This article deals with a bioeconomic model of prey–predator system with Holling type III functional response. The dynamical behavior of the system is extensively discussed. Continuous type gestational delay of predators is incorporated in the system to study delay induced instability. It is observed that the system undergoes singularity induced bifurcation at interior equilibrium point when net economic revenue of the system increases through zero. State feedback controller is designed to stabilize the system at positive economic profit. Time delay is considered as a bifurcation parameter to prove the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation phenomenon in the neighborhood of the coexisting equilibrium point. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out to verify the analytical results and the system is analyzed through graphical illustrations. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. It is known that one-predator–two-prey system with constant rate harvesting can exhibit very rich dynamics. If such a system contains time delayed component, it can have more interesting behavior. In this paper we study the effects of the time delay on the dynamics of the harvested one-predator–two-prey model. It is shown that time delay can cause a stable equilibrium to become unstable. By choosing the delay τ as a bifurcation parameter, we show that Hopf bifurcation can occur as the delay τ crosses some critical values. The direction and stability of the Hopf bifurcation are investigated by following the procedure of deriving normal form given by Faria and Magalhães. An example is given and numerical simulations are finally performed for justifying the theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the complex dynamics in a discrete-time model of predator–prey interaction with a Beddington–DeAngelis functional response. Local stability analysis of this model is carried out and many forms of complexities are observed using ecology theories and numerical simulation of the global behavior. Furthermore, the existence of a strange attractor and computation of the largest Lyapunov exponent also demonstrate the chaotic dynamic behavior of the model. The results show that the system exhibits rich complexity features such as stable, periodic and chaotic dynamics.  相似文献

A three species food chain model with Beddington–DeAngelis functional response is investigated. The local stability analysis is carried out and global behavior is simulated numerically for a biologically feasible choice of parameters. The persistence conditions of a food chain model are established. The bifurcation diagrams are obtained for different parameters of the model after intensive numerical simulations. The results of simulations show that the model could exhibit chaotic dynamics for realistic and biologically feasible parametric values. Finally, the effect of immigration within prey species is investigated. It is observed that adding small amount of constant immigration to prey species stabilize the system.  相似文献

This article studies a delayed singular prey–predator economic model with stochastic fluctuations, which is described by differential‐algebraic equations due to a economic theory. Local stability and Hopf bifurcation condition are described on the delayed singular prey–predator economic model within deterministic environment. It reveals the sensitivity of the model dynamics on gestation time delay. A phenomenon of Hopf bifurcation occurs as the gestation time delay increases through a certain threshold. Subsequently, a singular stochastic prey–predator economic model with time delay is obtained by introducing Gaussian white noise terms to the above deterministic model system. The fluctuation intensity of population and harvest effort are calculated by Fourier transforms method. Numerical simulations are carried out to substantiate these theory analysis. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Complexity 19: 23–29, 2014  相似文献

The stable and unstable manifolds of a saddle fixed point (SFP) of the Bonhoeffer–van der Pol oscillator are numerically studied. A correspondence between the existence of homoclinic tangencies (which are related to the creation or destruction of Smale horseshoes) and the chaos observed in the bifurcation diagram is described. It is observed that in the non-chaotic zones of the bifurcation diagram, there may or may not be Smale horseshoes, but there are no homoclinic tangencies.  相似文献

Based on the classical predator–prey system with Watt-type functional response, an impulsive differential equations to model the process of periodic perturbations on the predator at different fixed time for pest control is proposed and investigated. It proves that there exists a globally asymptotically stable prey-eradication periodic solution when the impulse period is less than some critical value, and otherwise, the system can be permanent. Numerical results show that the system considered has more complicated dynamics involving quasi-periodic oscillation, narrow periodic window, wide periodic window, chaotic bands, period doubling bifurcation, symmetry-breaking pitchfork bifurcation, period-halving bifurcation and “crises”, etc. It will be useful for studying the dynamic complexity of ecosystems.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of traveling waves to a predator–prey model with a spatiotemporal delay. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of a positive steady state and each of boundary steady states are established, and the existence of Hopf bifurcation at the positive steady state is also discussed. By constructing a pair of upper–lower solutions and by using the cross‐iteration method as well as the Schauder's fixed‐point theorem, the existence of a traveling wave solution connecting the semi‐trivial steady state and the positive steady state is proved. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main theoretical results. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a predator–prey model with herd behavior and prey‐taxis subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. First, by analyzing the characteristic equation, the local stability of the positive equilibrium is discussed. Then, choosing prey‐tactic sensitivity coefficient as the bifurcation parameter, we obtain a branch of nonconstant solutions bifurcating from the positive equilibrium by an abstract bifurcation theory, and find the stable bifurcating solutions near the bifurcation point under suitable conditions. We have shown that prey‐taxis can destabilize the uniform equilibrium and yields the occurrence of spatial patterns. Furthermore, some numerical simulations to illustrate the theoretical analysis are also carried out, Turing patterns such as spots pattern, spots–strip pattern, strip pattern, stable nonconstant steady‐state solutions, and spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions are obtained, which also expand our theoretical results.  相似文献

A ratio-dependent predator–prey model with stage structure for the predator and time delay due to the gestation of the predator is investigated. By analyzing the characteristic equations, the local stability of a positive equilibrium and a boundary equilibrium is discussed, respectively. Further, it is proved that the system undergoes a Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium when τ = τ0. By using an iteration technique, sufficient conditions are derived for the global attractivity of the positive equilibrium. By comparison arguments, sufficient conditions are obtained for the global stability of the boundary equilibrium. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.  相似文献

This paper presents a new approach to the analysis of asymptotic stability of artificial neural networks (ANN) with multiple time-varying delays subject to polytope-bounded uncertainties. This approach is based on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theory for functional differential equations and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique with the use of a recent Leibniz–Newton model based transformation without including any additional dynamics.Three examples with numerical simulations are used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The first example considers the neural network with multiple time-varying delays, which may be seen as a particular case of the second example where it is subject to uncertainties and multiple time-varying delays. Finally, the third example analyzes the stability of the neural network with higher numbers of neurons subject to a single time-delay. The Hopf bifurcation theory is used to verify the stability of the system when the origin falls into instability in the bifurcation point.  相似文献

The present investigation deals with a predator–prey model with disease that spreads among the predator species only. The predator species is split out into two groups—the susceptible predator and the infected predator both of which feeds on prey species. The stability and bifurcation analyses are carried out and discussed at length. On the basis of the normal form theory and center manifold reduction, the explicit formulae are derived to determine stability and direction of Hopf bifurcating periodic solution. An extensive quantitative analysis has been performed in order to validate the applicability of our model under consideration. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A theoretical eco‐epidemiological model of a prey–predator interaction system with disease in prey species is studied. Predator consumes both susceptible and infected prey population, but predator also feeds preferentially on many numerous species, which are over represented in the predator's diet. Equilibrium points of the system are determined, and the dynamic behaviour of the system is investigated around equilibrium points. Death rate of predator species is considered as a bifurcation parameter to examine the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation in the neighbourhood of the coexisting equilibria. Numerical simulations are carried out to support the analytical results. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The Beddington–DeAngelis predator–prey system with distributed delay is studied in this paper. At first, the positive equilibrium and its local stability are investigated. Then, with the mean delay as a bifurcation parameter, the system is found to undergo a Hopf bifurcation. The bifurcating periodic solutions are analyzed by means of the normal form and center manifold theorems. Finally, numerical simulations are also given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

It has been reported that a saddle node bifurcation or a blue sky bifurcation causes voltage collapse in an electric power system. In these references, computer simulations are carried out with the voltage magnitude of the generator bus terminal held constant. The generator model described by differential equations of internal flux linkages allows the voltage magnitude of the generator bus terminal to change. By using this model, we have carried out computer simulations of the power system to determine the cause of voltage collapse. It is a cyclic fold bifurcation of the stable limit cycle caused by an unstable limit cycle that leads to the voltage collapse. The involvement of complicated sequences of unstable limit cycles with cyclic fold bifurcations is confirmed, and the voltage collapse which is caused by perturbation for steady states is related to these unstable limit cycles. This is very interesting from the point of view of a nonlinear problem. From the point of view of a power system, the power system will fluctuate in practice even in normal operation, and may sometimes operate beyond the limit of its stability in recent year. It is very important in this situation that we clarify bifurcations of limit cycles on the power system.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the problem of a classical predator–prey system with infection of prey population. A classical predator–prey system is split into three groups, namely susceptible prey, infected prey and predator. The relative removal rate of the susceptible prey due to infection is worked out. We observe the dynamical behaviour of this system around each of the equilibria and point out the exchange of stability. It is shown that local asymptotic stability of the system around the positive interior equilibrium ensures its global asymptotic stability. We prove that there is always a Hopf bifurcation for increasing transmission rate. To substantiate the analytical findings, numerical experiments have been carried out for hypothetical set of parameter values. Our analysis shows that there is a threshold level of infection below which all the three species will persist and above which the disease will be epidemic. In this paper, the flip bifurcation and periodic doubling bifurcations of a discrete population model without delay influence is firstly studied and the phenomenon of Feigenbaum’s cascade of periodic doublings is also observed. Secondly, we explored the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation in the delay population model (two-dimension discrete dynamical systems) and the unique stable closed invariant curve which bifurcates from the nontrivial fixed point. Finally, a computer-assisted study for the delay population model is also delved into. Our computer simulation shows that the introduction of delay effect in a nonlinear difference equation derived from the logistic map leads to much richer dynamic behavior, such as stable node → stable focus → an lower-dimensional closed invariant curve (quasi-periodic solution, limit cycle) or/and stable periodic solutions → chaotic attractor by cascading bubbles (the combination of potential period doubling and reverse period-doubling) and the sudden change between two different attractors, etc.  相似文献

A predator–prey system with stage structure for the predator and time delay due to the gestation of the predator is investigated. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of a positive equilibrium and two boundary equilibria of the system is discussed, respectively. Further, the existence of a Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium is also studied. By using an iteration technique and comparison argument, respectively, sufficient conditions are derived for the global stability of the positive equilibrium and one of the boundary equilibria of the proposed system. As a result, the threshold is obtained for the permanence and extinction of the system. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a class of generalized Burgers–Huxley equation by employing the bifurcation method of planar dynamical systems. Firstly, we reduce the equation to a planar system via the traveling wave solution ansatz; then by computing the singular point quantities, we obtain the conditions of integrability and determine the existence of one stable limit cycle from Hopf bifurcation in the corresponding planar system. From this, some new exact solutions and a special periodic traveling wave solution, which is isolated as a limit, are obtained. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We study pattern formations in a predator–prey model with prey‐taxis. It is proved that a branch of nonconstant solutions can bifurcate from the positive equilibrium only when the chemotactic is repulsive. Furthermore, we find the stable bifurcating solutions near the bifurcation point under suitable conditions. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
