Rod-like nanocrystals of the semiconductor alloy (ZnS)x(CuInS2)1−x (ZCIS) have been colloidally prepared by using a one-pot non-injection-based synthetic strategy. The ZCIS nanorods crystallize in the hexagonal wurtzite structure and display preferential growth in the direction of the c axis. The bandgap of these quarternary alloyed nanorods can be conveniently tuned by varying the ratio of ZnS to CuInS2. A non-linear relationship between the bandgap and the alloy composition is observed. The ZCIS nanorods are found to exhibit promising photocatalytic behaviour in visible-light-driven degradation of Rhodamine B.  相似文献

Cu(2)SnS(3) nanocrystals with metastable zincblende and wurtzite structures have been successfully synthesized for the first time. Alloyed (ZnS)(x)(Cu(2)SnS(3))(1-x) and (CuInS(2))(x)(Cu(2)SnS(3))(1-x) nanocrystals with arbitrary composition (0 ≤x≤ 1) and ultra-broad tunable band gaps (3.63 to 0.94 eV) were obtained.  相似文献

High-quality ZnS-CuInS(2) (ZCIS) alloy nanocrystals have been synthesized via reaction between the acetate salts of the corresponding metals and elemental sulfur in the presence of dodecanethiol in octadecene media at 230 °C. The PL emission wavelength can be tuned conveniently via variation of the stoichiometric ratio of their components. The influence of various experimental variables, including Zn/CuIn ratio, amount of sulfur and dodecanethiol, and reaction temperature, on the optical properties and composition of the obtained ZCIS NCs have been systematically investigated. The plain ZCIS NCs did show PL emission but with quite low PL quantum yield (typically below 3%). In order to improve the PL emission efficiency, the ZnS shell was subsequently overcoated around the ZCIS core NCs. With ZnS shell growth, the PL emission wavelength of the resulting ZCIS/ZnS NCs can cover from 518 to 810 nm with the maximum PL quantum efficiency up to 56%. Furthermore, the obtained ZCIS/ZnS NCs show promising photocatalytic activity in the degradation of rhodamine B.  相似文献

A promising photocatalytic system in the form of heterostructured nanocrystals (HNCs) is presented wherein alloyed ZnS–CuInS2 (ZCIS) semiconductor nanorods are decorated with Pt and Pd4S nanoparticles. This is apparently the first report on the colloidal preparation and photocatalytic behavior of ZCIS–Pt and ZCIS–Pd4S nanoscale heterostructures. Incorporation of Pt and Pd4S cocatalysts leads to considerable enhancement of the photocatalytic activity of ZCIS for visible‐light‐driven hydrogen production.  相似文献

(CuIn)(x)Zn2(1-x)S2 solid solutions between a ZnS photocatalyst with a wide band gap and CuInS(2) with a narrow band gap showed photocatalytic activities for H(2) evolution from aqueous solutions containing sacrificial reagents SO(3)(2-) and S(2-) under visible-light irradiation (lambda >/= 420 nm). Pt (0.5 wt %)-loaded (CuIn)(0.09)Zn(1.82)S(2) with a 2.3-eV band gap showed the highest activity for H(2) evolution, and the apparent quantum yield at 420 nm amounted to 12.5%. H(2) evolved at a rate of 1.5 L h(-1) m(-2) under irradiation with a solar simulator (AM 1.5). Diffuse reflection and photoluminescence spectra of the solid solutions shifted monotonically to a long wavelength side, as the ratio of CuInS(2) to ZnS increased in the solid solutions. The photocatalytic H(2) evolution depended on the composition as well as the photophysical properties. DFT calculations suggested that the visible-light response should be derived from the contribution of Cu 3d and S 3p orbitals to the valence band and that of In 5s5p and Zn 4s4p orbitals to the conduction band, respectively. The contribution of these orbitals to the energy bands affected the photophysical and photocatalytic properties.  相似文献

Metastable zinc blende CuInSe(2) nanocrystals were synthesized by a hot-injection approach. It was found that the lattice mismatches between zinc blende CuInSe(2) and ZnSe as well as CuInSe(2) and CuInS(2) are only 2.0% and 4.6%, respectively. Thus, alloyed (ZnSe)(x)(CuInSe(2))(1-x) and CuInSe(x)S(2-x) nanocrystals with a zinc blende structure have been successfully synthesized over the entire composition range, and the band gaps of alloys can be tuned in the range from 2.82 to 0.96 eV and 1.43 to 0.98 eV, respectively. These alloyed (ZnSe)(x)(CuInSe(2))(1-x) and CuInSe(x)S(2-x) nanocrystals with a broad tunable band gap have a high potential for photovoltaic and photocatalytic applications.  相似文献

Cu(2)S-CuInS(2) hybrid nanostructures as well as pure CuInS(2) (CIS) nanocrystals were synthesized by methods of colloidal chemistry. The structure, the shape and the composition of these nanomaterials were investigated with transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). By changing the reaction conditions, CuInS(2) nanorods with different aspect ratio, dimeric nanorods as well as hexagonal discs and P-shaped particles could be synthesized. Under our reaction conditions, CIS nanoparticles crystallize in the hexagonal wurtzite structure, as confirmed by Rietveld analysis of the X-ray diffraction patterns. The formation of Cu(2)S-CuInS(2) hybrid nanostructures turned out to be an essential intermediate step in the growth of CIS nanoparticles, the copper sulphide part of the hybrid material playing an important role in the shape control of the CIS nanocrystals. By a treatment of Cu(2)S-CuInS(2) with 1,10-phenanthroline, Cu(2)S parts of the hybrid nanostructures could be removed, and pure CIS nanoparticles with shapes not accessible with other methods can be obtained. Our synthetic procedure turned out to be suitable to synthesize also other compounds, like CuInS(2)-ZnS alloys, and to modify, in this way, the optical properties of the nanocrystals.  相似文献

La(OH)(3) nanorods were self-stacked on the glass slide substrates using an aqueous suspension obtained from the hydrolysis of LaOCl. The key for producing a high optical quality film of La(OH)(3) lies in the preparation of an aqueous suspension in which La(OH)(3) nanorods are well dispersed. These thin-film coatings of La(OH)(3) nanorods led to a significantly reduced reflective losses in the visible region, exhibiting an attractive and potentially useful single-layer antireflection property. Furthermore, La(OH)(3) nanorod layer provides a sufficiently porous and rough surface required to achieve superhydrophilicity. Thus, when SiO(2) nanoparticles of ca. 20nm in diameter were deposited onto La(OH)(3) layer of high roughness, the resulting La(OH)(3)/SiO(2) film demonstrated an interesting nanoporosity-derived superhydrophilicity and antifogging property with no significant loss of antireflective property.  相似文献

Systematic analytical procedures have been developed for determination of the stoichiometry of CuInS(2) and estimation of trace elements, including dopants and impurities, in the material. Samples of CuInS(2) are digested in an oxidizing acid to ensure completely transformation into Cu(2+), In(3+) and SO(4)(2-) ions. The stoichiometry determination is made sequentially by controlled potential electro-deposition of copper, followed by its EDTA titration, titrimetric determination of indium and gravimetric determination of sulphate, in a single sample solution. The relative errors for the determination of Cu and In are found to be -0.08% and +0.11% respectively, fulfilling the requirement for accurate stoichiometry assessment; that for S is -0.66%, which though rather high is still acceptable. For the determination of trace elements in CuInS(2), multistage combined procedures are employed. Cu in the sample solution is removed by electro-deposition and In by extraction of HInBr(4) with isopropyl ether, then most of the trace elements are finally determined by atomic-absorption spectrometry, and the rest by neutron-activation analysis. All the steps involved in the procedures have been optimized by using radioisotopes as tracers. By the procedures developed, a wide range of trace elements in CuInS(2), down to submicrogram level, can be determined.  相似文献

The photophysics of Cd(OH)(2)-coated Q-CdS in the presence of guanine and related compounds has been examined. Guanine and adenine quench the bandgap emission and reduce the emission lifetime of these particles. Approximately 50% of the bandgap fluorescence is quenched by a low [guanine] (2x10(-5) mol dm(-3)). Quenching takes place with a bimolecular rate constant of 2x10(12) dm(3) mol(-1) s(-1). The presence of these additives did not affect the red emission appreciably. The nature of the interaction between Cd(OH)(2) layer of Q-CdS and the additive has been analyzed by fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy. Interception of the hole by guanine and adenine occurs through their adsorption and hydrogen-bonding interaction between the -OH of Cd(OH)(2) and certain functional groups of the additive. Cd(OH)(2)-coated Q-CdS sensitizes the photodecomposition of guanine efficiently in the presence of oxygen under visible light irradiation. Shallowly trapped and direct holes are suggested to participate in the oxidation. The reactivity of the hole is governed by the redox potential of the solute. Copyright 2001 Academic Press.  相似文献

The reaction of the anticancer active compound [Rh(2)(mu-O(2)CCH(3))(2)(bpy)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)](2) (1) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) with NaC(6)H(5)S under anaerobic conditions yields Rh(2)(eta(1)-C(6)H(5)S)(2)(mu-C(6)H(5)S)(2)(bpy)(2).CH(3)OH (2), which was characterized by UV-visible, IR, and (1)H NMR spectroscopies as well as single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Compound 2 crystallizes as dark red platelets in the monoclinic space group C2/c with cell parameters a = 20.398(4) A, b = 11.861(2) A, c = 17.417(4) A, beta = 108.98 degrees, V = 3984.9(14) A(3), Z = 4. The main structural features are the presence of a [Rh(2)](4+) core with a Rh-Rh distance of 2.549(2) A bridged by two benzene thiolate ligands in a butterfly-type arrangement. The axial positions of the [Rh(2)](4+) core are occupied by two terminal benzene thiolates. Cyclic voltammetric studies of 2 reveal that the compound exhibits an irreversible oxidation at +0.046 V in CH(3)CN, which is in accord with the fact that the compound readily oxidizes in the presence of O(2). The fact that this unusual dirhodium(II/II) thiolate compound is formed under these conditions is an important first step in understanding the metabolism of dirhodium anticancer active compounds with thiol-containing peptides and proteins.  相似文献

The phenylgallium-containing clusters constructed with bridging imido and amido ligands, (PhGa)(4)(NH(i)Bu)(4)(N(i)Bu)(2) (1) (51% yield) and (PhGa)(7)(NHMe)(4)(NMe)(5) (2) (31% yield), were synthesized from the room-temperature reactions of bis(dimethylamido)phenylgallium, [PhGa(NMe(2))(2)](2), with isobutylamine and methylamine, respectively. The reaction of [PhGa(NMe(2))(2)](2) in refluxing isobutylamine (85 degrees C) afforded (Ph(2)GaNH(i)Bu)(2) as one of the products, while the reaction of [PhGa(NMe(2))(2)](2) with methylamine at 150 degrees C afforded compound 2 in only 9% yield. Compound 1 possessed an admantane-like Ga(4)N(6) core, whereas compound 2 had a novel Ga(7)N(9) core constructed with both chair- and boat-shaped Ga(3)N(3) rings. The presence of several isomers of compounds 1 and 2 in solution is discussed along the structural similarities with other known gallium-nitrogen clusters and with gallium nitride.  相似文献

Oxidative addition of the sulfur-sulfur bond of 2,2'-pyridine disulfide (C(5)H(4)NS-SC(5)H(4)N) with L(3)W(CO)(3) [L = pyridine, (1)/(3)CHPT; CHPT = cycloheptatriene] in methylene chloride solution yields the seven-coordinate W(II) thiolate complex W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) (mp = monoanion of 2-mercaptopyridine). This complex undergoes slow further oxidative addition with additional pyridine disulfide, yielding W(eta(2)- mp)(4). Reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) with NO results in quantitative formation of the six-coordinate W(0) complex W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2). Reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(CO)(3) with NO in the presence of added pyridine disulfide yields the seven-coordinate W(II) nitrosyl complex W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) as well as W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2) and trace amounts of W(eta(2)-mp)(4). The complex W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) is formed during the course of the reaction and not by reaction of W(eta(2)-mp)(4) or W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2) with NO under these conditions. The crystal structures of W(eta(2)- mp)(2)(CO)(3), W(eta(2)-mp)(2)(NO)(2), and W(eta(2)-mp)(3)(NO) are reported.  相似文献

Reaction of FvW(2)(H)(2)(CO)(6) with 2/8S(8) in THF results in rapid and quantitative formation of FvW(2)(SH)(2)(CO)(6). The crystal structure of this complex is reported and shows that the two tungsten-hydrosulfide groups are on opposite faces of the fulvalene ligand in an anti configuration. Nevertheless, treatment of FvW(2)(SH)(2)(CO)(6) (1) with PhN[double bond]NPh produces FvW(2)(mu-S(2))(CO)(6) (2) and Ph(H)NN(H)Ph. The crystal structure of the bridging disulfide, which cocrystallizes with 1 in a 2:1 ratio, is also described. Exposure of 2 equiv of *CrCp*(CO)(3) to 1 effects similar H atom transfers yielding 2 HCrCp*(CO)(3) and 2. Attempts to obtain crystals of the latter from solutions derived from this reaction mixture furnished a third product, FvW(2)(mu-S)(CO)(6) (3), which was analyzed crystallographically. The enthalpy of sulfur atom insertion into FvW(2)(H)(2)(CO)(6), yielding 1, has been measured by solution calorimetry.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of ZnS-AgInS2 solid solution (ZAIS) were synthesized by the thermal decomposition of (AgIn)xZn2(1-x)(S2CN(C2H5)2)4 precursors in a hot oleylamine solution. X-ray powder diffraction analyses revealed that the resulting nanoparticle powders were not a mixture of ZnS and AgInS2 but a ZnS-AgInS2 solid solution in which the fraction of ZnS was enlarged with a decrease in the value of x, that is, an increase in the content of Zn2+ in the precursors used. The energy gap of ZAIS nanoparticles could be controlled by the composition of solid solution. Intense emission was observed at room temperature, regardless of the kind of the particles, the peak wavelength of PL being blue-shifted from 720 to 540 nm with a decrease in the value of x. The highest quantum yield of ca. 24% was obtained for nanoparticles prepared with x = 0.86, which was much higher than the quantum yields reported for I-III-VI2-based semiconductor nanoparticles, such as CuInS2 and ZnS-CuInS2 solid solution.  相似文献

A trinuclear rhenium sulfide cluster complex, [(Ph(3)P)(2)N][Re(3)(mu(3)-S)(mu-S)(3)Cl(6)(PMe(2)Ph)(3)], synthesized from Re(3)S(7)Cl(7), dimethylphenylphosphine, and [(Ph(3)P)(2)N]Cl is readily converted to a bridging SO(2) complex, [(Ph(3)P)(2)N][Re(3)(mu(3)-S)(mu-S)(2)(mu-SO(2))Cl(6)(PMe(2)Ph)(3)], by reaction with O(2). The oxygen atoms on the SO(2) ligand react with phosphines or phosphites to form phosphine oxides or phosphates, and the original cluster complex is recovered. The reaction course has been monitored by (31)P NMR as well as by UV-vis spectroscopy. The catalytic oxygenation of PMePh(2) in the presence of the SO(2) complex shows that turnovers are 8 per hour at 23 degrees C in CDCl(3). The X-ray structures of the cluster complexes are described.  相似文献

Condensation of cyanometalates and cluster building blocks leads to the formation of hybrid molecular cyanometalate cages. Specifically, the reaction of [Cs subset [CpCo(CN)(3)](4)[CpRu](3)] and [(cymene)(2)Ru(3)S(2)(NCMe)(3)]PF(6) produced [Cs subset [CpCo(CN)(3)](4)[(cymene)(2)Ru(3)S(2)][CpRu](3)](PF(6))(2), Cs subset Co(4)Ru(6)S(2)(2+). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy, and ESI-MS measurements show that Cs subset Co(4)Ru(6)S(2)(2+ ) consists of a Ru(4)Co(4)(CN)(12) box fused with a Ru(3)S(2) cluster via a common Ru atom. The reaction of PPN[CpCo(CN)(3)] and 0.75 equiv of [(cymene)(2)(MeCN)(3)Ru(3)S(2)](PF(6))(2) in MeCN solution produced [[CpCo(CN)(3)](4)[(cymene)(2)Ru(3)S(2)](3)](PF(6))(2), Co(4)Ru(9)S(6)(2+). Crystallographic analysis, together with NMR and ESI-MS measurements, shows that Co(4)Ru(9)S(6)(2+ ) consists of a Ru(3)Co(4)(CN)(9) "defect box" core, wherein each Ru is fused to a Ru(3)S(2) clusters. The analogous condensation using [CpRh(CN)(3)](-) in place of [CpCo(CN)(3)](-) produced the related cluster-cage Rh(4)Ru(9)S(6)(2+). Electrochemical analyses of both Co(4)Ru(9)S(6)(2+) and Rh(4)Ru(9)S(6)(2+) can be rationalized in the context of reduction at the cluster and the Co(III) subunits, the latter being affected by the presence of alkali metal cations.  相似文献

The reaction of Mn(O(2)CPh)(2).2H(2)O and PhCO(2)H in EtOH/MeCN with NBu(n)(4)MnO(4) gives (NBu(n)(4))[Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CPh)(9)(H(2)O)] (4) in high yield (85-95%). Complex 4 crystallizes in monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with the following unit cell parameters at -129 degrees C: a = 17.394(3) ?, b = 19.040(3) ?, c = 25.660(5) ?, beta = 103.51(1) degrees, V = 8262.7 ?(3), Z = 4; the structure was refined on F to R (R(w)) = 9.11% (9.26%) using 4590 unique reflections with F > 2.33sigma(F). The anion of 4 consists of a [Mn(4)(&mgr;(3)-O)(2)](8+) core with a "butterfly" disposition of four Mn(III) atoms. In addition to seven bridging PhCO(2)(-) groups, there is a chelating PhCO(2)(-) group at one "wingtip" Mn atom and terminal PhCO(2)(-) and H(2)O groups at the other. Complex 4 is an excellent steppingstone to other [Mn(4)O(2)]-containing species. Treatment of 4 with 2,2-diethylmalonate (2 equiv) leads to isolation of (NBu(n)(4))(2)[Mn(8)O(4)(O(2)CPh)(12)(Et(2)mal)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] (5) in 45% yield after recrystallization. Complex 5 is mixed-valent (2Mn(II),6Mn(III)) and contains an [Mn(8)O(4)](14+) core that consists of two [Mn(4)O(2)](7+) (Mn(II),3Mn(III)) butterfly units linked together by one of the &mgr;(3)-O(2)(-) ions in each unit bridging to one of the body Mn atoms in the other unit, and thus converting to &mgr;(4)-O(2)(-) modes. The Mn(II) ions are in wingtip positions. The Et(2)mal(2)(-) groups each bridge two wingtip Mn atoms from different butterfly units, providing additional linkage between the halves of the molecule. Complex 5.4CH(2)Cl(2) crystallizes in monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with the following unit cell parameters at -165 degrees C: a = 16.247(5) ?, b = 27.190(8) ?, c = 17.715(5) ?, beta = 113.95(1) degrees, V = 7152.0 ?(3), Z = 4; the structure was refined on F to R (R(w)) = 8.36 (8.61%) using 4133 unique reflections with F > 3sigma(F). The reaction of 4 with 2 equiv of bpy or picolinic acid (picH) yields the known complex Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CPh)(7)(bpy)(2) (2), containing Mn(II),3Mn(III), or (NBu(n)(4))[Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CPh)(7)(pic)(2)] (6), containing 4Mn(III). Treatment of 4 with dibenzoylmethane (dbmH, 2 equiv) gives the mono-chelate product (NBu(n)(4))[Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CPh)(8)(dbm)] (7); ligation of a second chelate group requires treatment of 7 with Na(dbm), which yields (NBu(n)(4))[Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)CPh)(7)(dbm)(2)] (8). Complexes 7 and 8 both contain a [Mn(4)O(2)](8+) (4Mn(III)) butterfly unit. Complex 7 contains chelating dbm(-) and chelating PhCO(2)(-) at the two wingtip positions, whereas 8 contains two chelating dbm(-) groups at these positions, as in 2 and 6. Complex 7.2CH(2)Cl(2) crystallizes in monoclinic space group P2(1) with the following unit cell parameters at -170 degrees C: a = 18.169(3) ?, b = 19.678(4) ?, c = 25.036(4) ?, beta = 101.49(1) degrees, V = 8771.7 ?(3), Z = 4; the structure was refined on F to R (R(w)) = 7.36% (7.59%) using 10 782 unique reflections with F > 3sigma(F). Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies have been carried out on powdered samples of complexes 2 and 5 in a 10.0 kG field in the 5.0-320.0 K range. The effective magnetic moment (&mgr;(eff)) for 2 gradually decreases from 8.61 &mgr;(B) per molecule at 320.0 K to 5.71 &mgr;(B) at 13.0 K and then increases slightly to 5.91 &mgr;(B) at 5.0 K. For 5, &mgr;(eff) gradually decreases from 10.54 &mgr;(B) per molecule at 320.0 K to 8.42 &mgr;(B) at 40.0 K, followed by a more rapid decrease to 6.02 &mgr;(B) at 5.0 K. On the basis of the crystal structure of 5 showing the single Mn(II) ion in each [Mn(4)O(2)](7+) subcore to be at a wingtip position, the Mn(II) ion in 2 was concluded to be at a wingtip position also. Employing the reasonable approximation that J(w)(b)(Mn(II)/Mn(III)) = J(w)(b)(Mn(III)/M(III)), where J(w)(b) is the magnetic exchange interaction between wingtip (w) and body (b) Mn ions of the indicated oxidation state, a theoretical chi(M) vs T expression was derived and used to fit the experimental molar magnetic susceptibility (chi(M)) vs T data. The obtained fitting parameters were J(w)(b) = -3.9 cm(-)(1), J(b)(b) = -9.2 cm(-)(1), and g = 1.80. These values suggest a S(T) = (5)/(2) ground state spin for 2, which was confirmed by magnetization vs field measurements in the 0.5-50.0 kG magnetic field range and 2.0-30.0 K temperature range. For complex 5, since the two bonds connecting the two [Mn(4)O(2)](7+) units are Jahn-Teller elongated and weak, it was assumed that complex 5 could be treated, to a first approximation, as consisting of weakly-interacting halves; the magnetic susceptibility data for 5 at temperatures >/=40 K were therefore fit to the same theoretical expression as used for 2, and the fitting parameters were J(w)(b) = -14.0 cm(-)(1) and J(b)(b) = -30.5 cm(-)(1), with g = 1.93 (held constant). These values suggest an S(T) = (5)/(2) ground state spin for each [Mn(4)O(2)](7+) unit of 5, as found for 2. The interactions between the subunits are difficult to incorporate into this model, and the true ground state spin value of the entire Mn(8) anion was therefore determined by magnetization vs field studies, which showed the ground state of 5 to be S(T) = 3. The results of the studies on 2 and 5 are considered with respect to spin frustration effects within the [Mn(4)O(2)](7+) units. Complexes 2 and 5 are EPR-active and -silent, respectively, consistent with their S(T) = (5)/(2) and S(T) = 3 ground states, respectively.  相似文献

M(2)(O(t)Bu)(6) compounds (M = Mo, W) react in hydrocarbon solvents with an excess of (t)BuSH to give M(2)(O(t)Bu)(2)(S(t)Bu)(4), red, air- and temperature-sensitive compounds. (1)H NMR studies reveal the equilibrium M(2)(O(t)Bu)(6) + 4(t)BuSH <==> M(2)(O(t)Bu)(2)(S(t)Bu)(4) + 4(t)BuOH proceeds to the right slowly at 22 degrees C. The intermediates M(2)(O(t)Bu)(4)(S(t)Bu)(2), M(2)(O(t)Bu)(3)(S(t)Bu)(3), and M(2)(O(t)Bu)(5)(S(t)Bu) have been detected. The equilibrium constants show the M-O(t)Bu bonds to be enthalpically favored over the M-S(t)Bu bonds. In contrast to the M(2)(O(t)Bu)(6) compounds, M(2)(O(t)Bu)(2)(S(t)Bu)(4) compounds are inert with respect to the addition of CO, CO(2), ethyne, (t)BuC triple bond CH, MeC triple bond N, and PhC triple bond N. Addition of an excess of (t)BuSH to a hydrocarbon solution of W(2)(O(t)Bu)(6)(mu-CO) leads to the rapid expulsion of CO and subsequent formation of W(2)(O(t)Bu)(2)(S(t)Bu)(4). Addition of an excess of (t)BuSH to hydrocarbon solutions of [Mo(O(t)Bu)(3)(NO)](2) and W(O(t)Bu)(3)(NO)(py) gives the structurally related compounds [Mo(S(t)Bu)(3)(NO)](2) and W(S(t)Bu)(3)(NO)(py), with linear M-N-O moieties and five-coordinate metal atoms. The values of nu(NO) are higher in the related thiolate compounds than in their alkoxide counterparts. The bonding in the model compounds M(2)(EH)(6), M(2)(OH)(2)(EH)(4), (HE)(3)M triple bond CMe, and W(EH)(3)(NO)(NH(3)) and the fragments M(EH)(3), where M = Mo or W and E = O or S, has been examined by DFT B3LYP calculations employing various basis sets including polarization functions for O and S and two different core potentials, LANL2 and relativistic CEP. BLYP calculations were done with ZORA relativistic terms using ADF 2000. The calculations, irrespective of the method used, indicate that the M-O bonds are more ionic than the M-S bonds and that E ppi to M dpi bonding is more important for E = O. The latter raises the M-M pi orbital energies by ca. 1 eV for M(2)(OH)(6) relative to M(2)(SH)(6). For M(EH)(3) fragments, the metal d(xz)(),d(yz)() orbitals are destabilized by OH ppi bonding, and in W(EH)(3)(NO)(NH(3)) the O ppi to M dpi donation enhances W dpi to NO pi* back-bonding. Estimates of the bond strengths for the M triple bond M in M(2)(EH)(6) compounds and M triple bond C in (EH)(3)M triple bond CMe have been obtained. The stronger pi donation of the alkoxide ligands is proposed to enhance back-bonding to the pi* orbitals of alkynes and nitriles and facilitate their reductive cleavage, a reaction that is not observed for their thiolate counterpart.  相似文献

Ru(2)(Fap)(4)Cl and Ru(2)(Fap)(4)(NO)Cl, where Fap is the 2-(2-fluoroanilino)pyridinate anion, were synthesized, and their structural, electrochemical, and spectroscopic properties were characterized. Ru(2)(Fap)(4)Cl, which was obtained by reaction between Ru(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)Cl and molten HFap, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 11.2365(4) A, b = 19.9298(8) A, c = 19.0368(7) A, beta = 90.905(1) degrees, and Z = 4. The presence of three unpaired electrons on the Ru(2)(5+) core and the 2.2862(3) A Ru-Ru bond length for Ru(2)(Fap)(4)Cl are consistent with the electronic configuration (sigma)(2)(pi)(4)(delta)(2)(pi*)(2)(delta*)(1). The reaction between Ru(2)(Fap)(4)Cl and NO gas yields Ru(2)(Fap)(4)(NO)Cl, which crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, with a = 10.0468(6) A, b = 18.8091(10) A, c = 41.7615(23) A, and Z = 8. The Ru-Ru bond length of Ru(2)(Fap)(4)(NO)Cl is 2.4203(8) A, while its N-O bond length and Ru-N-O bond angle are 1.164(8) A and 155.8(6) degrees, respectively. Ru(2)(Fap)(4)(NO)Cl can be formulated as a formal Ru(2)(II,II)(NO(+)) complex with a linear Ru-N-O group, and the proposed electronic configuration for this compound is (sigma)(2)(pi)(4)(delta)(2)(pi*)(3)(delta*)(1). The binding of NO to Ru(2)(Fap)(4)Cl leads to some structural changes of the Ru(2)(Fap)(4) framework and a stabilization of the lower oxidation states of the diruthenium unit. Also, IR spectroelectrochemical studies of Ru(2)(Fap)(4)(NO)Cl show that NO remains bound to the complex upon reduction and that the first reduction involves the addition of an electron on the diruthenium core and not on the NO axial ligand.  相似文献
