针对气体碰撞电离过程,介绍了蒙特卡罗碰撞(MMC)的处理方法,利用MMC方法编写了气体碰撞电离模块,将其移植到3维全电磁粒子模拟程序NEPTUNE之中,模拟了充有He气的磁绝缘线振荡器(MILO)。模拟结果表明:当He气密度较低时,电离的正离子由于较重无法自由移动,形成了正离子通道,可以有效中和电子束空间电荷场,有利于电子束传输和群聚,提高了束波互作用效率,微波输出功率得到了明显提高,起振时间也有所缩短;当进一步增加He气密度时,电离碰撞增强,电子和离子数目会雪崩式增长,电子束由于碰撞增强而导致能散度增大,其负效应已经远大于中和空间电荷场的正效应,反而不利于电子束的群聚和共振,从而导致输出微波功率降低乃至截断,起振时间缩短是由于其在非雪崩阶段的正效应积累所致,但是随着负效应的增强起振功率不能得以维持,二极管最终将闭合。另外,还模拟了MILO填充空气、水蒸气及二氧化碳等多原子、多组分气体的碰撞电离物理过程。模拟结果显示,同压强情况下,填充空气、水蒸气及二氧化碳的脉冲缩短现象要比填充He气等较低原子序数气体的情况严重得多。  相似文献

In this article we shall look a bit more closely at some of the fundamental plasma parameters obtained by a cylindrical Langmuir probe within low-pressure electrical gas discharge plasma. The presented measurements were made in argon and in helium glow discharge plasmas. We are mainly concerned with the densities of the charged particles (electrons and ions) within the plasma and the effect of the discharge conditions upon them. The electron density is calculated from the electron current at the space potential and from the integration over the EEDF. The ion density is calculated by using the OML collisionless theory. The parameterization of Laframboise's numerical results is also used for the ion density calculation. In the range of our experimental conditions the results of plasma density, for both gases, tend to show that the ion densities measured with the OML and Laframboise theories exceeds the measured electron densities. The results also show that the plasma electron and ion densities increased with both discharge power and gas pressure.  相似文献

通过红外光谱和荧光发射光谱分别对600 keV、4 MeV和5 MeV Kr离子辐照的SiO2进行发光特性的研究。在低能量辐照体系中,简单色心(F2色心)的形成在损伤过程中占据主导地位,其主要诱发蓝光发射带;在高能离子辐照条件下,离子径迹上的能量密度较大,因此缺陷浓度的增大产生了一些缺陷团簇和离子径迹,形成了复杂的色心(F2+和F3+色心等)并诱发了强烈的绿光发射带和红光发射带。该实验结果与能量损失过程中统一热峰理论模型(一个综合的基于电子能损与核能损的非弹性碰撞模型和弹性碰撞模型)的模拟结果能够很好地吻合,表明在keV~MeV能区上存在电子能损过程与核能损过程的协同效应。  相似文献

A theory for modelling electrolyte solutions which includes the formation of ion clusters of different size has been developed in the framework of the primitive model. In primitive models the solvent is described as a dielectric continuum and the solvent–solute interactions are neglected. For the dielectric constant the value of the pure solvent has been used. The ion cluster distribution is calculated from the mass action law. The association constants are related to integrals over the cluster distribution functions which are calculated with the Kirkwood superposition approximation from low density pair distribution functions. The ion clusters are defined by a certain distance which rules if two ions belong to the same cluster. This so-called Bjerrum distance is chosen according to fundamental investigations of the structure of ion cluster. All ion clusters are modelled as hard spheres. For the free ions and charged clusters the mean spherical approximation expression for the Coulomb interaction is added. The co-volumes of the ion clusters have been taken from the investigation of the ion cluster structures, and are consistent with the definition of an ion cluster chosen here.  相似文献

The intensity and the energy distribution of Si+n cluster ions emitted from clean silicon have been measured for different target orientations as a function of the primary ion energy (3–30 keV) and the projectile mass (noble gas ion bombardment). The results favour the idea that clusters are emitted as such rather than being produced by vacuum recombination of individually emitted atoms and ions.  相似文献

准确测量气态靶区的有效靶原子密度能够提升离子与气体和离子与等离子体靶相互作用实验结果的精度和对物理过程的认识.实验中利用离子加速器引出的100 ke V质子束穿过一定长度的氢气靶,对质子的剩余能量进行了精确测量,获得了在气体靶内的质子能损数据,结合已有的能损研究结果,重新标定了气体靶区内的有效靶原子密度.分别比较了能损、电离型真空计IonIVac ITR 90和薄膜电容型真空计Varian CDG-500的实验测量结果,对比了修正后的电离型真空计有效气压曲线,结果发现质子束能损的测量方式具有原位、高准确性、在线监测等突出优势,为诊断气态靶有效原子密度提供了新的方法.  相似文献

A self-consistent field of a charged micron-size particle placed in a rarefied ionized gas is created by both free ions moving along infinite trajectories and trapped ions moving in closed orbits. The character of screening of the particle field is analyzed under dynamic conditions in a nonequilibrium plasma where the temperature (or the mean energy) of electrons greatly exceeds the ion temperature. Under these conditions, trapped ions are generated in a restricted region of the particle field where the transitions between closed ion orbits resulting from resonant charge exchange dominate. This leads to a higher number density of trapped ions compared to that of free ions. The parameters of the self-consistent field of the particle and ions are found when free or trapped ions determine the screening of the particle field, and a similarity law is established for a simultaneous variation of the number density of plasma particles and the particle size. In dusty plasmas of the Solar System, which result from the interaction of the solar wind with dust, formation of trapped ions increases the plasma number density compared to that in the solar wind.  相似文献

建立了气体放电空心圆筒阴极鞘层离子的自洽蒙特-卡罗模拟模型,对鞘层区内离子的输运过程进行了研究。考虑了离子与中性原子的电荷交换碰撞和弹性散射,用到了精确依赖于离子能量的电荷交换和动量输运截面。模拟了氩离子在空心阴极鞘层中的运动,得到了不同放电条件下自洽电场分布,离子的能量分布,角分布以及电子密度分布和离子密度分布。计算结果表明:离子在由鞘层边界向阴极运动过程中,离子能量分布的高能部分逐渐增大,角分布向小角度部分压缩,鞘层中的强电场对离子起加速和聚焦作用;在鞘层内离子密度分布比较均匀,只是在鞘层边界附近变化 关键词:  相似文献

The energy absorption efficiency of high-intensity (~10^{16}W/cm^2) femtosecond laser pulses in a dense jet of large rare-gas clusters has been measured. Experimental results show that the energy absorption efficiency is strongly dependent on the cluster size and can be higher than 90%. The measurement of the ion energy indicates that the average ion energies of argon and xenon can be as high as 90 and 100keV, respectively. The dependence of the average energy of the ions on the cluster size is also measured. At comparatively low gas backing pressure, the average ion energies of argon and xenon increase with increasing gas backing pressure. The average ion energy of argon becomes saturated gradually with further increase of the gas backing pressure. For xenon, the average ion energy drops a little after the gas backing pressure exceeds 9 bar (3.2×10^5 atoms/cluster). The result showing the existence of a maximum average ion energy has been interpreted within the framework of the microplasma sphere model.  相似文献

A theoretical global model is presented for describing the kinetics of generation and growth of clusters and nanoparticles in low-pressure plasmas, where important processes for clusters and grains are collisions with monomers, electrons, and ions and particle coagulation and loss because of diffusion and gas flow drag. Simple equations are given for calculations of monomer density, particle-size distribution function, critical cluster size, the rate of particle production and particle density and mean size, and plasma characteristics (the densities and average energies of “cold” and “hot” electrons and the density of positively charged ions). The model is self-consistent; that is, the above-mentioned properties of clusters, nanoparticles, electrons, and ions are calculated jointly from coupled equations as functions of a small number of radio frequency (RF) discharge parameters (discharge geometry; absorbed electric power; voltage across the RF sheath; gas pressure; composition; and flow rate). Various definitions of the symmetry energy are introduced for nuclei, dilute nuclear matter below saturation density and stellar matter, which is found in compact stars or core-collapse supernovae. The resulting differences are exemplified by calculations in a theoretical approach based on a generalized relativistic density functional for dense matter. It contains nucleonic clusters as explicit degrees of freedom with medium-dependent properties that are derived for light clusters from a quantum statistical approach. With such a model the dissolution of clusters at high densities can be described. The effects of the liquid-gas phase transition in nuclear matter and of cluster formation in stellar matter on the density dependence of the symmetry energy are studied for different temperatures. It is observed that correlations and the formation of inhomogeneous matter at low densities and temperatures causes an increase of the symmetry energy as compared to calculations assuming a uniform uncorrelated spatial distribution of constituent baryons and leptons.  相似文献

In Ref. a method was described by use of secondary ion emission to generate wellcollimated and intense beams of heavy negative ions. In this paper the processes are studied that govern the emission of molecular ions from continuously regenerated surfaces. A rotating iron target was bombarded by noble gas ions in the energy range from 17 to 30 keV. The secondary ion yield was measured as a function of primary current density, mass and energy of the primary ions, gas pressure and the rotation frequency of the target.  相似文献

A system of integro-differential equations describing the velocity distribution functions of the neutral atoms and of the ions and the radial profiles of the electric potential and the particle densities in the positive column at low pressures and high degrees of ionization is derived. This system is solved for a simplified, but self-consistent, plane model. Both the initial velocity of the ions and the neutral gas depletion caused by the ionization processes are taken into account. For a cylindrical model a solution is obtained for the region near the axis. With rising neutral gas temperature the radial ion flux density is slightly increasing. The pressure tensor, the heat flux tensor, and several components of the corresponding tensor of the fourth order for the ion gas are calculated. It is shown that on the axis the radial and the azimuthal ion temperatures are smaller than the neutral gas temperature because the ions generated out of neutral atoms are retarded during the flight to the axis.  相似文献

The Falicov–Kimball model consists of spinless electrons and classical particles (ions) on a lattice. The electrons hop between nearest neighbor sites, while the ions do not. We consider the model with equal numbers of ions and electrons and with a large on-site attractive force between ions and electrons. For densities 1/4 and 1/5, the ion configuration in the ground state had been proved to be periodic. We prove that for density 2/9 it is periodic as well. However, for densities between 1/4 and 1/5 other than 2/9 we prove that the ion configuration in the ground state is not periodic. Instead there is phase separation. For densities in (1/5, 2/9) the ground-state ion configuration is a mixture of the density 1/5 and 2/9 ground-state ion configurations. For the interval (2/9, 1/4) it is a mixture of the density 2/9 and 1/4 ground states.  相似文献

This Letter addresses the counterintuitive behavior of electrons injected into dense cryogenic media with negative scattering length L. Instead of strongly reduced mobility at all but the lowest densities due to the polaronic effect involving the formation of density enhancement clusters (expected in the theory with a simple gas-electron interaction successfully applied earlier to electrons in helium where L>0) which should substantially decrease the electron mobility, an opposite picture is observed: with increasing |L| (the trend taking place for inert gases with the growth of atomic number) and the gas density, the electrons remain practically free. An explanation of this behavior is provided based on consistent accounting for the nonlinearity of the electron interaction with the gaseous medium in the gas atom number density.  相似文献
