automotive.

This paper reports the first results obtained on monobarium gallate thin films grown on silicon and platinum coated substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The influence of oxygen background pressure and substrate (or post-annealing) temperature on the film properties was studied. The films were characterized by XRD, RHEED, AFM, photoelectron and electrical impedance spectroscopy. The structure analysis showed that the films crystallized into a hexagonal phase, most probably into (metastable) α-BaGa2O4. Depending on deposition conditions, films with different (from nearly epitaxial to polycrystalline) textures were obtained.  相似文献

ZnGa2O4 thin-film phosphors have been grown on Si(100), Al2O3(0001) and MgO(100) substrates using pulsed laser deposition. The structural characterization was carried out on a series of ZnGa2O4 films grown on various substrates under various substrate temperatures and oxygen pressures. The films grown on these substrates not only have different crystallinity and surface morphology, but also different Zn/Ga composition ratio. The crystallinity and photoluminescence (PL) of the ZnGa2O4 films are highly dependent on the deposition conditions, in particular the stoichiometry ratio of Zn/Ga and the kind of substrate. The variation of Zn/Ga in the films also depends on not only the oxygen pressure but also the substrate temperature during deposition. The PL properties of pulsed laser deposited ZnGa2O4 thin films have indicated that Al2O3(0001) and MgO(100) are promising substrates for the growth of high-quality ZnGa2O4 thin films and that the luminescence brightness depends on the substrate. The luminescence spectra show a broad band extending from 350 to 600 nm and peaking at 460 nm. Lithium vanadium-borate glasses with the composition of 0.3Li2O–(0.7-x)B2O3xV2O5 (x?=?0.3, 0.325, 0.35, 0.375, 0.4, 0.425, 0.45, and 0.475) were prepared by melt-quenching method. According to differential scanning calorimetry data, vanadium oxide acts as both glass former and glass modifier, since the thermal stability of glasses decreases with an increase in V2O5 concentration. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy data show that the vibrations of [VO4] structural units occur at V2O5 concentration of 45 mol%. It is established that the concentration of V4+ ions increases exponentially with the growth of vanadium oxide concentration. Direct and alternative current measurements are carried out to estimate the contribution both electronic and ionic conductivities to the value of total conductivity. It is shown that the electronic conductivity is predominant in the total one. The glass having the composition of 0.3Li2O-0.275B2O3-0.475V2O5 shows the highest electrical conductivity that has the value of 7.4?×?10?5 S cm?1 at room temperature.  相似文献

The Br-doped hollow TiO2 photocatalysts were prepared by a simple hydrothermal process on the carbon sphere template following with calcination at 400 °C. The structure and properties of photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectrum, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscopy, N2 desorption–adsorption, UV–Vis spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The TiO2 hollow spheres are in diameter of 500 nm with shell thickness of 50 nm. The shell is composed of small anatase nanoparticles with size of about 10 nm. The TiO2 hollow spheres exhibit high crystalline and high surface area of 89.208 m2/g. With increasing content of Br doping, the band gap of TiO2 hollow spheres decreased from 2.85 to 1.75 eV. The formation of impurity band in the band gap would narrow the band gap and result in the red shift of absorption edge from 395 to 517 nm, which further enhances the photocatalytic activity. The appropriate Br doping improves the photocatlytic activity significantly. The TiO2 hollow spheres with 1.55% Br doping (0.5Br-TiO2) exhibit the highest photocatalytic activity under full light. More than 98% of RhB, MO, and MB can be photodegraded using 0.5Br-TiO2 with concentration of 10 mg/L in 40, 30, and 30 min, respectively. The degradation rate of Br-doped photocatalysts was 40% faster than undoped ones.
