According to Grothendieck Duality Theory [RD], on each varietyV over a fieldk, there is a canonical complex of -modules, theresidue complex . These complexes satisfy (and are characterized by) functorial properties in the categoryV ofk-varieties. In [Ye] a complex is constructed explicitly (when the fieldk is perfect). The main result of this paper is that the two families of complexes, and , which carry certain additional data (such as trace maps…), are uniquely isomorphic. As a corollary we recover Lipman’s canonical dualizing sheaf of [Li], and we obtain formulas for residues of local cohomology classes of differential forms.  相似文献

IfR/k resp.S/R are genetically smooth algebras of finite type, equidimensional of relative dimensiond resp.n, then the canonical isomorphism of meromorphic differential forms induces a homomorphism R/k d S/R n S/k d+n of regular differential forms, which is an isomorphism ifR/k andS/R are Cohen-Macaulay or ifR/k is Gorenstein.  相似文献

A rather simple natural outer derivation of the graded Lie algebra of all vector valued differential forms with the Frölicher-Nijenhuis bracket turns out to be a differential and gives rise to a cohomology of the manifold, which is functorial under local diffeomorphisms. This cohomology is determined as the direct product of the de Rham cohomology space and the graded Lie algebra of traceless vector valued differential forms, equipped with a new natural differential concomitant as graded Lie bracket. We find two graded Lie algebra structures on the space of differential forms. Some consequences and related results are also discussed.  相似文献

Let C be a complex affine reduced curve, and denote by H1(C) its first truncated cohomology group, i.e. the quotient of all regular differential 1-forms by exact 1-forms. First we introduce a nonnegative invariant μ(C,x) that measures the complexity of the singularity of C at the point x, and we establish the following formula:

We introduce the notion of cofoliation on a stack. A cofoliation is a change of the differentiable structure which amounts to giving a full representable smooth epimorphism. Cofoliations are uniquely determined by their associated Lie algebroids.Cofoliations on stacks arise from flat connections on groupoids. Connections on groupoids generalize connections on gerbes and bundles in a natural way. A flat connection on a groupoid is an integrable distribution of the morphism space compatible with the groupoid structure and complementary to both source and target fibres. A cofoliation of a stack determines the flat groupoid up to étale equivalence. We show how a cofoliation on a stack gives rise to a refinement of the Hodge to De Rham spectral sequence, where the E1-term consists entirely of vector bundle valued cohomology groups. Our theory works for differentiable, holomorphic and algebraic stacks.  相似文献

In recent work, Belishev and Sharafutdinov show that the generalized Dirichlet to Neumann (DN) operator Λ on a compact Riemannian manifold M with boundary ∂M determines de Rham cohomology groups of M. In this paper, we suppose G is a torus acting by isometries on M. Given X in the Lie algebra of G and the corresponding vector field XM on M, Witten defines an inhomogeneous coboundary operator dXM=d+ιXM on invariant forms on M. The main purpose is to adapt Belishev-Sharafutdinov?s boundary data to invariant forms in terms of the operator dXM in order to investigate to what extent the equivariant topology of a manifold is determined by the corresponding variant of the DN map. We define an operator ΛXM on invariant forms on the boundary which we call the XM-DN map and using this we recover the XM-cohomology groups from the generalized boundary data (∂M,ΛXM). This shows that for a Zariski-open subset of the Lie algebra, ΛXM determines the free part of the relative and absolute equivariant cohomology groups of M. In addition, we partially determine the ring structure of XM-cohomology groups from ΛXM. These results explain to what extent the equivariant topology of the manifold in question is determined by ΛXM.  相似文献

We consider the flow of a stochastic differential equation on d-dimensional Euclidean space. We show that if the Lie algebra generated by its diffusion vector fields is finite dimensional and solvable, then the flow is conjugate to the flow of a non-autonomous random differential equation, i.e. one can be transformed into the other via a random diffeomorphism of d-dimensional Euclidean space. Viewing a stochastic differential equation in this form which appears closer to the setting of ergodic theory, can be an advantage when dealing with asymptotic properties of the system. To illustrate this, we give sufficient criteria for the existence of global random attractors in terms of the random differential equation, which are applied in the case of the Duffing-van der Pol oscillator with two independent sources of noise. We present a formula for the regular part of a sectorial form that represents a general linear second-order differential expression that may include lower-order terms. The formula is given in terms of the original coefficients. It shows that the regular part is again a differential sectorial form and allows to characterise when also the singular part is sectorial. While this generalises earlier results on pure second-order differential expressions, it also shows that lower-order terms truly introduce new behaviour.  相似文献

In this short paper, we prove that ifR is a regular local ring of unequal characteristic, then there exists an additive covariant functorG from the category of abelian sheaves on SpecR to the category of abelian groups such that id R (G(R))>dimG(R). This result shows that the answer to the question 3.8 (ii) in [3] may be negative.  相似文献
