Flexible lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) have recently attracted increasing attention with the fast development of bendable electronic systems. Herein, a facile and template‐free solvothermal method is presented for the fabrication of hybrid yolk–shell CoS2 and nitrogen‐doped graphene (NG) sheets. The yolk–shell architecture of CoS2 encapsulated with NG coating is designed for the dual protection of CoS2 to address the structural and interfacial stability concerns facing the CoS2 anode. The as‐prepared composite can be assembled into a film, which can be used as a binder‐free and flexible electrode for LIBs that does not require any carbon black conducting additives or current collectors. When evaluating lithium‐storage properties, such a flexible electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 992 mAh g?1 in the first reversible discharge capacity at a current rate of 100 mA g?1 and high reversible capacity of 882 mAh g?1 after 150 cycles with excellent capacity retention of 89.91 %. Furthermore, a reversible capacity as high as 655 mAh g?1 is still achieved after 50 cycles even at a high rate of 5 C due to the yolk–shell structure and NG coating, which not only provide short Li‐ion and electron pathways, but also accommodate large volume variation.  相似文献

The preparation of novel one‐dimensional core–shell Fe/Fe2O3 nanowires as anodes for high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) is reported. The nanowires are prepared in a facile synthetic process in aqueous solution under ambient conditions with subsequent annealing treatment that could tune the capacity for lithium storage. When this hybrid is used as an anode material for LIBs, the outer Fe2O3 shell can act as an electrochemically active material to store and release lithium ions, whereas the highly conductive and inactive Fe core functions as nothing more than an efficient electrical conducting pathway and a remarkable buffer to tolerate volume changes of the electrode materials during the insertion and extraction of lithium ions. The core–shell Fe/Fe2O3 nanowire maintains an excellent reversible capacity of over 767 mA h g?1 at 500 mA g?1 after 200 cycles with a high average Coulombic efficiency of 98.6 %. Even at 2000 mA g?1, a stable capacity as high as 538 mA h g?1 could be obtained. The unique composition and nanostructure of this electrode material contribute to this enhanced electrochemical performance. Due to the ease of large‐scale fabrication and superior electrochemical performance, these hybrid nanowires are promising anode materials for the next generation of high‐performance LIBs.  相似文献

A nanostructured Mn3O4/C electrode was prepared by a one‐step polyol‐assisted pyro‐synthesis without any post‐heat treatments. The as‐prepared Mn3O4/C revealed nanostructured morphology comprised of secondary aggregates formed from carbon‐coated primary particles of average diameters ranging between 20 and 40 nm, as evidenced from the electron microscopy studies. The N2 adsorption studies reveal a hierarchical porous feature in the nanostructured electrode. The nanostructured morphology appears to be related to the present rapid combustion strategy. The nanostructured porous Mn3O4/C electrode demonstrated impressive electrode properties with reversible capacities of 666 mAh g?1 at a current density of 33 mA g?1, good capacity retentions (1141 mAh g?1 with 100 % Coulombic efficiencies at the 100th cycle), and rate capabilities (307 and 202 mAh g?1 at 528 and 1056 mA g?1, respectively) when tested as an anode for lithium‐ion battery applications.  相似文献

Nb2O5 possesses superior fast Li+ storage capability for LIB anodes, benefiting from its fast pseudocapacitive behavior and low volumetric change within the cycling processes. However, the poor electric conductivity for Nb2O5 restricts its reaction kinetics and rate property. Herein, Nb2O5/carbon (C) submicrostructures are fabricated by solvothermal method followed by calcination process. The Nb2O5/C submicrostructures exhibit outstanding rate behavior and cyclic performance (332 (194) mAh g−1 after 1000 cycles at 1 (5) A g−1). The superior electrochemical property is attributed to the distinctive structure for Nb2O5/C submicrostructures, in which Nb2O5 nanoparticles uniformly distributed within Nb2O5/C composite can protect Nb2O5 nanoparticles from agglomeration, and the porous carbon matrix can enhance electron/ion conductivity. This work furnishes a novel strategy for fabricating Nb2O5/C submicrostructures with superior Li+ storage performance, which can be potentially used to design other metal oxide/C submicrostructures for second battery anode.  相似文献

Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) exhibits high theoretical capacities when used as a cathode in lithium ion batteries (LIBs), but its application is limited by its structural instability as well as its low lithium and electronic conductivities. A porous composite of V2O5-SnO2/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was prepared by a hydrothermal method and followed by thermal treatment. The small particles of V2O5, their porous structure and the coexistence of SnO2 and CNTs can all facilitate the diffusion rates of the electrons and lithium ions. Electrochemical impedance spectra indicated higher ionic and electric conductivities, as compared to commercial V2O5. The V2O5-SnO2/CNTs composite gave a reversible discharge capacity of 198 mAh·g?1 at the voltage range of 2.05–4.0 V, measured at a current rate of 200 mA·g?1, while that of the commercial V2O5 was only 88 mAh·g?1, demonstrating that the porous V2O5-SnO2/CNTs composite is a promising candidate for high-performance lithium secondary batteries.  相似文献

Hierarchical tubular structures composed of Co3O4 hollow nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been synthesized by an efficient multi‐step route. Starting from polymer‐cobalt acetate (Co(Ac)2) composite nanofibers, uniform polymer‐Co(Ac)2@zeolitic imidazolate framework‐67 (ZIF‐67) core–shell nanofibers are first synthesized via partial phase transformation with 2‐methylimidazole in ethanol. After the selective dissolution of polymer‐Co(Ac)2 cores, the resulting ZIF‐67 tubular structures can be converted into hierarchical CNTs/Co‐carbon hybrids by annealing in Ar/H2 atmosphere. Finally, the hierarchical CNT/Co3O4 microtubes are obtained by a subsequent thermal treatment in air. Impressively, the as‐prepared nanocomposite delivers a high reversible capacity of 1281 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 with exceptional rate capability and long cycle life over 200 cycles as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

A 3D structured composite of carbon nanofibers@MnO2 on copper foil is reported here as a binder free anode of lithium ion batteries, with high capacity, fast charge/discharge rate and good stability. Carbon nanofiber yarns were synthesized directly over copper foil through a floating catalyst method. The growth of carbon nanofiber yarns was significantly enhanced by mechanical polishing of the copper foils, which can be attributed to the increased surface roughness and surface area of the copper foils. MnO2 was then grown over carbon nanofibers through spontaneous reduction of potassium permanganate by the carbon nanofibers. The obtained composites of carbon nanofibers@MnO2 over copper foil were tested as an anode in lithium ion batteries and they show superior electrochemical performance. The initial reversible capacity of carbon nanofibers@MnO2 reaches up to around 998 mAh·g?1 at a rate of 60 mmA·g?1 based on the mass of carbon nanofibers and MnO2. The carbon nanofibers@MnO2 electrodes could deliver a capacity of 630 mAh·g?1 at the beginning and maintain a capacity of 440 mmAh·g?1 after 105 cycles at a rate of 600 mA·g?1. The high initial capacity can be attributed to the presence of porous carbon nanofiber yarns which have good electrical conductivity and the MnO2 thin film which makes the entire materials electrochemically active. The high cyclic stability of carbon nanofibers@MnO2 can be ascribed to the MnO2 thin film which can accommodate the volume expansion and shrinking during charge and discharge and the good contact of carbon nanofibers with MnO2 and copper foil.  相似文献

A hierarchical fibrous SnO2/carbon nanocomposite composed of fine SnO2 nanocrystallites immobilized as a thin layer on a carbon nanofiber surface was synthesized employing natural cellulose substance as both scaffold and carbon source. It was achieved by calcination/carbonization of the as‐deposited SnO2‐gel/cellulose hybrid in an argon atmosphere. As being employed as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries, the porous structures, small SnO2 crystallite sizes, and the carbon buffering matrix possessed by the nanocomposite facilitate the electrode–electrolyte contact, promote the electron transfer and Li+ diffusion, and relieve the severe volume change and aggregation of the active particles during the charge/discharge cycles. Hence, the nanocomposite showed high reversible capacity, significant cycling stability, and rate capability that are superior to the nanotubular SnO2 and SnO2 sol–gel powder counter materials. For such a composite with 27.8 wt % SnO2 content and 346.4 m2 g?1 specific surface area, a capacity of 623 mAh g?1 was delivered after 120 cycles at 0.2 C. Further coating of the SnO2/carbon nanofibers with an additional carbon layer resulted in an improved cycling stability and rate performance.  相似文献

We have reported for the first time the preparation of yolk–shell‐structured Li4Ti5O12 powders for use as anode materials in lithium‐ion batteries. One Li4Ti5O12 yolk–shell‐particle powder is directly formed from each droplet containing lithium, titanium, and carbon components inside the hot wall reactor maintained at 900 °C. The precursor Li4Ti5O12 yolk–shell‐particle powders, which are directly prepared by spray pyrolysis, have initial discharge and charge capacities of 155 and 122 mA h g?1, respectively, at a current density of 175 mA g?1. Post‐treatment of the yolk–shell‐particle powders at temperatures of 700 and 800 °C improves the initial discharge and charge capacities. The initial discharge capacities of the Li4Ti5O12 powders with a yolk–shell structure and a dense structure post‐treated at 800 °C are 189 and 168 mA h g?1, respectively. After 100 cycles, the corresponding capacities are 172 and 152 mA h g?1, respectively (retentions of 91 and 90 %).  相似文献

To improve the initial coulombic efficiency and bulk density of ordered mesoporous carbons, active Fe2O3 nanoparticles were introduced into tubular mesopore channels of CMK-5 carbon, which possesses high specific surface area (>1700 m2·g?1) and large pore volume (>1.8 cm3·g?1). Fine Fe2O3 nanoparticles with sizes in the range of 5–7 nm were highly and homogenously encapsulated into CMK-5 matrix through ammonia-treatment and subsequent pyrolysis method. The Fe2O3 loading was carefully tailored and designed to warrant a high Fe2O3 content and adequate buffer space for improving the electrochemical performance. In particular, such Fe2O3 and mesoporous carbon composite with 47 wt% loading exhibits a considerably stable cycle performance (683 mAh·g?1 after 100 cycles, 99% capacity retention against that of the second cycle) as well as good rate capability. The fabrication strategy can effectively solve the drawback of single material, and achieve a high-performance lithium electrode material.  相似文献

α‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles are uniformly coated on the surface of α‐MoO3 nanorods through a two‐step hydrothermal synthesis method. As the anode of a lithium‐ion battery, α‐Fe2O3@α‐MoO3 core–shell nanorods exhibit extremely high lithium‐storage performance. At a rate of 0.1 C (10 h per half cycle), the reversible capacity of α‐Fe2O3@α‐MoO3 core–shell nanorods is 1481 mA h g?1 and a value of 1281 mA h g?1 is retained after 50 cycles, which is much higher than that retained by bare α‐MoO3 and α‐Fe2O3 and higher than traditional theoretical results. Such a good performance can be attributed to the synergistic effect between α‐Fe2O3 and α‐MoO3, the small size effect, one‐dimensional nanostructures, short paths for lithium diffusion, and interface spaces. Our results reveal that core–shell nanocomposites have potential applications as high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

A unique hierarchically nanostructured composite of iron oxide/carbon (Fe3O4/C) nanospheres‐doped three‐dimensional (3D) graphene aerogel has been fabricated by a one‐pot hydrothermal strategy. In this novel nanostructured composite aerogel, uniform Fe3O4 nanocrystals (5–10 nm) are individually embedded in carbon nanospheres (ca. 50 nm) forming a pomegranate‐like structure. The carbon matrix suppresses the aggregation of Fe3O4 nanocrystals, avoids direct exposure of the encapsulated Fe3O4 to the electrolyte, and buffers the volume expansion. Meanwhile, the interconnected 3D graphene aerogel further serves to reinforce the structure of the Fe3O4/C nanospheres and enhances the electrical conductivity of the overall electrode. Therefore, the carbon matrix and the interconnected graphene network entrap the Fe3O4 nanocrystals such that their electrochemical function is retained even after fracture. This novel hierarchical aerogel structure delivers a long‐term stability of 634 mA h g?1 over 1000 cycles at a high current density of 6 A g?1 (7 C), and an excellent rate capability of 413 mA h g?1 at 10 A g?1 (11 C), thus exhibiting great potential as an anode composite structure for durable high‐rate lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

Hierarchical SnO2 with double carbon coating (polypyrrole-derived carbon and reduced graphene oxide in order) composites have been successfully synthesized as anode materials for lithium ion batteries. The composites were characterized and examined by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and galvanostatic discharge/charge tests. Such a novel nanostructure can not only provide a high conductivity but also prevent aggregation of SnO2 nanoparticles, leading to the improvement of the cycling performance. Comparing with pure hierarchical SnO2 and polypyrrole-derived carbon-coated hierarchical SnO2, hierarchical SnO2 with double carbon coating composite exhibits higher lithium storage capacities and better cycling performance, 554.8 mAh g?1 after 50 cycles at a current density of 250 mA g?1. In addition, the rate performance of hierarchical SnO2 with double carbon coating composite is also very well. For all the improved performances, this double carbon coating architecture may provide some references for other electrode materials of lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

In this paper, we report an advanced long‐life lithium ion battery, employing a Pyr14TFSI‐LiTFSI non‐flammable ionic liquid (IL) electrolyte, a nanostructured tin carbon (Sn‐C) nanocomposite anode, and a layered LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 (NMC) cathode. The IL‐based electrolyte is characterized in terms of conductivity and viscosity at various temperatures, revealing a Vogel–Tammann–Fulcher (VTF) trend. Lithium half‐cells employing the Sn‐C anode and NMC cathode in the Pyr14TFSI‐LiTFSI electrolyte are investigated by galvanostatic cycling at various temperatures, demonstrating the full compatibility of the electrolyte with the selected electrode materials. The NMC and Sn‐C electrodes are combined into a cathode‐limited full cell, which is subjected to prolonged cycling at 40 °C, revealing a very stable capacity of about 140 mAh g?1 and retention above 99 % over 400 cycles. The electrode/electrolyte interface is further characterized through a combination of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigations upon cell cycling. The remarkable performances reported here definitively indicate that IL‐based lithium ion cells are suitable batteries for application in electric vehicles.  相似文献

A composite of highly dispersed Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) anchored in three‐dimensional hierarchical porous carbon networks (Fe3O4/3DHPC) as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) was prepared by means of a deposition technique assisted by a supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2)‐expanded ethanol solution. The as‐synthesized Fe3O4/3DHPC composite exhibits a bimodal porous 3D architecture with mutually connected 3.7 nm mesopores defined in the macroporous wall on which a layer of small and uniform Fe3O4 NPs was closely coated. As an anode material for LIBs, the Fe3O4/3DHPC composite with 79 wt % Fe3O4 (Fe3O4/3DHPC‐79) delivered a high reversible capacity of 1462 mA h g?1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g?1, and maintained good high‐rate performance (728, 507, and 239 mA h g?1 at 1, 2, and 5 C, respectively). Moreover, it showed excellent long‐term cycling performance at high current densities, 1 and 2 A g?1. The enhanced lithium‐storage behavior can be attributed to the synergistic effect of the porous support and the homogeneous Fe3O4 NPs. More importantly, this straightforward, highly efficient, and green synthetic route will definitely enrich the methodologies for the fabrication of carbon‐based transition‐metal oxide composites, and provide great potential materials for additional applications in supercapacitors, sensors, and catalyses.  相似文献

Lithium metal has been considered as the most promising anode electrode for substantially improving the energy density of next‐generation energy storage devices. However, uncontrollable lithium dendrite growth, an unstable solid electrolyte interface (SEI), and infinite volume variation severely shortens its service lifespan and causes safety hazards, thus hindering the practical application of lithium metal electrodes. Here, carbon fiber film (CFF) modified by lithiophilic Co3O4 nanowires (denoted as Co3O4 Nws) was proposed as a matrix for prestoring lithium metal through a thermal infusion method. The homogeneous needle‐like Co3O4 nanowires can effectively promote molten lithium to infiltrate into the CFF skeleton. The post‐formed Co?Li2O nanowires produced by the reaction of Co3O4 Nws and molten lithium can homogeneously distribute lithium ions flux and efficaciously increase the adsorption energy with lithium ions proved by density functional theory (DFT) calculation, boosting a uniform lithium deposition without dendrite growth. Therefore, the obtained composite anode (denoted as CFF/Co?Li2O@Li) exhibits superior electrochemical performance with high stripping/plating capacities of 3 mAh cm?2 and 5 mAh cm?2 over long‐term cycles in symmetrical batteries. Moreover, in comparison with bare lithium anode, superior Coulombic efficiencies coupled with copper collector and full battery behaviors paired with LiFePO4 cathode are achieved when CFF/Co?Li2O@Li composite anode was employed.  相似文献

CoFe2O4/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) hybrid materials were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis confirmed the morphology of the as‐prepared hybrid material resembling wintersweet flower “buds on branches”, in which CoFe2O4 nanoclusters, consisting of nanocrystals with a size of 5–10 nm, are anchored along carbon nanotubes. When applied as an anode material in lithium ion batteries, the CoFe2O4/MWCNTs hybrid material exhibited a high performance for reversible lithium storage. In particular, the hybrid anode material delivered reversible lithium storage capacities of 809, 765, 539, and 359 mA h g?1 at current densities of 180, 450, 900, and 1800 mA g?1, respectively. The superior performance of CoFe2O4/MWCNTs hybrid materials could be ascribed to the synergistic pinning effect of the wintersweet‐flower‐like nanoarchitecture. This strategy could also be applied to synthesize other metal oxide/CNTs hybrid materials as high‐capacity anode materials for lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

A mesoporous flake‐like manganese‐cobalt composite oxide (MnCo2O4) is synthesized successfully through the hydrothermal method. The crystalline phase and morphology of the materials are characterized by X‐ray diffraction, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller methods. The flake‐like MnCo2O4 is evaluated as the anode material for lithium‐ion batteries. Owing to its mesoporous nature, it exhibits a high reversible capacity of 1066 mA h g?1, good rate capability, and superior cycling stability. As an electrode material for supercapacitors, the flake‐like MnCo2O4 also demonstrates a high supercapacitance of 1487 F g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1, and an exceptional cycling performance over 2000 charge/discharge cycles.  相似文献

Heteroatom doping is an effective method to adjust the electrochemical behavior of carbonaceous materials. In this work, boron‐doped, carbon‐coated SnO2/graphene hybrids (BCTGs) were fabricated by hydrothermal carbonization of sucrose in the presence of SnO2/graphene nanosheets and phenylboronic acid or boric acid as dopant source and subsequent thermal treatment. Owing to their unique 2D core–shell architecture and B‐doped carbon shells, BCTGs have enhanced conductivity and extra active sites for lithium storage. With phenylboronic acid as B source, the resulting hybrid shows outstanding electrochemical performance as the anode in lithium‐ion batteries with a highly stable capacity of 1165 mA h g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 after 360 cycles and an excellent rate capability of 600 mA h g?1 at 3.2 A g?1, and thus outperforms most of the previously reported SnO2‐based anode materials.  相似文献

Unique triple‐shelled Mo‐polydopamine (Mo‐PDA) hollow spheres are synthesized through a facile solvothermal process. A sequential self‐templating mechanism for the multi‐shell formation is proposed, and the number of shells can be adjusted by tuning the size of the Mo‐glycerate templates. These triple‐shelled Mo‐PDA hollow spheres can be converted to triple‐shelled MoO2/carbon composite hollow spheres by thermal treatment. Owing to the unique multi‐shells and hollow interior, the as‐prepared MoO2/carbon composite hollow spheres exhibit appealing performance as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries, delivering a high capacity of ca. 580 mAh g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 with good rate capability and long cycle life.  相似文献
